Show Me Italy sent me a message on Sept 10th to tell me that they had rescheduled my Oct 9 visit for Sept 9th instead. They rescheduled me for a past date in the wrong month, without asking. They wrote the words in English letters, so clearly it wasn't an issue of misunderstanding the order of month/date. When I replied, I had to ask them to clarify how I could attend a past date tour two times before they recognized their 'typo' and blamed the Colosseum administration. Also, we booked for 10:20am, but they rescheduled us (without asking permission) for an 11:35am entrance. They once told us it was 11:00 meeting, 11:15 start. But then they sent a WhatsApp the week of the tour saying we had to reply immediately to confirm our time via email. When I noted that we had previously had this change time conversation via email they simply didn't respond. When I asked them to stop changing the time (10:20 - > 11/11:15 - > 11:15 only) they simply told me that they had only changed it once. In total, without asking if we were okay with it, Show Me Italy changed our scheduled tour from 10:20 - > 11/11:15 - > 11:15 - > 11:35. Because we entered the Colosseum at 11:35 my wife could only stay for half of the tour, as she had work appointments which she could not avoid in the afternoon. IF we had started at 10:20am, as we had originally booked, then she would have been able to stay for most of the tour. Show Me Italy blamed the Colosseum administration, changed times repeatedly, literally told me to come for the tour on a past date (should I go back in time in my DeLorean?). The tour guide was good; the tour company organization was bad.

Esta empresa é uma fraude. Hoje, comprei um ingresso para às 10h20. Esperei no local exato indicado para o encontro - Largo Corrado Ricci -, fiquei das 9h30 às 10h45, mas não apareceu ninguém. Quando liguei, até deram com má educação e desligaram na minha cara. Nem deram satisfação. No local, havia uma guia, de outra empresa, que saiu às 10h15, mas já estava lá desde 9h50. Portanto, há empresas idôneas, não comprem desta. This company is a fraud. Today, I bought a ticket for 10:20 am. I waited at the exact place indicated for the meeting - Largo Corrado Ricci -, I stayed from 9:30 am to 10:45 am, but nobody showed up. When I called, they were rude and hung up on me. They weren't even satisfied. In the place, there was a guide, from another company, who left at 10:15 am, but had been there since 9:50 am. Ho aspettato nel luogo esatto indicato per l'appuntamento - Largo Corrado Ricci -, sono rimasto dalle 9:30 alle 10:45, ma non si è presentato nessuno. Quando ho chiamato, sono stati maleducati e hanno riattaccato. Non erano nemmeno soddisfatti. Sul posto c'era una guida, di un'altra compagnia, che è partita alle 10:15, ma era lì dalle 9:50. Pertanto, ci sono aziende rispettabili, non comprare da questa.

Un tour plutôt complet en termes d’informations mais notre guide Catherine a été peu avenante à la limite du désagréable et nous a fait peu sentir en confiance pour poser des questions notamment. Dommage car cela impacté notre première expérience ici. Elle semblait lassée et récitait son discours sans intonation ni passion. Les informations données sont denses et plutôt compliquées à comprendre et suivre, et une fois de plus nous n’osions pas poser de questions de peur de se faire rembarrer. Attention la visite a duré 3h au lieu de 2h30 si vous avez des obligations après. Attention également d’arriver à l’heure car il y avait des retardataires qui n’ont pas été attendues une minute de plus… ce qui nous a particulièrement choquées étant donné le prix de la visite. Nous recommandons ce tour, qui nous semble primordial de faire avec un guide mais pas avec Catherine.

Wir haben über Get Your Guide die geführte Tour Kolosseum / Forum Romanum / Palatinhügel mit Show Me Italy gebucht. Es verlief alles super. Wir haben sogar nochmal eine Whatsapp am Vortag erhalten, mit dem neuen Treffpunkt. Der Treffpunkt war direkt an der Tramstation am Kolosseum. Hier haben wir uns angemeldet und auf unseren Tourguide gewartet. Wir haben sogar Aufkleber bekommen, sodass eine schnelle Zuweisung der Gruppen möglich war. Unser Tourguide Claudi war super, sie hat die Tour echt super gemacht, es war ein Mix aus interessanten Informationen und lustigen Anekdoten. Es war wirklich sehr interessant und alles professionell organisiert! Wir haben sogar ein Audioguide bekommen, um Claudi über ihr Mikrofon immer gut verstehen zu können. Immer wieder gerne! Es lohnt sich!

Did a tour of the Colosseum and palatine hill. Initially it was supposed to be just that, but as we were waiting for our tour guide they had a couple of places free in another group which also included the arena floor and they asked if we wanted to go with that group, this was a very nice surprise. Our tour guide Scott was very knowledgeable, funny and had lots of nice interaction with the group. One of the things he would do was to hold off the answer to interesting questions for a minute or so, so he could tell the entire group. As it was a very warm day he would often find us a nice spot in the shade and point us towards water sources so we could fill up and stay hydrated. If I could give 6 stars I would but sadly google does not allow this

We enjoyed the Colosseum Arena & Ancient Rome Fast Track Tour (small group option) which we booked ourselves on for November 2023 through GetYourGuide. Everything went smoothly from the time of check-in to the end. Our tour guide was Chiara, who spoke well and clearly and looked after our group well. She was unhurried in her commentary. We did not feel rushed and learnt much along the way. She was happy to take questions and gave us sufficient time at each place for photos and a bit of rest before moving on. The skip-the-line tickets were definitely a boon as part of the tour. We were glad that the tour went well for us as we had come from Singapore and it was our very first tour in Rome and Italy.

El tour es recomendable, nuestro guía fue Franco, fue súper amable y atento en todo momento. Quizás le faltaría un poquito de soltura a la hora de contar la historia, más como un cuento y con datos curiosos y no tantos datos y fechas históricas que luego te olvidas. Lo bueno es que entre el caos de la ciudad de Roma nos fue súper fácil encontrar al guía y al punto de encuentro. El tour ha empezado puntuar y el recorrido a pesar del calor ha sido muy ameno, tomándose el guía sus pausas adecuadas para que podamos descansar a la sombra, ir al baño y recargar el agua. Si volviera a contratar un tour lo haría nuevamente con esta empresa.

Great tour guide! Our tour guide, Rogelio, had great stories to tell and made sure to keep our attention not only with facts about the sites, but also with entertaining legends. He also integrated historical information about the Roman impact on the countries we were from, which was a very nice touch! Most surprising to me was Palatine Hill, as I didn't know much about it prior to this tour. The Colosseum itself was a fantastic experience, as expected! We visited in summer, but had plenty of shades in the morning tour. The tour took about 2,5-3 hours because we stayed longer for pictures. Would recommend to a friend.

Two taxis dropped us off at the wrong location somehow and when we finally contacted Show Me Italy staff, they were extremely unhelpful, rude and gave us the wrong directions. This resulted in my family missing our tour and our uncle getting lost. When we asked for the tickets to the Colosseum since we missed the tour, they refused to give them to us. They refused to refund us. We disputed the charges with our bank and eventually received a refund. Overall, horrible experience and our worst tour in Italy by far. There are plenty of other tour guides around, go with them instead!

We had an excellent tour with Giorgio B of the Colosseum, Forum and Palatine Hill. Knowledgable, well paced and willing to take questions. Finding the guides was relatively easy at the start but it was a bit manic with lots of different groups meeting in the same place and the rain starting just as we set off. Recommend getting there in good time. I think it would be helpful to make it clear on your details that there are lots of steps involved in this tour but that you also include a bathroom break at the Forum. Otherwise 3 hours can feel a long time to risk!

I really enjoy their tour "Colosseum Arena & Ancient Rome" in Spanish by Valentina. She explained everything in great detail accounting for the history and carried with her some pictures to show how everything used to look during Ancient Rome. It's a long trip with plenty of walking under the sun, so one should be prepared for that. In the tour there is great spots for photos of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. Totally recommended and worth it! More if you are visiting Rome in high tourist season as using the fast past you will save a long time in lanes.

Wir haben die Tour durch das Kolosseum mit Arena und Untergrund, sowie Forum Romanum und den Palatin-Hügel gebucht und waren begeistert. Die Zeit verging wie im Flug, was nicht nur an der charmanten und unterhaltsamen Art von Amanda lag, sondern auch an den tollen Eindrücken, die man mit den Informationen erhalten hat. Die Tour war wirklich ihr Geld wert und ein Must-See für alle die erstmals in Rom sind. Den krönenden Abschluss bildete die persönliche Empfehlung unserer Guide für ein Restaurant, welches wirklich eines war in dem die Locals Essen gehen.

This was a really nice tour getting to learn about the history while being guided through the Colosseum. This made the experience that much better hearing about the different historical artifacts and descriptions about the Colosseum. What made it even better was the convenience factor and also being able to skip likes and go to different parts of the Colosseum as a group. Also included was access to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. Your ticket can also get you into several different areas within the Roman Forum. Highly recommended!

I went on the guided tour of the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, and Colosseum and loved it. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable - so much better than trying to walk through the Roman Forum alone! He also spoke fantastic English so there was no issues understanding anything and he seemed to feel very comfortable chatting to us. As a local to Rome he could also offer suggestions of other things and made sure we understood where to go and what to do before leaving us in the Colosseum. Thank you so much Georgio!

We found the experience enjoyable overall, but it could have been better. It's summertime, so I understand that it's busy and the Colosseum is obviously a popular spot. Still, the assembly point setup could have been better, and I felt that our guide could have been a little more consistently engaged. He had a lot to manage- keeping 24 people together given the huge crowds, but it seemed that there were extended periods of silence that might have been used for stories or even just building rapport with the group.

Our guide, Lorenzo, (I believe I'm remembering his name correctly) was one the best tour guides I've had the honor of joining. We started at 3:15 and literally closed the place down as he pushed for one last story as the intercom announcement played while repeat telling us to leave. What a wealth of knowledge! We went to the arena floor, then around the Colosseum, through the Palatine Hill, and last to the Roman Forum. Truly incredible! Do wear good shoes as you'll be on your feet for a very long time.

Absolutely rude guide. We paid $194 for 3 people for the guided colosseum tour. We reached at 3:18 pm for a 3:15 tour and when I asked where’s our guide he shook his hands, refused to answer, ignored us and said they already left. When I said where we can follow them they said they can’t and won’t help since we were 3 minutes late. The guide who looks like an old aged man with red “SHOW ME ITALY” T shirt with specs the rudest of them all. Never waste your money, even if it’s the last resort

A nossa passagem por Roma foi absolutamente deliciosa e a grande responsável foi a Alessandra, a nossa guia, que não só nos acompanhou ao Coliseu, fórum Romano e Monte Palatino, mas como protagonizou a verdadeira história de todos estes monumentos e das famílias responsáveis pela construção e pelo império. Great experience with our french language speaking guide (sadly, I don’t remember his name). A lot of interesting information, patience and an easy communication with our guide. He seems to really enjoy his job. We visited the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the Palatine Hill. We had a fast-track entrance and we visited the restricted areas, like the Arena Floor of the Colosseum. All went smoothly. The listening equipment was very good after the guide replaced his emitter.

Nicola was wonderful!! So much knowledge imparted that brought the ancient world to life. (Plus loved his sense of humor.) Very much enjoyed going 'underground' the coliseum. The three hours flew by. My only suggestion would be to spend a little less time in the coliseum and more time in the Forum. Nicola obviously has an encyclopedic knowledge of ancient history -- would have loved to learn more about the Forum. We never made it to the Palatine.

We did the Colosseum, Forum and Palatine Hill l guided tour. Our guide Scott was so knowledgeable, friendly and funny. We are glad we booked a tour as we learned so much and covered all of the must-see parts! Scott’s tour included all of the best photo spots and he even made sure we passed all of the water fountains and shady spots to keep us hydrated and comfortable in the hot weather. Thanks Scott and would definitely recommend Show Me Italy!

I really enjoyed the guided tour very much. Visiting the Colosseum for the first time, and having such a charismatic and professional guide, enhanced the experience. Humi, our guide answered all the questions, has visual support to helpus recreate, helped us find the best places for the photos (this it's really important :) )and she was very nice with all of us. I fully recommend this company and if I return I would pay this tour again.

Beim Treffpunkt hat alles wunderbar geklappt. Die deutsche Führung dauerte die gebuchten 3 Stunden. Wir besuchten eine Stelle, wo wir einen tollen Blick auf das Colosseum hatten. Damit wir als Grossgruppe (ca.30 Personen) das Gesprochene gut verstanden, kriegten wir einen Ohrstöpsel. Aus hygienischen Gründen konnten wir ihn behalten, bzw. entsorgen. Diesen Abfall stört mich, da wäre es schön, wenn eine Alternative angeboten wird.

Excelente nuestra guía se llamaba Georgina era Española el tour en el Colosseo y Foro Romano fue de 3 horas, la guía nos advirtió q iba a ser cansado y Si! pero valió la pena, nos explico bastante sobre la historia de Roma, muy agradable,paciente y simpática. Vimos bastante en esas 3 horas a parte del Colosseo (que es espectacular) visitar las ruinas del Foro romano fue bastante impresionante. Gracias

The Colosseum Arena floor and Ancient Rome fast track tour was fantastic. Our guide, Giorgio was amazing! His command of the history and knowledge of the monuments was second to none. He brought the stones to life. We had plenty of time everywhere, we never felt rushed. The highlight was the Colosseum and we accessed the arena floor and the upper levels. Could not have found a better tour or guide!! Highly Recommended.

Wir hatten eine deutsche Tour mit Silvia gebucht. Sie hat uns sehr enthusiastisch das Forum Romanum, Palatino, die Ruinen des Kaisers Domizian und das Kolosseum gezeigt. Darüber hinaus viel Geschichte vermittelt und jede unserer Fragen beantworten können. Wir waren begeistert :) können es sehr empfehlen. Silvia ist eine sehr freundliche Italienerin, die die deutsche Sprache sehr gut beherrscht

Very good tour. However I felt like it could have been done within 2 hours or less as there has been loads of time spent in the Colosseum and not so much in the Roma forum and Palatine Hill. For both me and my boyfriend it costed £77.40, As we had booked online before flying to Italy. I would say that it was defiantly worth it. We had booked these travel agency through Viator website. Very reliable.

Una bonita experiencia haber sido guiados por Aurelia en español, se nota que está muy orgullosa de su legado histórico. Estábamos algo decepcionados de no haber podido conseguir entradas al coliseo y palatino en la página oficial, pero hacerlo a través de aquí fue mejor. Es muy recomendable tener guía para apreciar cada lugar por su valor histórico y cultural, valió la pena cada Euro.

Lia was one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had. She was incredibly fun and engaging and a wealth of knowledge. We were on the fence about doing a colosseum and forum tour but it ended up being one of the more enjoyable tours we’ve taken. We’d definitely take another tour with Show Me Italy, especially if we could have Lia as our tour guide. Whatever she’s being paid is not enough.

Absolutely amazing your with Humi today! I cannot say enough good things about this tour. She took so much time to explain things and just made the tour genuinely fun. She also did her best to get us into the shade when she could. It was a really great experience and I definitely recommend the underground skip the line tour. It is worth every penny because the place is packed.

We did the Colosseum, Palantine Hill and Roman Forum tour which went for 3 hours. Our guide, Eva, was fantastic, friendly and super energetic. Very approachable and gave such great information throughout the tour. She made sure to give enough toilet breaks and made sure everyone was drinking enough water. Very much worth the money, it was a great experience.

Julia was a great guide. I enjoyed her knowledge a lot the whole thing seemed rushed. So much to see and take in. The skip the line tickets are well worth it but the coliseum was so packed it was difficult to move. I wish they would put a limit on the number allowed in at once. Palentine hill offered great views on the city. Would highly recommend this.

Hicimos el Tour Roma: Coliseo, Arena y tour prioritario por la antigua Roma y salimos encantados. El guía Benjamín, nos lo explicó todo genial, tenía sentido del humor y además tenía respuesta a todas nuestras preguntas con precisión milimétrica. La visita fue de mucha calidad y pudimos entender mucho mejor como funcioba la antigua Roma.

The guide was knowledgeable and the tour was interesting and informative for our whole family. I can really recommend it, I do not think we would have enjoyed the experience as much if we had gone through by ourselves.

Excellent tour, the tour guide Marco was very very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I learned a lot about the roman forum and palantine hill, and entering the coliseum via the gladiators gate onto the arena floor was one of the coolest things I've ever done. 10/10 would recommend this tour.

Nos encantó. Ha sido la primera vez que hemos hecho un tour con ellos y si vuelvo a Roma no será la última. Fabriccio que fue nuestro guía nos contó muchísimas cosas y estuvo totalmente pendiente del grupo. Hacía muchísimo calor y pese a ello, logró introducirnos en este pedacito de historia.

Hemos hecho la visita al foro, el Palatino y el anfiteatro Flavio y nos ha gustado mucho. Nuestra guía, Valentina, ha sido encantadora. Una persona que te transmite su amor por su trabajo, dinámica y divertida. No me suelen gustar las visitas guiadas, pero sin duda esta ha sido un acierto.

Ha sido una gran experiencia visitar el Coliseo, el Foro Romano y el Monte Palatino. Pero ha sido aún mejor tener una guía como Romina, que explicó todo muy bien y respondía a todas las preguntas (que no eran pocas) que iban surgiendo, con apoyo de imágenes y dibujos. Recomendado 100%.

This was a very informative tour. Our Guide Humi was excellent and provided a lot of information about the different areas on our tour. Humi thought about the group enabling us to sit where possible and found shade which was a big help at this time of day. We recommend this tour.

La guia muy bien, con mucho conocimiento del tema. Muy bien no tener que hacer colas. Lo que no está tan bien es que a la hora de reservar, te indican como gancho que será grupo reducido...y fuimos un grupo de 30 personas. Creo que de reducido tiene poco.

Went on their Colosseum and Ancient Rome tour. Tour lasted about 3 hours. Our guide, Rogoleo, was very knowledgeable and able to answer everyone’s questions. He did an excellent job of keeping the group together, not an easy task. Would highly recommend.

Hablo solo del tour que realice al coliseo Romano foro y palatino! La guía llegó tarde, nos hizo correr sin importar q había una señora de 80 años, no nos dio espacio para las fotos, no estaba atenta al grupo, la verdad no la recomiendo …

Cogimos el Tour arena de coliseo, palatinos y foro Romano. Nuestro guía fue el gran Andrea, un guía súper majo y muy cercano, estuvimos con un grupo muy reducido y al final fue como una visita personalizada. Encantados con la experiencia.

Our tour guide George was amazing. Very knowledgeable. We did a tour with Show Me Italy of the Forum, Palatine Hill and the Colosseum. George was very conscious of the group and gave us time to rest in the heat. Highly recommend.
