I did my first AngelTours trip over 10 years ago - a walking tour of Florence and Venice before being engaged with my now-wife. Just last week, I was lucky enough to bring my company, a group of ~20 people from different parts of the world, on several tours together over the course of 10 days. Attention to detail is what makes the difference between the trip of a lifetime and merely an expedited road trip to tourist traps. Even before we arrived, Sean gave us plenty of updated tips and tricks like how to avoid waiting for taxis at Rome Airport (FCO), what to beware of when traveling to the Colosseum on a given day (due to road closures), as well as what restaurants to book early and which ones to avoid (i.e. scams that heat frozen food). We left with warm memories from the trip of a lifetime. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rome - Golf Cart Tours ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - I had read the reviews and descriptions on the AngelTours website, but never REALLY understand the massive difference of going in a golf cart vs a traditional car - Firstly, golf carts are electric vehicles (EV), you're not adding ot the smog of the city and planet - You can avoid parking and pull right up to the sidewalk at places that are usually unreachable by even the smallest car due to the traffic. We pulled up to the Vatican side walk, got out, and were finished sightseeing and taking pictures before some tours could even park and unload passengers - This simply can't be done in a tiny smart car, let alone a limo or bus, so unless you're unable to walk, or have health or disability issues, you should definitely opt for a golf cart tour - We got to see maybe 2 - 3x more places than we otherwise would have - AngelTours brings battery packs so that you can recharge your phone while you're waiting too - they care about your experience down to a T. - Mikayla was a great driver, too. Super safe and smooth. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Florence - Uffizi Tour ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - We skipped the line, of course. Mila and Michaela were terrific and very in depth - There are over 100 rooms to see here so you could spend an entire day just at the Uffizi, but they help you hone in on and appreciate the masterpieces. We chose a ~2 hour tour. - If you wish, you can stay in the Uffizi afterward and continue to wander. Florence - Academica Tour - Same with the Uffizi, Mila and Mikayla helped us skip the line - Everyone comes here for the David, but there are details that we went into which I could hear other tours gloss over. The veins on David's right arm. The psycho who hammered and damaged the left pinky toe a few years ago. - There are other pieces here worth learning about, such as the "fake", and unfinished Michelangelo sculptures ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vatican - Walking Tour ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - If you can only pick one tour in Rome, you will want to take this one. - We skipped the line, as is normal with this company - NOTE: Whether you are male, female, neither, or something in between, remember to cover your knees and shoulders. This is written on the tickets, in your emails, and is also well known across the world, but people still come unprepared. Depending on the security personnel at the entrance, you might be denied entry if your skirt is too short, or top is too revealing for their liking that day. Secretly, they might just like it too much, but you never know. - Tour was very in depth and went into the masterpieces in an EXCELLENT way. Great for everyone from teenagers to seniors - whether you have little background knowledge and are simply admiring the grandeur and sheer opulence of the Vatican museums, or you're a history buff with a minor in Classical Studies. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ferrari Tour (Tuscany) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Tuscany, but also available in Florence and Rome - We were among the first ever to take this tour, and it left us with a lifetime of memories - Sean managed to get a Ferrari delivered to our villa in Tuscany, which was very affordable compared to the driving experiences that cost an arm and a leg in Bologna

We visited Rome in May 2022 and booked two tours with Angel Tours. Both were excellent and we would highly recommend them. The following are our reviews of each tour: The Vatican with Alessandro... We had an absolute magic tour of the Vatican with our guide Alessandro from Angel Tours. We spent over 3 hours being taken through various parts of the Vatican Museums, The Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. All the time Alessandro was pointing out various sculptures and paintings etc and telling us the stories behind them, while giving lots of insider bits of information that would be impossible to hear ear without someone like him. He had a huge depth of knowledge about the Vatican and and seems to have spent a great deal of time researching the various aspects. Because guides are not allowed into the Sistine Chapel, he spent time beforehand showing us pictures of what we would see and explaining what the elements of each of those pictures depicted which meant that when we entered the chapel our experience was greatly enhanced. We would definitely recommend booking Alessandro and Angel Tours if you are planning a visit to the Vatican. Ancient Rome with Ben... We had a super tour of Ancient Rome with Ben from Angel tours. We started at the Victor Emmanuel II monument and continued along through the Imperial Forum area up to the Capitoline Hill and finished up at the Circus Maximus. We had a multitude of stops along the way which gave Ben the opportunity to display his huge depth of knowledge of Ancient Rome, from the very small places that most people would never notice, up to, of course, the major monuments. Ben imparted this myriad of information in a very relaxed way which immersed us in the history while making it feel more like we were listening to a series of riveting stories. Finishing with the Circus Maximus meant that we ended on a high as we pictured the charioteers of old racing against each other, Ben Hur style, in front of vast crowds in the huge arena. We would encourage anyone visiting Rome to book this tour with Ben and Angel tours.

We had the most amazing time on three different tours organized by Angel Tours. Vatican: First we went on a tour of the Vatican with the tour guide Mariana who was a charming and knowledgable Italian with a background in art history. She made the time fly by as she walked us through the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel, the St. Peter's Basilica and Square. And she tailored her comments based on our interests and our home countries, and had a great sense of humor about things. Food Tour: We took the Rome Food Tour with Italian native Diego. It was an easy going tour, walking through the historic area, the food market, (and the recommended stalls for great cheese), the amazing store for all the hams, sausages, etc, and the best places for street food, pizza, gelato, and amazing amazing pasta. It was all manageable to eat, because we did it slowly, walking from one place to another, taking our time as he discussed the historical significance to certain areas, and answered our questions about anything Italian that came to mind. It became sort of a cultural, historical food tour and we walked away content and extremely satisfied. New Year's Eve Tour: We were unsure of what to do on New Year's Eve. We weren't up for some raucous party and it was a bit late for us to even book reservations for a dinner. But Sean of Angel Tours was so lovely and helped us not only book reservations for a dinner place near our hotel, but added us into the New Year's Eve Tour. He brought a small shuttle bus of Italians and tourists up to one of the hill parks overlooking the city, and there we were able to watch all the amazing fireworks all over Rome. We toasted the New Year with champagne and lit floating paper lanterms over the city with our well wishes. It was one of the most memorable New Year's I've experienced.

Exceptional Visit to the Vatican with Alecia from Angel Tours! My husband, myself and our three daughters enjoyed an exceptional visit to Rome and the Vatican on June 20, 2017. Our daughters are ages 9, 14 & 16. We were so very fortunate to have Angel Tours book our visit and arrange for our wonderful guide, Alecia. I contacted Tatjana in the Angel Tours office via email, chose a date and time and she planned everything and made it very easy for us! We received clear instructions about where to meet our guide and because we had pre-planned through Angel Tours we were able to skip a ridiculously long line and walk right in with our guide. Alecia gave us a great overview of the museum, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica before we started in the museum. She was fantastic with our girls because she made our visit into a game. Our nine-year-old, especially, loved this and later told me that she probably wouldn't have learned so much if it wasn't a game. And, she said, because she had so much fun playing the game she remembered most of the art and had a lot of fun! We were really excited that our girls enjoyed their visit so much because my husband and I have wanted to do this to her for a long time and their enjoyment made ours that much better. Alecia was extremely knowledgeable! I don't think we would have enjoyed our experience as much without her guidance and detail. It's great to go into a museum knowing what to look for and the history behind it. We will definitely recommend Angel Tours and Alecia to our friends and when we return to Italy we will definitely use their services again.

First and foremost thanks to Sean and Imelda for such a professional set up. From start to finish it was seamless. The whats app and email correspondence in advance of the trip arranging the dates and meeting points was brilliantly organised. Imelda kept me informed up until we arrived in Rome. Hadi then txted the meeting point on Tuesday , The same went for Margarita and Valeria. We booked 3 tours with Angel Tours, the highlight being the Golf Cart Tour. Special thanks to Hadi our guide last Wednesday morning 15th March. We loved the tour from start to finish. Even the coffee stop was amazing . Went back every morning since for a coffee. Hadi explained everything in such detail and gave time to my kids . He brought us to the main sites along with few other surprise pit stops. Highly recommend this on the first morning if you haven't been to Rome before. Brilliant way to get your bearings Next we went on the Colossuem Tour with Margarita (who happens to be an Architect specialising in Archaeology) , who better to guide you through the roman forum , walk up palatine hill and then walk through the colosseum . Finally on Thursday we spent the afternoon on Vatican City with Valeria. She was excellent. Valeria is so knowledgeable on the entire city and its amazing museums. The highlight of the day being the Sistene Chapel and St Peters, NO queueing with Angel Tours - was brilliant as the were massive crowds and queues at the entrance. We avoided this and went straight in. Don’t book with anyone else !

We have used Angel Tours on at least three different trips. Twice in Rome for their excellent Vatican Museum tours and once in a private group with Enzo, who met us at our ship and drove us to Pompeii where we spent a couple of hours self touring, and then back to the port via a different route which was the beautiful scenic route along the Amalfi coast with a lunch stop at a local eatery. Enzo was an excellent driver, great English and his knowledge of the area is from living there so he not only knows what he’s talking about but he tells fun stories of beach parties and discos back in the day. I will call on Angel Tours any time I need a guide in the future. I do suggest that if you want to have a very thorough tour of the Vatican Museums and not just make a beeline to the Sistine Chapel, let them know when you book the guide because there are many travelers who really just want to see the chapel and don’t care as much for the museum part. Their prices are very reasonable as well. I hope that they can stay afloat in this difficult time.

Cannot say enough positive things about the EXTRAORDINARY experience we had with Angel Tours in London! I toured with Angel in Rome in 2009 and was eager to patronize them again on this trip of the UK. Sasha was our guide for all of our London tours: Tour Bridge Area, Extended Central London and Greenwich over 1 evening and 2 days. Sasha is absolutely lovely, knowledgeable and very accommodating. He customized the tours to what we were most interested in seeing, gave us many tips and assisted us in any way he could; maximizing our time and enjoyment while keeping a very relaxed pace for exploration , eating, drinking. I saw and did everything I was immediately interest in and so much more! He allowed time for us to take venue tours (Westminster Abbey, Maritime Museum) and gave info for us to do other venue/attractions on our own (London Eye) If you are looking for a tour that will allow you to maximize your travel experience book with Angel and in London with Sasha! I count myself lucky that a friend recommended Angel Tours. They are the difference between a referral service, which so many are, and a true tour company. The people that run and work for Angel Tours are world travelers too. They know their city so well, they know the people behind the scenes, and they want nothing but a wonderful experience for their clients. On the bus, I listened as one of the owners, on his mobile, helped a bewildered family who had registered for the wrong tour. He got them back on track with a Vatican tour by calling in a favor on one of the busiest days of the year. I don't ever want to be that family. I'll spend the same as a competitor or a couple more euros, and work with Angel Tours for peace of mind on my vacation. This company is a serious class act and are worthy of your patronage.

We took our 5th tour with Angel Tours on Friday with walking tour of Paris. Sylvania was a great tour guide. Asked us what we wanted to do, made great suggestions, knew history and art and current politics. We walked and she narrated. It was like walking thru a painting around Notre Dame, Louvre , many Paris Bridges and lots of hidden gardens and alleyways where we found treasures. She gave us great insight into Paris and we saw places that not many people see. We have done Angel Tours in Rome the Coliseum, Antica and the fabulous golf cart tour which you cannot miss. We also did a food tour in Galway Ireland. Bring Irish descent I was blown away with the foodie choices. Every one had the best guides in the business. Angel Tours is always excellent. Highly highly recommend and you will not be disappointed

With only a short time in Rome and traveling with young children we wanted to maximize our experiences. I found Angel Tours through a search and opted for a half day golf cart tour of Rome. Sean was our guide and it was absolutely brilliant. He has a deep knowledge of Rome based on over 20 years experience and he was able to tailor the tour to suit our family’s interests. We saw an incredible amount in half a day without it ever feeling rushed or drawn out. Whilst we covered some of the star attractions, such as the Vatican he also showed us some less well known gems. He was very amiable and his positive nature was a hit with us and the kids. Incredible. Our experience during our tour of the Colosseum is worthy of 5 stars. Our tour guide, Flavio, is a proud Roman who was personable and relatable. We learned so much and enjoyed sharing stories from our own country's history, comparing and contrasting. Rapport was built straight away, and Flavio was professional and could adapt the tour to suit our age demograph as we established we are similar in age early on. By the end, it felt like Flavio was a friend we just shared an amazing historical Roman experience with. Flavio went over and beyond, recommending cuisine and further places to visit on our trip. I took the Vatican Tour with Angel Tours by myself. I was greeted by Sean, a young lad from Ireland. At first I thought what the heck is an Irishman going to teach me about Italy. Well let me tell you, I was blown away. I have traveled to many places around the world and have had many a tour guides and Sean is the tops. Not only is he extremely knowledge but he is so much fun. He also had great insights of the Vatican and St. Peter's Square that I didn't see any other tour guides in the areas he took us. When I compared notes with my friends who had taken a Vatican Tour earlier, we all agreed that I had taken the better tour and gained much more inside knowledge. Can't recommend Angel Tours enough. I would give it 10 stars.

we had 3 stellar experiences with angel tours during our recent week in rome. Margarita is a historian who made the Colosseum and Forum come alive with her stories of how, when, where and why each was built and how the narratives of these historic sites shifted over time. She even reco'd a great pizza place for us to enjoy post-tour. Valeria walked us through the Vatican, vividly bringing the art and history alive. We had a Heart of the City tour with our guide Flavio. Walking through the city center he explained the main history attached to the sites. We had 2 children with us, and he included them, asking questions and listening to them. I would highly recommend this tour as without this guide, we would have just been wandering around, unsure of where exactly to go, and not knowing what we were looking at, or the story behind the sites. The tour is interesting but not boring, with plenty to see and great recommendations for food and gelato on the way! If you are looking to come to the city center, see the main sites with a great guide, book this one!

Sean's tour was the highlight of our trip to Rome! I hired Sean for a tour of the Colosseum for a group of 20 high school students, and we loved him so much that we booked his Pantheon tour the following day! He is extremely knowledgable about Roman history and very personable and entertaining. His passion for the history of the sites is contagious. He kept the entire group engaged and treated us like old friends. We spent 3 weeks in Europe and only a few hours with Sean, but he was the highlight of the trip for many of the students. Don’t think twice about booking the golf cart tour of Rome. Ruth went out of her way to accommodate our large group, and the communication from Sean the owner was timely, reassuring and perfect. Additionally, We had the pleasure of having Sean join us to drive one of the golf carts, while our amazing guide Gio drove the other. It felt like we were spending the day with old friends. Gio took us all around town, including to his favorite gelato shop. We will look for golf cart tours in every new place we visit because it is such a pleasurable way to see the city, and the carts can go where cars can not.

Sean T. went above and beyond every single step of the way. I organised a work group Golf buggy tour with Angel Tours and a trip to the Colosseum the following day. The Guides were very flexible and picked us up from our lunch restaurant and we set off on a tour of Rome. Our guide was knowledgeable and the driving felt safe. It was very good fun and I recommend this as a team building activity. The trip to the Colosseum was fantastic, with fast track tickets we spent less time queuing and more time soaking up the atmosphere and our guide was great. I would highly recommend Angel Tours

We had a wonderful tour by Haidi. He hit a bunch of highlights for us plus some areas and views we’d never heard of. He was great at finding excellent photo spots despite some of the crowds and was excellent at navigating the busy streets. He gave us a number of local food recommendations which weren’t tourist traps. Thankyou Haidi. Angela from Angel Tours was great at coordinating with us on our itinerary. There was a hiccup due to a maintenance issue on one of the carts but she was helpful and proactive in working with us to figure out alternate times that worked. Thankyou Angela!

Such an absolutely incredible experience! Due to our short time in Rome, we decided to go ahead with a private tour in Vatican City so that we are able to see it all. We did the complete Vatican city tour (Vatican museum, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica and Square) with Valeria. She was extremely kind, super informative throughout and energetic. From first contact with Seán(owner) we knew we were in good hands who himself is a character, this is a brilliant tour with a very knowledgeable guide. We had the most memorable experience of Italy with Angel Tours. I will never forget driving golf carts around to beautiful sites of Rome with Sean and Michele. Or the very engaging tours we had in Florence, Venice, Tuscany and Rome. The food and drink they recommended were an absolute delight. Since they are so knowledgeable about the cities, they make sure you get to see the best stuff, while finding the most comfortable & quickest way there. It all felt very personal. Did the golf cart tour on April 25th and wow what a tour it was . Our guide Sahar brought us to all the sights including many we hadn’t seen before . It was great fun and informative and nice to be driven round as we’d done a lot of walking the previous few days . We were able to stop at each location and there was plenty of time for photos , we even managed to grab an ice cream ! Would highly recommend this tour , great for all ages . We started off with a golf cart tour on our first full day in Rome. As we had three small children in our party this was an excellent way to see way more of Rome than we ever could have walking. Sarah was our guide for this and she was awesome navigating and narrating. Our next day we utilized Angel tours again for the colosseum and Vatican. There are not enough words to express my appreciation of Angel Tours. We opted for the Golf Cart Tour because my mother has limited mobility. Our guide, Flavio, was extremely knowledgeable of all periods of history as well as skilled at intertwining humor and unique stories. He also demonstrated extreme patience as my mother could only walk short distances at a time. We will forever cherish this experience Angel Tours made possible for us! The golf cart tour in Rome was really fun. Sean put great effort into explaining the backstories of monuments and points of interest in Rome and Venice. I especially enjoyed the tour of Uffizi Gallery, in Florence, and how pieces of art were explained in great detail by Michele. Overall, I don't think the trip to Italy would have been as enjoyable without Angel Tours. Their food and drink recommendations were spot on. They definitely made the trip memorable.

A Golf Cart tour is the best way to cover all the sites in Rome, especially if you are a multi-generational group as we were. What makes Angel Tours standout is their guides. Marco was fabulous and so knowledgeable. With a Masters in History, he was able to share so much more than your average tour guide. Marco was also a great photographer, capturing us at all the stops. People, please... follow my advice, avoid tours with large groups of people where the guide always seems to be on a hurry and does not elaborate when you ask questions. Go with the pros, these people are historians, they know their stuff, sure, it might cost a little bit more but you'll get your moneys worth. After all... "when in Rome". My husband and I just did the colosseum tour. We were exhausted before it even started, so we were worried about how the day would turn out. BUT, our tour guide Kasia made all the difference in the world! She was so friendly, welcoming, funny, and very informative! It was, hands down, the best tour we have ever been on! Simply the best. Angel Tours had been professional and personal throughout our trip to Italy. Best tours in Rome! I had the tour in Collesseo and Roman Forum 08/11/2018 with family who are visiting me in Europe for first time and we just had a great experience with Kasia who is a lovely tour guide and brings us a great atmosphere with her knowledge about the place. A magical few hours walking the streets of Barcelona... Lisa, our tour guide, knew it ALL and took us EVERYWHERE and indulged us at the end in a TERRIFIC glass of authentic Barcelona Vermouth. We had an amazing time. We've toured with Angel Tours in Rome, Paris and now Barcelona... my preferred tour group, by far.

Margarita gave us a really informative & enjoyable tour of the coliseum in Rome. The tour lasted for 2.5 hours so it was excellent value & well worth the money. The golf cart tour of Rome is perfect we experienced real Rome in just 4 hours with an Irish guide called Connor. The Vatican museums was with an Italian lady who revealed detailed facts through storytelling methods which kids loved. we used them in Barcelona too and had another Irish historian

We recently did 3 tours with Angel Tours. The tour guides, Janet, Flavio and Haidi, were all great. They are very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. They were also great with my 10 year old daughter, that asked many questions. They took the time to listen to her and answer her.

Sean was the best tour guide! He was so nice, funny, and knowledgeable. Took us to the best places to see in Rome on a golf cart (which is nice for the heat) and took pics of us, stopped for water breaks, gave us advice to avoid being taken advantage of as tourists, etc. highly recommend!

Very highly recommend Angel Tours. We had a fantastic tour of the Colosseum and The Roman Forum with them. There was a problem with the time we had booked, and even though it was late on the night before our tour, Sean was available on WhatsApp and sorted it all out. Worth every penny.

Sean was extremely helpful and arranged a tour at short notice. He also gave us restaurant recommendations and other useful We really enjoyed the tour and our guide, Margarita was very informative. Would definitely recommend Angel Tours and would use them again without hesitation.

We had a wonderful Colosseum tour with angel tours, which was really informative but also at a lovely relaxed pace! Our guide Sylvia was very nice and gave us some lovely food recommendations which was an added bonus. Would heartily recommend this tour company to anyone.

i cannot rate Silvia at Angel Tours highly enough for showing me around the Vatican Museums and basilica. I was the only one on the tour and she tailored what we saw and where we went to be informative, interesting and entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

Had an excellent Rome tour with Sahar. Even though weather was particularly hot there was a lovely breeze in the golf cart. Visited most of the major sites and Sahar went out of the way to include one we requested. Would highly recommend for adults and children.

Absolutely amazing tour! Had Sahar as a guide and she was incredible. Took us everywhere we wanted to go, brought us to the best ice cream I’ve ever had, and even helped us go grab our laundry at the end of the tour! Highly reccomend!

Great tour covering alot of the city. We got to see some gorgeous vistas and locations we hadn't even seen mentioned by other tour operators. The golf cart tour is a fast easy way to see a lot of beautiful things and places.
