I have been going here for over 10 years for 2 dogs and have always received great care; no where else is as personable or reliable or as straight forward with realistic outcomes and options. I recently got into an accident that had one my dog needing urgent care for hitting her head and cracking 7 teeth. Not only was surgery was scheduled quickly but I had aftercare concerns at 9pm at night to which I was able to go back into the clinic to have my dog checked over at no additional cost. You will not find anyone like Dr. Ponce and her team. When other friends had an animal emergency during the day and no one else would see them urgently or same day; Dr. Ponce's team finds a way to make it happen. I have tried other clinics as I've moved around the valley but I always am disappointment. Don't think twice or debate between clinics, just come here. You will be so happy in the long run.

I can't recommend Avenues Pet Clinic enough. You can just tell that all the staff there loves your animals and wants to provide them the best care possible. They have always been straightforward and communicative with me in terms of billing and expenses. I have had two animals, a dog and a cat, both develop infected wounds, and Avenues Pet Clinic allowed me to drop my pets off for a full day of wound care and compresses and salt baths, every day for almost two consecutive weeks, at absolutely zero charge. They are the best. Take your animals to Avenues Pet Clinic!! My dog hates strangers and usually barks at them, but she licks the faces of all the techs at Avenues Pet Clinic because they take such good care of her. The Avenues Pet Clinic is the best in Salt Lake. They care so deeply about our cat, we could instantly feel that. We found them after being quoted thousands of dollars by another place. When we took them to the Avenues instead, their quote was over half of that amount, and they were so kind! We desperately needed our 12-year-old cat's teeth looked at, we knew he likely had some bad teeth. He was in pain so they got him in within a week. They extracted many of his teeth while leaving him as many as they could so he could still be a cat and do cat things. They called to check on him after he came home which meant the world. This is the only clinic we trust. It took us too long to find them. I would recommend this clinic to anyone. They're special. It's uncommon to find a business like this one anymore.

Words cannot express my gratitude and appreciation for Dr. Ponce and the entire Avenues Pet Clinic staff. My 13 year old cat, Toby, had a very tough struggle with cancer. Dr. Ponce and her team took the time to love and care for Toby as if he was their own cat and their world class care was able to buy us a few extra special months with our precious boy. When his cancer returned and we unfortunately had to put him to sleep, Dr. Ponce and her staff were the most caring and comforting through the entire process and it is an experience I will always be grateful for. I’d also like to recognize Elise, Katie and all of the vet techs for their amazing and loving hearts and their special care for our sweet boy. I cannot recommend Avenues Pet Clinic enough, they are truly world class and worth every cent.

Avenues has been my clinic for nearly a decade. I have taken several animals here over the years. Dr. Ponce is always friendly, and willing to answer questions in person and over the phone. The staff is always kind as well. It seems like unfavorable interactions are unavoidable when it comes to the vet, and I've had several instances of very (like VERY) bad care at other clinics, but not here. My sweet cat, Persephone, had one kidney due to negligence (putting it nicely) at another vet. Once she was stabilized, Dr Ponce is the only person I trusted to work with my kidney specialist on my baby's care. I would definitely recommend this vet.

We recently adopted Aang, who was a stray cat in our friend’s neighborhood. We took him to Avenues Pet Clinic for neuter, microchip, & vaccinations. The vet techs were extremely sweet & made him feel so at ease. As a stray cat, we anticipated him to be nervous, but he warmed up to them as soon as he met them. They really went out of their way to take care of him & treated him with such kindness. He has healed up quickly, with no complications & it’s all thanks to the vet & staff who are wonderful at their jobs. You can truly tell animal lovers when you meet them. This is a great place to bring pets for vet care!

I've been taking my cat to Avenues Pet Clinic for about 5 years, just for vaccinations and checkups. Well, my cat just had a dental emergency, and they were able to get her in immediately for a cleaning and extractions same-day. They were very upfront about possible risks and cost, and the final charge was pretty reasonable considering the situation. I loved how on a previous visit, Dr. Ponce described my cat as "spirited" versus the truth that she is an actual monster! Everyone on the staff is friendly and informative. I'll continue coming back for the rest of my cat's years.

Dr. Ponce and her team are not only experts in their field, but also compassionate and caring people. They supported my husband and I through our senior girl, Lily's, heart murmur and hyperparathyroidism diagnoses without missing a beat. We always felt our girl was loved and cared for by the best! And we were lucky to have Dr. Ponce and her team at our side through the end. Our girl finally passed at 14 years young after enjoying her golden years as a creek-splashing, tail-wagging hiker, camper, and cuddle monster. Thank you Dr. Ponce and everyone for everything.

We switched to avenues pet clinic after having some bad experiences at a different vet. I had avoided Avenues because I assumed they’d be expensive. But compared to the vet we went to before, they are actually a lot more affordable. Dr. Ponce always takes the time to explain things and doesn’t do the common “fear mongering” that I feel some vets do. She’s very matter of fact and down to earth and will give you different options when possible on how to proceed with care for your pet. The staff at the front desk is also always lovely. It’s always stressful to have a sick pet and need to look for a place quick. I always get anxious about pricing and haven’t had good experiences in the past with clinics up charging random fees but this place is very upfront/direct and I truly appreciate that!! They were so patient and kind to my cat My appointment was about an hour and a half for a last minute visit. Thankful they were able to help get Bianca feeling better :)

I have nothing but great things to say about the Avenues Pet Clinic. Dr. Ponce is such a great doctor and I have used her since 2000 for all of my pets. She is very honest and trustworthy and I always trust her judgement and appreciate her compassion and guidance. this was our first time at avenues pet clinic, and they went above and beyond our expectations. sadly, we had to put down our 14 year old cat. they treated all of us with compassion, love, and patience. dr. ponce was very honest about his condition and the low likelihood of him making a full recovery. we are sure we made the right choice, regardless of how difficult it is not having him here.

I've been taking all of my kitties to Avenues Pet Clinic from the beginning of their care. I take all three in at once, and they make it a quick and easy process. The entire staff, including the front desk and techs, are super sweet and knowledgable. Dr. Ponce is always thorough, straightforward, and always backs me up on my concerns. I won't trust anyone else with my kids!

Waited over an hour to see the vet for a yearly checkup. No apology for the wait. Had to ask specific questions about the checkup to know what she noticed. I’m not sure they would’ve even told me about additional services needed if I didn’t ask…isn’t that the point of a checkup? Overall just feels like they don’t really care. The technician was really kind, though :).

Wow I am impressed with Avenues Pet clinic. I lost my cat Junior to cancer last year and was very painful for me to return to a vet’s office. However, my other cat, Stella Blue, needed to be seen for vaccines and a possible UTI. I totally loved how kind they are from Dr. Ponce to Elise and all the staff. I definitely recommend! A++++

they’re all about the experience, they allow drop offs, which is convenient for busy families that work. And you always get a consultation with the doctor after or when you come and pick up your pet. They supply you with the medication and or any support you need. If you don’t have a regular vet, I recommend avenues pet clinic.

Went in for a second opinion on a skin issue that the puppers was experiencing. The staff was all friendly and explained all of the steps they were doing for the diagnosis. I feel like Tsunami's health was their highest concern. Will continue to go to Avenues Pet Clinic from here on out for Tsunami's health needs.

I have been to this clinic over the years for various animals and they have always been kind and helpful. Their prices are reasonable and they will always try to work with you to get a sick visit scheduled in a timely manner. I appreciate their transparency with cost before anything is done for my animals.

The vet techs and vet were great with my cats even though my cats were not very well behaved (to say the least). They were super patient and gentle with both cats and gave me great information on the vaccines including cost and length of coverage. I will definitely be back.

Everyone there was very kind and gentle with my Shorkie puppy. It's a nice atmosphere and the prices are reasonable. I'll go back. The only negative thing is the very limited amount of parking. You really have to get lucky to get a spot other than that it's fantastic.
