I wish I could give this place zero stars. I don’t understand where all these positive reviews are coming from. I went here once with my two cats, a new kitten and my 1.5 yr old. We had to wait more than an hour after our apportionment to be seen in the car for safety. The office and waiting area are Very small and there were a lot of huge dogs in the waiting area and waiting on the sidewalk. When we were finally seen the vet barely examined both of my cats. They wrapped my 1.5 yr old in the dirtiest oldest towel I have ever seen to exam her ears. The vet was frustrated because she was hissing and growling obviously because she was scared and uncomfortable.. rightfully so with people mishandling her and dogs barking so close by. He quickly lost his patience and decided he couldn’t examine her unless she was SEDATED. I quickly got my cats out of there. For the vet to do absolutely NOTHING I had to pay well over $300. They didn’t even give them a proper exam or vaccines or anything. They also never even gave me the results of the feces sample they asked me to bring. DO NOT GO HERE ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE CATS. You are just asking to waste your money, time and for the worst day of your life for both you and your pets.

Taken my cats here a couple times and accepting walk ins that push back times of people with appointments needs to be figured out. When I was finally seen, I insisted my cat gnawing off all his fur with flakey scabbing skin was not normal. I was told he’s just stressed and dismissed. Again I went as I know my cat and what stress looks like. After being told the same thing by a different vet told to buy diffusers with pheromones, I went to another clinic where they would take the time to run the appropriate tests. My cat had mange. Another time I was turned away after waiting for more than three hours was because the new vet there (as I was informed by the front desk, and the only vet there that day) just wouldn’t see my cat. Already unsettled by the “please keep quiet as someone is saying goodbye to their pet”, or something along those lines, on a light up sign in the waiting room turn on a couple times while we were waiting, I left and never came back. I care about my cats health. I wouldn’t go here for anything more than routine vaccinations. Forget about illness..

My daughter and I were very pleased to come across this Vet facility to have our Rottweiler seen and though we didn’t have an appt and the office was closed at the time they manage to ask questions regarding Shadows health, We explained his health condition and after listening the Vet. himself gave us his diagnosis and told us what meds we should purchase OTC at any pet store w/o seeing him or asking to make an appt, that shows me his LOVE and CONCERN for animals. Since Shadow needed his annual check up I decided to make an appt and We have no regrets. The Vet. could have taken advantage and ordered x-rays and blood work but he didn’t his diagnosis were the same before the appt. I can compare the care of this clinic to the one on 63rd/64th on 2nd Ave. AWESOME! The staffs are polite and professional. This is our new place to go and I pray it doesn’t change.

The team at this clinic are very extraordinarily. The whole staff was welcoming and helpful from the moment I called to make an appointment for my sick cat, until I left the clinic after he was treated. Alissa at the front desk was overwhelmed but still helpful and attentive. Someone was always making sure everyone was taken care of. They offer coffee, tea and hot Cocoa free of charge while you wait. The examination room was sterile but welcoming. Vincent did the initial check up of my cat and he was attentive and he listened. That's important. Dr. Robert made some great suggestions after the check up and Vincent helped me choose the best option that was in my budget. He also found a discount for me. I really appreciate the staff at this clinic for their professionalism, attention, and friendly disposition.

I went in as a walk-in for my dog, Auggie, who had a lot of difficulties with dry skin. I walked in I was greeted very warmly and welcoming. My walk in appointment was at 10:30 AM. I was seen at 10:00 AM. My vet assistant Hector who was taken care of Auggie. Was very gentle and caring to both of us. I really appreciated him, asking me questions that I had to really think about it and give him very clear answers. Auggie was a little bit hesitant with Hector. But after about 15 minutes really started to like Hector a lot even after being muzzled. I actually really liked his personality with dogs his caring and his professionalism was outstanding highly recommend seeing Hector. I also recommend going to Bronx veterinary center on Westchester Square

They're very nice and welcoming, it's my first time being there. The front desk informed me about what vacation Luna has to receive, while the vet assistant gave papers with more information on what it is and what to look out for, etc. The waiting wasn't long it was very quick. They loved Luna and treated her with care. When she had to take the vaccine they gave her a nice treat, while the doctor gave her the shot, she didn't even flich or cry. If anyone is wondering how expensive or affordable, this clinic is, I don't have any experience with a price range with other vet clinics, so I can't speak from that, but if you are wondering everything came out to be $88 for a 2nd kitten shot (FVRCP 2nd) + Fecal Centrifuge O&p test.

My Boy was having problems raising his Tail and I Was scared, so I started looking for a vet close by and I find Bronx Vet of Westchester Square. Very Small place and packed when we got there But they move fast and pleasant at the same time! Very nice staff, clean, lovely fish tank, great location, dr was fast, thorough, Not very friendly but I didn’t come to make friends, I came to have my boy looked at, prices were a lil high but not shocking, vets are very expensive! I Love the place and would suggest it to family and friends, Thank You, Merry Christmas! Oh, there was One thing, ya’ll got my name Wrong! I’ll be calling to correct it on Tuesday, lol

Made a appointment with ease. Brought my 10 year old bulldog in for a check up and was treated so nicely by the receptionist. Our vet tech was Vincent and he was the best. The vet came in spoken to us and looked over our dog. Told us exactly what was going to be done and how much it was going to cost which i loved. We waited not long for the results and was given some bad news with such care and empathy. We was given multiple choices to decide on with the prices that it will possibly cost.. I appreciate being able to have those choices rather than hey this is wants going on and have a good day.. I will definitely return here and recommend others to do so.

We have been visiting BVC for years now and appreciate that our fur baby is taken care of so well each time. Today, we had a visit with Dr. Kolbert (and his amazing Vet tech, Kat), and it was so refreshing to be able to ask all of our questions and receive thorough, informed advice. He did not get annoyed with us or rush us. He listened to our concerns and provided a plan of action for us to try. The staff is always friendly at the Westchester Sq location (from FOH to BOH) and they treat our baby with such love and care. After all, bedside manner is very important for pets too! Thanks BVC for taking great care of our baby.

Depending on the day and time some times there’s a bit of a wait. However, the staff is really nice and informative. The receptionist up front was very helpful and explained my pets treatment options. I also noticed she was very kind and helpful to her coworkers. Our technician, Vincent, was awesome! Our dog, Mochi loved him! He was really helpful, explained everything literally from top to bottom. He expressed to the vet our concerns and was very kind towards our gentle giant. The vet was very understanding of our concerns and gave us different options for treatment. Very happy that he took our concerns seriously.

From the moment I entered I was made to feel incredibly comfortable. I just mouthed by baby's name to one of the young ladies at the front desk and she took us right in (Thank u!). I never got to personally thank her for doing so. Kat, (hopefully spelled it correctly), was exceptional from the beginning to the end. She has a very soothing, calm demeanor, explained the process in detail, was very patient and gave us plenty of time with our Mommas. Thank you to the pleasant young ladies and the wonderful Dr for making the last moment with our Mommas as comfortable as it possibly could be.

Hi My cat Buddy was seen June 29th2023 He is a15yr old male and in need of a check up..This was my 2nd time. What a great place to bring your pet. The front desk employees are very nice and so pleasant i never feel rushed they have a good knowledge of what you are paying for ..The vets a assistant was friendly and told me what to expect from the doctor.I felt comfortable. The doctor was very nice and explained everything to me. The center is very professional and we are very lucky to have the clinic in our neighborhood.. Thank You all

The workers here are so nice and accommodating! they took great care of fur babies. I took my cat mango here recently bc he had a bacterial infection on his skin, they handled him with so much love and care and were smothering my mango with cuddles and pats:) I also love how they handled my other cat rosabell:) she can get a bit panicky at times but they were so gentle and loving with her during her checkup! I loved everyone who took care of my babies during their visits, definitely bring your pets here! the workers are amazing!

Came in as an emergency visit for my puppy. They were the only vet clinic around the area willing to take me in as a walk-in. The wait was about 35 minutes which was understandable. Not complaining-once in we were seen about 5 mins after. Front desk was welcoming and pleasant. Staff was very attentive to my puppies needs and handled her with the upmost love and care. This vet won me over as her continuing veterinarian for my fur baby. Thank you for accommodating our needs last minute. Great service!

BVC of Westchester Sq made my cat Tiger's End of Life care really humane. He was 18 yo, suffering from Kidney & arthritis in his rear legs paws. The Dr & office here were able to help my Tiger have a restful last sleep on his way to kitty heaven. I rcv'd a mold of his front paws & 2x patches of his furr. He was def part of the family & we wouldn't let him go any other way. We'll receive his ashes in a few days. Thanks for all the memories Ty-Ty!! God Bless you & stay forever happy!!

It’s always a great experience at the Bronx Veterinary Center at Westchester Square. Yesterday afternoon, I brought my senior cat, Alexandre, for a check-up and was helped by Kat and Hector. Although it’s always busy with many dogs and cats waiting to be seen, both were super helpful and kind and helped my nervous cat feel at ease. And Dr. Yorst is knowledgeable and patient as well. The receptionists were also wonderful and sweet! Thank you so much for caring for my baby!

These place is super chill. Staff are courteous & friendly. Awesome with the handing & care of my pitbull. Especially appreciate the person who came outside to cut her nails in the car because my dog is a senior & it's difficult for her to get in & out the vehicle. He was very careful & nice to my dog & me. (Attentive to all their clients from what I've seen on several visits) The medical care given overall is great. Nice place! Thank you Dr.s & all staff.

Love the staff they are amazing.Prices are reasonable. They never go ahead to do a procedure or anything without giving the price which is great who wants to go somewhere where you are not aware of what your paying for. I absolutely love the vets their always so thorough, gentle and caring. I appreciate that the front desk ladies give a courtesy call the next day after your fur baby is seen. I have been taking my pets here for over 5 years. I like the veterinarian assistants more than the actual vet. Hector was amazing, he answered more questions than the doctor himself. All he did was give a half diagnose and left the room to attend someone else. I understand he was the only doctor there but I feel maybe more doctors should be at the location and there wouldn’t be such a long wait even when you already have an appt.

I have been with Bronx Vet since 2017, this was my first time going to their Westchester Location, I was hesitant but the staff there matched the energy from Webster and made Maxine and Gregory (found out Greg was a boy! Thought he was a she!) both super comfortable! Prices as always were affordable! Under $300.00 for shots, check up and medicine! Kat was amazing and Dr. Kolbert were fast and super kind! Take your fur babes!

I love this place. Everyone is so kind and gentle. Sure, they get busy, but that just shows you how good their vets are. I, personally, have never had to wait much more than I have at other vets’ offices in the past. Also, the pricing here is much, MUCH better than I was previously paying in Mt. Vernon. I recommended this place to my mom & she was very pleased. This place will continue to be my go-to for all my fur babies.

Came to get my dog checked after he ate a foreign object. I called the number and luckily there was a slot open within a few mins. The only dislike was the wait time to see the vet, since there were so many other patients waiting. At least when we got to see the vet, he was very attentive and cared. The pricing is reasonable when compared to other emergency clinics so I would definitely come back again if needed.

Short wait In the morning. They list a lot of services that seems like they DONT provide. I had to go to the emergency vet in white plains bc this vet said my dog needs a specialist.. a lot of the services listed is what was done at the emergency vet... not a bad experience but felt like more couldve been done (given the listed services) ... my dog is good now tho so thank you if youve done all you could.

My baby diamond gets the best care there. Dr. Vyorst. Today on December 19 my baby got injured I called the office explained what happened. Right away they gave me an appointment. We went to the appointment. Our wait was a little over an hour. It definitely was not a bad wait. Like always she got the best care. All staff are professional and kind. Dr Vyorst is very knowledgeable and caring.

Excelent Service , first time coming here. I got there 5 minutes before the appointment and soon they were taking care my 2 babies Luna 5 months old and Teddy 5 yo. The nurses that assisted me were absolutely wonderful! very clean and organized, the Doctor was very fun and professional. They always ready to answer questions and help you. Very friendly and helpful staff. Long wait, but it was right after Christmas and New Year’s coming up. Vet tech was knowledgeable and kind. Dr. Katz is terrific; took the time needed for a diagnosis,, asked necessary questions as this was the first time I used the Bronx Veterinary Center. He is very experienced and kind. I will be back with the rest of my gang when I need a vet.

Decided to take my two year old dog there for a skin rash. I paid $65 dollars for the visit to which I was then provided with information regarding any additional testing available, medication or treatment and their prices. The medication was only 49 dollars and already my pup is much better. Very affordable location, vet seems knowledgable and staff is pretty straight forward.

My cat Fiasco is a very difficult cat when it comes to his annual veterinary visit. For many years other veterinarians would not welcome my Fiasco with open arms and at times Fiasco would be turned away. Today my Fiasco was finally taken care of with love and patience by vet assistant Kat, Dr. Kolbert, and technician Rachel. Fiasco has found his vet protectors!!!

Dr. Kolbert is an amazing veterinarian. The time spent with my fur baby and attempts to calm her down was with effort and good intentions. My husband is a hard sell with some things, but he was very pleased with the treatment received. My girl is always anxious - but after we left the vets office, home and she got on the couch. Each time Roxanne and I visit the Bronx veterinary center at Westchester Square, we’re treated with nothing but respect. Dr. Colbert is a very caring doctor and so was his assistant, Shay. The front desk receptionists were also friendly and personable. I highly recommend the Bronx veterinary center at Westchester Square for your fur babies.

The doctor and staff were so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. They didn’t recommend useless tests just to change more money. On the contrary the doctor got straight to the treatment with common sense medication and techniques. I’m so happy we finally have a wonderful doctor for our fur babies. I will happily drive 2 hours for vet visits.

Bronx Vet Center has been my vet of choice for years. First with our cat and now with our new puppy. Dr. Katz is very kind and clear when explaining things. Staff is incredibly friendly, like Hector who was our nurse during our last visit. He obviously loves animals because our dog trusted him immediately. Overall it’s a great place.

I was raised with dogs all my and this is my second dog. I personally have not ever been to the vet until yesterday. An this appointment was awesome. Everyone was kids and loving and everything is done in a timely manner. I was almost was ready for a check up myself.

Staffs are nice and professional, however, the prices are ridiculously expensive. I paid 130 just to see the Dr and wasn't able to afford any medications. I felt really ripped off because I could've taken that 130 and went to another vet and got everything done.

I love coming to Westchester Square veterinary center. It was very easy to get an appointment,and even though I was late I didn't have to wait long to be seen. The staff are very pleasant, and I can tell that they care about my Snickers .

This Dec. will be 2 years that this Vet clinic safe my dog's life. I am very grateful! Yesterday I took my dog Lucy cause she has been biting her paws. It allergy; got an injection hope it does the job. Blessings to the Doctor and team!

Terrible. I paid $500 to get my dog teeth cleaned, they extracted 7 teeth plus got medication for after the surgery. Went back this year and the same procedure now cost $2,300. That is ridiculous.

Great experience. Busy office but organized. Would recommend to any pet parent. Only downside is the parking. Meters do not take credit cards only cash or app which made it difficult.

While the service is excellent, the wait time, despite your appointment, is 30-60mins delayed. Hector, the vet tech was attentive and handled my Walker with care and gentleness.
