Our primary vet completely failed to advise us properly on an oral tumour so we frantically were looking for a practice that had the soonest availability for a biopsy to be referred to an oncologist. AMC was slightly far for us (we live in southeast) and according to reviews, slightly pricier than others but from the service we received, they were worth every penny. Outside of the entire staff being completely caring and responsive to an already stressful situation, the real gem is their nurse director, Dwynwen. Not only did she clearly explain everything in a non-technical way and operated with a sense of urgency but she actually cared about Duke's well-being. She continuously contacted us throughout the day either through phone or email on Duke's progress and she coordinated with multiple oncologists until we were satisfied with one. Duke unfortunately passed away from the tumour being extremely aggressive and inoperable but his last couple of days and weeks were honestly the best they could be with Dwynwen's guidance and oversight.

The worry with a cattery is that your darling kitty will be somehow the worse for wear when you pick them up. Happily, quite the opposite happened after a week in AMC. I brought in two friendly but slightly stand offish 9 month old kittens and returned to two much more friendly and affectionate fellows who had put on weight and had clearly enjoyed their holiday. Weeks later, they are still nicer than they were when they went in! The requirement to have all vaccinations up to date is very reassuring as you know your cat won't catch anything from other moggies, and the regular updates on progress along with photos were very welcome as this was the first time we had been away since adopting these two. Can't recommend AMC enough as a cattery, I might even take them in if they start misbehaving to let them learn some manners again. Wouldn't hesitate to return and I have no doubt the cats agree.

Came across this vets by chance whilst on my way to another vets (that I was not too happy with). Was only stopping to have Mum and newborn pup checked over. Surgery is very clean, calm and staff very helpful and professional. Price reasonable, couple of quid more than some of the other neighbouring vets, but I never leave those vets feeling confident, whereas I did here. Only just venturing into this world of pets and vets and I have to say the governing bodies need to regulate the UK veterinary monopoly properly, as some vets are risking animals lives and openly robbing customers for extortionate amounts. Please avoid medivets in Hendon at all costs if you have a sick pet, they are a nightmare! My experience with this Vets here though is that they are one of the few decent vets.

It was a great experience. First of all the entrance for dogs and cats are separate, so your pet doesn't get stressed in an already stressful situation for them. When I entered the clinic the receptionists were very welcoming. They started chatting to my vocal cat and showing her love to calm her down. The clinic is very clean. You would not smell the terrible smell, you experience in some other Veterinaries, which is great. The vet was nice and thorough too. The receptionists helped me, and carried my cat to my car. Unlike the other place I used to go when once I asked a receptionist there for help after an operation, her facial expressions were awful. Altogether, it was a good experience and I would highly recommend this clinic.

We have been taking our two cats here for the last couple of years - as rescue cats they are very scared, and one of them has had to make far more visits than we would like. The staff at AMC (both clinical and administrative) are wonderful though, and nothing is too much trouble. They work seamlessly with PetPlan, and they work very hard to make the cats comfortable - including home visits and telephone calls when needed. At previous vets we have been to, the service at AMC is not comparable, being so far ahead in its quality and service. The best thing is, you get the impression that they really care for your cat.

Poor treatment. My daughter took a cat to have her microchip read to give her back to the owner. I asked you to give the cat back to us and pass our information to the owner so they can collect the cat from me. Your took away the cat, did not pass our information to the owner and later on I was told we booked the cat for microchipping!??? Even the receptionist repeated back that we want to have the microchip read. And you said we wanted to keep the cat even that never was my intention.? I hope that cat was really united with her family.

I absolutely LOVE this team! They’re always so sweet and attentive when I bring my two babies there! From the doctors to the front desk, I can say this is the BEST team ever! Both of my kittens were neutered there, and the team always calls me the next day to know how they’re doing. Honestly, I feel so safe and confident when I go there, that I definitely don’t mind to pay the price. My cat’s safety comes first, and I know they love each and every single patient and if they were their own! Zaya and Nacho say “Love you all!”

Im very happy with AMC, the best practice I have ever been to. Lovely, professional staff. I was very worry about my cat and went to practice without booked appointment, receptionist Amber was very helpful, arranged quick chat with nurse, and booked ASAP appointment for next day morning! Next day I saw Anne, one of the vet, also very happy from service. Take care of my cat, gives a lot of advices and also straight after appointment she sent me information about my cat illness via email, Highly recommend this practice!

A really great vet, the best I've been to. The staff are very polite and caring - the vets and nurses also have a very professional and respectful attitude. They did their best to care for my cat (Candy) and I would highly recommend them. Their facilities are also very good, clean and tidy. The prices are no more expensive than they should be, as vet fees are generally expensive, meaning that getting insurance for pets is the way to go. I honestly can't think of anything negative to say about my experience with AMC.

Very caring vets. Staff totally considerate and lovely. If you have pet insurance, or can pay, this is the place to go. Two entrances, one for cats and one for dogs! How considerate is that ! Just got myself a new pupply and took her here for a check up and second set of vaccinations. I have visited many vet practises over the years and this practice goes above and beyond with regards to your beloved pets. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed! 5 big woof and meow stars!

The way the owner treated us was not just dishonest but parasitic - we were overcharged £1,077.72 for medication we could have bought online at a fraction of the price, if they had only informed us this was an option and written us a prescription. I have written to the RCVS as I believe this is a breach of the Code of Professional Conduct for Veterinary Surgeons. There is a clear conflict of interest - as medical consultants they have a responsibility to give us transparent and honest advice.

Thank you for your reply as above - whilst I appreciate the points you have answered, my own experience of 40 years of dog owner ship suggests there is less variation in the care of anaeshestic safety between practices than you suggest, and certainly not enough in your case to justify your very high prices. I couldn't be happier. Everyone I've been in contact with at this practice, vets, nurses, assistants have all been beyond kind, helpful and lovely. My dog just had surgery and even though I'm calling daily my calls are always answered straight away by the kindest voices, I always have a bunch of questions and no interaction ever feels rushed, they take care to answer all my questions in detail and have been a great reassurance in an emotionally stressful time. Our cat stayed in the cattery for 2 weeks. While her personality stopped her from socialising too much the staff did their best to make her feel comfortable during the stay. Food and litter was provided, but we too our own in case our fussy angel doesn’t like it there. They ended up using some of the dry food we took. It was good to know how she is doing from the updates. My only negative is that, as a worrying cat mum, I could’ve done with more updates than once a week.

AMC team are amazing professional and kind people we are very happy that we choose this animal clinic for our two kittens they were really helpful and always kind through our whole stay ,one of my kitten have surgery with harnia and doctor Eyal was really great through the whole healing process . I moved away so my cat is no longer a patient here but having now been to another vet I appreciate this vet so much! They looked after my previous pet who died so well. Very sensitive and attentive. The waiting rooms are separate for cats and dogs. Nice and quiet waiting room for cats which helps keep cats calm. The itemise your bill so you can tell what you paid for and why. I wish I could pick this vet practice up and move it near me!

Our dog had an Xray under general here and the process was very good. The vet team took every possible safety precaution, such as pre-GA blood test, IV etc. The staff were all friendly and were happy to help with the paperwork for our insurance claim. We also previously had consultations and treatment for our dog's minor eye infection, which was also very kind, friendly and professional. I'm glad we have a great vets close to home.

First male vet I had was excellent. Then next two acted like lawyers, in as much as its how much you can charge, with no thought to the animal's stress levels, to common sense. It's all about the money. Another friend of mine has had enough of them too. Maybe they get commission on how much they bill. If not, it certainly feels that way. Looking for another vet. One that is holistic and doesn't try and pretend to be genuine.

They don't let more than one person with the same animal even if its husband and wife They don't let you enter the examination room with your pets Young lady veterinary with little experience Staff with bad attitude I don't recommended it I was there because i couldn't find appointments sooner for my cat And they ask you to waer mask but non of the staff wear one including the vet her self

My cat had a terrible accident that required emergency surgery at another hospital, but follow up care was completed here. They were very understanding when it came to financial difficulties and were upfront with expected costs. Although you would think the experience was traumatic, my cat has no stress at coming back for check ups thanks to the lovely care of the vets and support staff.

This vet is so expensive. Actually, that is not the definition. They are ripping people off. I called asking about neutering my chihuahua and they wanted to charge me £450!!!!!!!!!!!! Madness. Do NOT pay that. Other Vets or the Mayhew, do the exact same procedure for less than £100, or a bit more, some places. But never that outrageous amount of money. NOT GOOD! Stay way.

Second visit, second disappointment - its all about money. Prices 3 times higher then anywhere else, so make your research before emergency. Came with stray cat to ask is it ok to take it home to small kids, heard its in "fab condition". Closer look at home - tick infested, two claws torn out. Missed that as it was free consultation? Seriously disappointing.

This has to be the friendliest vet practice I've ever been to. I haven't met a single staff member who was rude or impolite. They genuinely care about the pets they look after and even have been kind enough to check in on us after our pet sadly passed. The price is well worth it. Lovely team, lovely environment. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

This is a hugely overpriced practice and unfortunately I have given them thousands of pounds over the years. I wish I had read the reviews before. My most recent experience resulted in a quote nearly 6x higher that others we subsequently got and included many unnecessary tests on our kitten. There are many other vets locally. Please shop around.

After having experienced multiple different vets, I was told about AMC by two separate dog owners. I have been using them for a year and would whole heartedly say that if you want honest advice then this is the place. The prices are a little on the high side but I would pay that for honesty which a lot of the big vets around here fail to do.

My cat Ivy has been attending this clinic for over a year now and the treatment here is amazing. She loves coming to the practice and enjoys seeing everyone and the Cattery has become her second home! She can be a bit difficult but the staff are so patient and you can definitely tell that patient care is their priority. Highly recommend!

I took my cat Miu to the Animal Medical Centre as he was limping for a few days and I was really worried. Dra. Carolina diagnostic was completely right and my cat is now better and walking normally! I am really thankful to her and her team. She treated my cat well and I am glad the medicine worked well too! Thank you very much!!

Lovely staff. Very friendly. My dog ( Leo ) wants to pop in every time we pass the vets on our daily walk. They have always helped with all Leo's problems ( and there have been many) and given advice. They kept me well informed when Leo had to stay with them. Price is a bit high but you get great service.

Have brought my cats here for over 20 years for treatment, vaccs and boarding. Dwynwen & the team have always provided top notch service and care. They have diagnostic facilities too. The cattery has large pens and I can go on hols knowing my pets will be well looked after. Highly recommend this practice.

Great veterinary practice, always available and has on site cattery. Separate entrance/receptions for cats and dogs which makes visits so much more tranquil. They provide prescriptions if you prefer to order flea treatments and other medicine online. We've been patients since 2015 and absolutely love it.

Except for one occasion a couple of years back (which was to do with a temporary vet) I am always impressed with the warmth and professionalism of the team here. Their costs may be slightly higher than other vets but our cats are always so well looked after by Carolina, Dwynwen and her team. Thank you!

I think this I the most expensive and worst possible place in London to bring your pet. Stay away. Prices are exorbitant, they do not care at all about the animals and all they care about os charging you as much as possible for every tiny thing they do- without prior consent.

I agree completely with user Karina. The prices are exorbitant and the constant staff turnover is worrying. It makes me think that the owner not only is taking advantage of customers but also treating poorly her staff. A place so badly managed does not inspire me confidence.

This vet has been my vet for many years. Very professional and caring. They are so good that my dogs automatically want to go in if we pass the vets in our walk, that says a lot about the way they are with the animals . Dogs that actually like going to vets …

Had a really great experience at this Vets. Thankfully they were open and responsive during the Pandemic. I've felt reassured and supported in the diligent care of my cats. Professional and friendly - what more can you ask for!? Would highly recommend!! x

Having read the rather mixed reviews, I chose to risk it and I'm really glad I did. Very friendly, subsequent visit with a poorly adolescent dog was dealt with efficiently and without embellishment. Price about average and happy to go again.

We left our cat Mittens while away in europe last summer. Poor Mittens had a stomach problem, and the vet and staff looked after him very well. They communicated with me by e-mail and kept me informed of his progress. Well worth the cost!!!!

I needed an emergency appointment with a VET over the week end and got one few hours later at the clinic, staff is simply amazing and professional, from receptionist to nurses and vets. Highly recommended, they love their jobs and animals.

The staff were very friendly and knew what they were doing. The wait was quite long and had to wait outside during my kitten vaccination due to Covid-19. The vet was helpful, friendly and happy to answer questions over the phone.

As animal centres go this is the best I have been to...clean throughout polite staff and vets and when you leave you feel satisfied that you animal has been throughfully looked after....then comes the bill not cheap.
