i’ve been here multiple saturday nights and it’s always very empty and boring. i went on the fun bus which dropped us off at amor and we all were denied because it was ‘too full’. well 10 mins later they suddenly let us in and (no shock) it was super empty. they had let us in but we then we heard the bouncer bit*hing about us saying it was too much hassle and we shouldnt have come and his attitude was awful towards us. like i said this place is always dead and a group of us came and most of us bought multiple drinks so we were probably the only reason they made any revenue that night tbh. i don’t understand how they stay afloat when they seemingly don’t want anyone coming in (seeing the other reviews of people being turned away). most of the bar staff are very nice and do their jobs well it’s just the bouncer/owner that has a horrible attitude. maybe don’t work at a club/bar if drunk people trying to have a fun night are ‘too much hassle’.

It was our first pubbing in Hobart, we enjoyed the time well spent with the musician( oops forgot the name), kristy Harding was the wonderful person through out the closing time, we Shared our cultural heritage and experiences, we had a wonderful evening after long time, Wednesday s the best time to go, as no one was dance floor, musician played some Bollywood music, the bar girl was very kind and helpful. owerall wonderful evening

Great venue! Lovely friendly staff who greeted us with a smile. The drinks are reasonably priced and good quality alcohol. They had a massive range of alcohol. The function room for my birthday was for free also. Beer garden out the back. Highly recommended for a birthday or another event your celebrating. Thanks for the great night Amor Bar

I don’t recommend this place, my friends and I tried to enter and they refused with no reason. And now they said that we punched the window, which is not true, we only got a “not tonight”. I guess they made a mistake and confused us with another group. I invite you to public your proof

The security guard did not let me in just because I’m no Australian. And because I’m not a white guy. I waited outside and I saw a group getting in. That’s not true. I invite you to check the the camera and demand if I did what you say. Cheers

Pretty cool atmosphere etc... But when we complained about a cocktail we had made which tasted off, the (who I found out later) owner looked at us & said extremely arrogantly "well you don't have to drink it you know"...other staff were nice

it's sad to find places like this in hobart where you're not allowed in because you're not Australian. Can you call the police to show the video? that accusation seems like an excuse not to have responsibility.

Nice little cocktail bar, great karaoke on Thursday nights. Very cool atmosphere. Do yourself a favour.

Perfect venue for a party. Had a great night on the dance floor which was nicely separate with its own DJ. Loads of atmosphere rather than just a room.

Great service and cheap drinks. I would 100% recommend Amor Bar to your event. They were very accomodating.

Looking forward too some tunes. Republic booked out. Closed at 855 no sign poor effort.
