Getting worse and worse. We have been going to Animal Kind for over a decade and the front desk staff was never great, but recently it has been very sloppy. We needed to get signed copies of our dogs two most recent rabies certificates because we are moving abroad. They said they sent them. We did not get them. We called again asked to send again. They sent one. We had to go there to actually explain in person and pick it up. While there, we asked to pick up heartworm preventative. Our dog has been on it consistently, ad we were told we'd need to do an annual exam. We were just there a few months ago, and we need to do an exam for heart worm treatment? Besides that, last appointment they actually tried to cancel on us saying the dr was out. What a meteoric mess this place has become. Last summer I tried to bring my dog in for an emergency appointment because he could not walk--he hurt his paw--and they actually took a vaccine appointment ahead of us as an emergency and denied us an appointment. It was very upsetting because the dog literally could not walk and we had to find another vet to take him. Which they did. During our last appointment the vet was reading our dogs chart and his diagnosis MVD like it was new. Dr. Jaffe had diagnosed him years ago. She was in an out of the exam taking urgent calls. This is not conducive to positive ongoing care for our dog, who has a very serious pre-existing condition. With this last interaction we just said, "that's it."

I cannot recommend Animal Kind and Dr. Cherrone highly enough. My beloved dog Mila recently underwent a Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) surgery at their facility, and the entire experience was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for by the entire team. Dr. Cherrone's expertise and attention to detail were outstanding. She explained the procedure thoroughly, listened to all our concerns, and provided us with regular updates throughout the surgery. We felt confident that Mila was in excellent hands. After the surgery, the entire staff went above and beyond to make sure Mila was comfortable and had everything she needed for a smooth recovery. They provided us with detailed instructions on post-operative care and were always available to answer our questions. Mila is now on her way to recovery, and we are grateful for the exceptional care she received at Animal Kind. I cannot thank Dr. Cherrone and her team enough for their kindness, expertise, and compassion. They truly went above and beyond to ensure Mila's well-being. If you're looking for a veterinary practice that provides exceptional care and attention to your furry family members, look no further than Animal Kind and Dr. Cherrone. Five stars all around!

I have been coming here for few years with different pets. The doctors are pretty knowledgeable. The cost is not bad in comparison to other places. Staff is friendly. Was somewhat disappointed lately though. Everything was fine when I was at the hospital but once I had to deal with them over the phone requesting some records it turned into an ordeal. I had to call 5 times to have my pet invoices email to me which I needed. I was met with extreme rudeness from the different people who pick up the phone, like it was my fault they have not sent me what I needed. This is really leaving a bad taste and it ruins my impression of how this place is being run and the fact this seems to be acceptable behavior in how to treat customers who have just spend so much money on pet care. No apologies were offered or any remorse shown. I have always recommended this hospital to my friends but after this experience I doubt I will in the future. I still feel that for most part the doctors are caring and knowledgeable. But something needs to be done about these girls who pick up the phone. Please send them for some badly needed Customer Service training as this could be lethal to your business.

Dr Black, who unfortunately doesn’t practice anymore at this hospital, saved my cat’s life in April 2020 when the COVID freaked everyone out. I forever thank Dr Black for operating the surgery on my cat. Here are the things to note if you want to give this hospital a try: This hospital has an over night care. My cat was healing well under watch for a night before returning back to me after the surgery. I agree other reviewers mentioning that the receptionist could be more professionally friendly and efficient. But I was actually grateful that they accepted me and my cat when I needed help, and understood my not-so-perfect English. Keep a low expectation and actively follow up with the receptionist, you should be fine. They request payment upfront and don’t have room for payment plan. The cost is lower than 24 hour emergency hospitals. They have nasal vaccine option if injection site tumor is your concern. They also have 3 year Purevax. Two long term doctors left this hospital in 2021 including my favorite Dr Black.

I have nothing but good things to say about Animal Kind. After a bad experience with another vet in the area, I had not found a new place for my cat. However, she became ill this past week. Animal Kind took me in as a new client and continued to impress me. I dropped my cat off for her first appointment at 5:20 pm and she ended up having to be admitted to the hospital there. I figured after leaving I would not hear anything from them until the next morning, but Dr. Schechter stayed late that evening to care for my cat. She called me through the evening to keep me posted as test results came back. The latest update being almost 9 pm! It was so nice of her to stay that late that night. I was so so thankful and at ease knowing my cat was in good hands and they knew how worried id be not knowing anything until the next day. Very impressed with Animal Kind and highly recommend them! I’m so glad it’s where I chose to take my cat. I’ve found my new vet!

We’ve generally had good experiences with the doctors at Animal Kind for our cat who we’ve been bringing there for 4 years. However the interactions with reception have been hit or miss lately - some have been very pleasant and positive, while others have been very rude and unhelpful. One woman in particular has been very short and unfriendly on multiple occasions, which has been very frustrating to deal when dealing with our cat’s emergency. Our recent visit was also frustrating because after being told by one vet that our cat would very like need surgery and that she’d call back later to schedule a date for the surgery, we were later called by a different vet and told that our cat would not need surgery yet. Thankfully our cat is doing well now and the vets did what was best for him, but this incident was confusing and upsetting

We had our cat visit Animal Kind last Saturday since he had lost weight and was eating much less; he was diagnosed with a hight fever so blood work was done. We asked that antibiotics be prescribed but the vet refused stating the cat needed an ultrasound and many other tests before they could do antibiotics. They felt we needed to wait for the blood work to come back before treating him. We took him to another vet where he was diagnosed with pneumonia and was immediately administered antibiotics which saved his life. There is a trend of inflating the bill by recommending nonessential procedures, tests and treatments. This has been our experience multiple times with Animal Kind. I was prompted to write this review today after a potential adopter of ours expressed to me this morning of facing similar issues with Animal Kind.

Absolutely horrendous and unprofessional The vets and the techs are not in the same page. Was it a crime to ask for a detailed invoice of what came up to $500 and is it ok to keep my card on file take half today and half tomorrow till I get my invoice and my blood work results??? the receptionist desk person is rude and threatening me to pull my cats blood work out if she doesn’t get paid in full. Hard to believe the doctor doesn’t hear her receptionist talk to us like that and she’s ok with it these guys are still in business. Do your pet a favor and DO NOT USE THIS VET SERVICE unless the receptionist takes classes on how to talk by the way there is training courses that can help your employees to better communicate with your customers, ...WE LIVE IN USA not third world country with uncivilized human beings

We saw Dr. Witherell today. She is also terrific. She is patient, knowledgeable, incredibly sympathetic. She treated our senior mini poodle with issues so kindly and tenderly. We feel very fortunate that she is Luna's doctor. Just saw Dr. Frydenborg, she is terrific. She is so good with our frightened poodle, Luna. She is kind, lucid, and very understanding (of both people and pets). Dr. Frydrnborg left the practice. We now "see" Dr. Witherell. Though we've had several appointments, I haven't met her yet.. But I like her a lot, very responsive, very patient, very knowledgeable. The staff is also good, I have spoken to Daniel several times and he has been v helpful. Dr. Frydenborg has left We saw Dr Witherell. She is also great. Staff v helpful. Dr. Witherell is great! Just hard to get an appointment.

I have received excellent care in the past from Dr. Witherell, Dr. Williford, and Dr. Schoenhut (no longer with the practice), but the office staff is terrible. I have to fight with them to schedule appointments, call back multiple times just to speak to someone to schedule a procedure. This last time was what made me decide to leave. I have called 5 times over the last few weeks and left messages for the office manager who schedules procedures. My cat needs a dental and I was inquiring about getting a sedated groom at the same time since he will already be anesthetized. Not one of my messages have been returned. This type of situation is typical now at Animal Kind. I understand they are understaffed and appointments are booked out for a while but you can't return messages to schedule them?

I had the pleasure to be an intern of Dr Witherell while I was in high school but unfortunately, the pandemic cut our time short. However, we kept contact and it’s been the best outcome of my time there. She’s just absolutely amazing and caring, makes me feel safe and less anxious and works with my pets needs. I have a reactive dog and Dr Witherell always makes sure that we feel comfortable. Always keeps me in the loop with what is going on with my pet and just overall a great doctor to trust. I live in Manhattan but that doesn’t stop me from making the trip all the way to Brooklyn just so I can keep treating my pet here and with her. AK is so accommodating and you can tell they care about their costumers. You can completely trust in them to take care of your pets. ❤️

I love the vets here for my animals. We went here for 2 years, but unfortunately I have to find a new vet due to poor office service. What the vets say is necessary for my dog at visits and then the office staff says (literally months later) is vastly different, and the office staff has no service skills to verify this information or let the customer talk to the Vet. And office policies changed while I was there about filling medications as well which just shows their administrative services’ heart is no longer in the right place or in the best interest for the animal. Happened multiple times in the past year and really cannot keep putting money into this business for my senior adopted and foster animals any further.

My most recent visit was met with professionalism and good customer service. The issue I had was the fact that I could not be with my anxiety ridden cat during the visit because of their COVID-19 policies. I had to stay outside once I handed my cat over to them. I was surprised and dismayed at this. I do understand that they do not want to have a waiting room full of people, but I take my daughter to the MD and dentist and one parent is allowed in with her. I would hope going forward that they can allow one person in with the pet, check their temperature, and walk them directly back to the exam room. Not being able to be with your pet, makes it a stressful situation for the pet and the owner.

Our visit was perfect. The doctor called us to get more information, she was very kind and shared lots of details about what she wanted to look into to help my dog, my baby. She provided details on the cost of everything they wanted to do, to pin point exactly what was happening with his symptoms. She explained the x-ray and how they would try their best to get it done, but her ultimate goal was to ensure my dog was comfortable and not forced to do anything he wasn't ready for or couldn't handle. I was beyond happy and comfortable with everything happening. I have been with Animal Kind for a while and love the customer service and the doctors. They are always loving and gentle. Thank You!

I recently brought my dog to Animal Kind for the first time. They were kind and helpful on the phone and had a decent amount of availability. I loved that I barely had to wait in the room and that the actual vet was helping me the whole time. They were really thorough and took their time to make sure that my dog was all set up with vaccines, preventatives, advice on behavioral issues etc. even though I was just coming in to get an ear infection checked out. Also, the staff was great about my dog who's quite leash reactive toward other dogs. They helped me get in and out of lobby/street with limited stress and barking. Looking forward to coming back for regular care!

Animal Kind is a wonderful vet clinic. They were my primary vet for both of my current cats for several years -- and then another neighborhood clinic opened up literally across the street from my apartment in South Slope, so I transferred to the other practice. This past Monday, for whatever reason, my new, regular vet across the street from me was closed and my cat was having a health issue. Animal Kind fit me in when another patient cancelled, and they did a very caring job of taking care of my cat, who needed to stay overnight for fluids and observation. I can only say positive things about my several years of cumulative experiences with Animal Kind!

Prime example of too many patients. Staff has lost compassion. Said they ran tests for tick born illnesses. Either they did not run it or did not give me the results because I got a second test at a different vet (5days later)and she was positive for Lyme. Also had to hound them for the results of a test on a tumor. Even though the results were cancerous, there was no urgency to let me know. They simply do not care. Your pet is just a number. And the pricing is high but that is a problem in Brooklyn as a whole. I took my pup to Jersey and not only did they take the time to talk to me but I paid 1200 for a procedure that animal kind quoted me 4K.

This was my first vet experience since moving to Brooklyn and I am very happy to say that I have found the right vet for my dogs. Cameo (pictured) had a bit of a skin infection from a bug bite and was also due for vaccinations. Dr. Morika Ogawa was absolutely kind and cognizant of any temperament issues that could have occurred during the checkup and vaccinations. After assessing her infection, she explained that some medicated wipes were all that were needed to clear her skin. I plan on bringing my other dog, Aspen, next week for her vaccinations and hope Dr. Morika Ogawa is able to treat her as well. Thank you for a lovely experience!

First off let me say, I’ve been going to Animal Kind for a while now and I hate that it took me this long to review them. They are AMAZING. I have a Persian cat who is very shy and timid. She needs regular hair cuts as her fur gets matted. I’ve taken her to other vets/groomers who INSISTED she needed to be sedated. When I first went to Animal Kind I let them know Puff (my cat) may need to be sedated as that was the case with the previous groomers. Once she was done they called and let me know there was no need for sedation! She did amazing!! I absolutely love Animal Kind. They are amazing in every aspect. Thanks guys!! - Melisa & Puff

Last year, they recommended that we have our cat's teeth cleaned. The vet ordered blood work and a stool sample and told us that we were put on the waiting list. Not only were we never given the results of these tests, but we were also unable to reach any of the vets on multiple occasions throughout the year to schedule the cleaning. We brought our cat back for her annual today and the vet told us that not only were we not put on the waiting list in the first place, but now our cat needs three teeth extracted, perhaps more. Last year, she only needed a cleaning. These tooth extractions are entirely due to their medical negligence.

Dr Jaffe and his staff are always great with my high energy/special needs boy, but my other buddy had a tragic end recently and Dr Jaffe was straightforward, honest, and didn’t make me feel bad that I didn’t want to put my guy through more than was necessary. THEN they got me in for an emergency catheter to make my buddy a little more comfortable before the inevitable, making it possible to say our goodbyes and have a home euthanasia. I am so grateful to him, and all the staff, for taking such good care of us. I love our relationship with this vet and will keep driving from Wburg to keep our other dog taken care of.

With a new puppy, of course it’s necessary to have qualified veterinary care. Animal Kind has been great to have, and it helps that they are nearby. We recently took our pup in for a cut on his nose. They were able to get us in, without an appointment, within the hour. They checked out his cut, explained what was going on, and provided a topical antibiotic for him. It seems simple, but that’s because they made they process very simple, and provided a definite ease of mind for us. It was not just the care that they provided, that we appreciated most, it was the communication, and customer service.

I brought my dog in for a procedure and they burned her. They also took responsibility but now my dog’s hair hasn’t grown back in that area. I’ve been coming here a long time but seems like finding a good vet is hard. I’ve looked into other vets and they all have bad reviews. Pets in nyc are considered property so the lawyer would cost more than what the courts would award me for the pain and suffering. I think my dog should be treated for free for the rest of her life. I don’t trust bringing her here anymore. Also, they charged for some creams when they were the ones that burned her.

I have been a client of Animal Kind Veterinary Hospital for five years. They are not local to me, so I need to take transportation to get to them. I say this because they are just that good. From the first call to schedule your appointment, to being greeted by front desk staff, to the Veterinary Assistants, you feel heard and understood. I don't have a particular doctor that I see, because each of them have given me the same level of professionalism but also comfort - the care I have received for my family is beyond compare. I highly recommend Animal Kind Veterinary Hospital.

I’ve used Animal Kind since 2016 and I’ve never had a bad experience here. I first started using them back when I found my kitten, Snowball on the street and they were the only vet open at that moment. I’ve used them ever since, even though I don’t live in Park Slope. They have always been worth the extra miles. This week was my first time needing them for a ‘medical emergency’ and not just an annual wellness visit. They made a stressful situation easier to handle and took great care of my other cat, Otto. And the front desk is ALWAYS wonderful to deal with as well.

I've been going to this vet for 8+ years. I really have to commend how they've handled the pandemic. They remain compassionate veterinarians and hospital staff. You hope that you only ever to bring in your animals for their annual visits and they'll always be healthy, but I've unfortunately had to have a few emergency visits to them over the last two years. They have always been fairly responsive (though I do have the occasional issue of being on hold for a very long time or being hung up on by accident) but I've always been pleased with their service.

I can not say enough about the quality of care my yorkie Lea receives from Animal Kind. I called and got an appointment the same day, I drove 70 miles from Southern NJ. I can’t find a vet in my area that can give the quality care that I trust and I know that my baby is receiving the best treatment. They give you a f/u call to check on your pet after a day. The staff is amazing from the front desk, to the assistant to the Vet (I forgot her name), I highly recommend!! Love this place! Thank you for taking care of my baby on short notice!

I went to Animal Kind for 15 years for my two cats and a dog. The vets are kind, realistic, respectful in regards to cost (not sure about all these comments about only wanting money - I have seen many vets at Animal Kind over the years and never felt that). They definitely went through phases with the front desk customer service being iffy, but now you can just email them and they respond quickly. I am moving to NJ, and wanted to leave a note of thanks for the years of wonderful service. Do not shy from coming to from Animal Kind.

Truly wonderful vets and staff that are kind and compassionate. We had a very tough situation with our senior dog during the Covid-19 shutdown and they were absolutely wonderful and helpful every step of the way. The small touches after, such as a handwritten card and a donation in my dog's name, meant the world to me and they will forever be our vets. Even in non-emergencies, they follow up with a phone call and are always willing to explain our options. I'd recommend them to anybody, they've never let my family down.

We absolutely love Animal Kind. But do you know what matters way more than that? Our dogs LOVE Animal Kind. The staff—the ENTIRE STAFF—is so friendly and professional and kind to our dogs. Everything from major leg surgery down to the smallest checkup appointment, our dogs are comfortable and cared for. We’ve also been able to call them with questions and concerns. Animal Kind Hospital just feels like a huge safety net for our dogs and we are so lucky to have this incredible staff here to care for them.

Everyone from the front desk to the techs to the pharmacy and especially the doctor are just amazing. My cat was sick and I was comforted and reassured. I had my very rambunctious little girl with me and everyone was so patient and kind with her. Dr. Podgorska even let her listen to our cat’s heartbeat, which made her day. They really took care of us, and they have great hours. I also think it’s worth mentioning that the facility doesn’t *smell* like a typical vet clinic. Super clean. HIGHLY recommend!

My terrier Lola and I LOVE Animal Kind and Dr. Sarah S! We were referred here when I was going to travel internationally and needed to take my dog with me. The service was great and the turnaround for the international certifications and vaccinations so fast! Other Vets told me it would take days to a month to get the documents. But animal kind told me exactly what I needed and we were able to get my doggie certified in a day. Super grateful for them. And happy my doggie can join me abroad ❤️❤️

Simba accidentally got out of our fenced backyard and my husband saw him get hit by a car, roll over and run off. He was missing for 30 hours on a cold night and we were frantic. When he was finally found--miraculously, unhurt!--we rushed him to Animal Kind during the emergency hours. He could not have been treated more kindly. Except for some sore paw pads and a tiny cough, he was fine. We got a very nice follow-up call the next day to make sure he was okay. The practice still earns the five stars!

It's ironic how unkind my dog and I were treated at this vet. Their website lists "emergency and critical care" as one of their services. I walk in on Saturday with my dog in my arms, and I tell the front desk person that we're not existing patients but that my dog is sick, needs care, and that my regular vet is closed on Saturdays. Their response: "Sorry, we're not accepting new patients." That's it. They didn't ask what was wrong my dog. They didn't look to see if they could "squeeze" us in. Sad.

Had a wonderful first visit here for my new pup. The staff was kind, they were running on schedule, and Dr. Mudeliar was collaborative, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. She suggested fewer medical interventions and a wait-and-see approach for minor issues to ensure no unintended side effects, which I appreciated. I bought a case of food which they offered to exchange if my pup didn't like it (he didn't, and they exchanged the uneaten cans for a food he likes). Will definitely be back!

Our family has taken our dogs to Animal Kind for over 15 years. Dr. Gibson and his wonderful staff have delivered loving and talented care to our pets. We have always been happy with all of the doctors we have known there .When our first dog was nearing the end of her life, and we struggled with how to make her comfortable for as long as possible Dr. Gibson very gingerly guided us through this process . Don't ever hesitate to take your pets to Animal Kind. We wholeheartedly recommend them!

we have been going to this clinic for years, and have always had a good experience. We like that there are a number of skilled providers we can work with if getting in is a priority, but have also forged longer term relationships with individual practitioners when more dedicated care for a pet was necessary. We are on our 8th pet at this practice (they are not all alive at the moment, we have our limits!), and we've never once lived in the neighborhood--it's always been a commute for us!

My fiance and I recently took in an abandoned Chihuahua. We've never had a dog before and had been to two vets before trying Animal Kind. She was seen by Dr. Black who spent a half hour on the phone with me during her busy day to explain all her findings and answer all the questions I had about our pup. It was the most thorough exam and best priced vet we've been to yet. Animal Kind will definitely be our go-to veterinary hospital from now on. I recommend this place to everyone!

This place only cares about money. I brought my 16 year cat there today that hasn't eaten for four days and they refused to treat her unless I paid the total $400 dollars up front. I tried to make an agreement to pay $200 dollars today and the balance on Tuesday but the manager very rudely and unsympathetically said absolutely not. After taking my pets here for the past ten years I'm looking for a new place.. By the way their veterinarians were either great or just awful.

Good grief I'm glad we found such a great vet so quickly here in Brooklyn. Having just moved from Oklahoma earlier this month we're new to NYC and the veterinarian who met with us was very helpful with some basic tips for adjusting to such a new environment. The staff was kind, helpful, and the office and examination rooms were very clean. The vet who saw us took the time to connect with both me and my dog and was more than willing to hear us out and answer questions.

I live in Staten Island and I still make the trip to Brooklyn for this Veterinarian office. They are warm, welcoming and I’ve been bringing my cat here for almost 10 years. If I had questions or concerns (my cat has kidney disease) the doctors are kind and try to problem solve what’s going on with our fur baby kitty. Animal Kind provides great care and hours that are really flexible. We originally started seeing Dr. Morehead (who was incredible) and then Dr. Black - both of whom have a calm, soothing demeanor. I've always felt that my dog is in good hands there. When my dog recently experienced a bad reaction to a shot (upset stomach, nothing serious), Dr Black called me immediately and was great about following up. I’ve been taking my two doodles to Animal Kind and have been very happy with the team there. Very kind, nice, professional and very patient with answering ALL of my questions. I never feel rushed during our appointments and they have been great about accommodating small emergencies (thankfully we have not had major emergencies!). Animal kind has always gone above and beyond for my pups. When I had an emergency they made time for me to bring my pup in to be seen. They are every thorough and you will know exactly what you need. The doctors called me frequently while my pup stayed overnight for his situation but I never felt worried or as though I was left in the dark. Animal Kind is now a 30 minute walk from me but I will make the effort to go back since the service was so great.

Dr. Witherell and the staff at the Animal Kind Veterinary Hospital were thorough, friendly and professional. I recently adopted Mary (my dog) from a local animal shelter and I understand she is from the country in Arkansas. She is getting acclimatize to the NYC noise but still quite nervious. Dr. Witherell and the staff made Mays’ visit very comfortable which put me at ease. I am thrilled to have a caring knowledgeable Veterinary that I can count on.

I love this place! I’ve moved to Manhattan I still commute to this office in park slope. The staff is SO patient and friendly with my very skittish dog and I’ve seen multiple vets here who are all very kind and knowledgeable. They’re very reachable over phone/email and even helped me manage an injury my dog had to his paw while I was out of town. Wait times in the office are also short. If you don’t know where to take your pets, take them here :)

I have been bringing my cat here since adopting him as a kitten one year ago. Initially, he was quite sick when he came from the shelter and I believe that Dr. Nandini and her colleagues at Animal Kind saved his life one year ago. They continue to provide wonderful follow up care. I’ve never had a bad experience here, and I find the prices reasonable in comparison to other vets I’ve used in the NYC area. My dog was attacked by another dog while on leash. The staff and doctors were awesome. They gave my 15 year old fur baby excellent care. He is up and walking and is healing very well. This is a new current review: I took our other dog for her annual lab work and follow up for her allergies. Dr. Jaffe was wonderful he answered all of our questions and concerns. He also gave us some suggestions on how to help keep her weight under control.

During our recent, annual visit this week, Dr. Scheonhut examined my cat. She took her time and was so calming and soothing. Dr. Scheonhut examined her from head to toe, and was so gentle. As soon as she came into the room and spoke, my cat recognized her voice (she performed a procedure on her last year). The office is always clean, and the entire staff is friendly. The owner of Prospect Bark referred us and the front desk found a spot for us to come in the same day. The vets here are direct and understanding about goals of care. My dog had a seizure and it was very hard to leave him during this hard time but the staff were professional and helped us feel ok every step of the way. Dr Black called us several times to give us updates and discuss options with us. We have also had excellent experiences with Dr Jaffe. Everyone is wonderful, kind, and treats people and animals with respect.

We were a walk-in without appointment for our pup who had sudden limping. Staff were courteous and explained we would need to wait for a break between scheduled appointments. Doctor was kind and thorough; we waited about 90 minutes to be seen which didn't seem bad considering we did not have an appointment. Charge was about $200 without pet health insurance which seems pretty standard for this area. Positive experience!

I have been going to Animal Kind before this, but this is the first visit I had during covid. I was worried because it was the first visit with our new kitten and I couldn't go inside with her. I was called during the exam and talked to the vet about all my issues and concerns and felt like I didn't miss out on anything. They were attentive and prompt and it went even better than I hoped. I am very grateful for that.

We have used Animal Kind for care for our cats for the past 4 years, and have seen a number of the vets. Very pleased with the care they’ve received from the doctors, nurses and vet techs. Estimates are provided and prices for services are clearly explained. Recently had dental procedures done, and really appreciated the time they spent before and after explaining the procedures, and what to expect during recovery.

The vets are great and friendly however their scheduling policy is horrendous. If you show up more than 10 minutes after your appointment they make you reschedule, no if’s and’s or but’s. They don’t mind making you wait though. I’ve waited 15+ minutes (sometimes over 30) on multiple occasions after arriving for our appointment. No apology or explanation. Less inclined to come back here because of this.

The receptionist and intern/secondary doc were great. The primary doctor was great medically, but she was incredibly rude to me as my dog’s human. If she has a social disorder, I apologize, but she was incredibly rude. She told me to leave the room, instead of asking me (the intention was fine-it was so my dog behaved better getting shots), she also huffed and puffed over my answers to her questions.

They were very professional, had great communication, and gave us all the options and explanations to make sure that we understood the situation and the care our cat required. Animal Kind is an excellent Animal Hospital. The most experienced vet there is Dr. Michelle Werner. She is meticulous, extremely experienced, smart, and caring; she knows my 5 cats so well and all their histories, she rarely needs to consult their records... she is so popular, and well loved it is difficult to get an appointment with her so schedule early. You will be very happy you did.

Amazing vets and vet assistants but I can’t help but take away 2 stars for the attitude at the front desk. I was genuinely perturbed by the curt responses to the point that I am considering switching my designated hospitals. It feels like I cannot get optimal care due to the woman at the front which is a shame since I’ve had nothing but good experiences since I’ve started coming here.

Animal Kind is my usual Vet but this time I brought my cat in due to an injury and Dr Witherell examined him, diagnosed a sprained hip and gave him medication. The staff was very helpful, kind and caring, as always, and Dr Witherell took excellent care of Mozzie. I have been taking my cats to Animal Kind for years and have never had a problem. I have always loved the care and treatment given to my cats and to myself. Every one on the staff is warm and easy to deal with. My only (minor) concern was that instead of an hour's wait it was closer to three. I realize that I was difficult to reach and this is perhaps the reason I had to ask.
