"SO excited to have this new location of the famous Amelia’s Bakery in our neighborhood! The decor is adorable, and they have a large outdoor patio for sipping coffee with good company"
Nice place. Great baked goods. I was asked to put a mask on this morning while there. I’m fine with that request . I can decide to wear the mask or leave. My comment is that people were sitting at the bar in the middle, right next to me, not eating or drinking (websurfing) and not required to wear a mask. In a place this small, mask mandate should be for everyone not eating. If sitting means you don’t have to mask, They clearly don’t understand anything about they virus and just ask for the mask for political reasons. To be fair, a lot of restaurants have had similar nonsensical policies during pandemic times. No science shows the virus doesn’t spread while sitting down. So actually police it, or don’t. :)
Never heard of Amelia's but decided to stop by on my way through the neighborhood for a sweet bite. I ended up getting a brownie, a cup of gelato, and an ice chai. The interior is bright and welcoming, and the staff were extremely personable and easy to talk to. The brownie, unfortunately, was very bland and flavorless to me, and all I could taste was the salt on it. The gelato was alright, though I've likely been spoiled by big-city gelato parlors. The chai was pretty good! I ended up sitting outside, which was quite peaceful. It's nested in a really nice little neighborhood. Maybe I just got the wrong menu items, but I doubt I'll be back.
This is a nice place! Service was friendly, its so airy and cute inside and quaint seating outside front and back. I would definitely feel comfortable coming alone. Wasn't a fan of the cold brew but I'm always picky so I wont hold that against them because the cookie was out of this world. Was debating on the brownie or blondie... Im glad I picked blondie, perfect chewy crispy salty sweet.. oh I miss it already. I will get bread next time because they looked amazing and a lot of people were buying it. Will come again, Im glad a couple friends and I stopped in. Indianapolis is improving and needs MORE places like this.
I visted this place yesterday for the first time. The interior and exterior were both very nice looking. A nice place to chat over a cup of coffee. I tried their chocolate buckwheat cookie and cocoa brownie. They were both delicious. I also ordered a spiced chai w/ vanilla. That I didn't like too much. Too much milk. One thing for sure, is that their bread caught my eye. It was the most beautiful looking bread I'd ever seen. I wanted nothing more than to eat a slice with a small spread of butter. That or sleep on it, since some of them looked like soft pillows lol. I plan to get some next time I go.
SO excited to have this new location of the famous Amelia’s Bakery in our neighborhood! The decor is adorable, and they have a large outdoor patio for sipping coffee with good company. Indoor seating is minimal but they do have a small area for a few patrons. They have a decent selection of their delicious baked goods, such as their desserts and their sour dough loaves! They have a designated parking lot, located right between their location and Kan Kan which is right next door. They have a few coffee drinks, which I am hoping they expand on.
Ack, maybe I've been spoiled, working for two incredible French bakeries in the past, but I'm not terribly impressed with their laminated dough items. I was also dismayed to find that they didn't have any Italian pastries (which I was really excited to get as they sell Italian bread). Just one more negative- it's a beautiful day for a patio but the music is blasting on the outdoor speakers. Some folks may enjoy this! Maybe even you! But if not, take note. It's a nice, clean space with friendly people working, though. Coffee was great.
This place is amazing! Not only do they have amazing pastries and coffee, they are SO incredibly kind! We love that they are in the nearest side in an area that has been desperate for a place like this. So glad we discovered it! We highly recommend it! It’s right by Pogues Run Park so you can easily stop here For pastries and coffee then go on a walk or stop by the Spades Park library adjacent to it all. Thank you for being a part of this community!
Amelia's have become one of our regular places to get a good cup of coffee and some bakery items and bread for the week. Lovely Inclusive place that's worth the drive from Fishers. Sometimes we first stop by sidedoor Bagels for a breakfast sandwich and end up at Amelia's a little later. Made about 6 trips since finding them on June 10th. We love the breads and Tinker coffee, Sunday is cranberry walnut but check their site for the bread of the day.
We pick up bread here every week! The jalepeno cornbread loaf is soooo good. We love the staff. The coffee is amazing. I love having a bakery so close and in such a nice location. Lifetime customer here!

Great patio and shop! Took home a cookie and some sourdough bread, and they were both amazing. Our sandwiches will be waaay better this week! They also had biscuits when went. My partner and I are from the south, and we are PICKY about biscuits. These were absolutely delicious, and were the best biscuits we've found anywhere around. Wishing Amelia's all the best with their new location!
Lord have mercy this place is good. They’ve got these bacon cheddar biscuits there, I’ll admit it, I ate two of them in one sitting. That good. Decided to step out of my comfort zone of just coffee and order a “latte.” I came back ten minutes later, I’ll admit it, got a second one. That good. Staff was friendly and supportive. Going back soon. Might even get three biscuits.
After a movie at Kan-Kan, my husband and I dropped in Amelia's for a cookie. He loves chocolate chip cookies, so we grabbed one to go. The establishment is very cute, is brightly lit, and has a modern farmhouse feel. We were greeted upon entering and exiting. The cookie was great and I look forward to returning, trying more goodies, and sitting on the patio.
So glad to see more businesses opening up on this side of town. Staff was very helpful and friendly. And the rye sourdough, y’all! Interiors were bright and cheery, with lots of seating outside and ample parking. We’re just a few minutes down the road and I will probably be spending too much money here, but I’m glad to put my dollars into Eastside business.
Visited on Saturday noon, had chocolate croissant, pecan cookies, and a latte; croissant dough tasted very good, thought the filling was minimal; the cookies is wonderful and highly recommended; and the latte was good. Definitely will visit again to taste other varieties; especially the sandwiches which weren’t available when I stopped by today :/.
I love this place, we visit a couple of times per week. There’s always something new to try. Highly recommend the chocolate buckwheat cookies and the mango ribbon pastry. The sandwiches are so yummy that they sell out early, you need to beat the commuter rush. We appreciate that the staff are always welcoming and friendly, especially with kids!
Recently moved to this side of town and found this cafe. Super cute with a nice charm to it, comfortable sitting inside/outside, delicious drinks & friendly service. Look forward trying the sandwiches, (when available) 1st come, 1st serve & the gelato. Provides parking and easily accessible to walk too. A new favorite place to study!
Like anything that’s high quality and fresh made, you need to get to Amelia’s early if you have your eye on something specific. Once you get that down though, Amelia’s is excellent. Everything I have had here is super tasty, and the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful (especially if you have questions about their products).
I love this place! Great patio seating and the baked goods are delicious. I had the chocolate croissant and bought some garlic aioli, pesto, cardamom, and half a loaf of their daily special bread. The bread has lots of garlic and pepper for a nice zing, I can’t wait to make a grilled cheese with it like the cashier suggested!
Love Amelia's! I only come here to buy bread, but they serve several other items as well. Hot tip: Amelia's bread makes INCREDIBLE grilled cheese sandwiches. My wife and I will buy a lil fancy cheese and a loaf of sourdough or other and its basically the best grilled cheese you'll ever have. They have great cookies too!
The coffee was really enjoyable, the patio is such a nice place to hang out, and that's not even mentioning that they (of course) have the best bread in town. It's fun that this place also has a unique identity, more coffee shop than the specialty market vibe of the original location. Excited to come back many times
Cute spot with decent coffee options to go along with your breads and pastries. And a nice array of International/gourmet/specialty grocery items. Lots of options. And the baked items change fairly often to showcase seasonal produce. But, the pastries usually sell out before noon. So, you have to get there early.
I love this place! It's great to stop by for one of their sandwiches or to grab a pastry and a latte. And definitely make sure to take a loaf of bread home, too! It's also a nice spot for a coffee date with a friend or to get some work done. Their outdoor seating is lovely in the early spring and fall.
I grabbed their last chocolate croissant of the day and felt as though I had won the lottery! An absolute gem in the neighborhood and worth checking out. Go earlier rather then later if you’re looking for more variety. They do fresh baked cookies, croissants and breads. Happy carboloading! …
Delicious! Everyone was very nice and helpful. Pleasantly surprised to discover that they also serve coffee and tea. All in all, it's pretty close to the original bakery's but, not quite there. Either way, it's still really good, they just didn't salt things as much and cooked a smidge longer.
Hey there, We want to thank you for THE best pastries that we ever tasted. What Quality!!!! For me the croissant was the best, so crunchy, full of flavor from the great butter that you used. For my girlfriend the ham and cheese biscuit was the favoraite! Greetings from A happy belgian tourist
Nice staff. Quick counter orders. Quickly served custom coffee and tea. Very busy and popular. Great bread and cookies.... Sometimes I get kombucha. Fresh bread and cookies daily. Local meat and sausage and salami in small amounts. Many outdoor tables front and rear.
Love love love Amelia's and love this location making it way closer than Fountain Square or various farmers markets. Great outdoor seating area and always the very best bread. I've never found comparably high quality sourdough in any of my travels across the country.
Got the chance to check this place out today for the first time. Cinnamon roll croissant, focaccia bread, chai, and a latte. Everything was great. Staff was super friendly. When I got there the line was long but moved quickly. So glad they are in the neighborhood.
Very friendly service and a lovely space with WiFi. I feel more than welcome to work from here. This is one of the few places that still has bottomless coffee. They also have delicious deli and bakery items and some pantry goods if you'd like to round out a meal.
This is a very good bakery in this neighborhood! The employees are very friendly and their croissants are great! I only deducted a star because their brownies were not my favorite… But all in all, this is a pretty great place to stop at for breakfast!
I was very excited to come here for the first time and decided to have a cheat day. I asked for a coffee and some cookies and the manager laughed at me and said “maybe you should try the salad fatty” and then proceeded to point and poke at my stomach.
My daughter purchased some of their croissants as a treat. After eating their croissants, no other croissants compare! The humble butter croissant was a thing of beauty, a feast for the eyes! Every delicate and delicious layer was worthy of praise.
Perfect little location. Highly recommend anything croissant-related! You can tell a lot of love went into the build of the shop. Try different sandwiches of the day or daily specialty bread loaves - won’t be lacking quality, that’s for sure.
I truly enjoyed this place. Very comfortable and good service.

A very pleasant little coffee shop and bakery. Parking was readily available (granted, it was Tuesday evening), service was prompt and pleasant. Had a latte and a ginger molasses cookie. Very happy with both. Will definitely be back.
My favorite location to drop in for a chai and chocolate croissant! Amelia’s in Windsor Park has a beautiful front patio that I have spent time reading at. They have a private room upstairs perfect for Zoom meetings and/or studying!
Love this place. The staff are always nice. The restaurant is always clean. The baked goods and drinks are great. The only complaint, limited indoor seating. It's not bad in the spring and summer, when outdoor seating is available.
I’m happy I found this place a few weeks ago. Great baked goods, quality coffee, and two decks to sit outside when it’s warm. One of my favorite spots for morning runs + there’s a lot more to explore in the area ;)
This place was welcoming, wifi was fast, the coffee was delicious and you can’t go wrong with any of the pastry selections. Definitely a nice cozy place to catch up with a book or a friend or get some work done
I can't say enough good things about Amelia's. I don't think they're physically capable of making bad bread. The cookies are particularly fantastic. I just wish they were open a little earlier in the morning!
Best sourdough in Indianapolis. A dozen different bakeries and I can't find anything else that comes close in quality. The croissants are glorious! The cinnamon and chocolate are both my favorite.
Corporate farmhouse vibes with a limited coffee menu. Baked goods (sweets) were decent, coffee typical, and maybe don't sit outside in the back because they've got some sort of biting bugs.
I love love love Amelia's. The staff is always very kind and every item on their menu satisfies. It's the perfect spot to walk or bike to for a quick bite or for buying bread for the week.
Fresh bread every day and great chocolate croissants. As a bakery/coffee place lover, I want to come back to try new things. Price is good and they vibe is good. They have outside area.
Happened to stumble upon this gem on our weekend in Indy. Awesome vibe, super friendly staff, amazing coffee and pastries. Definitely recommend. Great place to sit and hang for a bit.
best bread in indy! the best cookies... gelato plus espresso.. fantastic. coffee drinks are ok, not a specialty coffee shop, more of a great bakery with some standard coffee drinks.
Coffee shop and bakery in a beautifully repurposed house in Spades Park. I got a mocha that was excellent, and the space is inviting. We also got a cinnamon roll that was great!
Amelia's is so incredibly amazing. A very cute and charming place with friendly and fast service. Hands down one of the best pastries I've ever had, I cannot wait to go back.
Keeps a great rotation of pastries each day and always some wonderful breads you can get sliced, whole or half. Simple coffee menu, but good and can’t wait to try the gelato!
Nice staff. I have enjoyed everything that I have ordered here. I like that they usually have new items in their case that I can try out. Great place to get some Gelato too.
Absolutely love this new location. It's bright and airy, with inside and outside seating, as well as a walk up window. Their bread and and pastry selections are delicious.
Flakey pastries, buttery biscuits, and soft crusty loaves of sourdough make this a must try spot! Come early because they often sell out their most popular pastries.
We love Amelia's pastries, coffees, sandwiches, and all of the gourmet goodies they have to offer! Plus, it's a great place to sit down and enjoy the downtown area.
The best pastries in Indy! The bear claw rocked my world and best chocolate chip cookie known to mankind. This is an awesome place to grab coffee and meet friends.
Thank you for being in our neighborhood, Amelia's. We love your delicious breakfast sandwiches on Saturdays, and we love your breads available throughout the week.
We always stop here when we are in the area. The pugliese loaf is my wife's favorite. Just tried the Pullman breakfast sandwich. Big enough to share.
Horrible management I asked for my order to be corrected and the manager came out and gave me a nasty attitude and whispered a slur as he walked away
The Pullman bread is our go-to. Perfect for any type of sandwich. The cinnamon croissants are great too, they sell out fast so get there early.
Love this place BUT damn do we miss your breakfast sandwiches! Can you please bring them back? They were our Saturday morning favorite …
Hands down best baked goods in Indy. I cannot wait for your location in the Stutz building to open as it is directly on my route to work!
Location is great Coffee is good Bread is awesome Little guy making the coffee needs a some guidance or a class on customer relations
Wowza! So stinking yummy! The cinnamon roll crescent was AMAZING and the iced Americano was on point! Friendly Staff as well. …
I absolutely LOVE Amelia's!!!! I have been here at least once a week for the last 4 weeks in a row. That's how amazing they are!!!
Clean little place. Fresh tasty bread and pastries. Good coffee. Hard to figure why masks are still required for entry though.
What a cute homey little space! So many local delicious items available. The people were very friendly and happy to help.
Sooo good! And Tinker coffee too! Gelato soon, so excited. I love this location, it's really nice during in the patio
Ohhh man,,, this is even closer to me then the Fountain Square location... They have the best bread & I love bread!!
Chocolate croissant *almost* as good as in France, though I suggest they use the real name 'Pain au Chocolat'.
This is a great place to get coffee. Located right next to the kan kan. Seating available inside and outside.
Always friendly service from the entire team! The GF/Vegan breakfast cookie is my personal fave …
So flipping good!! I downed the chocolate croissant and latte quicker than I thought I would *drool*
Was not disappointed! Really recommend this place for breakfast. They have a nice patio too :)
Super cute location with delicious baked goods! The cinnamon roll croissant was so yummy!
Amazing baked goods and tasty coffee. Amelia's is a great addition to the neighborhood.
The best bakery in town. Their breads are amazing. We get the focaccia all the time.
Nice spot to stop and set up the laptop for some work. Good coffee and good vibes!!
Beautiful pastries with a great patio. Wonderful addition to the neighborhood
Knowledgeable able their goods, my first time visiting, beautiful atmosphere.
Amelia’s is so fire. Try the cinnamon roll croissant- you’re welcome. …
Friendly nice staff. Wasn't busy in afternoon. Still had product available.
Clean. Friendly. Get there early because the good pastries sell quickly.
Best baked goods near downtown! Next time, I'll try a fresh baked loaf.
