I didn't had any options for 0 stars, so here it is, 1 star!!! I ordered a bicycle on 18th June (Tuesday) the associate said that they send their weekly orders on Monday so I'll get the bicycle on next friday (28th june - 10days to go). It made sense to make weekly orders so I was ok with it. I called them on friday (28th June), they said there was a problem in their orders so I ll get my cycle by 2nd or 3rd July (with no compensations for 'THEIR' mistake). I said ok and moved on. I called them today (3rd July), they say the cycle is on the way and will have to wait more 2 days. I ask you, why should I bear this much when i paid you the price you asked for. Moreover the promise you are making of customer service doesn't seem like it is true!!! Then, not even a single apology for all of this?? So disappointed by you guys!!! I am sorry for expecting just a cycle from you!!

Well i am quite satisfied with the purchase i made from this store , all i bought from them was a handle bar mount , but them being able to help me with it really meant a lot to me. I was at several bike stores all over calgary for months asking questions about this part and trying to get recommendations on which way to go to make my handle bars higher, boom they had the part i needed finally. No one else had the time of day for me. My gf is going to be buying a new norco bike soon and this store will be number one on our list. The store i bought my brand new bike from didnt have the time of day for me and i was there three times , so where i bought my specialized bike i will never return to. For the one purchase i have done i give this store five stars in comparison to anyone else in calgary and I was around most of the stores.

I bought a bicycle from here about a month and a half ago and I couldn’t be more pleased with the product and the service. I’m an urban commuter with very minimal experience in bikes. I had to get a new one after my old one was stolen leaving me vehicle-less. One of the male store clerks, I forgot his name (curly brown hair and facial hair, soft spoken), provided me with amazing service. Other bike stores try and “encourage/force” you to buy the most expensive model. But he really took time to understand my needs and choose one within my price range. It was an overall pleasant experience. PLUS: they will install any accessory you buy from them FOR FREE. It did take the next day for them to instal a basket, but quite frankly I don’t know if could’ve done it myself. Overall great experience.

People give this place a lot higher rating than what it should actually have, its the only place I know of In Calgary that services BMX bikes so I'm forced to deal with them. Their customer service is lacking in a lot of ways. If you come in there uneducated about what your buying they'll try to upsell you around every corner just looking for any way to get more out of you. I really wish there was another place to go, this place has a lot to be desired. (EDIT: I was looking to get a rim replacement on my bike I went in on a Friday the week prior and not they told me my bmx would be fixed by Tuesday it is now THURSDAY and I have to call THEM to see If it's ready then the mechanic I spoke to told me it STILL wouldn't be finished till this afternoon. UNREAL.)

Bad customer service and bike service as well. I came in last week to get my bike checked as the bolts were stripped, they said they need to drill it out (which basically takes less than 10 mins) so I need to book an appointment, which I did. I dropped my bike last Saturday so that I can get it monday, they said wait for the text but I didn't receive any that's why I called them Tuesday afternoon and they said it's ready for pick up?! Then I went to pick up my bike, only to find out that the bolts weren't fixed. They adjusted my gears which weren't my primary concern. I just feel so frustrated, good thing there's a repair shop near and he only took less than 10 mins to remove and replacr my bolts.

These guys are the best in town for service. I went in to buy a new blocker on the weekend and Aiden (apologies if not spelled correctly) helped me throughout the process and provided me with all the information I needed to ensure I made the best purchase for me and my style of play. I am an indecisive shopper and it took me over an hour to select what I needed however Aiden made sure to cater to my needs for the entire time. I went in to buy a blocker and ended up buying a whole new setup (blocker, catcher and pads). I am extremely happy with my purchase and will be returning for all of my sport related purchases moving forward.

I am a cycle junkie and if you think a cold is gonna divide me from my fiery passion you thought wrong. Seeing people that share my ideology, and stay open and running through times like these make me feel unified with the community and gives me a purpose. When I first came into b & p cycle and was helped by Brandon he gave me tremendous feelings of elation, the way he talked about the cycles and provided thoughtful in depth responses really made me feel heard, he practiced social distancing as well, I felt safe. Thank you all so much you are a great business. I will be back when the distancing is no longer in effect.

Very concerned for the health of your employees at a time such as this . I don’t approve of how the biking community is being depicted through your business during these sensitive times. I am a cycle junkie through and though, so I said what the heck! I came on down anyway. A young man named Landon I believe, helped me and he was very respectful and knowledgeable, he also practiced social distancing . I was so very proud to see our youth following suit with the guidelines. I will be coming back because of the kind hearted ness of that young man but this time it will be when social distancing no longer needs practice.

When I was a kid in the 80's, I got a flat tire in the middle of an epic bike ride far from home (probably only 3-5km but that's basically around the world for a kid!). They fixed up a scared kid with no money and got me going. Since then I've been here for all my bike needs. I've bought bike accessories, road, mountain, and hybrid bikes from them, and were courteous everytime. Lately they dropped everything to help me with a bottom bracket install. So needless to say I'll be coming here for years to come. Support your local bike store. PS. I also bought great hockey gear from here

As owner of A Laptop Shoppe, I am extremely impressed with the professional service department here. Tyrese and Jamal we're amazing I went in for a valve stem replacement turns out I needed more done than I thought I needed a new wheel, chain ,and brake line replaced, next thing I knew they were both on it and finished within half an hour I was on my way and as far as I was concerned the price was too low, you guys are the best keep up the good work and I'll be back and I'll tell everyone about it.My Norco mountain bike just recieved a tuneup for maximum performance, thanks again.

I have been shopping at B&P cycle for about 15 years now, and racing downhill for close to 4 years. My first bike I purchased the manager had knocked $800.00 off the price tag only because I saw it cheaper at Sport Swap. They have always treated me well and have looked after me. They are an excellent local family shop that aren't afraid to take in a Supercycle to work on or a top of the line race shop. They have a very strong presence in the BMX world as well.

I brought a bike and I wasn't quite happy with it so I took it in and they told me they could fix it all for free or I they could take it back and trade it in, so I told them I wanted the upgrade and we met the owner and he was happy to help us out and have us good advice, I upgraded from a marlin 4 to a marlin 5 and I couldwn5 be happier, i wrote a bad review earlier, but it was all normal wear and tear, I would recommend going here if you need a sweet bike!

Great shop !!!...well stocked with bikes...parts and equipment and a service area on the bottom floor and hockey equipment on the upper floor...from the moment we entered the store...we felt welcomed..we were helped by Brent and Brendan...they were able to answer all of our questions and provided additional information on the product...we road tested the ebikes and we are now the proud owners of 2 Envo ebikes....great experience...highly recommended .

B&P is 1 of 2 sports stores we use so we’re in Brent’s store at least 2 times a week...was in again today for Tape and Laces for my daughter and it’s the same every time you walk in as your greated with a “Hello” and the service goes on from there til you walk out with what u needed or with a suggestion of where you could get your item(s)... all the staff are friendly and don’t pressure you, EXCELLENT job to Brent and the staff... B & P Cycle and Sports are incredibly professional, knowledgeable and have a HUGE selection of product! I recently made a purchase online. Brent called to let me know that unfortunately the bike I wanted wasn’t available. Also that he could refund the payment immediately. Instead I opted to pay a little more for another bike they had in stock! My only complaint is... it’s hard not to spend a lot of money while in the store. Highly recommend this shop!

Went in needing a new Rear Derailleur and RD hanger. They had both in stock and the bike was fixed up and ready to go by the end of the day. They also gave the bike a decent once-over (as a good mechanic should, but many don't) and noticed an issue with the set screw on my front derailleur which they fixed, as well as putting a new cap on the front cable which they weren't even working on. Will be going back the next time my bike needs service.

I bought a Haro BMX online but purchased the wrong size. A quick phone call and everything was sorted out. When I picked the bike up, staff was friendly and helpful and the bike was tuned perfectly. First time buying a bike at BP as I’ve been a regular customer of Bow Cycle. Now Bow seems to have gotten too big for their own good. I’ll certainly be shopping at BP again as their prices are $200-400 cheaper for the same bikes I had been pricing.

The girl at the front desk just sits there and texts. The staff stand around talking to each other. It's like you are bothering them when you want to ask a question. Then when I asked a question It felt like I had to pry them for information when asking about skates. After going there twice in the past 2 weeks. I will not return. Staff are very unprofessional. When spending that much on skates I would expect at least a little service.

This is truly a gem of a store. We go regularly and are never disappointed with the service. The staff is super knowledgeable and always willing to go above and beyond. Today I was extra grateful to the young man working in the hockey department (specifically goalie gear). He really helped me out, explained everything, offered to fix my son's pads, and gave me tips for avoiding the issue in the future. We won't go anywhere else!

I come here sometimes just to have someone to talk to. This one time they sat me down and helped clean my feet which had become dirty and sore ridden and I felt cleansed after. I bought my bike off a gentleman under a bridge and the price couldn't be beat but the prices on the completes B&P sells are reasonable and the selection is decent. nothing can stop me and I will rise in power. When I wen't back cuz all other bike shops would take to long to fix my bike and the price was to high for me, so I ended up going back to b&p cycle and they were awesome this time they got an expert to take I look and give me a reference to which derailleur suits my riding style and my bike and the Price was very good I'm very happy with my decision on going back. Keep up on the awesome customer service and bike service.

Bought a brand new bike here. After 2 weeks, rear brake started making sound. Brought in for checking, couldn’t resolve the problem and even got a few scratches on my bike, and the chain looked very dirty.. Brought in again for checking on the brake. Got a few more scratches even though I had told them to be gentle with the bike (and the brake is still making sound). Feel like they don’t really care about your bike.

Their maintenance menu is a great price, and a good way to start your spring. They are great at explaining things to noob bicyclists and I feel richer with the information than if I just looked at YT videos. No complaints here, will definitely go back. My only complaint is their product prices which are double online prices, but I understand the much needed mark ups. Maybe a loyalty program or some kind of sales.

This store is fantastic! My partner and I went in to check the bike equipment and hockey gear. I can only comment on the hockey side, but my experience was fantastic. Wyatt was incredibly helpful in finding equipment with my limited needs, and Devon was very knowledgeable in terms of specific goalie equipment. Both of them are A+ and I highly recommend going back when you need new equipment- I know I will!

Paul and the guys in the sevice department are awesome!! Friendly, knowledgeable, honest, and caring. When I leave my bike with them it's often ready days before the quoted time frame. They always take good care of me and make sure my bike is fixed right and working perfectly. I couldn't ask for better service, and I won't take my bike anywhere else when I'm in Calgary. These guys put customer service in high priority and it definitely shows. Excellent advice and tech work from knowledgeable staff. Great prices and a huge selection of new bikes. The only thing that would be great was if the bike repair was able to be done faster but it seems it is what it is when the season is so busy and other bike shops I've been to take even longer waiting to get your bike back.

Ordered a Raven hockey stick to be delivered to Edmonton because I couldn't find one locally. Brittany was a pleasure to work with, the online ordering process was super easy, the communication was great, and the help on the phone was perfect to nail down the shipping quote. Great experience and so good in fact that I'd probably rather order from them than go into one of the stores here in town.

Went into the store today to look at buying and walked around for maybe 20 minutes,the young guy and girl behind the counter just stood there chatting each other while up another young guy in the back corner (not a Mechanic) walked passed me a couple of times trying hard to look busy by not doing much. It's a shame as there looked to be some excellent bikes in the shop. Great salespersons there.

If you have a bicycle, do not bring it to this store. The people that are working there do not know anything about bikes. I asked for a simple seat clamp, and they said that they don't exist, all of them are integrated. So if you have any bike problems, do not bring it to this store. I used to go years ago and whoever is running it now Do not have the knowledge to properly run the bike shop.

Went here to purchase ice skates, me and my friend were greeted be Devin. Just want to say thank you Devin, you were phenomenal. He was very patient with us, took time and explained everything. He’s very knowledgeable as well. We ended up purchasing two sets of ice skates. Very pleased with his service. B&P has great staff overall, and great pricing. Would highly recommend them!

Bought my wife's Norco VFR 4 and my Trek DS2 from B&P Cycle. The staff were awesome to deal with and addressed any minor fixes/tune-ups that I thought my bike needed after the first few rides. Great selection of bikes and I'd say the best prices in town. Bailey and everyone else I dealt with were super helpful. Great company, will continue to shop here for my biking needs.

Friendly, great neighborhood sports stop. I took my bike that needed a new inner tube and at the same time the service oiled the gears filled tires with air all for a reasonable price. Took a second bike back to have the chain oiled and air put in and it was free. Parking in back, do not have an ATM. Lots of bikes for sale and easy purchase on interac/credit card.

It was my first time visiting store and it was unpleasant to purchase the parts. I felt like I am not welcome to the store. Impression I got was if you have what you got, get out of here asap. Technician was somewhat helpful yet customer service at front desk ladies were very forceful. I would not come back to store unless these guys only carry the parts.

Have to give Brandon a huge shout out - my fiance and I came in looking for a few bikes without having a clue what we were looking for and he was amazing - set us up without trying to over sell and was outstanding to work with from start to finish. I came into the store needing skates for an emergency goalie situation. These guys gave me a really great shopping experience after a weekend of painful shopping at other sport stores. Its been really busy so they didnt have everything I needed, but told me the part names to help me get back on the trails. The staff was polite, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Good selection of bikes. Had a good experience . Brought my bike in for new tire tubes and a tune up. Tune up was a fair price at $90. Busy place, had no issues of waiting a bit to speak to someone. Staff were friendly. Purchased a new bike for the gf . Prices are too good to pass up right as the season is about to change.

I wanted to sell my specialized trail SX bike on Kijiji, they gave me a free appraisal and described all my parts in detail. They really know they're bikes. Was buying some bike grips brand new ....they looked dirty and used . Young girl threw a tantrum and gave attitude because I asked politely for the clean pair still sitting on the shelf . Snatched the dirty ones off the table slapped my clean ones at me and threw my change on the table . What a joke

This place is great! We went in to get a new tire tube, and even though they were super busy, they installed one for us within 10 minutes! We also purchased a few accessories and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely continue to shop and have my bike serviced here!

No serious effort to provide customer service. Counter staff unsupervised teenagers. More interested in their phones than helping. The gloves and lights are behind the counter so no sale. Was looking and a Norco Storm but no customer service, no purchase. Just a bad experience. Won't be back.

I've been taking my bike to B&P for the past four years and the quality of their work and service has been fantastic. I also go there for hockey gear for both me and my son. The staff always find time to answer any questions I have and make sure that I'm happy when I walk out the door.

Worst bike shop in the city! Lady at the desk has never even been on a bike nor does she even play sports. Ask for a 700c tube and rim tape and they look at you like your trying to score crank. Hopefully a more cycle orientated shop moves to the area.

I think that is rude because when I went there to buy something there was no item that I looked for although I checked that item on the website. Then they didn't apologize and even gave us another option. I was put to inconvenience.
