My sister was buried here in 1976. When our father passed away I have his ashes buried in my sister plot so they would be together. I buried my father August 2022, he was a USAF Veteran. I sat there with the Director Paul Krotzer and filled out paperwork to order my father military headstone. Long story short, Paul didn’t order it. Paul left 2 weeks ago. I just lost my Stepfather last month and I’m moving to Virginia to take care of my mother. This means I’ll never get to see my fathers headstone. The people in the office thinks this is no big deal. They don’t care about how their actions, the lack of accountability, their incompetence hurt the families that are buried in their cemetery. The inside of the office is disgusting, not cleaned, disorganized, and they are still hiding behind a Covid 19. The grounds are unkept, and I’m a retired Horticulturalist. THE OFFICE STAFF ARE THE RUDEST PEOPLE I’VE EVER DEALT WITH.

I do not recommend putting your Love one here as their final resting place.When my mother passed away in 2016 and purchased the plot. We asked how much space would be in between the next plot that the space would be just like the other spaces that it would be like other plots there. This was not TRUE! My dad passed away 3-14-2019. They are so close to the plots on both side that my mother's casket would have to be disturbed when putting the other caskets when the hole is made. This is so very upsetting to know that. They are using every inch to fit more graves for cash purposes since they are running out of space. This cemetery use to be very clean and well manicured cemetery. Now it's messy and not well kept. I feel that they do not care what so ever!! It's about $$$.

I had to give one star to publish this but they do not deserve any. My son committed suicide in March of 2020. I paid for his cremation and burial and was told that he would have a granite marker on his place beneath the Pieta . It is October 2023 and there is no marker. I finally heard from the cemetery in April of this year for approval of a marker. No marker. The office was locked and the number they listed for contact was not answered. I spoke to them by phone today and they refused to apologize even though I spent hundreds of dollars to travel to Texas to visit his grave. These are dishonest, heartless people. I am Catholic and do not believe that they are operating under anything Catholic . Disgsting.

This place was chosen by my sister in law as the resting place for my brother who died suddenly and unexpected. Upon arriving at my brother's final resting place, we noticed another burial occurring just 30 feet away from where we were going to be. There was a fight with members of the other burial. And there we were disrupted from our own farewells due to those people fighting. I don't blame Assumption for the fight, but, I do blame them for scheduling 2 burials 30 feet apart at the same time. They also had us walking over other graves while carrying my brother's remains. Not an easy task trying to avoid disrespecting other graves by not stepping on them. Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves.

Trash everywhere, grass up to my mid calf, my daughter’s Tun done has been moved, then what made me the angriest is when I saw a bunch of tombstones thrown by the back gate all broken up. I am so upset with this new management. My daughter was only a month old when she passed away almost 20years ago and this cemetery was very well taken care of if not you go to the office and they fixed it within the same week. This is so sad that they are not taking care of peoples loved ones. I’m going to looking into how to report them to higher sources, maybe even call the new stations this is not right at all. I am also trying to figure out how to post the pictures of while I was there

This place has went down , they either need to get better staff because ROSE or EMILY do not help. They will only return calls if someone has passed or pending burial which means who cares about the ones who need their headstone or have questions in regards to their plot. This is sad, we want closure for our loved ones. My Grandmother passed on 3/30/21 and my mother notified the office by email and left messages on 4/6/21 to let them know to order the headstone and nothing has been done up to now. Now they are saying they never got the message or email. REALLY! Just SAD! I really do not want to give them any stars but it is making me in order to post my review!!!!!!!!

We lost our infant daughter almost 19 years ago. Assumption Cemetery has always gone above and beyond to help out or fix anything for us! The staff has always been kind, helpful, and courteous during one of the most difficult times of our lives. The former manger Paul Zelinski & present Paul Krotzer always took care of any concerns or questions that we had. They replaced vases when they were broken right away and when we needed our daughter's headstone raised they raised it as soon as possible for us! They both helped out with any issues that people would have that are going through this difficult time in their lives. Thanks, Steve & Jennifer Hogan

We purchased a headstone for our parents and marker for our baby sister in Setember 2019 and have yet to receive them. I've called to talk to Paul the supposed Director but he is never there and the staff always has an excuse for why he isn't there. And the staff can never answer the questions I have. I made another attempt to talk to Paul again today. Of course he wasnt there. The staff person told me the baby's marker was there but couldn't tell me where our parents headstone was. So again Im stuck waiting for Paul to return my call. We have had multiple family members interned hear and to my knowledge never had issues like this.

My mother in laws grave was covered in cemet and we go monthly not to mention we walk around and give the flowers we have left over to others l0ved ones. My 11yr old had to see a tombstone sunken inside of the ground with just a bit of dirt covering the casket. Can you imagine that being your loved one. The news needs to get on it. Trash everywhere, tombstones lying against trees that were there the week before, graves completely covered. Absolutely horrible! And don't expect the owners to do anything they won't return your phone call. I reported that sunken grave over 3 weeks ago and it's still like that.

Paid for bench and headstone two yrs ago. Never received. Barely got a refund after months of trying to get hold of anyone on phone. When I finally got a hold of someone they said they would check up and call back. Of course they never did. Weekly calls were unanswered and we finally gave up. Please don't bother here. Such a headache. There's hidden fees , unreliable staff, limited road space, unmaintained grounds, constant changing of the policies. We tried to keep our family as close as possible and that's why we chose here. So sad we will have to consider a new place .

Assumption cemetery should be ashamed of themselves. Beer cans/ bottles everywhere. Trash. Broken headstones leaning against trees and other headstones. Graves so close together I don't see how they can dig another grave plot next to it with out disturbing another burial plot, vases broken, cars parking on top of graves. No one answers the phone. Weeds and grass in some areas as tall as up to my knees, covering up headstones and benches, dirt covering up headstones that are flat on the ground. Broken trees limbs everywhere. Sunken graves. Should get a negative 100 stars.

Father's Day 2020 was not a memorable one. Assumption Cemetery you should be ashamed of yourself. Knowing this would be a emotional day for several families. The grounds of this Cemetery looked horrible. The trails from the tractors are all over the cemetery. Also the unkept grass and overgrown weeds everywhere. No trash cans. Grass needs to planted in so many spots. Broken headstones in plain sight by the office. This is not only unacceptable but disrespectful as well. Assumption is quick to take your money but will not take care of the grounds.

I ordered, paid, and approved my moms headstone 1 year ago, and its was never installed. I called and spoke with Rose, and she stated that they had some confusion with the approval. I did the approval again.. that was in January.. and still no head stone. I have e-mailed but received no response. This place looks so unkept.. I wish I hadn't chosen this place to be my mothers final resting place. I guess it is time to get an attorney...

I wish I could give a negative five star. This place need to be sued just like a slumlord . They're quick to take your money but fail to do any up keep !!! My father requested to be buried here. Once the plot was paid for and arrangements were made for burial, the communication with the funeral home and family stopped there was no one out at the time of burial to direct. The most disrespectful unorganized front office. If you love and care for your loved ones. I suggest finding a better cemetery one that shows compassion to the dead and their loved ones.

Yesterday I was there because a friend of mine was buried there. The place was filthy it was hard to understand why. I've asked them before to do something for me because I have my late husband buried there and they told me with all the deaths they were too busy. They're income has increased at least a 100 fold I believe that they can afford to hire more help to keep and make the place look better.

This cemetery needs lots of improvement and maintenance has gone downhill. I just submitted a complaint because my fathers vase has been broken completely off the base. Although, I've requested for it to be replaced, the outcome is TBD and I'm concerned about receiving the same match and quality. If my request is not met I will be submitting acomplaint to the Texas Cemeteries Association.

This cemetery is disgusting now it used to be beautiful im not understanding what happened.. i want my brother and family memebers to be moved i cant stand it there is a huge pile of dirt next to my cousins grave in baby land the roads are all messed up its disgraceful and disrespectful to have it looking the way it does... used to be beautiful they need to get it together...

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Do NOT bury your loved ones here. They do not care about you or who you’re burying. The won’t answer calls or emails if you ever need them. It’s been months of me trying to get a hold of some one with no answer what so ever. Their office is STILL closed to the public due to “ covid”. It is impossible to get anywhere with them.

I have many family members buried here and I don't know what happened but it looks run down. I have called the office to address my issue with my mother's grave and no one has ever called me back. It's sad to see this place look so horrible. They only return calls if you want to bury someone there so they can take their money. God doesn't like greedy people!

Assumption Cementery lacks customer service. We've been calling and emailing to get a status of my grandmothers headstone for 2 years with no return calls or emails. We've spoken to Rose and Emily and all they say is that it's been ordered. Not sure why this is so difficult to do. I feel like were at their mercy at this point.

My sister-in-law chose to bury my brother here …. This place is so terrible …. We drive from Fort Worth to Austin to visit my brother and we couldn’t find his stone cause it was fully covered with dirt …. Every time we visit him we have to clean around his stone and his stone …. DEFINITELY NOT A PLACE I WOULD RECOMMEND

Just visited the cemetery this past weekend and I was disappointed with what I saw,,the cemetery has not been maintenance like they used to. There were weeds and grass growing everywhere some of the headstones were not even visible. And the grass had not even been cut, and there were flowers thrown everywhere.

My father is buried here and we got a headstone for him because it’s been about a year and a half since he passed away and they won’t even let me pick up the headstone I paid for because they said they are too busy to have someone come out and I guess watch us. DONT BURY YOUR LOVED ONES HERE !!

Idk if the workers aren’t getting paid enough or just don’t care. All these rules applied and yet they can’t even maintain the place in good shape out of respect to the buried there. You can try and make it look nice but they rather have an awful appearance and throw anything they find away.

I think its crazy that only 1set of flowers can be there at one time, we will never see our beloved again dont take that away too. what happened to picking up the flowers every 1st friday of the month , gone but not forgotten

Craig is a good guy has a lot to deal with but he is there to help anyway he can. Dealing with death a lot of emotions get involved and although it may seem at times this place is bad it’s really not.

It used to be a good place. Now they don’t have any respect to the sites. Throwing away things without informing the family. No signs stating what acceptable and what isn’t. Beer cans everywhere!

My grandma has been deceased for three yrs already and we can’t get a headstone still cause assumption jacks people around. I wish we never used this disgraceful place. Money hungry

8 months now, my wife's head stone has been on order. Can't get answers on phone and they will not return calls they won't even Answer the door when I drove there from East Texas.

I’ve been getting the run around on where my son is buried for over 6 months. No communication. Barely answered calls with no resolution at the end. Terrible service

I was annoyed there were beer cans all over the ground in the babies section. Otherwise, a nice, serene cemetery that inters all faiths. Also has a masoleum.

Don’t expect ANYTHING in a timely matter Except them cashing your checks… People are not bad but don’t expect them to return calls or have accurate updates.
