We truly cannot recommend this store enough. From the second we walked in to the second we swiped our card and made our purchase, we truly felt like we were at home. To preface, we are about to close on our first home and we were looking to invest in a high quality sectional that would last for many years to come - through lazy “couch potato” days, our cat’s lunatic antics, friend/family visits, karaoke couch parties, you name it, this couch will see it. I had scoped out the website online and thought I had a pretty solid idea of the couches we might be interested in (the SoCo and the Fluffy.) In person, both of these are amazing couches in their own unique ways, but we were very surprised by the pull that the Mesa had on us from the moment we laid eyes on it. I had scrolled by this sofa quickly on the website not thinking anything of it because it looked quite similar to our current couch from a mainstream furniture dealer that I *cannot wait* to get rid of. But in person, OMGGGG the Mesa is stunning. It’s such a substantial and deep sectional, it just demands attention. We plopped down for a nice while, chatting and imagining our life with a sofa this comfortable and huge, joking that we’d have to launch snacks across the sofa to each other in order to share, or make tin can phones to hear each other from across the room. During this time, our little Couch Angel Cassie was floating around sprinkling her fairy dust and doing anything but putting pressure on us for a sale, which was completely opposite from the experiences we had at other more “mainstream” stores. We kept looking around for a while and tested out the sofas that we actually went intending to see, and although they were all great, we just knew in our souls that the Mesa was right for us. Problem was, the configuration in the store wasn’t conducive to our space. But alas, in comes Cassie to totally immerse herself in our vision, and help us come up with a solution that is perfect for our space. From choosing the right couch style (she previously owned a Mesa and highly recommended it), to the configuration, to the fabric, she guided us the whole way through, asking all the right questions to make sure we would end up with everything we dreamed of and more. And of course we did get more - we ended up buying a stunning dining table set, too. (When I say this place has nothing but wall-to-wall BANGERS !!!) Anyway, we ended up walking out the first day, not making a purchase. We wanted to think on it overnight because this purchase is a big, albeit reasonable, investment. We were still juggling between going the “budget-friendly” route or the long-term investment route which if you know you know, is not the easiest decision to make. We left ACP feeling no pressure or awkwardness from the staff - they showed every step of the way that they understand how important making the right choice is when spending this type of money on furniture. Probably needless to say, but we could not stop thinking about this gorgeous furniture, and immediately went right back the next day to finalize our purchase, which was made easy because Cassie had saved a quote for us with all our specificities in their system. We decided last minute (an hour before closing) that we might want to buy an ottoman to go with our sectional and she literally moved huge furniture pieces so we could get a clear visual of the combo before deciding. We are soooo excited to receive our pieces, and this experience has been an absolute pleasure, way more so than I have ever had when buying furniture anywhere else. Thank you so much to Cassie and the rest of the staff for your hard work, immaculate vibes, and to ACP owners for allowing your staff the freedom to show up as themselves and not forcing them to treat customers like a walking pocketbook, because it truly makes all the difference for the buyer. Review is for our experience in October 2021 for a leather couch. I am a first time home owner also first time couch shopper. I have been taking my time shopping online and in store but cannot find anything I like or in stock. My coworker recommended Austin Couch Potato so my husband and I came for a stroll without much expectations. Richard was a great staff at receiving us, he was non pressuring but made a great emotional connection. We enjoyed talking to him and decided to consider a L shaped ladybird couch. It was modern and good looking but a bit over our budget. Richard mentioned they have exactly 1 in stock in warehouse so we picked up the material and went home to seriously think about it. Later on Richard made follow ups like all good sales people would. He also made sure we hurry up so the stock isn't taken by others (furniture was going super fast in October not sure why , might be global supply chain issue). We decided to take it but Richard was not working on the day we were going but he and I worked on the price over messaging and reached an agreement then he made an effort to come in just of us. I do have to mention that I got some bites on my body while shopping there, not sure if it's allergy (I'm very sensitive due to pregnancy) or mosquitoes/bugs. I thought about if the couch would be safe n mentioned my skin concern to Richard. He guaranteed there's no bugs to be concerned. I trusted him. Now I am one month into using my couch and we really love it (and our guests too). No issues with the couch. I think it's a successful shopping experience!!

I really wanted to love Austin Couch Potatoes. Richard was nothing but great during the entire process of building our couch. We even decided to purchase a small dining set because the service and the quality seemed unmatched compared to other furniture stores in the area. After payment was received and a couple weeks went by was when things took a turn. On the day of delivery, one delivery driver quit so my boyfriend had to help the solo driver bring the couch up to our 3rd floor apartment. No big deal, things happen. I noticed a gap in the couch and realized the pieces were not connected. There was a piece missing. We reached out and were told they could ship the part for us to install. I don’t think so. Thankfully, they sent someone out to install the piece. For the most part it corrected the issue. There is still a gap between the two pieces that I can overlook. The couch is super comfy! It just sucks to have gotten the run around and people just passing the buck/blame on someone else. The gentleman who called to rectify the situation was very nice to my boyfriend. He even refunded the delivery fee which was much appreciated. Our dining set finally came in this week. I am so upset!! There is a big stain on the table. I called the company where I was told the products are inspected prior to shipping. Someone really dropped the ball on the quality control here. The representative provided me with an email to send the pictures of the product to, and said we should be receiving a call soon. Here we are waiting for another call for another disappointing product.

Unfortunately the experience was not as expected. They received 2 stars because they did issue a full refund. Long story short we had 3 issues - 1) received the wrong color 2) when right color was received the seams we’re coming undone and created holes in multiple areas within 2 weeks, additionally some of the cushions had hard knots and they stated the fabric was the issue and we had too pick another color - I settled at this point because we needed a couch.. 3) when the couch arrived the seats were flat and didn’t fully fit the seat and overall not the same as we sat on in the store - they then stated that it was because they were using a new material to fill the seats. Seems this should have been pointed out before they sent the couch. My sales rep Baudy was less then helpful- I constantly had to call him for updates- he would state let me call you right back and NEVER did then when I spoke to Pablo the service manager he stated he would handle the issues and to contact him - needless to say he never returned a call or text. Once they offered a refund they were quick to call and schedule the pickup. The service overall was less than par. The thought of spending my money local made sense but unfortunately they will not be earning our business. Maybe this would have been a different experience with a different sales rep ( they had two marketing ladies in there that take pics/videos that were more helpful than anyone selling the couches). We are now couch-less and shopping for a well made oversized sectional.

I've been recently in the market searching for a main sofa for my living room, and because this was my first time furniture shopping, I had tons of questions about different fabrics, materials, you name it! When I first walked into Austin Couch Potatoes, my representative, Andrew, greeted me with genuine enthusiasm and care. Even as I was walking around the warehouse, he periodically checked back in to ensure that I was doing okay and happily answered what seemed like my millionth question haha. The best part about Andrew was that he was transparent about their products and the conversation never felt like he was trying to "sell" me on anything, but rather, he was listening to my concerns and then addressing them accordingly. Through this superior customer service experience, I was able to build trust with Andrew, which ultimately was a big factor that led me to select Austin Couch Potatoes for my furniture needs. I'm always happy to support local (vs. chains like West Elm, RH, CB2, etc.), and they offer a wide variety of furniture options, which always helps too! Edit: The I’m store shopping experience was great, the problems started when the items arrived at my home. The first chair arrived with a minor cut in the fabric, I then had to wait almost two weeks for a replacement, which was fine the issue was the lack of communication from customer service. They would not call me until I made multiple complaints to my sales person. After the second chair arrived I was questioned by the delivery man as well as then informed that the new chair had a black stain in the fabric. He then asked me if I wanted to keep the ripped chair or the one with the stain. In which I responded with neither, why would I keep either one of both came damaged? Overall it’s safe to say I will never shop from them again. Please read the reviews before purchasing! I made the mistake and purchased because the sales men were great but the problem is the customer service, they are almost impossible to reach. Went by the North Lamar location today to view a couch I really liked and Richard was extremely helpful! He was able to help me in picking out the perfect fabric for my couch and chair. Was a nice quick and efficient visit!

We bought a sofa and a loveseat from couch potatoes and the whole experience was amazing! People/ sales: Lindsay helped us throughout and was patient with our questions and gave us time to think when we needed it. She was even available to answer questions on text when we were not in the store! She helped us with our fabric and color selection too! She also kept us updated on the status of the couch. This was a new frame and fabric that we picked, and it was all on time! Collection: ACP has a great collection of sofas and loveseats, appealing to different styles. We were torn between so very good options. Delivery: ACP confirms delivery and provides you a three hour window on the day of delivery. Ours arrived slightly early but we’re not complaining! Lindsay particularly helped us with getting the sofa and loveseat delivered before we left for a week long trip! Lindsay definitely made a difference to our experience buying with ACP, would definitely recommend working with her at ACP North! This was a lovely experience!!!

Great experience shopping here. The salesman Andrew helped answer all my questions (there were many) and was very open about the various pros as well as cons of the fabric options and other major lifestyle factors impacting a couch choice. After discussing and wanting to double check some measurements and color plans at home again, he provided a fabric swatch for me to see how I liked the colors and patiently helped again the next day with even more questions. He also helped with meeting my budget and making sure I would know how to best take advantage of warranty and other services if needed. Very excited to get my pretty and cozy new couch! Love that it’s made in Austin and that I won’t have to wait months for availability and logistics to work out. I had visited many other furniture stores and didn’t find any pieces that seemed as quality or as “right for me” as the choice I was able to make at ACP either. I feel confident the quality will be incredible and will match the excellent buying experience.

Couch: Not so good. In store experience: Great! Warranty Service: meh. On 6/9/23 I received my leather Wallace Estate sofa, and have been dissatisfied with the build quality for the pretty high price. Within two weeks, the seat cushions flattened out to where I could feel the sofa below. I filed a warranty claim shortly after, and two months later, my replacements are finally here - which is a crazy long wait. During this time, one of the tuft buttons has ripped out of its stitching in the back cushion, and the backs are now curved. On the positive side, the actual frame of the sofa is solid and I feel that it can be there for the long term. However, quality control on the rest of the sofa isn't great. I was happy to support local workers who built the sofa, but more quality control/testing is needed. I really hope my warranty claim fixes the issue, but I'm almost certain I will need to make a custom cushion with denser foam.

My Mom and I had gone to several furniture stores trying to find the best prices for the items we were looking for. Shortly after we walked in the manager came over and greeted us. They then gave us a little time to start looking on our own before a sales person came over to us, I really appreciated this and did not feel like it was a high pressure environment. Our sales person, Cassie was a god send. She was not only the sweetest but very knowledgeable about design and extremely helpful. We told her we were going to to a couple other stores to compare our options, we had such a positive experience however; that we got in the car, started pulling out of the parking spot and decided to just pull the trigger since the furniture was beautiful, well made and with decent prices. Not to mention we felt Cassie and Couch Potatoes Central Austin 100% deserved our business.

After having a rather negative experience with another company, that ended in a return, we decided to try Austin Couch Potatoes. I am sooo glad we did! Our sales rep, Dare was very helpful, and oh so patient! There are so many beautiful options, the decision was hard. Dare never made us feel rushed or pressured, but was still engaging. We were able to customize our sofa to a perfect fit, to reflect both our styles. Another great thing about this place: they are locally owned & their furniture is made right here in Austin. We are very excited about our purchase and plan to continue to come here as we update our home. My boyfriend and I were looking for a furniture store to find a couch when we stumbled across Couch Potatoes. When we heard it was local, and family owned we knew it was going to be good, but didn’t know it’d be THAT good. As soon as we walked in we were greeting with smiling faces, cold drinks, and the UT game on so we could keep up with it while we shopped! Darian, one of the store employees, came up to us with a smile on her face and some jokes to crack on the side. She helped us pick out the perfect couch, wasn’t pushy, gave us space multiple times, was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about each and every couch, and we even shared some fun stories. My husband and I were initially trying to find a leather sleeper sofa at Crate and Barrel, but they wouldn’t even be able to have shipped the couch until 8 months later! I went to Instagram and came across Austin Couch Potato. Super friendly, knowledgeable and efficient customer service! I reached out through Instagram and Tad was fantastic at working with me to order a couch. He responded quickly and had detailed answers to help me make sure I was getting the best couch for what we were looking for. He actually suggested the Ladybird that my husband and I loved more than the Wallace we were initially thinking about. Definitely a company I am happy to support! Plus we live in California and it was free shipping. We can’t wait to have it in our home.

Hunted all over town for a good couch, but I kept coming back to Couch Potatoes. Their pricing and schematics are clear and transparent, they show you diagrams and schematics and measurements, they have swatches of all the fabric, and they're willing to sit down, get to know you, hear about your use cases and make intelligent recommendations about your unique situation. Darian Leviner was our salesperson, and a kinder, friendlier, and chill-er salesperson I've never met. She got to know me personally, had fun chatting together, and was willing to work together without being pushy. A genuine pleasure to work with, and she's earned a repeat customer if I never need anything else!

Fantastic Experience We had a fantastic experience at couch potatoes buying our couch! We were helped by Andrew, who very attentive and helpful. He showed us around the large floor with the many models, asking us questions and helping us decide on a style. He then provided us with copies of measurements of all the couches we were interested in and gave us an excellent tip on using painters tape to get a “feel” for the size of the different couches. We came back the next day with a decision and Andrew helped us choose colors from the swatches and get everything done in a quick, clear and organized manner. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a couch!

Great service, they let us take our time and make up our own mind on what we liked best, not what was best for profit. ,... So I thought... After we left now two weeks later no couch. Was supposed to be delivered last week, said it was supposed to be delivered yesterday, now they're telling us it won't be for another week. The customer service has gone way down hill do we paid for the couch. All they wanted was the money it seems. I called up there multiple times got the runaround every time. Most likely we will have to go pick up the couch ourselves. At this point I'm thinking of calling my bank I'm taking back the charge I'm going buy the couch somewhere else!

The store itself wasnt handicap acessible. I had to help my girlfriend with her broken leg and scooter up the stairs. The store itself was nicely decorated. The furniture was good quality and we were able to find what we wanted. The sales associated was nice and helpful. She didnt seem to know a few things we asked and didnt seem overly engaged with us. After seeing a couple of options, she said to let her know if we needed anything and left. We were the only customers there and felt abandoned until we told her that we wanted the item. Thankfully we liked the coffee table we saw, otherwise probably would have bought it somewhere else.

Our couch just arrived and it's beautiful! We're very happy with it, but even happier with the customer service we received. We went to the store to purchase our couch and decided on a color that took about 7 weeks to build. We were nervous about this because we just moved and didn't have a couch at our house yet, but Baudy in Austin was SO helpful. He figured out a solution where we were able to have a temporary couch in our home for no cost until our actual couch was ready, and then when our actual couch was delivered, they also picked up the temp couch. Totally went above and beyond for us, and we really appreciate it!

So I wasn't planning on buying anything, just going from place to place comparing prices and looking at furniture. But once I got to Austin's Couch Potatoes Furniture I was immediately greeted by Richard and offered a complimentary beverage. My boyfriend and I saw a set we really liked and Richard gave us an offer we couldn't pass up. He saw we had our puppy with us and mentioned their pet warranty which was something we hadn't been offered anywhere else. If you're looking for a great deal and fantastic service this is the place to go, also don't forget to ask for Richard, he did a stellar job!

This is the best furniture store I have ever shopped at! My salesman, Richard, was hands down the best. He worked his magic and was able to get me exactly what I wanted in a rush! Other stores quoted me 3+ weeks for delivery, Couch Potatoes had it delivered in 2 days!!! I never once felt pressured to purchase that day & can honestly say my whole buying experience was stellar. Their furniture and their warranty speak for themselves. I can’t wait to add more pieces to my collection in the future!! Richard will have my business for life. 1000% recommend, Austin Couch Potatoes is the real deal.

The sales staff is great, the furniture is top quality. However, they told me it would be 6-8 weeks for a piece I ordered, and it’s taken over 12. When I asked if they could provide free delivery on the item for being a month later than their latest estimate the manager said no, but offered to ship for $30. He had previously refused to sell me the display after it had been 8 weeks of waiting. Having spent over $3,500 here, I would expect better customer service from management. That said, my sales rep has been great to work with, would give 5 stars if the manager had been more helpful.

Oh my gosh!!! Such a great place and local for Austinites. The store is nice , easy to see things, clean and nice. The staff is very nice and very helpful. The manager greeted me and left me to look and then a sales person came over to me. Claudia was so nice , so helpful with good knowledge and ideas. Not a pushy hard sale. Relaxed and easy. Really can’t say enough about them! So proud to have local business like this in my home town. OH!! and the quality is great and looks like what you see online. We visited Austin Couch Potatoes in 2022 to see what the store had in stock. Richard provided excellent consultation services, however we were not in the market for a couch. Richard was very passive and non-pressure when assisting us, so I kept his card for over a year. Fast forward April 23’ we were finally in the Market for a new couch and decided to buy due to his excellent salesmanship. Between the excellent material quality and consultative no pressure salesmanship we will come back once we need another piece of furniture. Thanks Richard!

I have been to Arhaus, Potterybarn, West Elm among others in search of the right sectional before I stopped by Couch Potatoes. I really liked the options in colors, configurations and the types here. Jacob was amazingly patient and extremely helpful in deciding. He asked about my room, lighting etc.. and took the time to advise. I went back the next day to look. Jacob still took the time to talk. I bought a large SoCo in Teal and excited for it to get delivered. There have a brilliant protection plan and they deliver in less than 3 weeks.!!

My fiancé and I went to 3 different furniture stores before stopping by Couch Potato! Richard approached us and was super friendly. He was very personable and informative without being over bearing. We fell in love with Fluffy, but needed time to think about it. We came back 2 weeks later and Richard remembered us! He was so helpful throughout the process and we’re so happy with our purchase. I have to say that I was very disappointed by my visit to this store. Even with the "huge 30% off" sale that was going on while I was there, the prices were still outrageous for what you get. I was also unhappy with their lack of customization options, since they build their own furniture to order. While you are able to select the color fabric of your choice, they will not put storage into a couch/chaise, nor will they put in a sleeper bed. Two stars because the staff was friendly and helpful but I won't be returning.

After looking for a couch at many furniture stores, our realtor suggested we stopped by Couch Potatoes. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Jacob. Him and Mike (the store Manager) took care of us. They were very thorough and we ended up customizing our dream couch. The couches were very sturdy, comfortable and well made. We also loved that they have different textures and color swatches. We ended up purchasing our furniture here and we are so pleased with the customer service we received.

The sales professionals were amazing, super helpful and informative and not pushy. They had an amazing selection and drinks on deck so we could sip and browse! We used a third party delivery service to come pick it up for us and the third party service let us down but we came back the next day to Austin's couch potatoes and within 2 minutes of entering the store, they were already helping get us our couch!! Super nice people! Will definitely come back next time we need a new furniture piece!

I went in to the Lamar store looking for the perfect couch. Darian went out of her way in helping me, showing me around and with all of my questions. After a few trip back and forth from home with swatches. It was settled. I only had intentions to buy one couch. I ended up buying two! Side note, highly recommend the Austonian! The whole experience was fabulous. This was my first experience with Austin Couch Potatoes, I will definitely be going back in the future.

We did not expect this quality and service from Couch Potatoes for a couch that we purchased recently. The cushion quality has not at all been good even after it was replaced for sagging issues. The service team has been very slow in rectifying this and even after repeated calls no answer. Calls just keep going to voice mail. Think before you order anything from here. Extended warranty is another joke if you want to get it. Feel a waste of money overall.

I've purchased 2 couches from this place the past 7 years. Nice selection and locally owned. They have a very large selection and also offer custom built couches if you wanted something uniquely your own. Richard assisted me and was great to work with to help me with my couch search. He was informative, considerate, and wasn't pushy with me to purchase anything. Great buying experience and would recommend if you're in the market for couches and sofas.

I came into this store on a Friday after stalking their couches online and on instagram. Immediately I connected with Baudy, who was very kind, fun to talk to, and was very helpful when it came to showing me different couches in my size range. He also was helpful in helping me choose fabric. My couch was delivered safely, quickly, and on time. It’s comfortable and beautiful! I got the SoCo Loveseat for my new apartment.

A colleague and I visited this location to look for furniture and it was a wonderful experience. Richard was super attentive, very respectful and actually kinda a funny guy :-) They made me a cup of coffee as soon as I arrived and allowed us to browse around. We ended up purchasing 4 or 5 items and the transaction went smoothly. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for furniture.

When I tried out their products (sat on them) they felt so wonderfully comfortable. I chose to custom make a chair and I’m really looking forward to getting it! Edit: I’ve had my chair for months now and I love it. It’s exactly what I ordered, and it’s sturdy!

Kristin was very helpful in showing me options and listened to my feedback. In a short timeframe she had located some very unique pieces that are perfect. I also love that the furniture is locally made and they give back to the community.

A great buying experience! I was told to just kick my feet up and make my self at home…and was treated to a cold beer. There were desirable product options with in-store layouts which were collocated with modularity diagrams. The diagrams helped me understand which couch options would best fit in our room. I enjoyed the collection of furniture that's not only appealing to the eye but also the selection of styles. The sales staff was very friendly and helpful. Financing was easy and affordable. But during this high inflation and the greed of Austin's mega growth they found in their hearts to give customers a whopping reduction sale. Also liked there support to veterans.

We walked after only browsing online and we’re immediately greeted with a smile and. Offered drinks! We had a pretty good idea of the couch we wanted to see our salesperson sam was so helpful and kind showing us pieces that were similar to the fluffy that we came in knowing we liked, we talked configurations and vibes and ended up with the perfect couch!!!

I had a great experience shopping at Couch Potatoes with Jacob. I came in with an idea of the different items that I wanted, but he was so helpful showing me different models, different fabric choices, and then helping me make coordinated decisions. He helped to schedule a delivery to the DFW area at a really reasonable price.

So I've had good experiences here but my last time here it was not so good. The guy who helped me just looked around the whole store which I could have done myself. And when he was looking up coffee tables in their online catalog he just looked through everyone rather than using any filters like wood which I was looking for.

She helped me with expediting the custom-made sofa request so that we could get our sofa on time. Highly recommend purchasing from Couch Potatoes. Their furniture has a lifetime warranty on the frame plus limited in materials etc. Our sofa is 3 years old and they sent a technician right out to our house to fix a frame issue. Great communication and service!!
