The veterinarian's for the most part are good. They have new front desk staff and they are HORRIBLE!! They are lazy, rude, and very unprofessional. I've been coming here for a while with both of my dogs. Several incidents have occurred. One example is that I was waiting to check out, and 2 of the girls were just sharing a phone and watching social media and completely ignored me. I had to ask if they could check me out. The last visit, my dog was referred to a specialist. The front desk staff basically refused to send over my dog's medical chart to the specialist so my dog can be seen. The specialist will not see my dog until Alief sends over the record. Alief's front desk staff told me that the specialist has to call over. I called the specialist, and they NEVER heard of such a thing. They did call over to Alief 3-4 times, and still did not get the record sent over. Finally, they sent something over, but it was a blank email only showing my name and my dog's name. The specialist even cc'd me the email, and it has been a week now, and we are still waiting! When I call Alief, they place me on hold immediately, and never get back on the phone. They have caller ID, and know it's me. I really wonder if they front desk staff even have their G.E.D. because of the ignorance and unprofessionalism. It's pretty basic what I am asking for. I was told by the vet at Alief that whey would send them over, and the vet must not have a clue how bad the front desk staff really is. This is really sad. I will probably have to take my dog to the emergency vet now all because the incompetent front desk staff!
IMPORTANT!! PLEASE READ CAN SAVE YOUR PETS LIFE! Do not get vaccines here they vaccinate on the scruff area, In 1997, the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) came out with the strong recommendation to never use the scruff area for vaccines. NO vaccine (adjuvanted or non-adjuvanted) is to be given in the scruff area under any circumstance. They are to be given as low on a limb as possible. This is to allow for limb amputation if a VAS occurs. Adjuvants are substances that are added to vaccines to purposely cause inflammation at the vaccine site in order to alert the immune system to its presence. They are used with killed vaccines to stimulate a more robust immune response. (THIS IS HORRIBLE BTW) Do not assume that your veterinarian uses non-adjuvanted vaccines. BTW VACCINES NEED TO STOP BEING ADMINISTERED AS FREQUENTLY. Please please please look up DOI (date of immunity) articles on vaccines. It will tell you all the facts about how vets are OVER-VACCINATING which leads to sarcomas (deadly cancerous tumors) These are highly invasive, aggressive/malignant cancerous tumors that are often fatal within months of appearing. They appear to be most commonly associated with vaccine adjuvants but can also form at the site of any injection that causes local inflammation. Okay I’m not trying to scare anyone in any way I just want to bring light to research that is available to anyone. I personally feel that this vet clinic does not have our fur babies best interest in mind. Absolutely Horrible vet office, don’t forget the fact that the receptionist are rude af.
What a terrible day it was. I took a two-month-old Tintin cat to birth control surgery. doctor Thomas Hofstetter may have been anesthetized too early during the operation, and asked me to take the cat home for four hours. When I took the cat home less than ten minutes, my cat died, this rescue of the cat is very clever, so that I can not bear to die in my hands, I feel very guilty. I didn't know that a birth control operation would kill a cat, I didn't know why, and the doctor didn't know why, and he asked me to take the cat home in advance, which was out of order. I don't know what kind of doctor they take care of. An old man named Thomas Hofstetter didn't respect his life. On April 2 this year, my pregnant female cat was killed during the pupa operation. I think it should be bigger and die of bleeding. On November 26th, an appointment was made for a female cat for birth control, and another big cat who had already been treated for tooth extractions. As a result, her teeth should be washed for birth control. Fortunately, she has no teeth to extract, because she is still a little female cat. She sew a stump on her stomach sloppily. She had had birth control surgery long ago. Before that, she shaved her hair with a razor and checked for overlapping marks two days ago. In this way, the so-called doctor named Thomas didn't find it. Still, he cut a knife on the belly of this beautiful cat. And cut her ears in half to make her a sign of a stray cat! ?
Update: Sunday/12-10-23. Mr. Leon Rubio my family's spoiled rescue cat we've been having since he was a kitten. Always having the privilege of going in & out of the house. Unfortunately he got into a catfight protecting his territory! I'm sure Leon Rubio won the fight, because he doesn't have too much damage. He received antibiotic & pain relief injections for a bite on his neck. I see alot of negative posts about this place and it's crazy to me because these amazing people saved my girls life. I came here after my dog has not been eating just drinking and vomiting for a week after making a visit the day before at a different get who took X-rays and recommended surgery at this facility which would cost between 1200-1400 to remove blockage intestines. So I get there very worried drop her off and they call me right away and tell me that they don't recommend surgery saying they don't see enough of a blockage to open her up and don't want to put her through that if it isn't necessary note at this point I've already dropped off $ for surgery. This is a Friday fast forward two days and they took new xrayeband opened her up on Sunday. they Removed all the stuff blocking her intestines and took care of her I brought her back the next day they took care of her some more gave her fluids and food and medicine and she was well enough to come home. This was a 5-day process they were taking care of her and had surgery and I was only charged the initial money I dropped off. They were very informative when it came to crunch time. I would recommend these people anytime without them my girl Dallas would not be with me.
Do not leave your dogs here. I came to Houston to visit family and I had to board my dogs for 2 nights. You can tell walking in it is not cleaned. Smelled like urine, and it was just total chaos. I went against my better judgment because this is where my family take their dogs. They do not care for your dogs. I received my dogs back covered in urine around their paws. I also provided food which by the way I never got back. I highly doubt they finished all that food in 2 days. When we came to pick them up, waited over an hour just to pick up my dog which was ridiculous even though we paid before we boarded them. Another disturbing thing, there was a young lady who came in with an emergency, her dog look like it was going to make it. I saw the front desk clearly turned this woman away. If that isn’t clear indication what kind of vet they are, than I don’t know what is. To add the icing to the cake, both dogs got sick from their facility. Do yourself a favor, and do not bring your pets here. My dog is still recovering from being sick. Go to an accredited veterinary hospital or a different vet office that will provide you better care.
I brought my girl, Pudding here on Tuesday (Oct 3) to get her spayed. When I brought her in in the early morning around 8:30am, she was a beautiful and strong and healthy dog. I even took her to a spa the day before to make sure her clean. I picked her up the same evening around 6pm, they returned her to me with an Elizabethein collar, that’s normal because we didnt want her to lick her incision. BUT, I didn’t notice they left a very thin and tight white rope or rubber band on her neck and I didn’t know that until 2 days later when I took off the collar to clean her neck up. Her neck already got swollen and got infected by that time. Early morning the 3rd day after she left the hospital and she was still on medication for postoperative, she vomitted twice. I brought back her to Alief animal hospital to re-check and also let them know about her neck. They didn’t take any responsibility or even say an apology, especially was the old Doctor, who was very rude. My girlfriend got really mad and came back the following day but the front desk just showed disrespectful behavior. My golden retriever is under stress now.
I was very glad that they accepted walk-ins, since all of the places I called before coming here required appointments. I was also very relieved that they treat guinea pigs since many places only treat cats and dogs. While examining my guinea pig, the vet immediately recognized an eye infection and said we would need antibiotics. They weighed him, checked his temperature, and then gave him 2 shots and fluids. The vet explained the medication, and we were good to go. He also told us which types of food and veggies are good for guinea pigs. It was an overall quick experience and the staff really know what they're doing. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful! I also liked how most of the staff is Spanish-speaking! Helped a lot with communication. The cost for a consult is $35, but it can add up depending on what your pet needs. We didn't have to wait long at all because there weren't many people there when we arrived, but there can be a wait if theres a lot of people there already. I'm really thankful that we found this place! My guinea pig is now better and back to normal :)
I understand that this vet/hospital is more geared towards low income areas and that's why the prices are reasonable . My dog of 14 years had just passed away this morning and this place was one of the only ones near that was open on a Sunday. My family wanted the ashes and did not want to leave our poor deceased dog out in the Houston sun. When we got there and finally made it to the front of the line the guy who was asked to come carry our dog in was so rough with her body and didn't offer any comfort at all. I knew she was deceased but her body still deserved respect, not for it to be manhandled by what seemed like an employee who hated being there. When he finally took her to the back he seemed to rush us out. I pet her one last time and said my goodbye and could only hope that behind closed doors they treated her respectful. If he has any pets I hope that for their sake they treat the body better than he does with those of other people. Please try to pay any difference to go to a respectable place where ALL of the staff actually care about the pets from birth to death.
The intake process even as a new patient was reasonable. They make you check-in in person, but you don’t have to have the animal with you. Once you’re checked in, as long as it’s before 7 they will make sure to see you the same day. $35 office visit, everything else depends on what the animal needs. They’ll call you when it’s getting close to your turn (cause they’ll be like 15 people ahead of you, and the waiting room is small), as in when there’s 3 people left ahead of you. But believe you me, that time goes by quickly. Can easily take 4+ hours for like 12 people, but then another time take maybe 2 hours for 15, you never know. They take patients at 7 if you have a deposit ($300-500) but they also have the most reasonable prices comparatively and they kind of work with you if you have at least a good chunk of what you’ll need for the animal. They are first come first serve, there’s no payment plans, and they can take care of everything that might be wrong. They have everything they need. This is a legit 100% hospital, not a clinic, they gotchu covered.
My friend took her cat in for a surgery on Thursday, dropped him off early and picked him up late around 6ish, the clinic was very busy, we picked up what seemed to be our cat and when we got into the car we noticed something weird, the cat was making a strange cry we didn’t recognize, come to realize the cat we had in our carrier was not our cat, we immediately took it back and told a short girl with long black hair that first of all we didn’t know if she was working or was just there to help or maybe new? She didn’t have scrubs on but we decided to tell her our situation, she asked us for a picture of our cat! I could not believe what I was hearing, I mean sure they might be busy but don’t they have a computer that tells them all the info? And last thing… she brought 2 other carriers with different cats in them and asked us if one of them was ours! Omg!!!! I could not believe her, that was definitely not a good experience at all, their prices are cheap but their customer service is bad, I hope they get better but for now I will stay away
I brought my puppy here for the first time today. It was a little wait, but I'm glad I was able to get in. My experience was okay. The pace of the visit was a little fast, due to the many people waiting to go in. Which made me a little nervous especially since it was my first visiting the clinic. I've driven by this place for years and even had a friend that used to work there so it made me feel a little comfortable about going after Googling vets in my area. I'm just now reading the mixed reviews, and I'm a little nervous now since my puppy did end up get two injections and prescribed antibiotics. I'm hoping she gets better and I have a positive review to leave when she's all clear. I'm keeping an eye on her as she rests. No complaints, however I did end up paying for a treatment which I told the technician that I didn't want and had to turn back around after reviewing my receipt again. The money was refunded without any issues. My visit today overall wasn't bad. Everyone was friendly despite their extremely busy day.
Great service! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was recommended by Petsmart because my dog was very matted. I called around 12pm spoke to the front desk they were very informative which I love and with prices! Telling me all the details. I even got to speak with the groomer which I loved informed me to come in the morning 8-9am so they can take my dog in they only do walkins which I like a lot to be honest I know my dog will be taken care of that day. I took him the next day and was able to talk to the groomer in person he was very informative on the process and what they’ll do to him and even show me the part of there body I got an estimate of how much it will. When I got there I paid less from the estimate which was good my baby didn’t had to be sedated and I like how he explain why some dogs get sedated. This place is very detailed about the process which I love thank you so much to the receptionists being so sweet! Helping me out and I believe if I’m not wrong Eduardo the groomer truly amazing!
On 7/4/23 I took my new puppy for an exam and fecal test. She was given dewormer and medication for coccidia, but otherwise a clean bill of health from Dr. Ferdinand Tamas. I returned with my puppy on 7/16 for her second round of shots. During the exam Dr. Marvin Hare informed me that “this puppy has a bad heart”. When asked for clarification his response was “It means she has a bad heart”. I am looking for a little more clarification and he checks again... then repeats himself. At this point, I ask “Why wasn’t informed of this 7/4/23 when she was examined?” Dr. Hare asked who we saw, and I informed him or the previous provider. His response "Oh he’s the owner and not very thorough.” – this is very unprofessional, and I did seek a second opinion elsewhere. I highly suggest to steer clear of this place. First visit showed negligence on the owner for not completing a thorough exam, and then the second visit failed to give me an explanation of diagnosis.
I needed vet service on the 31st of December and as I researched, Alief Animal Hospital was open. When I called, I was responded to immediately by a friendly lady who told me they would be available to take care of my pet. When I got there, they remembered me and knew what I was coming for. I appreciated they friendly welcome. As this animal clinic works as first come first serve, they let me know how many patients were ahead of me so I understood they would be a wait. While waiting I saw different pets and pet owners come through with a variety of needs and they were all taken care of. I appreciate the different levels of expertise and professionalism of the staff. I’m grateful for Alief Animal Hospital and happy to know that they are available when other vet clinics are not. Please expect a wait and if you have an emergency case, go to an emergency vet clinic. Otherwise, make time as the quality and cost for services is worth the wait.
The receptionist need to learn to greet the clients, it's just plain politeness. I've gone twice and never get a simple hello and the rooms honestly reek. They called me in and they were not even ready for me. A male vet assistant was the one who came out from the back and helped me get checked in instead of the ladies at the front (the receptionist) because they didn't even look up at me. Once we got in the room we waited and again it smelled really bad, I understand it the vet but there's no valid reason for it smelling that bad. A lady assistant and male doctor both quickly came in and were in a rush to get out while we are trying to ask them questions on how to care for our sick dog. The assistant literally had the door cracked open as we asked her out questions, on when and how to give our dog his medicine and the doctor was long gone. They really need to fix they're professionalism and get manners.
I went here on Thursday to help my grandma and grandpa to take their energetic 5 year old Pitbull-mutt mix to the Alief Animal Hospital to get looked at. The people who work there are nice and had sympathy for my grandma's crazy excited dog. The old vet guy was alright but wasn't much of an interpersonal communicator. Just a quick check up to get the dog looked at and what to prescribe. The other person working, Jose, was very memorable. Talking to him he was smart, direct, and very knowledgeable. Jose really cared for my grandmas dog as if she was his own, and spent a half hour talking to grandma to explain the dosage, frequency, and what times of day for each one to go with. My grandma loved him so much. She asked me to write a review! took about 2 hours being a walk in but was worth it to meet someone who stood out and such a caring-person as Jose!
I came here early in the morning as my pet was in critical condition. The receptionists were rude which was already concerning. They had us wait because the vets wouldn’t arrive for another two hours despite their clinic opening at 8. I waited outside for the vets to arrive and noticed that someone who appeared to look like one arrive in the parking lot. I went to speak to him and he barely made eye contact with me. Neither did he make sure to answer my questions. I took this as a bad sign because if BOTH the vets and front facing staff are this way, I wonder what level of care they give to pets. I left and received care elsewhere as there are other low costs clinic. Funnily enough the clinic I went to was 30 minutes away and by the time I arrived they had attended to my pet within 5 minutes.
I took my pet here because she was having a yellowish discharge from her eye. As I waited two hours to speak with the Vet and better understand what is going. As soon as I go into the room, the vet comes in 30 minutes later and looks at her eye. Later, he writes a bunch of notes and starts to walk away. I was trying to show a picture of my dog's eye to the doctor and he refused to look. When I asked him for an explanation as to what she has, he ignored me. My pet is in training and I want other pets to be safe, this doctor didn't explain anything to me and I had to take my puppy to another Vet to see what was going on with her. I would NEVER recommend this place, they only place emphasis on quantity not quality of care. The receptionists are very rude and the place is dirty.
Not a good place to board your dogs. I called and they told me for $20 a night, the dogs will have daily walks, plenty of water, spacious kennels (supposedly since they wouldn't let us see them). They advertise they closed at 5pm and even the receptionist told I can pick up my dogs at around that time when I dropped them off. So I cut my weekend trip short to make it back in time only be told that they will be closing at 3:30 instead. I couldn't make it back in time and was charged another night. I picked my dogs first thing the morning and they smelled terrible. They left my dogs locked up for 15 hours, probably sitting in their own filth. This place is shady and doesn't give you the care they sell you on.
The worst experience. Front desk attends at very unprofessional. Went in at 3:45 to check in my dog to be seen. Got the call at 5:45. Was told he was next in line. Arrive I am told he is next. She gets someone else in, I approach her and ask I thought I was next, her response is you are next. Then someone else goes in. I approach the fort desk and ask what is the deal. I am told there someone ahead of you. You miss understood. I was so upset I walked out and called her names. I know that I didn’t react accordingly but this is not the first time. They need to be respectful of peoples time. Had I been told come in 30 minutes. I would have done that. I will never go there and don’t recommend them.
I’m rating this place 5 starts because I’m so grateful for Dr. Jose and his service. My dog was not doing too well and Dr. Jose took the time to explain the why the how and what to do next. I like to be informed so I asked questions and he always took the time to answer my questions. I honestly felt that he had compassion for my fur baby, which is something that I rarely experience when going to the vet. I’m grateful that God placed Dr. Jose in my path that day because my dog is doing much better. I have a fur baby that does get a bit defensive, but he felt very comfortable with Dr. Jose and didn’t cry once. THANK YOU DR. JOSE, I sincerely appreciate your service and compassion for animals!
worst animal hospital ever. the doctor doesn’t even know what he’s doing and suggests quote and quote “ cutting a cat open “ without knowing anything about what’s even happening with the cat, just performing a surgery with no information what so ever on the animals condition. please invest in some better hospital especially if your animal is sick because these people do not know what they’re doing. i was more aware of what was wrong with my cat then the doctor himself he had no clue walked into the room with my cat talking about some other persons case. took my money and never even diagnosed my cat with anything. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE!!
So I took my cat to the vet today..and I've been there many times and man the vet lady keeps telling me,well most like pressuring me to fix my cats..I'm like ..um I want to have babies so I can have more bengal cats....she told me my cat ain't a bangel and it was some sort or related to a siamese cat but it was a mutt domestic cat..I'm like no she's not..and she's like I have a degree..I should know!..lol she fooled me..can somebody tagged her degree on here??or just tagged her to the post ..have a nice day degree lady!!.p.s I'll just take my paper work next time!!
I had to took my dog to this vet on Sunday, but I didn't like the experience. It was my first time there, and I don't think that I' come back. The assistant or technician, I'm not sure what he was, acts like he's the doctor, I didn't like the way he acted. It was weird because the doctor came and leave the room, and he didn't say anything, he didn't talk to us. I have many animals, and it's the first time that I visit a vet, and the doctor don't say a word to me. At the end, I didn't feel comfortable, and secure, because I didn't get a diagnostic from the doctor.
I took my puppy litter of seven to get their first set of shots today… not sure if it was the time of day but I was taken in right away where usually I have waited over 30 minutes to be seen in the past so I was really glad for that. I was attended by Jose who I want to say is the vet assistant at that clinic and he was very attentive to my puppies needs and made me feel like he was talking to a good friend!!! Jose thank you kindly for making this experience so wonderful for me!! Best Regards and hope to get you every time I need to go to Alief Animal Hospital!
Definitely recommend if you need affordable pet care. I've taken my pets here for years and they always get great care and I appreciate it so much. You do need to check in the front desk and wait in your car to be called. I've never waited more than 1.5 hour. Also, the docs are there between 9-5 if I remember correctly. It's not a glamorous office but they will treat your pet with care. Be sure to discuss cost in the room with the vet to make sure you can afford the services or opt out of some services. You do need to pay your bill before you leave.
Don’t take your pets here if you want to get them neutered. I took my cat at 7:08 am for his surgery and I called back at 3:00 pm to see if he was ready and they had not done the surgery yet. The receptionist said “ neutering is the last thing we do” like what? If it’s the last thing they do why did they make me take my cat so early. It’s been 8hrs and my cat hasn’t eaten a thing and god knows if they’ve given him water at LEAST. They said they wouldn’t be done until like 5-6 that’s 11 hours my cat has been locked in a cage without food
Absolutely positive experience. After taking my puppy to 3 other vets/places I ended here with little hope. The other vets wanted to put my puppy to sleep, and seem lost with the situation, one emergency center recommended genital amputation but thankfully DVM Ferdinand Tamas was hopeful and recommended a treatment before considering amputation he was hopeful and honest, explained treatment clearly. The place is old but NOT dirty like others reviews mention. The staff is friendly and kind. Outstanding place that you can trust!
RABBIES QUARANTINE! LOW LOW PRICES!! It’s a good animal clinic. Some of the staff need to be nicer. Personally conmigo estaba muy bien pero vi cómo trataron a otra persona y estuvo mal. Yes, the lady was baiting the worker pero igual; staff needs to be above that kind of behavior. They took care of both my dogs since one was being quarantined and the prices looked very well, I decided to get it done since I was already there. I absolutely loved how helpful the groomer was! He gets his own 5 star review lol
This is a grate place to go to unfortunately i had a very bad experience this time because the main vet did not see my dog it was a female vet and did not explain me any thing all she wanted to do tests and more test when i asked wat was wrong with my dog she said she has to do more tests just to drive the cost higher and higher well after $436 i had to put a stop to it and she got very ipset with me but the teck jose was wonderful he explained me everything so if you go ask for the mail vet.
Excellent service with very professional staff and extremely easy to get appointment, no other animal hospital in houston can even stand like that, no other animal clinic attend the calls or give you super quick appointment with very nominal charges, I rescue cats and dogs and birds and when ever I call they never say come after one month two weeks they are ready to serve as soon as you are ready, thank you everyone there ! Keep up the good work.
I had to put my dog down on Saturday. I have generally had good experience with this place over the last 10.5yrs. However when it came to this past Saturday it was the frustrating experience during such an emotional time. Had to wait for 45mins despite calling ahead of time and then had to deal with a highly insensitive and senile Dr. Marvin Hare. Thanks to the vet tech Jose for taking care of us and Dr. Tomas for his previous care of us.
Boarded my dog for a week. They didn't clean his eyes, he had horrible build up and was milky. When I brought this up to their attention the useless receptionist said "I didn't care for him." Then was going to make me wait hours before they even would see him. Then I took off his cone as he and the cone smelled real bad. Couldn't even clean the cone... I wiped his eyes before I thought of getting a picture. No care for boarded animals...
This place is straight to the point and we love it! The wait time is understandable because of their reasonable and affordable pricing. Despite some folks’ negative reviews about the front desk staff, I’ve always been treated with respect and in a friendly manner, and have received great service for my fur babies. It’s not a fancy place, but they have never tried to oversell services to us - unlike a lot of other vets/hospitals.
This hospital is great, The costs are affordable, the service is good, all the receptionist ladies bring a great service costumer, they speak Spanish as well. And the nurses and doctors are kind with the pets. You don't require an appointment, they attended in order of arrival. - Free parking lot - the waiting place it's small sometimes it's necessary wait outside. (If it's the case someone reach to you when it's your turn).
I've been going here for years. I'm surprised at some of the bad reviews. This is a small operation, so the quarters are a bit cramped. The fees area reasonable and the staff is good. If you want true premium service you can go elsewhere, but I'm sure you'll pay more. To me, the staff is efficient and congenial. I've had several weird (feline) maladies correctly diagnosed and treated here.
We were taken by the vet tech (Jose) and he was beyond fantastic. My pet Benny was obviously very nervous of going to the clinic but Jose did a wonderful job. He was was so patient and explained everything that was going on with Benny with so much detail. Everyone deserves someone as caring, efficient and knowledgeable as Jose. Hands down the best experience ever.
Called ahead to get prescription as a new patient and they said i needed to pay for the visit to get it. I said ok so when I got there I was told it was gonna be a 30 minute wait and eneded up being 2 hours and 30 minutes. Then they tell me the pills have to be order because they don't have any. The worse thing is that now my dog has fleas and he had never had.
We have been taking our dog, Coraje to Alief Animal Hospital for years! They are always wonderful, despite how busy it gets sometimes. Their prices are fair and they really care about your pet. Yes, there can be long wait times, but I'd rather wait for great service than overpay for immediate mediocre service. Highly recommend them! Update, 2023: Still awesome!
No appointments means sometimes you wait for several hours to be seen. Great hours for working people. One of very few vets I have found open past noon on the weekends. Prices are competitive. I have been using them a lot more since Dr Tamas started there. I saw him at Richmond Animal Hospital, then he moved away and I was happy to have him back and way closer.
I took my dog Gucci today to Alief animal hospital because he has a persistent cough and heart problems. Gucci was seen by Jose and we were treated very well. The staff was able to diagnosed and help with treatment options. I feel very confident in their abilities and appreciate their service very much. Thank you Jose for all of your help and compassion!
I went to this animal hospital because my dog 13 years old ( she is like my daughter) feelled some abdominal pain. Jose takes care of us, he is a great guy! He helped me to calm down and was very professional, The diagnosis was really accurate, my dog got some pills and I went home with my baby. The price is very fair. I recommend this hospital!
I was able to get a same day appointment here for a cat neuter whereas everyone else I called had no openings till the next week or months out. Their prices were the best of any place I called. I used them many years ago too for general things for cats with no issues whatsoever. I live far from there, but I didn’t mind making the drive.
Straight to the point and good prices. They don't add several extras that your pet doesn't need, just what they actually need (unlike many..many other vets) I went as a walk in to get my dog treated for a deep cut, and even though I waited for a few hours, I was able to be assisted the same day. Friendly staff, good service
Took some beautiful bonded huskies to be boarded here while we find a foster and rescue to accept them. I had no leashes with me so they came out to the vehicle and got them one by one to ensure they did not get loose. They were EXTREMELY BUSY and still took the time to help and this tells me they care and must be worth the wait.
Affordable pet care and when I was waiting to be helped there were like 5 customers that say they always get their dogs groomed there and have been for years. I have taken my dog there twice for emergencies and both time I was offered very affordable surgery options. I will always be grateful for the care they provide for my dog.
I've been coming to this vet clinic for the past year and I would just like to shout out the veterinary assistant, Jose. He's been very professional and very caring of each one of my dogs. I feel safe to say that I have found a caring professional at this vet and would really recommend him to all of those incoming pet parents.
Rachel Is the most hard working person at alief animal hospital always takes care of all my pets & strays that I've taken to get looked at, she's very informative & will explain everything in detail it's rare to have a tech like her I've seen some techs there that clearly dont care about their job & are rude to client's.
I have taken all my pets to this clinic. The most recent one, was my chiwawa dog who was diagnosed with canine lymphoma. The vet referred to a specialist. I’m very thankful that the clinic was able to help me so much. Unfortunately, my baby lost his battle. The clinic helped me get his ashes back . It was very beautiful.
This place is open 7 days from 7:00am till 9:00pm. it's convenient for everyone. There are a group of vets and technicians and provids a complete vet services like vaccinations, grooming, sickness and surgeries. The cost is affordable compared to most of other places I used before for any pets. I'd recommend this place.
I was referred by my cousin, had to put a stray/ Feral cat down he’s was badly injured. Venezuelan Jose Vet tech was very helpful , kind and theral with the process and explanation with procedures. Reasonable cost. If not mistaken this is a walk-in vet clinic, no appointments , wait time may vary. Thanks. Best wishes.
Took my pet in and a old senior Dr on duty gave me expensive antibiotic meds without even bothering to do any urine tests. I've had antibiotics before and they have never been on the high end. As a veterinarian you shud recommend what is useful and do test if meds are needed not just break the bank of the pet owner.
Inadequate seating, car parking was a little cramped and difficult to park straight … took 4.5 hours to get our dog booked for his rabies quarantine. Had to come back and still waited almost 2 hours more. And when we picked him up they were almost at their closing time. They have only enough seating for 4-7 people.
The prices are unbeatable, however the Dr. not the staff, but Dr. was really rude. I rather pay more and have my dog treated well. When I walked in another client was screaming how the Dr. was rude so I don't know if I got a frustrated Dr. but this is my second visit and both have been a less than pleasant.
I took my dog in after he was injured in a fight with another dog. Even though they were busy, they saw Max immediately and took good care of him. He was taken in for surgery immediately to sew up the wound under his eye and clean the puncture in his leg. He received excellent care and is recovering nicely.
We had to put our family dog down last week and Alief animal hospital took care of us, got us in quickly and explained the whole process to us and let us have as much time with our furry loved one as we needed. We appreciated the reasonable prices and attentive care. Thanks to all the staff!
The staff and Doctor are wonderful and friendly. I went to the hospital because my Lola was throwing up, Jose was amazing with my baby very professionals. The price is fair. This is late post. I would highly recommend this place. Lola is a happy dog thanks to you Jose. …
Brought my cat in today, and the experience was amazing. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The veterinarian was wonderful with us. She took the time to answer all of my questions and explain the medication to us. Great care with affordable prices! Will definitely come back.
We’ve been there twice with our fur baby Chloe, this last time Jose took care of us and it was great. I loved that he took the time to answer all the questions we had. We’ll be back in three weeks for booster shots and we will ask for Jose to care for our baby from now on! Thanks!!!!
This is the worst pet visit I have been to .Is nice to know that they don't hold the owners acountable for being on time , yet they hold everybody else back(the lack organization and cummunication beween the owner and staff it's unbelievable. Please feel free to take a visit or not
My little(75lb) Goldendoodle was in pain due to an ear infection, Dr Jose helped us understand why he is getting the infections, how to prevent, and how to massage the ear canal so that drops and ear washes work properly! Professional help that does care about your Canine sons!
I’ve taken my dogs here since 2020 and I love it. I’ve tried other vet hospitals and I always feel like I was mugged after. As a single mom with an animal living kid I needed something more affordable. I’ve moved away, but still in a pinch will travel to Alief Animal Hospital.
Eliza was a welcoming host for our visit. She is knowledgeable and professional. The technician we had was efficient and kind. The doctor was understanding and caring. The staff does a good job of keeping the office clean and orderly. I like the location and open availability.
The staff always shows me and my dog personalized care and attention. They are very kind and thoughtful, Especially THE FRONT DESK LADY (RACHEL)and really, TRULY seem to love their jobs. I feel very comfortable bringing my dog there, and he LOVES the attention he gets.
Love this place.... Best animal hospital in town. Doctors and all staffs are very kind and helpful. Thank you for treated our pets like yours. Special thanks to Dr. Tamas, Ms. Cathy, Ms. Racheal. Happy holiday to everyone at Alief Animal Hospital ! …
Everyone that I was in contact with was great. From the phone call to in person to rhe services was amazing. Price is very reasonable. 2022** Back again with my Iris baby and again exceptional... . From front of house to the techs and vet... always recommend 2023**
josé has provided excellent service better than the actual vet that just comes in and rites on a paper and leaves without speaking to us jose has helped me understand and acknowledge the situation of my dog health i wouldn’t come back if it weren’t for him
Great pricing!! It is first come first serve so the wait can be quite long. I really like Dr. Tomas. I've know him for several years before he opened his own clinic. He is very patient and good with my dogs. The only issue is the very long wait time.
This vet helped me a lot. I could not find any place with openings for the same day when my dog had a emergency, the staff was very nice with me and me dog felt better the same day. Price is very competitive/economic vs other emergency walk in vet
Kind and attentive staff. The wait times were long only because it was a Sunday and no other vet that I know of takes walk in on a Sunday and gets us out as quick and professionally as they did. All our needs and questions were met to our liking.
I am very happy and satisfied with the doctors veterinarians and the clerical staff. I have been their client since 5 years ago and can not complain at all. Dr F Tamas is awesome and he knows very very well the practice. I am happy to have
I take my dog here for his yearly vaccines/check ups and any other issues my dog may have. The people at the front are okay, not very friendly and straight to the point which doesn’t bother me as much because I know they are very busy. One
First, I want to start off with the receptionist in the front who is hispanic and heavy set. She was very rude and she continuously kept rolling her eyes at me. I have no idea what the reason was, maybe she just doesn’t like working there
I took my dog here and Thomas Hofstetter was absolutely rude, when he came into the room he wasn’t even in there for a minute and he immediately said “yeah this seems like it’s going to be $700” with out any other context and I was trying
Jose was the best veterinarian I have ever been assisted by. He went above and beyond to make sure that our furry child Von was well taken care of & took his time to diagnose him correctly. He took care of Von like that was his own pet &
I'm very satisfied on how Jose does his job,he treats the animals with a lot of care and love.He really explains in detail what's wrong with the dog/cat and has a lot of patience.Next time yall go ask for Jose he's the best!
I love this animal hospital the office staff is nice, they charge fair prices, and the doctor really cares about the animals. I’m moving an hour away but I will continue to bring my pets here. Thank you Dr. Tamas
Great service. The staff shows kindness and compassion for my pet. Jose, the thecnitian, did a wonderful job explaining our cat's condition and how to follow the treatment he was prescribed for the diabetes.
Staff was helpful and informative on my visit today, I can't say the same for the front desk . The 2 ladies up front were ignorant and not the friendliest, they seemed to be bothered to attend customers
Brought my Lola to get her nails and Jose was able to get them done within 5 minutes. Very happy with his service. Jose you are very professional thank you , keep up the good work . …
The only affordable vet and boarding around!! I always receive excellent service. Keep in mind that for vet visits, it is first come first served. You will have a wait, but it is well worth it!!!
I have been bringing our pets here for years, always great service. No frills, they'll recommend what's necessary and their staff truly love animals. Highly recommend for your vet needs.
Get there early to sign in cause it gets busy. However the staff are super friendly and really care about the animals. My dog solo had a tumor removed and the stitches were impeccable
The staff is wonderful .The vet doc was friendly and very informative. You can tell he has lots of experience .The long wait was all worth it. I highly recommend this Animal hospital
Just went there today, my dog came home with it’s skin all irritated, one of her nipples wounded. I will not recommend this place for grooming, they treated my Poor little dog badly.
Love them! They love animals and they are open every day. Their prices are great and their staff is really nice. I have taken my pets here for years and Im happy! Highly recommend.
I have been coming here for a while now and always liked how they work with me. Even though prices are scary sometimes. But today, i loved how thay managed everything. With no buts
I needed to have a dog put down. I arrived with the dog. The staff was very kind and considerate. They treated us with the kindness I needed at that time. I highly recommend them.
I recently went in for my dog’s flea treatment and a nail trim. They were very fast and friendly! Super helpful and we’re able to explain everything that my dog needed. Thank you!
Alief Animal Hospital is not always affordable, but always upfront with costs so you can make an informed decision prior to the services. The front desk is professional and kind.
Great vet. Prices are good attention is good but receptionists NEED TO LEAR MORE FRIENDLY CUSTOMERS SERVICES. Took my son Presley for second shots, and he is a happy happy puppy
Jose is excellent Tech! He explain us the process and how to find the root cause of Bosco allergy, as soon we come back would like to be check by him absolutely. Thank you Jose!
Been Coming Here For Many Years, Love The Fact For Walk Ins. The Only Downfall Is The Wait To See The Doctor But Overall A Good Place To Bring Your Best Furry Friends …
Jose is the best Tech I ever had! He is the reason I come here. I love his bedside manners. I feel my furbaby is well taken care of always! Thank you Jose you are the best!
Always have what i need and always willing to help with prescriptions for my Rex, 5 stars. They are consistently busy but always get around to taking care of the customer.
This place is awesome, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The prices are lowest I've seen. And the doctors are second to none. This place just became my family vet!
Always great with my animals and my bank account. Very friendly staff and the doctors are very nice and loving towards your fur babies. They are now our veta of choice!
These guys did great service for our stray cat. We had a time caging her and they rescheduled for us. They were patient with me and made the whole process super easy.
Great staff. Dr. Tamas is the best! He is great with diagnosis and correct treatment. He saved my dog and I really appreciate everyone’s hard work in this clinic.
