Clean, quite, professional, and respectful. The part that was so rewarding to me was the local side which displayed the freedom towns inside of the Houston area. Most people have no idea that Houston has over 3 freedom towns. 3rd, 4th, and 5th ward are all town establish by black Americans post enslavement. Incredible legacy, history, and informative. I will be back to study, review, and research again.

I went here today and was just flooded with information and the history of this historic location! It's very enlightening to learn the history of a community you are in or that is nearby. Very eye opening and I would love to come back again and bring my girlfriend to learn more. I will have to sit and read a book in their non circulating library as well on my next visit!

I had seen it but I didnt know that it was open. I thought it was a library from the historic days and not open to the public. Its very clean inside and very quiet.
