I don't usually give such bad reviews, but I am absolutely hurt. We've been coming to this vet for awhile, especially for my very sick dog. I never really got the vibe that they wanted to do all they could for him, or at least it didn't come from much sympathy. Anyways that's not the point. We put our trust into them, when we finally had to bring our dog in one last time, it was his last, he was gone for two hours, when we would make the call. When we brought his body in, they had us lay him on the table on the blanket we brought him in. No less than 5 minutes, they were shoving catalogs in our face(well of course that's how it felt), what box we wanted, what bag we wanted, and what we wanted it to say. Right in the middle of the decision making, a random guy came from the back, asking if we wanted the blanket back. Everything got filled out, I asked if we could see him one last time, but it was too late, they already put his body in the very back I guess. 4 weeks later, on Friday (yesterday). I gave them a call wondering where his box was, we were expecting him last week, let alone that's one of the hardest phone calls to make. I was told, on that phone call, that they got his box in on Wednesday, which stumped me... They said they tried giving a call to one of the numbers on the paper we signed. We have no such call, no message, hell they didn't even try the other number. Maybe a second call? No. They coldly told me that I could come and pick him up, that they closed at 5. They said "yeah sorry about that"... Anyways, right after work, I shot over there, my blood boiling. I haven't felt so offended in a long time, especially in such a sensitive situation. I started off with asking for someone to talk to about this issue. They told me that "oh yeah, we actually got his box in yesterday"(Thursday). Told me it was their half day, so they were "too busy" to call. "They were going to call on Friday." Remember I am more than half way done into my 8 hour shift at work! I had to make the call! I had to ask hey where are my dead dog's remains And they were quote "too busy." Not 10 minutes they could have taken to make a call or two. Are you kidding me? It's like his value meant nothing to them or us. It destroyed me! I can never return after this, . I instantly asked for the records of our other dog we brought here, and left. Nothing was done to make me feel any better, just excuse after excuse. No accountability, just blaming the time consuming company they use for the cremation. Apparently it's the company's fault. I got another "sorry about that." Even right now I am typing this and crying. I'm distraught... dumbfounded... I don't like making reviews like this, I really don't, but damn this killed me. I hope i'm not the only one who would react in such a matter. I'll never return or even think twice about this place. Good luck when it comes to giving your hope and trust into this place, when giving your beloved to them... "Too busy"

I am very disappointed with Dr. Bellman’s ability to act professionally and empathetically (most 1 star reviews seem to feel the same). My dog becomes very anxious at the vet, which leads to escape behaviors during treatment/evaluation. Not ideal, I know, and something to work on. But every time we’ve seen Dr. Bellman, he’s shown a lack of empathy, patience, and seemingly disdain with me and my dog due to my dog’s lack of calmness and compliance. It really seems like any behavior other than near complete compliance is something that Dr. Bellman has a low tolerance with, and he doesn’t make efforts to interact with my dog in a way that might make him feel more comfortable. An example….During my last visit, my dog (very anxious to be at the vet) was having a hard time sitting still as Dr. Bellman tried to check out something on his face, but my dog was trying to escape the interaction. When he finally got a quick look at my dogs face, he mentioned not seeing anything, so I offered to show him the picture I’d taken earlier in the day so he could get an idea of what it looked like, and also, where to look. He dismissively told me he needs to see it in person in a tone that came off as if I was stupid. Throughout the rest of the visit, he made multiple demeaning comments, at one point laughing at me and looking at me in the most off-handed rude way all while I was trying to talk to him about what I was seeing and as I was trying to get my dog to comply/calm down. Like I mentioned before, he made no efforts to interact with my dog in a way that might increase compliance, or make him feel more comfortable. And he didn’t seem interested or to acknowledge my concern that the wound on my dogs face had gotten worse over the last two days. Unfortunately, these types of interactions with Dr. Bellman are not new, as every visit I’ve had with him has come with an undertone of dismissiveness…I remember when my dog was 5 or 6 months old and he seemed absolutely appalled that my dog was responding anxiously, and chastised me. On top of all of this, I have seen him mistreat staff as well (who have all been very kind and helpful towards me/ my dog). As a result of all of this, I myself am anxious to see him and needless to say, I will no longer subject my dog or myself to Dr. Bellman's dismissiveness and poor treatment. I can’t speak much to treatment other than vaccine/booster appointments. He did stitch him up while he was under anesthesia, as well as neuter him. Treatment was as expected.

If you want your pets to live, do not come here. This doctor is the WORST. My dog has been having issues this past year. When I would bring her in for a visit, the doctor would cut me off in mid sentence and not listen to my observations/concerns. He wouldn't even take a look at the video I have of my dog, showing him the issue. I just figured he was in a hurry, and trusted him. Most recently, I made an appointment for a full blood panel to get some answers. After waiting for a week to get in, a day before the appt, I get a phone call and am asked to reschedule for the next week because the doctor spontaneously decided to go on vacation. When I said I couldn't, the receptionist asked if we could come in right then. When we went, the doctor was extremely rude, and in a rush. He did the blood panel and a check up, but shooed us out the door with out any post care information or advice. I called the next day to have the diagnostics emailed to me, and I was informed that he DID NOT do a thyroid test on her and that "HE WILL DO IT IN JANUARY when she gets her teeth cleaned". ummmm EXCUSE ME You mean to tell me that you charged me for services that I didn't get? The receptionist confirmed. When I asked what they were going to do to fix it, she said the doctor will send me a check. Those blood panel tests are not cheap. After waiting for over a month, I finally received a TWENTY DOLLAR check. Why didn't they just do the Thyroid test? It doesn't make sense to me. Why didn't they tell me the day of? Its so shady! I went to get a second opinion and it turns out that my dog had ASPIRATION PNEUMONIA for some time and it could've turned septic!!!! I literally maxed out a credit card getting xrays and antibiotics for her due to his lack of care. I can't imagine how many pets have died because of his recklessness. Do not take your pets here. The only good thing about this place was Lindsay. She was very attentive and did all she could to make this better. I hope she gets another job far away from that place. She deserves better. Just like out pets.

I had taken my two cats here shortly after getting my second one for vaccines. I had mentioned to the vet that my oldest cat had behavioral issues around the newer one which is to be expected. The vet didn't seem to really care about what I had to say and my concerns. He had briefly suggested to me that if my oldest cats behavior didn't change I could come back and get calming medication for him. I told the Vet I would exhaust my other options i.e. CBD, camling collars, etc. Before getting a prescription. A few months passed and my other options were not working so I called in to get an appointment for my oldest cat. The receptionist was kind and told me she would ask the vet what to do. Again, I was coming back upon suggestion from the same vet. She came back and told me to just get rid of one of my cats, that it'll just be easier that way and there was no possible way for them to get along at this point. I had told her the vet mentioned calming medication I could put my cat on and she said it wasn't effective enough. Then why did the vet even mention it in the first place? I hadn't even had a chance to explain the situation before they said over the phone it couldn't be helped and I should just get rid of one of them. I was very upset after the call abruptly ended. I care deeply for my animals, and will do anything before I give them back to the shelter, but the entire interaction made me feel like I was a bad pet owner for not giving one up for a few behavioral problems. The main, or only vet, doesn't seem to care about your concerns or really about the animals themselves. To say it's easier to just get rid of your animal then to work with them just seems lazy to me. Not a very good practice and if you see this before they delete this review please find another place for your animal.

Listen to the other low star reviews about this veterinarian. The building is clean and the techs are nice. The vet is noticeably greedy and unprofessional. First time I went here was for routine vaccines and a general check up. At the end of it he tried to secretly add medication to my bill without telling me anything about it. When I asked about it he was visibly upset with me and his technician because I didn't automatically buy it and his tech didn't make the sale. I leave their office and try to check my dog into a new daycare. The daycare calls me back after an hour because my dog didn't have all of his shots and that I would need to come pick him up. Come to find out the vet didn't give it to him for some reason so we had to go back in again. That should've been enough of a red flag for me to switch vets but it wasn't. Fast forward half a year later and my dog gets sick. I call to make an appointment but they don't work on Thursday so the tech tells me to come pick up some medicine on Friday morning. So I come in on Friday and the vet was just as rude and unprofessional as before. We were scheduling an appointment when he looked at me in the eyes and laughed at me for some reason I'll never understand. It was such an awkward and unprofessional moment that I felt inclined to let it be seen to the public. You can find decent vet services here if you're in a pinch, but make sure that the bare minimum is what you're looking for in a vet. Vet Services 2/5 Customer Service 2/5 Building Cleanliness 5/5

I would 100% recommend this place. Not only because the doctor himself seemed to know his sh^t, but because of Lindsay one of the veterinary assistants. She answered the phone right away, she was just how else can I put this.... FREAKIN AWESOME!! No company, no people in general have customer service anymore, Lindsay went beyond that!! You can tell this gal LOVES what she does! She answered all my questions & the answers she didn't know; she wasn't afraid to say I don't know, let me go ask the doctor (which I appreciate) there were 2 other gals working the day I went in & they were stuck up rude to my kids (my dogs) & I, not to mention I could hear them talking about Lindsay behind her back, 1 had long dark hair and black makeup I think she is a know-it-all & the other one sat and made funny stupid smiles answering things she didn't know. The office was clean, the doctor didn't really want to let me talk but I was okay with that because he really seemed to know what he was talking about. Lindsay talked to me on the phone as she was making the appointment, telling me how good the doctor was, and they he saved the life of her baby & although I'd never been in & I had never met this woman I felt I could trust her. (SO GLAD I DID!!) I will go back to this place, as long as Lindsay is there!! Lindsay, I know you said you were loyal, but if you ever need a job, let me know! Doctor, you're a smart man, but you'd be even smarter if you NEVER LET HER GO!!!! Thanks for the WONDERFUL CARE!!!!!!!

I rescued my fur baby and she was in bad shape. She was abused and used for breeding only. She had never even been to a Vet prior to when I rescued her. I took her to Pet Stop to get her spayed, a full workup, dental cleaning, etc. and I couldn't be more grateful that I found such an amazing Doctor for my baby!!! He literally saved her life!!! What I thought would be a routine spay turned out to be she had a serious infection in her fallopian tubes. She wouldn't have survived another week to two weeks if it hadn't been for Doctor Belman!!! I am eternally grateful!!! After the successful surgery and she recovered, I was worried about everything because of how poorly she was treated before I found her. I called Doctor Belman over eberything!! Even small things like she isn't being spunky and he literally took my call every single time and let me bring my baby in despite how busy he was to make sure she was OK. I have never found a Vet that cares so much about his patients and honestly treats them as they are just as much his family as they are your own!!! I cannot be more grateful for Doctor Belman!!! He truly cares and saved my baby's life!!! I don't just recommend him, I STRONGLY advise you to take your fur babies to him!!! I moved away and am still willing to drive 5 hours there just so he can take care of my baby!!! If you love your babies as much as I do then Doctor Belman is the BEST choice!!!

Very reasonable prices for a vet's office. We paid just about $400 for our cat to get spayed and have a microchip implanted. My cat has recovered well and I have no concerns about the care she received. Overall, I had a good experience with this clinic, but there were a few concerns that stuck out to me. 1. They spelled my cat's name and my name wrong. To be fair, my last name is unusual, but my cat's name is not. 2. When she came home from the vet after getting spayed, her microchip fell out. I was told it was placed by a tech who was in training/new. This was concerning to me as I was not expecting my cat to be a training experience without being told. I had to come back in later that week to have it placed again. 3. I was charged for a $95 office visit without being told as part of the total cost. I understand vets often require office visits to establish new patients and make sure they are in good health, especially before a big surgery. That is totally fine, but if am going to be charged for an office visit, I would expect to be told that it was required and get to actually have it. We dropped off our cat and picked her up without ever speaking to the vet about her general health/care. I had to bring it up myself and request to meet with the vet for a general office visit since I had paid for it, which they then accommodated.

What started out as a routine dental quickly turned into something that was more emergent. While I understand that things come up during routine cleanings; The communication itself lacked between the doctor, front desk staff and then to us as clients. When I called to get more info; The front desk staff would need to go back and forth to get answers because the doctor wasn't able to talk. Given that the procedure was more emergent, I should have talked with the doctor from the start. When I did ask questions to the receptionist; All of a sudden the phone started beeping and then the doctor got on. Then when I would try and talk, the doctor would cut me off. I am grateful that my cat is okay and that they did take care of her for this issue. But this vet REALLY needs to work on the communication between himself with clients and within his office staff. When a client finds out their beloved pet may have a life threatening disease they will be frazzled and panicked. Bedside manner is a MUST in this field....I of all people would know since that is the very reason I left this field was because of the heartache. If you want a vet who will work with you price wise then this is a good vet to go to. But this is not a vet who listens very well and has a calm demeanor...If I could give them 2.5 I would.

Dr. Belman and staff have been taking care of my dogs for over 12 years now. If you want to go to a veterinary clinic where it eventually feels like you're a part of a family, this is the place. Even though it isn't super fancy, I guarantee that Dr. Belman knows his stuff and you will receive the best of care. Over the years I have been to Sugarhouse vet, university vet, avenues vet, cottonwood animal hospital and they are all great but not in my area. Also, I am a tad obsessive when it comes to my mutts. Recently my youngest dog started having seizures. Dr. Belman scheduled me an appointment to go over emergency protocol because I was so upset. After 10 days of being on keppra alone she had another one. It was a Sunday so I called the office to leave a message about setting up an appointment for monday morning. Within minutes Dr. Belman had called me back. He told me what to do next and what we would do to get her seizures under control, which is exactly what I needed to hear. So if you don't need all the bells and whistles of a larger veterinary clinic, Petstop is a solid choice.

My dogs are patients at Banfield in SLC. I pay $140 a month for the wellness plan. When my 11 month heeler became sick to her stomach with intestinal problems quite suddenly several nights ago, I was on the phone with Banfield as soon as they opened the next morning. They couldn't fit her in, and I was told to call the other area Banfields. No, no, no, no from all of them. I was on the cancellation list with all of them. My Banfield location made an appointment for her 10 days out! Absolutely no consideration for a sick patient nor a consult over the phone with a vet. You cannot get past the front desk! I called Pet Shop and the kindest women I talked to all day set an appointment up for her the very next morning! I felt so relieved after bringing her in and our vet was outstanding and caring. She wasn't as ill as I had been dreading, and was sent home with medications, and I was finally relieved! As very soon as I can get out of the contracts I have with Banfield, Pet Shop Veterinary Clinic will be my new clinic! I highly recommend them, and they have a great plan there too!

Would give it negative stars if I could. I took my small chihuahua to petstop today to get shots and my pup was scared and so the vet tried to put a mussel on him and he started to freak out and the vet threw the mussel frustrated and then grabbed a blanket to put over his head and my pup started to pee and poop from being scared and he started to freak out and the vet grabbed my dog and man handled him and told me “this will be better off if he was away from mom” and took him into a another room without asking me if that’d be best, which wasn’t, and then heard my dog SCREAMING and yelping and brought him back and my boyfriend told him that that wasn’t okay for him to do to just take him like that without asking us first if that was okay and the vet did apologize but it didn’t seem genuine. It seemed like he was frustrated and didn’t even want to deal with this a proper more caring way and wanted to get it done and over with. Will not recommend this place, and will not be returning.

We highly recommend this Vet Clinic. We are from Arizona and my husband got a Workshop in Utah for 4 days. We brought our 2 month old Basset Hound with us and unfortunately he got real sick during that trip. Being new to the place, we didnt really know any Vet Clinic. We started searching and this clinic was the nearest to our hotel. We brought our sick puppy and the staff were so accommodating. Special thanks to Dr. Cunningham and Simon, such amazing people! Sadly, our puppy was diagnosed with strong positive parvo and we were so worried but they were both so helpful. They really care and gave us assistance with everything we have to do. Even when we were back in Arizona, Dr. Cunningham still answered our phone calls and answered our questions. Our puppy was sick for 8 days and now he is 4 months old and is doing great. He's a parvo survivor! Thank you Dr. Cunningham and Simon!

If I could give this vet zero stars I would. The pictures are misleading.. it’s in a bad part of town and the facility is very rundown and gross. They totally overcharged me, especially considering the vet spent less than five minutes with me both of the times I came in. He completely overlooked the severity of my kitty’s illness. Didn’t take the time to understand what was wrong or give me a thoughtful diagnosis or treatment plan, he just chalked his symptoms up to stress, gave him a shot and sent us on our way. After my kitty failed to get any better I decided to take him elsewhere. The new vet was completely appalled when I told him about the treatment I received at Pet Stop and he also said he would have never given my cat the shot that they gave him at Pet Stop. I ended up having to put my kitty down less than a week later. If you love your pet DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE!

This Clinic is within minutes from our home. We had an incident where our dog was bit on the neck and was in shock and was not moving. The vet, which was a man, told us our dog was paralyzed and needed to be put down, or we could take her home and she would most likely not survive the night. We could not bring ourselves to put her down, so we decided to go to an ER vet for a second opinion. What do you know, one week after the ER visit, our dog has made a 90% recovery and is walking fine. I could not believe the vet at the Pet Stop was so far off on his prognosis. WE ALMOST PUT OUR DOG DOWN!!! I would like to advise anyone who is thinking about going to the Pet Stop, to not!! They might tell you your dog needs to be put down for no reason. Plus the girl that has answered the phone a few times, is RUDE!

  • David Skorut

After the 10-minute visit, they charged me $90 and insisted I purchase eye drops for $40. The exact drops can be purchased for $12.99 online. The office will nickel-and-dime you by taking advantage of your concern for your furry friend. Veterinarian was condescending and did not listen to concerns; he assumed the problem was the opposite of what I had described. I asked him to look into “the eye on the left” and he was hung up on the fact I didn’t say “my animal’s right eye,” like a man of the theatre who was butt-hurt I didn’t use the term “stage-left.” I appreciate they saw me so quickly and the front desk staff was kind. Likely this review won’t stay up long, but if you get the chance to see if before they pay Google AdSense to remove it, I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

So a friend took her chiwawa to this clinic. Honestly I was only impressed with one of the tech associates, she had answers to questions on what to possibly expect in the future and she was able to sympathize and show care to our concerns (Sparky has nose cancer). The other tech was very nice. The vet was kinda rude and I felt he didn't really give us any answer unless we ask him questions. He seemed reluctant that he had to even help us. I felt no care/love or sympathy. The place was clean. The 2 techs were very nice. Personal if my cat was to get sick, I wouldn't bring her here. My cat is my only child, she's my baby, she's my family, my best friend. If I felt the vet had no "care or love" from the vet. Why would I want and how is he treating my cat behind closed doors.

  • Melanie Russell

Literally double what other places charge, but I was desperate to take care of my kitties and they could tell. Every other place had at least a week wait, and now I know why. It's tiny so you and your pets will be treated well. But if you're like me, $2000 of dental work for two cats is brutal. I can't recommend this place, because I won't be going back after they gave me a massive quote and then went way over the amount they quoted. Also, I think they gave an excessive amount of drugs. My cats have been high for two days, their pupils are dilated still, they are having trouble walking, and haven't slept at all. I told this to the girl who called the next day to check on them, and she did not seem to be concerned or even listening.

When my mom passed away, I inherited her dog, Lucy. Lucy has been depressed and lethargic ever since (I think she hates me). So I took her to Pet Stop. Dr. Belman was very helpful and informative, and he was always careful to let me know about the costs of different types of tests and treatments...so I could make informed choices. It turns out Lucy wasn't depressed, and she doesn't hate me! She just has some kinda messed-up hormone thing going on. So now, Lucy is on some really great dope, and in only a week, she is so much more energetic and happy. Today, she wagged her tail for the first time in months. (Maybe I should try some of this stuff.) Anyway...Pet Stop is great!

  • Jeff Jones

Doctor Belman, and his entire staff, were nothing less than spectacular in the care provided our quadrupedal friend. I must also point out how well they handled the bipedal variety as well. I would not hesitate one bit in recommending this facility for the care of any animal, though I'm biased to the canine myself. I also want to point out that doctor Belman, without prodding, hassling, haggling or otherwise offers his services at such a reasonable price, all previously mentioned activity seemed pointless and even trivial to pursue. I cannot thank you enough, you've truly earned me as a patient('s owner) for as long as you are in business.

First time taking my male guinea pig to the vet for a check up and the vet was very unprofessional as well as very rough with my pet guinea pig, he used to be a happy little guy until I took him to that vet now every time I try to pick him up he chatters his teeth at me. The doctor there seemed to be on some type of drug or something, he wouldnt let us explain what we thought was going on with him or what his symptoms were and would rudely interrupt us and after only a 5 minute checkup they charged me over 100 dollars just for him to hurt my guinea pig, will never be taking my exotic pets here again. Doctor there is a crack head or worse

  • Priscilla Kawakami

My pets have all been taken care of by Dr. Belman for several years. My earlier dogs, Spuds and Cynthia, made it to 16 and 17 years respectively with his good care. Now Tucker and Watson and Max the cat all go to Dr. Belman. The care they get is excellent and the caring veterinary team helps with all questions and problems that arise. Max is very touchy about being groomed, even got expelled from a professional groomer half clipped and looking bizarre. I took him to Pet Stop and he got clipped, got his teeth cleaned, and his nails clipped. I trust them with my pets which as people know is like trusting them with my children.

Slow, unprofessional, disorganized back alley medicine practiced in, literally, the most disgusting drug-filled, homeless epicenter of the state. Go somewhere else. You'll be glad you did. If you want to be talked over, ignored, and dismissed without any concern for you or your pet's well being then this is the perfect place for you. Dr. Bellman has a room temperature IQ when it comes to client education and overall service. You can tell he's not interested in practing quality medicine any longer; only collecting a check until he can sell this slowly failing clinic.

So happy I found a Vet close to me with great care and affordable prices! I love supporting West side businesses and wish I had known about them many years ago. I went in for my cat who had an abscess and they were accommodating with me coming in almost at closing. The next time I brought my dog, and bought the pet plan. I can get a full year of care AND her teeth cleaned, for LESS than it would cost at other Vet's just to clean her teeth. He also spent time with me to explain everything that he did, and to make sure I didn't have any questions. Great place!

  • Emina Ibrahimovic

The best vet in town. I couldn’t get into my usual vet for a week but my cat was acting strange. These guys got me in right away and I sadly had to put her down. The tests they did on her were the same ones my old vet did and they never told me anything was wrong with her. I will never take my pets anywhere else. With COVID you can’t go in but the vet actually comes out to talk to you, he doesn’t do it over the phone like other vets in the valley. I took my new cat here right away and they treated him so well. Love these guys. Thank you for all you do!!

  • Human Enhancement

I appreciate the fact the vet was willing to change my time for a time slot earlier in the week. However, every ither experience was downright horrible. They take your pet and leave you out in your car due to corona protocol. He came out and asked us how old the cat was after we told him she was a rescue. Isn't he the professional that should evaluate the age? We felt rushed the entire time. He also presisted she get all the vaccines when we only wanted to do the rabbies. I dont usually leave less than 5 star reviews, but I felt prompted to do so here.

We love our neighborhood vet clinic! My dog Ernest literally LOVES going to the vet. He gets so excited when I open the door and can’t wait to go back with the vet techs. My dog gets foxtails in his ears all the time so we come in a lot, and the clinic has always been so accommodating for us to drop him off in the morning and squeeze him in when they have time. They are great at communicating too! Our favorite vet tech is Lindsay, my dog loves her so much and you can really tell Lindsay cares for the patients so well and loves her job too.

Honestly 100% recommend my boy kilo came in for a neuter and I was more nervous then him coming in to a new veterinarian spot but the support they showed by putting him in a separate room from the other dogs cuz kilos a lil shy guy and I left him with them confidently before I left him and when I arrived to pick him up he comes running up with a big smile and happy as ever and I was more then happy to pay the price and take my boy home with medication to help and I feel like when kilo has an issue he will come here and be treated good !!

I was a faithful client at Pet Stop for many years (2013-2019). Over the years, my experience with Pet Stop has been very positive. I have switched my new kitten to a new clinic because I was disappointed by the lack of care and concern afforded my 17 year old cat. He endured a lot of pain during his last few days of life and was offered no relief at this clinic. He was sent home, in pain, to die. I understand that they could not prevent his death, but he should not have had to tolerate the excruciating pain he was in for several days.

Once the doctor finally was in to talk to me he kept talking over me and saying that all the problems I came in for with my ball python were normal when they are not normal and he said they're nothing to worry about. my snake is making popping noises and coughing, which is not normal and I mentioned the slight scale rot on her belly and she said that it's just her coloration (which it is not). And he couldn't even get a weight on my snake, thankfully I weighed her before I came in. Over all I am not happy and will not be going back.

I took my male guinea pig in to be neutered. The Dr actually answered the phone and asked appropriate questions regarding breeding and my reason for neutering him. My little fellow came home and he was not lethargic or slow to move, he was ready to go. I have had no problems with his incision site and would recommend this veterinarian, he also came out to my car and answered all questions. His staff was also extremely friendly and very supportive of their work environment. I would definitely go to him again for my guinea pig needs

We really love Petstop. Their insurance plan has been great for maintenance and unexpected needs. We recently had two pets come up sick at the same time and they fit both in together really quick. They are fast and efficient and can be brisk, so be ready with your questions, but they take amazing care of our friends. We also had to put down a beloved cat last year, and they were so kind and respectful through the process, and sent a kind card after. Very grateful for this level of care and skill in our west side neighborhood.

So far so great, a local vet I decided to check out, the only reason they got 4 star's instead of 5 is because they got my name and my pets gender wrong. All 4 visits have been grand and we have another set up already if all goes well they get to see all 6 of my pets. And there prices are very competitive especially in care package deals. Update All has been great and yes they see all my pets, I personally appreciate everyone I've come across there especially Dr Bellman and still the prices aren't as outrageous as other's.

  • Keven Nielsen

My cat needed a teeth cleaning, they told me it is $300. Expensive but I have no choice. I was hoping there were no extractions but they told me everything went well with no extractions, cool so it will be $300. I went to pay and it is $550 not $300!! Oh we forgot to mention you pay for the anesthesia separately. So I paid $550 for a teeth cleaning, I had no choice. If they would have told me it was going to be $550 I would have found a less expensive alternative! Otherwise it is a good vet clinic but i wont be returning

I really like Dr. Bellman. My fury baby was diagnosed with mammary tumors and he was very good about being upfront about her diagnosis and explaining my options as far as treatment. His prices were reasonable and has pet health packages you can purchase - whiched saved me even more money on my fury baby's treatments. He staff is very professional and friendly. He was recommended to me and very happy he was. Still with Dr. Bellman (3 years) and appreciate how he and his staff take care of my pets.

I felt like the guy didn't even want to listen. I took my dog in here for anal gland problems. I told him they were just expressed a week ago that i thought it was more serious. He expressed him anyways and charged me for it. A couple days later the smell is back, i call and ask what to do now. Just come in and pay us again for what we should have done the first time. He wouldn't even credit me for the next procedure. I will never go back to a place that is that disrespectful.

  • Maria F (Castawayirons)

We've been really happy with Pet Stop as our veterinarian for years. We've had a dog have a hematoma in his ear removed, and stitches in his leg from the time he decided to try and jump through a window to bark at the mailman. They have also helped take care of one anxiety filled cat and supported us when one feline furbaby fell ill suddenly and passed away despite every possible effort and around the clock care. Just an exceptional doctor and staff here at this little clinic.

  • Cait Brobst

High quality service and very reasonably priced! Woke up this morning to a cat with an injured paw that clearly needed to be checked out. Pet Stop was able to squeeze us in immediately, and got us all sorted out in half the time and with half the bill I expected! I was thrilled (my cat with the now shaved paw, less so). The clinic looks well maintained and all of the staff were very professional. I plan to go here for all of my vet needs. I would highly recommend.

  • Andrea G

That took great care of my Jinx, he is a two year old ferret. I spent the morning trying to get him in to see a vet, no one in salt lake could see him, but Pet Stop did! I was so relieved it was urgent and though, I never had taken him there before, they where happy to see him. It's so hard when you're trying to find a vet for exotic pets. Anyways they fixed my baby up and treated us with respect. It's a great place I highly recommend.

  • K. Phillips

Our Dog has Epilepsy and requires constant supervision due to the severity of the seizures. Dr Bellman and staff were wonderful We left Diamond while we attended to business and when we returned we immediately knew Diamond received excellent care and supervision This is a terrific Veterinary practice with qualified caring staff. We use them on every trip to Slat Lake. If you expect the best care for your pet this is the place to go.

  • Geni

My dog got very sick and I had scheduled a vet appointment here. She didnt make it to the appointment. I called them to schedule her cremation and they where very kind and sensitive. They where very nice to me and my family. This was my first time losing a pet and they where all very helpful and caring. And after wrighting this review I got a letter from them sending there condolences♡ so I came back to edit it. Thank you

  • Aurora Sanborn

I couldn't recommend them enough. My sweet great dane got diagnosed with parvo. I informed them i was tight on money and they made sure that she got taken care of and that i could afford it. They informed me of everything i needed to know about taking care of her at home, and when i called to follow up on some symptoms, they had her seen within the hour. Wonderful, helpful, and informative staff. Thank you guys so much.

  • Breàna Allegrini

We are so happy to have found Dr. Belman and staff. We've been using them for about 3 years now and have never had any complaints. They're responsive, communicative, and willing to work with you to ensure the best affordable care for your pets. All of the staff are absolutely delightful and so helpful, could not recommend this clinic enough. So long as we live in the SLC Valley, this will always be our chosen vet.

  • Lindsay Bruggeman

Dr. Frequently interrupts and acts as if I'm wasting his time. Helped my dog's issues of waking up to go to the bathroom in the night while she was on antibiotic but when it ended the problem started again and he just wants to keep putting her on it. Appreciate what they were able to help with but won't be returning because I am tired of feeling like a nuisance when I am just trying to make my pup feel better.

  • Nickole Skembo

I just called to try to get a quote for my 2yr old Lab. She needs surgery because she has a blockage in her intestinal tract. The lady that answered the phone was nice enough to quote me, but explained that there are no Vets there that can do it this weekend. $1,500-2,000 is still expensive. This is the 2nd office I've talked to today that doesn't seem to care unless money isn't an issue for you.

  • Cat Dennis

Set up an appointment for my cat.(Having trouble eating) I could not go in with her myself because of a new baby so I sent my sister in with Shadow and paid over the phone. Worked out great. However, when I talked to the Doctor on the phone about Shadow's problem he actaly talked over me a few times instead of listening. Other then that I hear that the visit was very nice. Not dirty or anything.

  • Michaela Clark

Yesterday I had to put my Carly girl to sleep, she had cancer. The staff and the vet was so kind. I'm sure they think I'm nuts from the way I started crying and screaming, but they told me to take all the time I needed, the vet took her out of my arms. He was so kind when he told me she was gone. I know she's at peace now, and I'm grateful for pet stop .

  • Dr. Ken Andersen

I've taken dog here several times and I've always had a great experience. I also really appreciate being able to call with questions I have concerning my dog. In addition, his staff has always been great with me and my dog. Rosie answers all my questions I have and my dog always loves seeing her. Thank you for the great care you have given us!!!

  • Laicie Mortensen

The vet was rude, cut me off and sighed like he was annoyed by my presence. Said my dogs heart and lungs sounded fine prescribed a pill. The pill did nothing and when I took him to another a week later because he got worse they said he has a heart murmur and fluid in his lungs. They just using people For money and don't care about the animals

  • Nina Lawson

They took care of my little weirdo really well! They were prompt and reasonably priced! The only suggestion I would have is that the vet talked over me a lot so I didn't really feel like I could explain everything that had been going on. But he seemed to know what he was talking about, and to care about the cat.

  • Wood Stacy

I have taken my elderly Chihuahua to pet Stop three times now. The staff and vet were always friendly, considerate, and responsive to her needs. She is now completely recovered from a bout of colitis. I am very grateful for the care she received and do not hesitate in recommending Pet Stop Veterinary Clinic.

  • Amy Barker

This was the only place we could find to take our sweet tiny pet rat. They got us in the same day,and less expensive than other vets. They are super friendly, and called our pet by his name. I hope the medicine will work, so he can make it to his 2nd birthday. Thanks for trying to help our little pet.

  • Gina Jensen

Very nice staff. My dog hurt his back and they were the only place I could find that could get me in next day. Dropped him off in the morning when they opened and he was ready for pick up at 10. The Dr was short and to the point, but I understand he's a busy guy. My dog is feeling much better.

  • Sharee Barela

My sister brought her dog here and they wrongly diagnosed her MULTIPLE times and have charged her an exorbitant amount of money. She went and got a second opinion and she has had Aspiration Pneumonia the whole time! They didn’t care to diagnose the dog, they just wanted money. Shame on you!

  • Zoe Jorgenson

I have had one of my dogs neutered here, we do vaccinations here and one of my dogs had an allergic reaction and they were able to squish me in to assist. I really love that this clinic is affordable, the staff is all very friendly and it's in a great location if you live in salt lake.

  • Melissa Johnson

I went to several vets before this one and they constantly found ways to try and add unnecessary charges. This vet I learned very quickly, would not do this. He cares for the animals, treats them well and is honest with the owners. I trust this vet and would recommend to anyone.

  • Tedd Gagnon

Definitely don’t go here. It’s a trashy establishment that likes to spring extra charges for things you didn’t ask for. And then they will be quite rude when you ask for an explanation. Quite a few other qualified vets in town. Don’t waste your time and money with this one

  • Rick Bogue

Abner tried to steal a fishing lure, but got a hook in his bottom lip. I called Pet Stop and they got him in immediately. 1hour later he was back awake and ready to go. Price was not unexpected, and quoted before admitting. Very pleased with my experience.. thanks guys.

  • Tori Havlik

My family has been coming here for years. We trust Pet Stop to give our animals the best care, much love, and not overpriced or unnecessary financial costs. Good to note though, that their hours may not be the same as what google has them listed as on the weekends:)

  • Brandon felsted

These guys are great. they helped me out last year when my dogs eyelid got torn by another dog at the dog park. It was on a day that they are not normally opened but they came in and stitched him up. very satisfied with the service and the prices are reasonable.

  • Isabella Eskelson

I called them and said that we needed to get our female rabbit spayed, and we were wondering what prices were and he responded with "okay, bye." That's all he said and he hung up on us. I don't recommend this vet. He totally just ignored us and just hung up.

  • Tania Vega

My family & I have taken our pets here since we got our first kitty! (About 10 years ago) Always very friendly, answer all of your questions, and really care about your pet. They're staff is very friendly. I trust them fully with the health of my pets.

  • Michele Frisby

We brought our puppies in for their baby shots. Small little place that has a warm welcoming feel. We greatly appreciated getting an appointment within a day as opposed to weeks. Staff was informative and kind. Thank you Pet Stop, we'll see ya again.

  • Becky

I was extremely pleased with the Dr and his staff. I would recommend everyone to take their pets to Dr.Belman. they are very kind and extremely loving to your pet. Thank you for helping me in my difficult time. I would come back again and again

  • Mckell Petersen

  • Margaret McCutcheon

It was our first time going here with our new puppy Mars, and we had a great experience. I especially liked Mike (or maybe his name was Matt ha ha) anyways he was a real sweetie and I felt good leaving my doggo with him. Thanks!

  • Josh Kim

One of their vet techs must not have known that pharmacies do not sell over the counter triple antibiotics cream that's not Neosporin. I got it and used it for my cat's wound. Now it might be infected. Terrible terrible call.

  • Jen Lee

Great vet! I'm writing in retrospect but a couple of years ago our dog was attacked by a pitbull. The vet there did surgery on him and our dog recovered really well. The office staff there is always polite, friendly, helpful

  • Robbie

They had great reception, good service and they did a good checkup on my bun, and they were able to answer all my questions and they were able to diagnose and tell us what to watch out for. I absolutely reccomend them

  • Lauren Buckley

I ran late to my appointment due to an emergency, and Dr. Bellman was on his way out once I arrived. He took the time to step out of his car and invited me in. He swiftly administered the shots right away! Thank you!

  • Kaleigh Spencer

This is the best vet in town. They charge fair prices and always care for my baby dog. If you want a vet that balances care while trying to make it affordable for you this is the place. Thanks for all you guys do!!!

  • Stephanie H

Love the care plans have a cat diagnosed with cancer, plus two cats vaccinated, and one cat chipped all for about $800. Was caring and not mean understands that not every person with pets can afford fancy vet care.

  • Justin Landa
