The top thing I appreciated was the flexibility of Avis during my rental. I was two hours late to my initial check in (I know, I know, just being totally honest here punctuality is something I've always found personally challenging) and they adjusted my reservation window accordingly without any explanation or hassle. Then, the day before my scheduled return I thought I might want it for one more day. I was able to extend my reservation on the Avis website in like 5 minutes total. I appreciated the multiple ways available to do this though - by phone, on the website, in the Avis mobile app. Easy peasy. I also really appreciated the Avis employee I interacted with (it was the same woman for pick up and return for me). She was really pleasant, efficient, personable, and professional. I wish I could remember her name because I'd like to give her props for being an excellent Avis representative! Def will recommend Avis to others and will use Avis again in the future when I need a car rental! The car itself was lovely, it met my needs and was well maintained (a Honda Accord). Thanks yall and happy holidays!

All rental car companies are ran by professionals. But just like in sports all professionals are not created equally. Some professionals are super stars. Barbara is a superstar of rental cars. It's hard to imagine that you can find better customer service or a better human being than in Barbara. In those regards she is a 10 all day everyday. Out of necessity, I rented from this location for several consecutive months. There were times when I returned vehicles but was a little short on cash and was sure I would be walking home. That never happened. She was always compassionate and understanding and would give me the entire day to come up with the money. She never let me down and I never let her down. The cars are new, clean and her knowledge of those vehicles is well beyond the scope of what you would ever expect to find at any rental car location.

Do NOT rent from them. They are thieves who will keep taking your money out months after you rent from them for no reason and then make you jump through hoops to get them to refund you. Your information is NOT secure with them please don’t give your credit card information to this loser company. They took out $75 MONTHS after I had rented a car even though we changed it to have my husbands card charged instead anyways… and even my husband got hit with $2000 dollars taken out after everything was said and done and when he had already paid for the rental and everything. Horrible people horrible company do not trust them.

Barbara has always been super helpful and understanding of our situation. Although careful to not undercharge us for anything, she def does her best to look for ways that we, as a customer, can do to help us get any help with our rental. Suggesting things like, “if u sign in with your amazon account, You can get a discount.” Or “ if u join Avis preferred , that helps out as well.” Just super sweet and genuine all around. The way that anyone in the biz of providing people with a service of any kind, should behave. I will ever rent from anyone else again. Thank u Avis/BARBARA!!

My experience with the representative at Avis Budget was great. Her name was Barbara and she was kind and did everything she could to help us. We even called her AFTER hours because we left the keys in the van and couldn't get back in! She answered and in her voice you could hear her concern. She did everything she could to help us. I appreciate good service. And it needs to be acknowledged. I would recommend Avis Budget to anyone. Especially the one on Airport Blvd. In Austin Texas. Just ask for Barbara!;) Big Plus the vehicle we rented was clean with a smooth ride.:)

Avis is part of the Sears Auto Center with the same hours. Avis is a desk over in the corner but any employee at SAC will be able to help you. Upside is you pay less taxes here than at the Airport (ABIA). Downside is a lot less selection unless you call in a day or two early. Upside is this Avis is fully plugged in with all the insurance companies so if you are getting car repair they handle your insurance rental car coverage. Don't expect anything special, but they are solidly doing what they are supposed to.

Barbara the Best!! She's the Ultimate Professional at her job!! Ultimate Professional in dealing with people!! And, just an all around Great Human Being that understands life's up's and downs!! Barbara helped me out a lot due my situation. And, I know when people do good things for you and pass on that same gratitude good things come back to you!! And, that's what happened to me during these trying times!! I landed a great job after my struggles of losing one!! Thank you to the entire Avis Team!!

Barbara and Ron at this location were just awesome. They were friendly, fast, and courteous. Would definitely recommend this location over other companies based solely on the great service I was provided here by the two. I had previously went to enterprise and the service I got here was a night and day difference. Less hassle, just a fast and quick transaction and I was on my way with a better vehicle for a cheaper price. The two employees I dealt with definitely deserve a raise.

Picked up in Lamar, Austin Texas, dropped at the Bergstrom airport. Great price and availability. The pick up went very smoothly, took at most 5-10min. We booked economic and got a Toyota Camry. Very fuel efficient. Drop off was easy even before opening hours. Just had to leave the car in the return lane, 3rd floor of the car rental parking, fill the form and leave the key inside. Definitely happy with Avis every time

Nicest car rental place I’ve ever used, also better prices than everyone else in the city. It’s really hit or miss at car rental places in town, but this one is going to be my go to place from now on because all 3 employees I dealt with were over-the-top helpful. I didn’t catch one man’s name that I spoke to, but Ronaldo and Barbara were exceptional at customer service.

The agent was on the phone when I arrived, talking to a confused customer who kept asking the same questions again and again. I knew she was a jewel by her demeanor: patient, non-condescending, clear. She then turned her attention to me, helped me figure out which car would give the best mileage and had me through the process in less than 5 minutes. FANTASTIC.

Barbara at the front desk made sure I had a pleasant experience renting their vehicle. Not only the process was quick but also everything was clear and easy for you to see on the contract. Price was flexible and reasonable depends on how long you are renting. They don’t have contactless pay yet so don’t forget your physical card like I did

Never rented a car from Avis and not had them charge me extra for something they shouldn't. Would give zero stars if I could. UPDATE: Following my review, to be fair to Avis they did reach out and refunded the extra charge. Still frustrating to have this happen and have to raise it each time, but appreciated the quick response received.

My experience with this rental location has been excellent. Barbara has gone over and beyond to always be helpful. Only ONCE I had a bad experience with a car but it wasn't her fault and I have rented from her several times. I would still go back to rent from this location. I have been renting cars from Barbara at the Airport Blvd location here in Austin, TX, and she is always very available and accommodating when I make requests for certain types of vehicles. I, unfortunately, had to rent a car for much longer than expected, while waiting for my personal vehicle to be repaired after an accident. The staff at this location were INCREDIBLY helpful! They made sure I had the lowest rate and were always happy and flexible with my needs. Very student friendly. I highly recommend.

My vehicle that I rented in Beaumont, Texas was having engine problems, called Avis emergency services and they directed me to another near me Avis. The first Avis I went to was not so kind to receive this car in but this location was very glad to help me get into a safe car. Thank you for your help!

Second time I’ve rented from this location and by far both times have been better than any other rental car agency I have ever used. Barbara and the rest of the staff are incredible. Smooth and easy pick up and drop off, I will continue to use this location for all my Austin rental needs!

I have now rented from Avis at 6929 Airport Blvd., Austin multiple times. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff, especially Barbara. And, the cost to rent just a few miles away from the airport is so much less than renting at the airport. It is worth taking an Uber there.

I picked up the car (in Austin, Texas) within minutes with no hassle. The car was all new and very clean. Price was OK. Drop off at the Bergstrom Airport took less than a minute. What more could I expect from a car rental company? AVIS certainly deserves its good reputation.

Barbara is amazing! We needed an all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive SUV for our ski trip, and after calling a million places I had zero luck. Barbara remembered what I needed and called me back a month later to let me know they had a vehicle for us! She is wonderful.

Scam car rental company. They added extra charges to my credit card without my consent. Half to call and waste 45 minutes to get my money back. they lie and pretend they were helping .
