John Edmondson, owner of Auto Depot Inc (Jacksonville, FL) is a SCAMMER. Please read about my terrible experience with this scammer. John sells on eBay under the username '99noreserve'. While his feedback on eBay appears great, please note how many 'Revised Feedbacks' he has. There are a lot as he is forced to negotiate with Buyers who leave him poor feedback. to get the feedback revised. Here is my story.... John had a 2008 Subaru Tribeca listed on eBay. I was outbid on it but contacted him that evening to say I was interested if the Buyer, in fact, did not end up paying. He called me the next morning to advise that the Buyer stated he would not be able to pay for a week so therefore the Tribeca was mine, if interested. I asked him extensively about the condition of the vehicle and he assured me that he had driven it and that it was in 'great' operating condition. We drove over from Tampa the next day to buy the vehicle. We arrived and met John. The vehicle seemed to be in good shape cosmetically. It started fine and shifted fine so I took John for his word that it was in 'great' operating condition. Well it was NOT. We got back to Tampa and immediately took it to Tire Kingdom. $1,850 later in repairs, the vehicle still has some issues. Repairs included CV joints, struts and both rear wheel bearings. Wow! For a vehicle that John had personally driven and attested to was in 'great' operating condition, it was not. He clearly covered up the condition of this vehicle. Now I have purchased 9 vehicle online and through eBay Motors through the years and this purchase, by far, was the worst. Why? Because the dealer knew of issues and did not disclose them. He prefers to put the burden on the Buyers to find out, down the road (no pun intended) that the cars he sells have major issues. Yes, I realize that I purchased a car used and with no warranty. I get that. What I do not get, though, is that this is not an isolated case of one bad car getting through. Most of the cars he sells are 'band-aided' garbage as confirmed by the poor reviews online. Now to more of the perpetuated scam. When you look at his Google reviews, you will see that the overwhelming majority of them are complaints and 1 star reviews. Every time he gets a poor review what does he do? He simply states he never heard of this person or it is a competitor leaving a bogus review. John, we all know that is your way of justifying your crappy reviews. Now what is even more interesting are some of his reviews on Google where he has received 10-15 (5) star reviews within a few days of each other. You may ask yourself, how can that be? Well here is how....there are companies out there that you can hire to leave you 5 star Google reviews. Fiverr is one of them. You pay like $25 and they have folks leave you great reviews. It is very obvious that this is what he has done. (1) All of the reviews are left within a week of each other and are all 5 star reviews, (2) all of the reviewers are female and are leaving simple 1 line comments, (3) all of the reviewers are from either BC (Canada) or the UK. Do you find it funny that ladies from Canada or the UK are all finding Johns cars great, but everyone else is not? To confirm even further, just click on the names of the ladies leaving those 5 star reviews and look at all of the other businesses they have reviewed....they are all in BC or in the UK. SCAM. For further proof of what this guy is doing, look up Auto Depot Inc with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and you will see his rating is an F from the BBB. Lastly, John is a classic 'cover man' and what I mean is that anyone that leaves him a poor review on Google, John simply provides feedback that claims he has never heard of the person or that the person never bought a car from him. That is his way of trying to cover his greasy tracks. So that he can not make such a claim for my review, I have included a copy of the Bill of Sale from John Edmondson and Auto Depot. I covered up my personal information for privacy reasons. Do not buy from this con man.

Buyer beware! John Edmondson of Auto Depot Inc and 99noreserve (eBay seller name) is the definition of a sleazy used car salesman. He deals in reject/junk/cheap cars and will tell you whatever you want to hear to make the sale. Review the pictures of a car carefully as they are taken at the best possible angle and he does not disclose flaws or issues. This is the 3rd car purchased on eBay and the first car/seller I've had issues with. As of 11/30/16 their address is 14476 Duval Place West STE 302, Jacksonville, FL 32218. The following statements are all facts surrounding my experience: I initially lost the eBay auction for the car (2006 Cadillac DTS) and within 24, maybe 48, hours of ending, he called me offering the car claiming the winning buyer fell through. To top it off, he wanted the winning bid price and not what I had actually bid. It was a difference of $100 and that's my fault for accepting the price/terms. The date of sale on the title was 11/30/16 and I initiated the wire transfer around 12/2/16. He was pushy and insistent on getting the money quickly, even though I was out of town for work at the time, and I had to get my wife to complete the transfer for me. Over the next few weeks, that turned into months, it was excuse after excuse about why the car hadn't shipped. He will claim it was because I was out of town for work/holidays every other week in December, however that should not affect arranging shipminet while I am out of town and having it delivered while I am home. On 1/9/17 I provided him with the address of a local car dealership to have it shipped to and remedy his excuses of me being out of town. The shipping date continued to slide for days and days, excuse after excuse. Then there was an issue with the car not starting and not running properly and shipment was missed on 1/28/17. He had his mobile mechanic look at it, replaced a sensor, and it was supposedly fixed. Then on 2/8/17 it was having the same idling issue again, we talked and I made the mistake of telling him to ship it and I would have my guy look at it and fix it. Via text message the same day he claimed his guy could fix it for $100 and that he would reimburse up to that amount. Again, my mistake for telling him to ship it as is and believing anything he said. Also on 2/8/17 via text he stated 30 day temp tags would be included with the car (mind you date of sale was 11/30/16) and that it was on its way to me. The car finally arrived around 2/12/17 and my mechanic began working on the car to fix the idling issue, oil change, etc. The car arrived with a dead battery that would not hold a charge, so I had to replace that as well. After working on the electronics for a while and getting the idling issue resolved I finally picked up the car on 2/28 (dealer is about 30 miles away, so it was easier to wait till the weekend to get it). When I get to the car lot to pick up my car I immediately see inside that the interior is not in the condition described in the auction, the center console armrest lid is completely broken off, it only came with one key, no key fobs at all, weather stripping on the door jobs is dry rotted and cracked, and no 30 day tags as promised! Since then there has been problem after problem. I get it home and find out there is a transmission fluid leak caused by broken servo bolts and the clutch plates are burned out, requiring a new transmission. New brakes and rotors are also needed all the way around and a wheel balance and alignment was needed (alignment is to be expected though). In short, because there is a character limit in these reviews, it took nearly 90 days to receive the car from John, he has not responded to a single text since 3/4/17, he is a sleazy used car salesman, and I have put nearly $3,000 in the car since I have had it and haven't even put 200 miles on it. Not to mention I had to pay delinquent registration fees because of his failure to ship timely. BUYER BEWARE! I do not recommend buying a car from them unless you can physically inspect the car beforehand.

PLEASE READ IF YOU INTEND ON BUYING FROM JOHN EDMUNDSON AT AUTO DEPOT!!!!! So I’m actually posting this on my wife’s account, but that doesn’t really matter. First off he is a huge scam artist. Don’t be fooled by all the 5 star reviews you see. They’re all fake. Read all the one stars and you’ll see. Anyways, this is my experience. John had posted a 2012 VW Golf on Facebook market, so I gave him a message because I felt it was pretty well priced. He noted the car as in excellent condition. I asked him if there were any cosmetic or mechanical issues, and I quote, “Mechanically it’s great, cosmetically looks pretty good too”. Did not tell me the headliner was totally done for, and the passenger mirror was shattered to hell. But wait, it gets better. I take it for a test drive, and asked his “mechanic” about a shaking that was occurring between 35-45 mph, and he said that the tires just needed to be balanced. So I said okay, no big deal. I came back the next day, we bought the car and went about our day. I had my wife take the car 2 days later to get the tires balanced while I was at work, and when I get out of my lunch break I give her a call to see how it was going and a 50 dollar tire balancing job, turns into a 2500 dollar fiasco. The guy at the shop, who was extremely nice, and even offered my wife a job as a receptionist (obviously wasn’t screwing us), found almost INSTANTLY a cracked driver side axel, the passenger side axel was bad as well too and needed to be replaced. Not only that, a lot of components were covered in oil due to a bad Brake Vacuum Pump. We were assured by numerous people that there is no doubt that they knew about the problem due to how obvious it was. It was a matter of 5 minutes between them going into the shop and coming out and telling us these issues. All in all was going to cost 2500 dollars to fix it. I contacted John when I got out of work to address the situation, seeing that he had broken the law in the sale of this vehicle. We bought the car as is, without a warranty, but there are laws regarding the sale of a vehicle that is not safe to drive, even if they are sold as is. The golf being a FWD car, and having a cracked axel could’ve resulted in us completely losing control of the car, which could have potentially killed us. I initially approached him about the manner in a respectful, calm manner, wanted to work something out. Wasn’t expecting him to dish out the whole 2500, but cover some at least. He refused and said he sells car as is, no warranty. I got irritated and eventually got to the point where I told him, you broke the law with the sale of the car regardless of it being “as is”, I gave him the option of giving the 2500, or paying the 2500 plus compensation, and court fees. He refused both, I even offered to drop the whole thing and just return the car and get everything we paid back. He refused and said they do not take returns. THIS MAN DOES NOT HAVE ANY MORALS WHAT SO EVER. He put me and my wife in a vehicle that could’ve killed us on our way home. He is scum and he is a con artist and will do nothing but screw you. Do not waste your hard earned money and time dealing with this man. And he’s going to say this is a “competitor” or he “never sold us a car”. I have all the documents with my name and his name all over it. AVOID ALL BUSINESS WITH JOHN EDMONDSON AT AUTO DEPOT!!!! DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT HE TELLS YOU!!!!

The reason for my 4-star review is because honest attempts were made to accommodate me, but there was undisclosed information on the auction, however I believe they were not aware of the information I found. Read more: Made a bid on a vehicle only a few hours before it ended, turned out that we won the bid. John contacted me immediately explaining he could offer shipping for $600 to us, and that they required payment within 3 days and an immediate payment via paypal of $250 (within 24 hours). Before making the bid, I searched their seller name and it came up with nothing. Only when I won the bid, did they send a message with the dealership information. I immediately googled the dealership to find the very poor reviews on google and the complaints with the BBB. I attempted to call the business phone, to which there was no answer. I called John's cell number which was provided in the message, and he answered, and I asked to provide a photo of the car with a picture that had my name on it. I also asked him about the BBB complaints and google reviews and he said that they're bogus and from competition trying to bring his business down. John provided the picture, but the car had slight damage in the photo that wasn't shown in the auction photo, but they agreed to take care of it. Weary of the reviews saying that information wasn't disclosed in the ads, that had me wonder what else wasn't true to the description. I tried to negotiate with John about having a 3rd party visit within a few days before we completed the payment and he said "we should have had someone come before bidding" (as if we could have done that after only seeing the auction with hours left). I told him I'd like to come down this weekend and pay in person after inspection and he was adamant that we do a wire transfer within three days. After some collaborating, we agreed for us to inspect the car, however I paid for the carfax before driving down. Autocheck on ebay doesn't have all of the records, and there was a discrepancy between what the true carfax said and the ebay autocheck. I believe they are being as honest as they can, but it's easy to miss little details when you have a fast turn-over rate. Mike (John's partner) attemped to make a solution and was very kind. Despite his efforts we decided not to purchase the vehicle due to the carfax. I feel that if you intend to buy a car from them, simply do your own research on the car before you place a bid so you don't regret your decision to purchase or mess with their timeline to sell cars. Moral of the story, just be cautious and buy your own car fax (yes, it's $40) but it will help you make an informed decision. I don't think that Mike or John have ill intentions. Edit: Mike actually refunded me the purchase price of the carfax as an apology.

READ my UPDATE: John Edmondson or 99noreserve on eBay provides fake reviews/feedback on google or eBay. I'll explain how it works. You click on the google user name who logged 5 starts review, and just check the reviews that user logged so far. A 5 start view in Ohio right after Minnesota and Germany? A one-time gmail user review? FAKE. And he's cheating on eBay feedback too. An eBay buyer who is ripped off by him on eBay, normally would like to request a cancellation of the transaction. But as soon as you do that, your negative feedback can be removed by eBay customer service if John requests eBay to do so. I'm 100% sure John was quite busy calling eBay customer service to remove the negative feedback. So do get fooled by that. I also noticed that John was busy responding to all the one start reviews below, stating that the one start reviews are from fake customers or competitors. Oh John such a liar. I'm curious to see how John would reply to my review. Competitor again? Or never a customer of Auto Depot. Want me to share screenshots of eBay transaction and Paypal payment receipt? I purchased a vehicle from Auto Depot Inc online auction. The vehicle was advertised as a vehicle in excellent condition online. So I paid $250 deposit through PayPal to Auto Depot Inc. I carried the rest of the payment amount in cash and drove 5 hours to Auto Depot Inc. I met the owner, he introduced himself as John. So I started to inspect the vehicle that I wanted to buy. I immediately found some problems which the owner did not declare in the advertisement. Rear passenger side power lock does not work at all. It can only be locked / unlocked manually. Rear passenger side window tint was tripped. The headliner was off the ceiling, and this is the show stopper for me. Seller did not declare these obvious issues in his online advertisement, otherwise i would not buy this vehicle at all. Since it's due to the vehicle condition that stopped me from buying this vehicle, I asked seller my deposit back. I offered $50 to the seller to reimburse him online listing fee, and get my $200 back from the $250 deposit i paid. Seller agreed verbally at the time i was at his shop, but I never received any refund after that.

I normally do not tell stories for reviews, but since there are so many 1 star reviews on here I thought I'd leave a realistic 4 star one. I purchased a 2007 BMW Z4 a few weeks ago from John, I knew it had some cosmetic issues, high mileage , but I was ok with that.. I called John to ask if he could wait just 2 extra days for the 250 deposit, and he gave me no problems with it. I live in NY and made it very clear I did not want to buy one from here due to road salt and snow, so a Florida car was perfect, but the shipping was $$$ ( my shipper) so I had No room for mechanical repairs at all. I trusted my gut, loved the cars look and it's 1 owner history. My shippers picked it up and took photos as usual practice before delivering it, they arrived 2 days later and immediately showed me the windshield was broken which was not disclosed to me. Now before you jump to conclusions, I did not notice it until it was pointed out because it was a thin line above my field of vision and John did sign off knowing they saw it and he did as well. I immediately text him at 930 pm and within a few mins he replied apologizing for not noticing and said he would pay to fix it. Other than that there were a few minor cosmetic issues I wasn't aware of, but nothing major or that hinders the cars ability to look, run and drive nice.. Within a week my mechanic and John worked out a price and John paid for the windshield to be repaired, he also overnighted me some documents NYS DMV required that I was unaware of. Something he did not have to do, most dealers would regular mail it making you wait. I have had HORRIBLE experiences with buying cars sight unseen or driving down south only to find a car ductaped ( yes that really happened) This was Not the case with John. He has been honest, willing to rectify and problems, responds quickly and the car was almost exactly as he said . My mechanic is a friend of many years and said for what I paid, it was a very good deal. I'm sorry for anyone having bad experiences, but for me, I have Nothing negative to say of John and would purchase from him again.

READ UPDATE ..........Worse dealer of the worse, Jeep listed as "one of the best he's ever had", "perfect engine and tranny, no check engine lights", after driving vehicle home check engine light was on, block sealer found in engine, head gaskets blown. If you see his workshop it looks like a chopshop, every different band aid imaginable being put on cars to clear them thru ebay cheap, goes under the name 99noreserve on there. If you notice a lot of his vehicles are over 10 years old, thats because eBay will cover issues for cars less then 10 years old, oh and John uses that to his benefit daily, and if that doesn't work he always has the "as is" paperwork you sign as protection, real class act John. If you buy thru ebay like i did he will hold the keys and tags until you leave him positive feedback on eBay in his office, don't believe me read others comments, they say the same thing. After driving the jeep home and finding the block sealer in the oil fill he claimed that its a used vehicle and "things happen" and he had no idea, yeah right. So do yourself a favor and bypass this looser or you will pay for it in the long run. I noticed below good ol John claims I was never a customer, amazing he says this for many other negative reviews, attached you'll see his eBay feedback he left for me in the pic as well as the beautiful block sealer found in the crankcase as soon as I got home, like I said typical lying used car salesman.

  • Jim Browning

Be very leery of his ebay reviews. Car was nothing like advertised. It's almost comical in what was said in the ad and what was delivered. John is very charismatic and says what you want to hear, but you will get burned. He failed at presenting a car as it was advertised. He failed at delivering the car, and I had to pay someone to go there and get it. He failed at providing a title to the car on the day of the pick up. A car is WAY too expensive to risk buying from someone who has this history that you read here. The misery of a bad automotive purchase can stay with you for years. I am going to do what I can to alert everyone as to what the potential for failure if you do business with him Do your research and check with the better business bureau, too. Don't risk a lot of money to save a little.

  • Four Rings

Do not trust this company. Seller is a thief. This guy goes by 99noreserve on ebay. I won a car on there and put a deposit on it. Seller was very pushy and stated I had to wire him money within 3 business days. I told him a would fly down and buy the car then. I was told I had to pay in full by 3 days. I did not like his attitude. Typically a car salesman is very kind but he was rude. Probably why he sells on Ebay. I requested to cancel my transaction. He refused and took my deposit. Ebay and Paypal will not help me get my money back. I left a negative feedback on his account. Ebay removed it for him so don't go by the feedback you see on his Ebay account. Sellers can get those removed apparently. If you give this guy money you will not get it back at all. You have been warned.

  • John Valarinos

He was supposed to fix the oil leaks on a Corvette before I took delivery. I agreed to pay an extra $200 for him to have the oil leaks repaired. Some gaskets were replaced however the major oil leak, a rear main seal, was not fixed. The car is gushing oil and he refuses to fix it. His defense is, he can't afford to fix it because he'll lose money. The whole transaxle has to be removed in order to fix the engine oil leak. So far it's cost me over $300 for the parts and tooling to repair it myself. I was not smart because I didn't get it in writing. Once again, a used car dealer that cannot be trusted. Nice guy, no pressure but get everything in writing and don't accept delivery until everything promised is verified to be completed.

  • Greg Oakes

This Company Falsely Advertises there Vehicles, I bought a Jeep on Ebay and got Screwed, They advertised Never Been Wrecked and No Rust , The Jeep was Wrecked in 3 Different Places and Full of Rust. I would never do business with this company unless you want to get Screwed. They Should Be In Jail For What They Do , Much Less should Be Out Of Business !!!!!!!!!!!! JOHN IS THE BIGGEST LIAR THAT EVER WALKED ON 2 FEET !!!!!!!!!! BEWARE !!!! BEWARE!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Steven Lyons

This place a complete ripoff and John is a complete liar. He uses eBay to protect him on selling cars over 10 years old with major defects that he can list in great condition and get away with it. Then he will agree to pay for the problems only after positive feedback and you will never hear from him again or for the him to send the money he agreed to pay. John Edmonson is a crook and anyone looking to buy look somewhere else before you get robbed.

  • Brian Tucker

I purchased an SUV from Auto Depot Inc. through ebay. I have bought about 10 cars on ebay, and this was by far the best experience I have had. John, the owner, helped me transport it to Orlando so I could use it while on vacation, arranged for transport to Colorado, and even sent me a coupon for parking at the airport. John went above and beyond expectations to make this the easiest purchase I have made. I would recommend this company to anyone.

  • Morgan Watkins

Mercedes E350 we bought from 99noreserve in July is full of problems. It was quoted $8000 to rebuild the transmission, unless the car would not shift 3rd gear. The owner John would lie to your face about the "almost new" condition and hold your car hostage before you leave him a positive feedback on eBay after you have already paid. Stay away from this shop would save yourself a lot of headache later.

  • Car Smile

The prior negative reviews posted here were reviews related to AUTO DEPOT which was a business located at this address but moved to a different location years ago. CAR SMILE is a great, reputable Pre-owned Car Dealership and they definitely do provide "A BETTER WAY TO BUY A CAR" and they also add a warranty to EVERY CAR they sell. Highly recommended!

  • Tokyo Drift

Dishonest seller. Only sells junk. Car we bought would not even start. Do your research. John is a liar and a crook. His ebay 99noreserve's feedback is rigged. Whenever a real customer exposes him here, he claims that it is from a competitor. Lol, who is he going to compete with crook?

  • Istvan Kiraly

WARNING! Check the car before you buy, you might have upcoming surprises. Junk battery, missing spare tyre, crashed suspension, matts missing, dash melting, etc, etc. After eBay review period is over (60 days), seller stops responding, drops promises

  • Trayvon Martin

Crook. Just a liar and a crook with fake positive feedback. This guy bribes you into leaving positive feedback before you leave the lot. Then when you discover all the lies and hidden problems it is too late.

  • Silas Lagoy

Bought a 05 expedition off of eBay, super promt communication! Ended up have 2 coils bad (which is a common problem with Triton motors, with just a phone call, John offered to cover $200 out of the $330 bill.
