I’m not going to be cruel, because I understand that vet techs and vets do the best they can, and ultimately it’s about the comfort of the pet. The day before yesterday my senior dog had a coughing fit, she already has trachea collapse and my mother, frantic, went to the vet for help. The first recommendation was euthanasia. Considering her age, condition, etc. they recommended that we put Pom down. My mother was on the fence, rightfully so, as well as my father and I when we got up there. My mother said no and decided to take her home. We were given meds that would assist in draining any fluid from the lungs and she was given a steroid shot for her trachea. Pom ended up pulling through the night. We stayed with her, made sure she was comfy, gave her, her meds and we were prepared to be with her through her transition. Today, Nov 26, I thank my mother for having second thoughts because Pom pulled through! She had a coughing spell and it could’ve been triggered by a number of things. My mother felt that the healthcare workers didn’t even give Pom a chance to recover or see how she would be overnight. It was almost an immediate jump to EUTHANASIA!!! She had an appetite, she was tired from the coughing so she did sleep, and she was drinking water—after we left the vet. I’m writing this review to say, DO NOT let them pressure you into euthanasia if you’re honestly thinking of your dog, and you’re NOT being selfish about them being in pain, if you want to wait a few hours or overnight THAT IS FINE (certain things of course require immediate action and I’m not talking about that)! Because had we listened to needle happy and the crew, we’d be burying our family member of 14yrs!!!! So thank you MOM for giving Pom a chance because these lovely hard-working, animal loving ppl would’ve cut the cord QUICK! Pom will be leaving naturally unless she absolutely has to be assisted. As of today she’s doing 100xs better than what she was, and I can’t express how happy we were that we waited. I wish we had the names of the tech and the vet because Pom has been going there for years and my mother has never seen these new needle happy workers, but I’m here to tell you that it’s okay to stop and think for your pet and for you. Edit: she’s been going here for years. We actually love this place, and the prices are reasonable. That’s why I gave it 2 stars. There was an alternative (2 meds she gave us and a shot) other than euthanasia, that’s the issue I have. Don’t push such a big thing onto your clients when there are clear alternatives. Pics: Blue blanket was of her after the vet Nov 24. I took one of her in the grass today Nov 26, around 4pm—-she looks and seems to feel so much better. I can’t express to you how glad I am that we decided to wait it out.
We are regular clients of this clinic for some time so I understand how things are handled at this hospital. However, as of late, there seems to be a shortage of veterinarians on the weekend shifts as the last few visits we have experienced longer waits than usual and the staff continues to change, so maybe better training on how to handle clients is in order as the way things were handled have only gotten worse and often how your paper file is handled can move you out of place, as a result, making your already long wait, even longer... We arrived and checked in as normal procedure, but because there was no seating, we opted to wait in the car, granted we were told there would be a 30-45 minute wait. After an hour goes by, I called to check how many people were ahead and we were told 3. We proceeded to then go inside and wait our turn. Another hour goes by we are finally called into a room. A few minutes later, someone walks in and informs us that our regular vet will not be available for some time as she is the only vet doing the medical work so we opted to go into the lobby instead. At this point we have been waiting for 2.5 hours and every other patient who arrived after us has been seen as we are the only people that are in the lobby. So we decided to leave having waisted almost 3 hrs and no services provided. If I could give a 0 for today’s review, I would. I hope the owner reads this review and improves how she handles her clinic or many people will have the same experience we did and no go back again.
Rather disappointed with the service provided and the high costs for a supposed lower cost clinic. After discussing everything they were to do in detail (tri test, fecal, vaccines/boosters, deworm, advantage, and microchip) I was told $125 plus the cost of Advantage. They let me know she was ready and the bill was $187. I let them know that this was not the price given to me and confirmed prior to them bringing the foster kitten back. They responded by going over the list of services agreed to including the individual price of each item. I told them again, I am aware of what was done, however, prior to you taking her we went over this exact list and the price was $125 plus the cost of the Advantage. (This conversation repeated about 4 times) Finally, they apologized they did not include the cost of the microchip in their initial quote. This is unacceptable. The same treatment is roughly $70 at emancipet. The same exact treatment is around $120 at my personal vet. I came here because they were open. Their failure to make right their mistake and their repeat attempt to cover their mistake was highly unprofessional and I will not return nor recommend. Thankfully, I could cover the additional cost not included in the original price agreed to, but an additional $50 on a bill can be a lot for many and they didn’t seem to comprehend this as a much bigger mistake.
Customer service and the level of care my for pets is steadily declining. I’ve been to GGAH 3 times in the past few months and each time it’s been the same. There are a few great employees here, but there are also many that need some more professional development and training. A few consistent things I’ve experienced within the past few months are: -Rude front desk reps: not welcoming guests, impatient with answering questions. -Doctors not being thorough with treatment. -The level of care, diagnosis and attention to my pet’s concerns is not at the same quality level in the past. -In the past, you would always leave with snack bags and other sample items for your pets as a thank you your business, now it’s just pay and get out. I don’t know if there’s a new manager here or what, but something has drastically changed and I’m very disappointed. For an animal hospital to provide services that are affordable and accessible to people in the community that normally wouldn’t be able to take their dog to the veterinarian is something that really resonates with me, but now I’m concerned that many people are just being seen as dollar sign. I wonder if others are seeing the same thing? I’m giving 2 stars just to give credit for the few employees that are doing what’s right by people and pets.
My experience at this place was awkward. I took my cat because she wasn’t eating and seemed weak. When I took her in, the main question that I was asked was, what is your budget today? When I was asked this question I knew they were all about the money. If you in sales, you know what I mean. I told them that I could spend $500 cash. I wanted to save my cat so I took the risk. So they took her in, first they told me it would be $100 for basic blood work. After 20 minutes they told me they need additional blood work. 45 minutes they give out her diagnosis and what treatment is required. Total was $450 they asked me to pay now and for observation reasons I would pick her up at 1:00 pm. This is the most weird part, exactly at 12:45 pm, 15 minutes before pickup and I had already paid, they call me saying my cat had died. If I wanted to pick her up, they could cremate or put her in a box for burial. At this moment I knew I just got ripped off. They where not transparent with the diagnosis and only wanted their money. $500 is half my rent and this clinic just took advantage of my pet love. Don’t bring your pets here, a client mentioned she had a similar experience except they wanted to kill her dog. Instead she took her dog home and took care of him and it fully recovered.
They are thieves, they are charging for things that are invented and prices change several times during the service even if an additional logo is not requested, it is the second time they do something like this, they do not give the correct information over the phone and it is their fault or the client. , They gave me a price over the phone, when I arrived they gave me another price and at the end of the afternoon when I came to pick up my cat they gave me another price!!!! the price changes were not even due to any changes in the procedures or products, everything was the same in the estimate. This time it's the same, they give me a price over the phone, they give me another price when I get here and apart from all that they are charging me much more for the surgery on my male gayo, and they are saying that the blood test was not included that I I confused when asking!!! oh really!!! If I have written all the information I asked for by phone, they are complete thieves. My friend brought her female cat to surgery and they charged her much less, so my question is: do they charge here, it depends if I come well, do you fix it? So if I don't arrive in flip flops and dirty, they're going to charge me more just because I come well dressed
This review is specifically for the front office staff. I found the staff to be callous, heartless and plain rude. I brought my Pup in for vaccines, she ended up having a very severe reaction to the Bordetella vaccine. I called a few times asking if the symptoms she was experiencing were normal. Fastforward, I decide to bring her back in, when I called to inform them that we were down the street (their hours are from 8AM - 6PM) it was 4:57, I quickly explained what was happening, she said, "if you're not here checked in by 5:00PM we can not take you. My computer locks". My husband stepped on it, and we walked in right at 5:00PM, but the front staff had the biggest attitude, I get that they wanted to leave, but we are in tears, with my pup literally dying. Have some freaking empathy. Once we made it to the back, the doctor did do a number of things, great bed side manners for us. Later that evening, we ended up taking her to an ER, the front staff completely night and day from this experience. Understand this, you are the first point of contact and can make or break an experience!! If you hate your job, get another JOB there are plenty out there!!!!
They are thieves, it is the second time I have come for surgery on a cat, the first was female, They gave me a price over the phone, when I arrived they gave me another price and at the end of the afternoon when I came to pick up my cat they gave me another price!!!! the price changes were not even due to any changes in the procedures or products, everything was the same in the estimate. This time it's the same, they give me a price over the phone, they give me another price when I get here and apart from all that they are charging me much more for the surgery on my male gayo, and they are saying that the blood test was not included that I I confused when asking!!! oh really!!! My dog wasn’t doing well we took her to an animal emergency room in league city. It was recommended that emergency surgery was needed. They quoted an outrageous amount for her surgery. It just wasn’t in our budget. The vet made us feel guilty for not having the surgery and made us feel we didn’t care for our dog. Said well if you don’t have the surgery now she can die. Made us sign a paper and basically said you don’t care for you dog and Your dog will die! Horrible horrible vet Thank goodness we were recommended to visit gulf Gate animal hospital. I was told to come in early which I did. We were also told the surgery would be way way cheaper which it was. The staff was nice incredibly. The vet was so understanding and explained in depth what was needed. Yes my fur baby needed surgery, yes it was serious. But it wasn’t as bad as the er vet claimed. But no way did they make me feel awful. They took us in right away and performed the surgery right away. I highly recommend Gulf Gate animal hospital! They were absolutely amazing!
We've been taking our dog to this clinic for 10 years. For the most part we've been satisfied with the care he's received. SOME of the girls who work at the counter is an entirely different story. I've encountered rudeness one too many times. They've just lost our business. Also, too often you can't get thru. They either don't answer the phones or they put you on hold after you ask them not to and you get disconnected. They said they have phone problems. If that's the case they've been having phone problems for years. They REALLY need to evaluate their staff and seriously replace some of them. The front desk anyway. Everyone who works in the back of the clinic we've never had a problem with. So because of the rudeness of one of their front desk girls and I stated the truth about that girl, the clinic refuses to see my dog again and he's very sick. SUCH CLASS THAT CLINIC HAS. NOT!!!!!!!
Gulfgate use to be our go to clinic. Today was the final straw. They refused to cut my dogs nails because he growled. I get it but we gave him meds that THEY prescribed to sedate and muzzled him. They still refused even though he was no longer growling. Several other smaller things have happened since with my rescues but today we saw a dog tied to a pole near the street but on their property with a heavy chain. He had no water, in the sun and looked dirty. When my sister told them he/she was there and asked if they knew who he belonged to, to our surprise they said he belonged to the OWNER of the clinic! This is completely irresponsible and unacceptable and if they will allow that for their own dog I cannot trust them with mine. Use at your own risk but I will never go back!!!!!
We’ve been taking our all of our pets (2 dogs and 1 cat) to Gulfgate for the past 3+ years. They have always handled our pets with love, care, and professionalism. I have NOT met one single bad employee or Doctor in any of my visits. Their prices are unbeatable. Cheapest in any area I’ve lived in. Every Doctor is very knowledgeable and loving to our pets. We’re long due of giving them a review. We still feel like they deserve a 5 star review. Our dog got cancer and Gulfgate was able to operate on her. She’s currently in her healing stages, but is getting better already. Thank you, Gulfgate Animal Hospital staff and Doctors. We continue to go there because you all continue to offer stellar and one of a kind service to our most loved fur-babies.
Came here because the vet I normally go to is closed on Saturdays, so this is the only place I come to for relatively inexpensive visits. They’re friendly and have a great staff, but be cautious of what exams they do to your pet. I came in for one specific issue with my dog, and they end up doing other exams without your consent; which causes you to have to end up paying more. They need to be more transparent and vocal with the customers as far as what they will be doing to your pet during our visit. Give the client the option on what exams we’d like to opt out of. Don’t just assume we want the exam, not knowing we already did the same exam elsewhere. Then forced to pay for it because it was already done. Friendly staff for the most part.
Very glad we checked this place out. Our pup was sick with some mysterious illness, and our regular vet was closed, so we came here about an hour before they closed, hoping they could take us. The staff was very friendly and the vet saw us promptly. Dr. Sloan was very thorough in checking my dog for all possible issues, and was very transparent about what each procedure would cost. I never felt pressured to do additional tests, etc., and everything was explained to me clearly. Pricing was affordable and they called a few days later to check on my pet. We’ll definitely be making this our regular vet. Avoid showing up on Saturdays, or less than 30 min before close—it gets very packed.
I have been taking my dogs here over 20 years. With Covid-19 it is a little different and there are a few steps, but still worthy. It's not a long process, veterinarian is knowledgeable and staff is friendly. May 2, 2023 brought my dog for his annual check up and there wasn't a long wait. A few new staff members but as usual very friendly. Clean inside and a great atmosphere to see/listen to the other dogs bark!! September 29, 2023 I came in for a nail trim and his heartworm medicine (Trifexis). Well I also was charged a technician fee because a technician was needed to trim his nails I'm not sure for anyone else but this bill (over $60) is pricey for me.
I have three elderly dogs and recently brought them to be treated. My dog Beto had diarrhea and they fixed it right up. Later when my 16 year old dog Zoe began to decline, I brought her in. After an exam we were told that she was experiencing heart failure. Unfortunately, that day we had to make the decision to euthanize her. The staff was so kind and considerate and were very helpful through the process of making the decision until the end. They gave us time to grieve and were very respectful. I could tell that they really felt sympathy for our pup during her final moments. I am forever appreciative of their kindness and I am sure that Zoe was as well.
Could not go into checkup room with my cat. I understand for surgeries but for a minor issue really made no sense. No way of telling how they treat your pet. Then they gave me a long list of possible causes that had been previously taken care of even though she looked fine to them and I provided her history. Will not be coming back here again. Must check in, in person, then wait in the car, then they call you to drop off your pet and wait in the car, then they call you to pick up, but you still have to wait in line. Prepare before coming if you are but I recommend going elsewhere. 33 for exam and around 30+ per each additional thing.
Horrible experience waited a 1½they told us 20 minutes staff was rude not knowledgeable or explain any after care .dog has a fracture what we thought got several x Ray's and they could not tell us if it was fractured. Offered an additional charge to receive a second opinion. My dog was in pain so I carried her in gave them my dog and they had my dog hopping back putting pressure on her leg .forget that place dont have a bad experience like I did if you go there you will regret it. 275 dollars later 2 ½ they are just stealing money from hard work people that just want care for there animals.....Bad Choice going to these fruit loops.
I decided to go back to this veterinarian and this time got a little better understanding pertaining to the health of my dog. I made an attempt to teach the counter help in distinguishing between what is a genuine disturber of the peace and that of a crazy customer like myself. For example, a disturber of the peace will break out windows, loot, point guns at the help when robbing them of money, shoplift, overturn and set vehicles on fire out in the parking lot! They might even shoot at and kill the responding police!! In contrast, I am just a typical crazy customer the boss looking and inquiring about the quality of a product.
Paid over 600 so they could keep telling me my dog was constipated. If I would have listened to them,my dog would have passed. Their communication skills are extremely low, they don't read all the test results, and if your dog keeps bleeding, they're like ThAts NorMal. Go to Long Drive Dog and Cat Hospital instead, they actually care. They didn't even run tests and realized something was extremely wrong with my dog, he wasn't clotting and Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists took it from there, someone had given my dog rat poison. Picture is from him in the ICU because Gulfgate kept telling me he looked stable and fine.
I took my dog Saturday to get his flea medication the lady that I kindly asked to weight my dog to see if he needed a new dose of his flea and heartworm prevention pill she said she did not needed to weight my dog and that it was unnecessary. She then weight my dog after I insisted but with a bad attitude. After I paid for my dogs pill she tossed it at the table I had to ask for my receipt. I had never had no trouble until Saturday I take my dog to this Vet so he can get the best care not for someone to refuse and to tell me not to weight my dog.
I drive from the other side of town to ensure that my loved one gets the greatest care possible. Always a great and satisfying, cool, calm and relaxing experience despite the reason for our visit when my anxiety is up. I love the environment and staff. Both are great. Staff is kind, patient, helpful, well experienced and knowledgeable. Prices are affordable. My last visit had a VERY long wait time but was understood with it being a Saturday, which was pretty busy and there's no option to set an app only walk-in. Clinic highly recommended.
Prepare to be on hold for 10 minutes, right after they answer, and the split second-please hold while I look up your account—without getting any information from you to search for the account! When you address it, you get a weak apology. I like that they are trying to provide services to an underserved community, but this has been going on for years. My suggestion for improvement-try to get some interns dedicated to communications. Not everyone in the surrounding community can get on the website and search for answers.
The vets are very good and caring and their office visit is very reasonable. They used to have low cost services as well but they have raised their prices. I take both dogs for their annual visits and upon going to pay they have sign next to checkout counter—not at check in counter that Carecredit can only be used for emergency services. My previous vet allowed me to use for ever visit so imagine my surprise having a $650 bill I had to pay for instead of CareCredit allowing me to pay out interest free for the year.
I love this place! I took my Bambino (chihuahua) there and they did blood work and found nothing wrong with his organs or anything in his body but he was having really bad seizures everyday. Dr.Palmer prescribed medicine for his seizure and so far it’s been 3 weeks and the seizures have stopped completely. My dog was literally dying and the medicine worked and now my boy is back to normal very happy very alert even at 13 years old. I highly recommend this clinic for a caring staff and it’s very affordable as well.
If i could give this place a 0 stars i would! I took my puppy because she had parvo, she came in a good condition where if they gave her the right treatment she would’ve lived! They had her on a IV and were giving her treatment but they didn’t make her eat which made none of the treatment work! No matter if the puppy wanted to eat or not I am paying you to do anything posible for my dog to live and you guys did none of that! You guys as “professionals” should know what you’re doing for the price you guys charged.
I've been to this store a few times, they pretty good customer service, they try there best to prep the pizza the way you ask them, sometimes they're so busy that pizza comes out a little in awkward but that's understandable, I had a sister working for the store on Broadway, St. between IH 225, & Old Galveston,Rd. But I've noticed a little difference in the taste, I don't know why because it's all the same ingredients? Oh well I enjoyed it anyhow, very reasonable & quick!!!
Their doctors and staff are really good with my pets and the services are affordable and well within my budget. Nice to know i can take care of my pets without it costing me an arm and a leg! The only thing that i would say is that Fridays and Saturdays tend to be the busiest so the wait can be long of you don't go first thing in the morning. But I will say the service is quick once you get back to be seen so the wait in my mind is well worth the service provided.
We've brought many of our pets here over the past 10 years. The front desk service is usually very good: we like the friendly staff and quick check in and checkout. All the vets we've see here have been friendly, have good pet handling skills and give great advice and treatment to help with many pet issues. Also their prices are fair compared to what we've encountered elsewhere. And most of all the pets usually look happy coming out of here. So that's something
I usually go without making an appointment, and I've never had to wait longer than 15 minutes. It is a different doctor each time, but that doesn't bother me. The doctors seem to be fresh out of college, because they have new and innovative ideas. The nurses and office staff are always friendly and helpful. They intentionally saw all other patients before me when I had to put my dog to sleep, because I was so visibly upset. I really appreciated this.
Saved my girl, Sadie. I would say they are on the affordable side of standard pricing. Not crazy cheap, but not outrageous. The pre-op deposit was not awful either. Kind hearted staff and very clean. My only complaint is their phone system. Often when you call, you just get a busy signal, because there's no call waiting or hold system for incoming calls. It's a little frustrating for a worried pet owner, but overall it was a positive experience.
It was as usual very helpfull i call a different place to. Do a x quarantine for my dog he bit so.eone not bad but he did the clinical and prices are afordable. I take my dogs here also my cat got surgery here and thank god hes been good after definitely they. Do better in prices them mos doctors here i houston i was referred by mercy pet clinic tbey had to close after pandemic but they told me it was a low cost. And yes its a good place
I went here for the first time a couple of weeks ago and had a wonderful experience. The staff is very sweet, and they genuinely give off this vibe that they truly care. Which is what you certainly want with a vet. I did a senior panel for my dog to make sure she was doing well, and Dr. Palmer called me to go over everything with me. She was amazing. Highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for a vet!
Staff was very friendly and helpful. I disliked not being able to be in the exam room due to Covid restrictions, but understood the precaution. It helped that the vet came outside to talk about the exam and make a plan for treatment. The wait time was reasonable. I was also pleasantly surprised at the charges being much lower than expected. All in all, I would gladly take any of my furry crew to this vet again!
I went on a Thursday at 10am. They do ask that customers wear a mask. I checked in at front desk. Then waited for a call while I sat in my truck. I waited 10 minutes then they called us to come in. I met with veterinarian in lobby to discuss issue. She took my cat for treatment while I waited in my truck. Twenty minutes later I was called to pick up cat and pay. The entire staff was pleasant and knowledgeable.
Have been a client at Gulfgate Animal Hospital for 10+ years. Prices are average compared to other animal clinics. Wait time can be long, but that’s understandable as they were originally only walk-in, but in the recent years, they’ve incorporated appointments. It’s been a pleasure having my pets treated by them, especially with Dr. Palmer who is outstanding with her knowledge, client education and service.
I love this facility!!!!!! The people are absolutely wonderful and care about our furry babies. Each one is treated as if it were their own. Their waiting room speaks for itself. I Have never had a bad experience only bad diagnosis meaning I didn't like what they found out and had to be down. Feline leukemia is bad and can't be fixed only treat symptoms. Would recommend them in a New York minute!
I went to pick up Trifexis for my dog and a new hire was having technical difficulty. So another girl, Arianna, came to help her but had a nasty attitude and was unprofessional at training. She rolled her eyes and was rude towards her right in front of us! If that's how she treats new people, I can't imagine how bad she might be with clients beloved pets. It just made our visit unpleasant.
Great customer service yesterday over the phone answered all my questions & doubts!!! Took my puppy this morning & the service was even better in person!! Fast walk-in service on a Thursday, affordable pricing, got quoted a significant amount less than another place I thought about going. Very happy I ended up going here. Will be my to-go place for all my new puppy needs. THANKS.
The staff and vets are friendly, helpful and very well educated. Their is a sincere love for animals and care about clients. An office that feels more like a family taking care of your pets. Very good prices and they won't just jump you with costs. They'll explain everything in detail before ever moving forward. Many of my friends go here because the reputation is so well known.
You're supposed to check in once there and wait up to 2 hours in your car until they call you to come inside. There was only one person at the desk and she didn't address the customers coming inside. People were left staring at each other not knowing where to stand or go. Then they rude on the phone. My first experience with them. Didn't like them. Best of luck to any that do.
Do not come here unless you are ready to get yelled at. One of the front staff members yelled at my and demanded money before treatment. The tech made a big scene about money. My mom had left home in a rush because her dog became very ill overnight. She had money to pay for treatment but was in a panic bc the dog was ill. You Shouldn't treat older people like garbage.
We call them for help out on my frnds dog that are homeless had ear infection n they could do it for free no charge n when we got there n told us that there would be charge for seeing the dog. We were very upset that they lied to us over the pH to get our bus. N drive 20 miles to see them n lied to us. U don't do that to dieing need of help for dog. Bad service !!!!!
This place is run by the kindest, most patient staff. It’s a no frills office that puts priority on helping as many patients as possible every day. I’ve never had a bad experience and have been going here for about 3 years. Is it fancy? No. But do they take great care of my pets? Yes. I love that they take walk-in appointments and the wait is never too long.
I have been bringing my furry children here for nearly 8 years. The staff is always super friendly and extremely helpful. I have never been in the waiting area for longer than 10 minutes. The vet techs and vets are amazing with our babies, and you can tell that they truly care about their patients. 100% recommend them to everyone with furry children! :)
My boyfriend took our dog to Gulfgate, I made the appointment based on the reviews. And it was great! My boyfriend said they were super nice and made our dog feel comfortable. I also texted them a few weeks later because my dog caught fleas, and they responded quickly and told me recommendations on to clean our house and bedding without an appointment!
Took my dog here, and they had him feeling better in no time. They were able to get him in to see a doctor very quickly, thankfully. The office was clean and well-kept. The staff and doctor were very friendly and provided great customer care. They even called a couple of times to check up on how he was progressing and to explain the lab report.
The front office staff are always friendly, efficient and courteous. My experiences with the veterinary staff have been routinely excellent. No appointments are made however wait times are minimal - and prices are very reasonable. I have recommended this clinic to several friends and have received the same favorable comments from them.
Do not take your pet here, all they care about is your money. Took my chihuahua here after being attacked by another dog, they asked me to swipe my card before anything, I did, they only bandaged her up and gave her back to me, when I got home she died in my son arms. One of her lungs was perforated and they did not even told me.
My cats go to this hospital. Service has always been prompt and professional. Price has been affordable. I had an emergency with one of my cats recently and they did an excellent job of dealing with my concerns, while getting the cat the care it needed to heal, and pain management. Can't thank them enough for the work they do.
Customers service is nice, but they put the wrong birthday on 2 of my pets, I will address that when I go back because I remember repeating myself with their age and it was still wrong. I like how they have the sign in process though, I mean we all wish to be with our pets in the exam room, but we have to blame covid for that.
I am totally satisfied with everyone from the check in to check out process. The doctor and technician were fabulous also from the way they explained what they were doing to what we should expect. There were no surprises in the prices either. We were in and out in less than 2 hours without an appointment in a weekend.
Doctors here are amazing. Veterinarian Techs are amazing. Doctors are upfront yet sensitive. Probably best if you call and make an appointment, walk-ins, expect to wait but they try to be as accommodating as possible. And in my experiences the wait isn't too long. Last but not least, their prices are very reasonable.
I love Dr. Palmer. She's amazing. Always helpful. Always takes the extra time to answer any questions to make sure her patients are comfortable with whatever decisions they have to make, no matter how small. The office staff is equally as wonderful, with great customer service. I really like this place.
Amazing Staff. Very accommodating to clients. I have brought my animals to gulfgate for over 10 years now. Every visit has been welcoming and staff members have been consistently kind and helpful. Thank you Dr Palmer and your Radical staff. Like to Especially thank Zuly! Very thorough and consistent.
I’ve been coming here for many years and the staff is very sweet, and they genuinely give off this vibe that they truly care. Dr. Palmer has done surgeries on one of my fur baby and delivered two of my cuties she did an amazing job . Highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for a vet!
So kind & patient with us. They always give my dog great care, and they even care for stray animals in the community that are injured/sick. They charge very fair prices and don’t exploit your love for your pet in order to overcharge you like so many other veterinary hospitals. Highly recommend!!
Could use more maintenance to control the high smell of dogs. Aside from that, there's enough parking space, the cljnic is wide abd spacious and the staff is very friendly. Also, the prices are very reasonable and I find this place to be less expensive than others. They all do a great job.
Took my puppy here after he got really sick and we were almost certain that we were losing him. He was not eating, not moving, had bloody diarrhea and vomiting. After 3 days inpatient, our pup was looking like his ole happyself! They worked wonders! Thank you for saving our fur baby Koko!
This is a nice animal hospital with qualified veterinary doctors. Took my little dog for ear hematoma and doctor was really great and provided us with right medication and advice. We are now taking our dog there since then. Very reasonable price and comprehensive treatment plan
I used this clinic for the medical attention for my cats. The veterinarians are fast and efficient in their diagnostic, and the prices are reasonable. I recomend to make an appointment before going , in this way you will not spend much time waiting to see a vet.
Took my dog in for an emergency c section. They took great care of her and the puppies. They made sure I was well informed of the aftercare and called back to check on her recovery progress. They care about the animals they look after and was reasonably priced.
We were told it was a good place and not to expensive but we found other places for our dog surgery for 600 but this place was charging 1200$ and the dr was fudging us telling us why bread the dogs. When we don’t never do but she keep on going about it
Thank you for always taking care of our Sophie. You guys were kind and always made us feel welcome when we walked in. When my partner and I decide to get another puppy, you will be our hospital of choice. I highly recommend Gulfgate Animal Hospital!
We took our baby as a walk-in Saturday morning after a long night of him vomiting. The service was exceptional from checkin to payout. I definitely would recommend to anyone I know. So grateful for such a compassionate and trustworthy staff.
My puppy had an ear infection in both ears. The staff was wonderful. They were very patient with my frightened puppy. They showed me how to care for his ears to prevent ear infections and administered the medication into his ears (2 doses).
they told me it wouldn't be a long wait and it was almost 2 hours. then I brought my pet inside and they were done in less than 5 minutes which I thought was weird then I came inside and the vet never talked to me just the fairly rude girl
Good experience. Brought my 6 week old Frenchie for 1st shots and everything went great! The Veterinarian was kind and gentle with my new puppy. She also took a little time to explain things and some expectations. Will definitely return
I love my furbaby's vets and staff, especially Erica. She has known "my Austin" since he was a puppy and he is 9 years old!!! Keep up the great work everyone...peace and blessings. St. Francis of Assisi pray for us and protect our pets!
I came in from out of town and I brought my dads cat here for a vaccine update, preventative blood work, and annual checkup. The person who asked me questions about my cat and what I wanted didn’t seem confident in what she was talking
My family and I’ve been bringing my pets here for a little over 20 years. Apologies in advance for the essay, but I think a long review justifies since I’ve been a loyal customer. I normally see Dr. Palmer who every time I go is always
Been going here for years. brought my second cat in the other day they were nice to her and called her by her name, I liked that. My experience was very quick, I was in and out. My baby is better now thank you. I recommend this place.
This place is great! Professional staff, wonderful doctors. I brought my dog in and got him diagnosed in 2 hrs, blood, xrays, meds and out the door we went. Will definitely come back if I need to bring my dog again. Priced reasonably
The front staff at this place are so rude and plain horrible. Such a shame because the doctors are good. Maybe replace those girls at the front with professional people who can speak properly until then I won’t be coming back here.
I’ve been taking my Great Dane, Callie, here for a couple of years and it’s always a good experience! Edit: I did have some trouble with the front desk girls being rude. I’m just a worried dog owner who cares and wants answers
Took a stray who has a very bad case of manage. They treated him. He's doing a lot better. I'm still giving his treatments. I love the vet's there. I always take my babies here. So far my experience here has been a nice one.
I have been using this vet for over 7 years for my dogs and they are extremely kind affordable. My family loves Dr. Palmer and she is very compassionate towards our dogs! We need more like her and the great staff she has!
Had a wonderful experience, I was so scared that my cat had leukemia and that they weren’t going to take care of him the right way but Luciana made this whole appointment as calming as it can be. 10/10 recommend.
I give three stars for the attentive and well mannered front staff and vets. I knocked out two stars due to vet tech Arianna’s nasty attitude, she interrupted me several times, cut me off and talked down to me.
I’ve been coming here for 20+ years, first with my parent’s pets and now as an adult with my family pets. I’ll never visit them again. I’ll pay more somewhere else to avoid their poor customer service.
I had to have my dog, Chico, euthanized. The staff here was excellent. They were sensitive and caring and just went above and beyond to help make this event as easy as possible. Thanks so much!
I have been taking my pets to this Vet. hospital for a long time. Compassionate, open , honest and professional. Will examine your pet, then give you an estimate prior to any services provided.
Each time I've taken my pups I've had excellent experiences. Staff is helpful, empathetic, and fast. I appreciate them being open on Saturdays. I've also had vets follow up via a phone call.
I have been bringing my fur babies here for years and have had no problems. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Not to mention knowledgeable. Prices are very reasonable. Great place!
Took my Pomeranian in for emergency care after he was bitten by another dog he was quickly and proficiently attended to. Unfortunately the follow-up a few days later took a bit longer
Dr. Palmer is the best. I drive by several other vets to go her. I had to have a pet put to sleep and they were very compassionate and considerate. I can't recommend them any higher.
Last week Thursday I took my sweet Marley to no return it broke my heart so much but thankful for 15 years the staff was so nice Juan and vet were amazing. I definitely recommend
My baby didn't suffer, they treated him quickly and efficiently. Definitely coming back! I've been coming here for 3 years. They do a fantastic job!
These three babies mean the world to me and I'm glad our family uses Gulfgate Animal hospital. always smiles. always decent prices. always helpful.
These people charged me for services I didn't request. My cat was just pregnant. Just to tell me that, they charged me $200.00. rip me off.
Very professional staff, affordable as well. My dog had a chronic issue for years until I brought him here. Can’t recommend them enough.
They have great veterinarians who are always willing to work with you. I’ve been taking my pets there for years. Highly recommended.
I Took My Boy Lucky to them today because he had been real sick had to be euthanized they were professional but they lack empathy
best animal hospital I have been to. the doctor is so caring and sweet to the pets. I drive from katy when my pets need care
Very friendly staff! Very organized and budget friendly. We took our new puppy in and we had all our questions answered.
Dr.Gail is an angel from Vet heaven. I think my Meatball loves her more than he loves me. Dr.Gail is welcoming and
Staff if great, very friendly and great with my fur baby.*Peaches*wait time was very short. I love this place
The staff was amazing they took good care of my girl, made her comfortable, and I was able to do a walk in.
They are awesome! Very nice people work here. They took care of my furry babies and made them all better!
