I had taken my TT bike for a number of years to the North location, usually before racing on the Calgary IM70.3 or maybe at the start of the season for a basic tune-up, and I love the way she rides after services. The last, and recent experience with The Bike Shop North though was with my road bike, that I had taken to other store in town for assembly and I quickly had issues with a few things like a lose bottom bracket among other problems. Then I brought it to The Bike Shop North and the technician (Ash) who service my bike was simply flawless! I cannot describe how happy I am with the service provided, but I can tell he was working on my bike as it was his own and I want to emphasize that is not only the evident knowledge they have to fix/tune the bike but also to share tips and experience that makes me say there is no other store in Calgary I want to take my bikes ever again. KUTGW guys!

Amazing customer service. We went to The Bike Shop after having a bad customer experience at a bike store in Airdrie and all I have to say is WOW! During a pandemic this store was on point and very organized. All their staff greeted every customer in a timely and respectful fashion. Adam was the staff member we dealt with for buying my bike and he did a really great job explaining the features and what bike would be good for my lower back issue. Super helpful and not at all pushy. We went back in a few weeks later to get my gears on my bike looked at and a basket, Adam was more then happy to help with what they had available and Cody from the service department was quick to look at my bike and get it in tip top shape, put air in my tires, tighten the cable at no charge. Because of their kindness and great customer service, I will keep going back. Highly reccomend!

We talked to our friend Russ, who works in the North store service shop, about e-bikes and he provided a lot of great information over the phone. This really helped us to understand the various features of e-bikes and get a better idea of what we were looking for. Russ recommended that we see Adam, Sales Manager at the North store. Adam was very knowledgeable, attentive, and helpful. We felt confident with his recommendations, which made it easier to make the right decision for our needs. We are very excited for our new e-bikes and really appreciate that Adam is looking into delivery options for us, as we didn't have a way to get the bikes home. We also appreciate the support post-sale that The Bike Shop provides.

I was in the BIKE SHOP NORTH this past Sunday and had outstanding service. This must be an extremely stressful time for this staff and I thought they did a great job. I phoned before we came in and Hannah was very professional and a great help. When we arrived Steve helped us in line and kept everyone organized. The shop has been so busy and people can be very demanding and impatient right now-I think this staff handles themselves extremely well. Allison was excellent and when we got to the cash, Hannah was fantastic-she was patient and very cheerful. When I can only imagine the stress of all of these people and their demands. Our overall experience was awesome and we will absolutely return to this store.

Can’t say enough about how these guys took care of me. My tire was having a tire issue so I bought a new tire from them. I went to pick it up and brought my bike in to see if they could have a quick look and Jim gladly did. I had no appointment but he still helped me mount my new tire. The tire wasn’t getting seated properly because of my carbon wheels but he didn’t give up, it took him a couple tries but he finally got it!! Thank you so much for your help Jim and saving my summer. While I was there I talked to the staff to about bikes and I told the guy I was only day dreaming about a new bike but he still gladly chatted with me about them. Awesome shop to deal with and highly recommend

Fantastic customer service! I ordered some pedals/cleats in; after confirming they were ready to install with Cody, I arrived at the store to discover part of the order was missing. Less than an hour after I had left the store without the pedals, they called with a replacement that had been driven over and offered an unbeatable discount for the hassle. The staff even stayed late to install my cleats and pedals that day. Cody was knowledgeable, patient, and his passion for bikes shows. Braedon was friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. All the staff were professional and friendly and I was impressed with how they handled my order when it did not arrive complete!

Absolutely the best bike shop I’ve been to. Every staff member acted like they were happy to see customers and excited about their job (so refreshing). I brought my new road bike in for an adjustment. They willingly fixed it and also educated me about my bike and helped with a few accessories. I also watched them help another customer who stopped in during his ride and was having trouble. They didn’t charge for the quick repair, and I saw how relieved (and grateful) the gentleman was. Sales staff helped customers with all different price ranges of bikes with the same enthusiasm. This is an authentic local bike shop that makes love local really easy.

Went in to the bike shop to get my cassette replaced on my cyclocross. Unfortunately the service dept. was booked till mid may. Even though they didn't take my bike in, they did check my drive train to make sure it wasn't too bad that I couldn't ride it till may. That was nice of them. They were also informative about my questions to upgrade my drivetrain. They took the time to answer all my questions without feeling I was bothering them. I did come out of the store with a pair of cycling shoes out of all of this. Again good customer service as I didn't wait long to get help about shoes. Really friendly staff throughout my experience there.

My daughter grew out of her bike and so I went to The Bike Shop for a new bike. The service was here was great. The sales guy helped me right away and answered all my questions. He measured my daughter to get the proper size for her. The only issue was the selection was pretty slim. My daughter is 5 years old and there was only one bike she could pick. I ended up with a Trek Bike for her. The tech even cut down the bike seat to lower the seat another inch. The warranty is great and they told me to bring it back for a free tune up after riding it for a month. Overall happy with the purchase just wished there was more selection.

Well, you had the product I needed so that was cool. And your staff was willing to ensure the tire studs I needed fit the tires I was putting them into. They had the same tires on the shelf and test fit the stud into the tire so I wouldn’t have to return them from the other end of the city… and they were personable too. I was on a long journey that day, about 65 km into my 162 km trip and they seemed genuinely interested in how I was going to accomplish this on mountain bike studded tires. Or maybe they thought I was not too bright. Either way, they were very nice to visit with…

I have taken my bike here for servicing a few times now, and every time the service has been outstanding. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they will make sure the job is done right. My most recent service required a few return trips to completely diagnose and solve a nagging clicking noise, but they ultimately did fix it, and I was not charged anything extra beyond the initial service charge and the parts that were required. Big shout out to Ash for his dedication to figuring out the issue and getting it fixed, all with a smile and a pleasant attitude!

I bought two bikes here. The salesperson was informative but not pushy. Once I told him my price range he helped me explore all options in that price range without pushing me to spend way more. The shop was awesome and answered my 'dumb' questions without judgment. They made a mistake on one of my bikes but owned up to it right away and proposed a solution that was more than fair. Mistakes happen but the sign of a great business is how they respond to those mistakes. I will definitely come back if/when I need parts and/or another bike down the road!

Excellent service, work done right the first time, excellent turnaround time but most of all honesty.I brought my bike in recently for some work and agreed to both the time and cost estimate. However the tech worked on my bike over the weekend and bike was ready in just 2 days. What more was I was charged quite a bit less than the original estimate. The tech said it turned out he didn't have to bleed my brakes hence the lower charge.One thing I regret is not knowing the technician name. He is the older looking one in the service shop.

After having surgery performed on my foot I had been having a difficult time finding shoes for my mountain and road bike when I entered the store I was greeted by the very friendly staff and after looking at the shoes was helped by a wonderful sales associate that made lots of suggestions and worked extremely hard to find the perfect shoe for me I slipped my foot in the pair she had recommended after lots of attention to what worked and didn't work for me, instantly knew these were the ones. Love the service and the product!

Niles helped me out, went above and beyond with trying to find a bike that fit and was within my price range. I ended up buying elsewhere as the bikes they had didn't fit quite right like I was hoping for but that had nothing to do with the amazing customer service I received from Niles and the other staff here. I heard and saw amazing customer service from the other staff in there as well dealing with other customers. It's clear their staff know and are passionate about bikes Will be back to purchase parts and accessories.

Great bike shop. Not perfect but better than most. I wish they were open a little later on week nights. The staff are always happy to help and usually greet you as soon as you walk through the door. It actually feels like they're happy to work there and enjoy their job. I bought my current bike here a couple years ago. I recently had a mechanical failure out on the trails. I took it in and they took care of it that day as I waited. It's a small shop but I go there for most of my bike needs.

The young lady who helped me on Monday May 22 was exceptionally thorough and is one of many reasons why I only shop with The Bike Shop. Asked about a double kickstand and she dug through all her vendor possibilities to help me find what I wanted and when they all came up dead ends reassured me if the one I bought that day didn't work to bring it back to any location and get another type. Ridley, you could really learn a few lessons from this shop. Forever converted to The Bike Shop.

Everyone on the team was so helpful and efficient. I bought a bike rack and Ben was kind enough to offer support for assembly of the rack in the store and walked me through the use of it. The process for ordering and picking up the product was seamless. I also was very impressed with the service shop as well. I booked by bike in for an annual tune up: it was done in a timely manner and they did a great job. The process of dropping off and picking up my bike was also well organized.

Buyer beware! I bought a new Trek bike in April 2022 and it had a buckle in the chainring from new. This was agreed with the manager to be replaced and a warranty request was accepted with Trek. 16 months on and multiple emails back and forth with the shop and still the warranty work has not been done. They have there money so customer service doesn’t matter I guess. It should not take this long to replace a defective part!! Do yourself a favour and shop elsewhere.

Great service & super friendly. I brought my bike in for a hub service after having done one less than an hour before at a different bike store that did not fix the issue. I was greeted by numerous staff and The Bike Shop got my bike in right away. Not only were they able to fix the issue but they did not charge me due to having just paid elsewhere. Much appreciated. I have just found my new bike shop for all regular maintenance and supplies. Thanks so much :)

Waited 15 mins for a tech (I stopped in on my lunch break) a busy guy told me he had seen me and would help shortly... 5 mins later a guy walks in with this bike and a different tech came straight out to him and started helping w/e he was there for. I also needed tech service and needed to speak to someone before bringing it in. I will go out of my way and go to the downtown location, those guys are very helpful and always attentive. Thanks anyway

I have a Giant Toughroad E and was having issues with the firmware update. Called in and the staff was quick and able to organize assistance for the next day! I came in and while my bike was being maintained I did a little shopping. Again the staff was attentive, informative and helped me pick out a new helmet, pedals and a new bike for an upcoming purchase. I am very pleased with the shop and will be making it my bike shop from now on.

I went in to see if a wheel on a cheap bike I bought could be trued. Older service guy condescendingly said that I “should’ve bought a bike with wheels that work”. Sorry, we all can’t spend hundreds on a bike. He said the wheel couldn’t be trued but I went home, learned how and did it myself in 10 minutes. It’s still a good place to buy parts and other small things but I’ll be going someplace else for service if I need it.

Very friendly staff and very great at knowing a lot about everything to do with all of the products that they sell especially car roof racks. They asked me important questions about the roof rack bike carrier such as if I had keys and locks and made sure it would work on my bike and were able to order in the essential parts that I needed and make sure that I recieve them as soon as possible.

Horribly expensive for servicing. I only went here because my regular shop hasn't opened for the summer yet and this shop is convenient for me, and I definitely won't be back. Edit: unless the owner pays their employees more than retail/bike mechanic average, I don't see why the service prices need to be anywhere between $20-30 more expensive than the next most expensive shop I could find.

A someone that is very frequently in need of random bike parts... This shop has gone above and beyond what I could ask for. The staff has always been excellent to deal with, very knowledgeable and very helpful for giving me tips and trick for doing my own repairs. In my opinion there is no better bike shop in Calgary, and they'll always have my business.

AWESOME service here as always! came in because i have an issue with the seat post slipping in the frame. Im a regular customer here and purchased my bike here and most of my gear since 2018, the awesome thing is the customer service guy that helped me didnt know that and he provided me some assembly/compound in a small bag for free!

Definitely the place to go for all your biking needs. I’ve been to this shop twice and both times left impressed with the customer service. Today I went in for a small repair and adjustment. Even though I had purchased a cheap e-bike from a box store, the technician was so kind and helpful. He had my bike running great in no time.

Every time I go to The Bike Shop the service is always very top notch. In this case, Cheyenne provided excellent service. Came for a bike repair assessment and booking. However, he looked at and saw a easy part replacement. He replaced it and tuned the gears there in the spot in less of 20 minutes. Probably not the usual procedure, but I was riding my bike right away! Kudos for the well placed judgment and knowledge.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the recent tune up and servicing of two e-bikes. Work was not completed on time, tires not inflated, chain not lubricated, post dropper did not have pressure checked. I’m actually not sure what was completed for the $89? No checklist provided.

The staff here are attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable. They have a great variety of items needed for your bike and when it comes to service, you can expect whatever your issue is, will be solved and at very reasonable rates. Wouldn't hesitate to refer anyone to this shop.

Took my wheels in to get new tyres installed and the staff there was very friendly. I'm new to the city and the person helping me was kind enough to recommend routes I could ride. Service was amazing and I would definitely recommend this shop to friends and family.

Ver poor service. Not proactive at all to help you solve your problem/situation. I don’t care attitude, very passive. Certain bikes are not cheap, they do not seem to care what you spend to care about your concern. Typical generational service issues.
