Let me start by saying that I've been purchasing from this store 2-3 bottles per week for the past 3 years as I live only 2 blocks from this guys. Definitively never came because of it's customer service as I noticed since the beginning that they lack on it big time. I come here for the prices, selection of wines and convenient location. After all this years been a customer without any rewarding (totally fine), I have for the first time experienced buying a bottle that was corked witch is very frustrating but no ones fault, no one to be blame, right? I bought this bottle along with 2 other bottles on Friday, opened on Sunday and brought back to the store on Monday (full bottle). I walked in gave it to the person at the counter, mentioned it was corked and went on to shopping. Got 2 other bottles plus the 1 bottle that I was expecting to change (same wine). I must mention the price of this bottle that was corked was $20. As I got back to the counter I was told that the manager did not authorized the exchange of the corked bottle I bought 3 days ago with another bottle of the same exactly wine. So I asked to speak to the manager and first thing he said when he came in was "we don't do that" (?), followed by " I don't have much time". He meant to say if you buy a corked wine at their store it's your problem not theirs. He saw I was buying 2 other bottle and simply exchanging the corked one. I'm not someone that is trying to take advantage in any kind and if he was a bit smarter he would noticed that. I mentioned that I have been a long time loyal customer and he rolled his eyes and offered to give me a 50% refund of it's price ($10 ) Dear manager is not about the $10 or $20 full price is about CUSTOMER SERVICE. It's about be compromised with the people that support you guys. I just wanted to have the wine I bought, nothing else. Not a $500 bottle wine, not an expensive whiskey, not even a sorry. Only the same bottle wine. Do you understand that you work in the HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY ?? I get that people take advantage but you as a manager should be capable of identifying that it wasn't my case I was simply exchanging a bottle that was corked I honestly wish you learn how to be a leader because your staff is a reflection of your acts and you can never roll your eyes and say that you don't have time to hear a customer. Last thing that I will say is an apology for telling you to stick the $10 you offered me in that place, I should not do that !! That's not what I was thought by my mother and she would be embarrassed to see my reaction to your face with rolling eyes. It really made me loose and I apologize for that. I hope the owner of this store can read this review. You will not have me as customer again but with this management conduct you may end up losing more customers. Honestly not wise at all to lose a loyal customer because your manager was concerned about twenty dollars..... I was buying 2 other bottles and would buy more and more through the years Bellow is another review that I copied where you state at the end that your policy is to exchange (my case) or refund merchandise defective purchased within 7 days. That's not true so I advise you not to tell your customers something that you can't stand for or it will sound as a Lie "Cune CVNE is a great wine and I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy it. In our opinion the wine was showing perfect and it was far away from being corked. I have never heard anybody complaining about it yet, but there is first time for everything. We will keep watching it. If you still think that you are right about the bottle, we would like to issue you a full refund. Our policy is to exchange or refund merchandise that’s defective as long as you have purchased in the last seven days. Once again sorry for your experience" A quick response from the manager saying that I wasn't polite but no apology for his actions of not been polite either. Dear manager I lost when you rolled your eyes and said that you had no time to hear me. But I do apologize for my REaction.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at BQE Wine and Liquor Store that I feel compelled to share. Regrettably, my visit was marred by what I can only describe as a racially insensitive incident. Upon entering the store, I encountered discriminatory behavior from a staff member, which left me feeling unwelcome and disheartened. Despite expecting a neutral and respectful shopping environment, the encounter was tainted by prejudiced remarks. It is disconcerting to see such behavior in a place that should foster inclusivity. I hope that by sharing this experience, it encourages the management of BQE Wine and Liquor Store to address and rectify these issues promptly. Customers deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their background. I believe it's crucial for businesses to prioritize inclusivity and educate their staff on cultural sensitivity. I hope this review prompts positive change within the establishment. Won’t ever be shopping there again because there are other wine and liquor stores in the neighborhood that serve a variety with better customer satisfaction.

Five stars for their service and delivery. Always right on time for local delivery by their house staff. Good selection of wines. They always have a nice selection of lower priced drinking wines, however, their selection of Portuguese still wines has dwindled of late, though the quality of their selections remains. At one time, they used to carry Portuguese wines from 2 or 3 established, fairly local importers which used to be a sure bet to please the palate and the wallet at a fair price, making them great drinking wines for the less sophisticated customer, like me. Perhaps there is a run on Portuguese wines from their distributors as customers become more widely aware of their distinctive character and value?

3/7/15 update: I returned a couple days ago, and it seems they've changed their payment policy. If you use credit for purchases over a certain threshold ($300 or so?), they'll only photocopy your ID. To boot, the woman who rang up my purchase this time around was very polite and helpful. Would've been five stars but for the earlier experience. Original review: Good whisk(e)y selection and prices, but they harvest your payment information, which made me pretty uncomfortable. If you go in for a larger purchase, expect them to photocopy both your ID and credit card. Some of you won't care about this, but for those who have gone through identity-theft-related experiences in the past, this is a pretty big turnoff.

Been frequenting BQE for a long time, great prices and selection. Was shocked to find out they will not exchange a corked bottle. If your a regular wine drinker opening a flawed bottle is something that will eventually happen and I've never had an experience where the business you bought it from refused to make it right. In their words: "we are not responsible for what's in the bottle" and when I asked if they could toss it for me so I didn't have to carry it back home they said "it's your trash you take it with you" Wait what? You sold it to me. Buyer beware

Walking past it, it's easy to dismiss it as the outside is kinda plain, and the inside is more of the same. But let me tell you, their pricing and selection are amazing. We bought 19 bottles for under $500; including large sizes of Jameson, Cuervo, Barcelo, Malibu, Jack Daniel's, Johnnie Walker, Sobieski, Brugal, Jim Beam, Horintos, Kahlua, Baileys, 2 bottles of Sangria, Limoncello, and a bottle of Jagermeister. If you pay in cash or by debit card (you have to use your pin option), you'll save an additional 5%. It's definitely worth the trip.

Good selection of whiskey / bourbon, it's larger than an average liquor store in New York City, so selection is okay. Pricing however is very reasonable for New York City, because they received a lot of traffic, because the volume is high prices are relatively cheap. There is always customer, no matter what time of the day it is. It's not easy to get to because of the location most of thier customers drive there. It's next to the BQE so lots of commuters customers via cars traffic.

This is my go to place since covid 19..The prices are excellent! Service is even better.. BQE has large selections of just about everything. I live in Bklyn Heights, I have liquor and wine stores at my feet. They are all overpriced and their service is horrible. For me..BQE is worth traveling to..As a matter of fact I need to pay BQE a visit,, I'm out of my Baileys ( I'm the baileys girl) and moscoto which has come in handy during this remote learning..Thank you guys.. ♡

BQE is awesome - their prices on almost everything are very tough to beat, and they have a decent selection of wine and a very impressive stock of liquors, including special editions and some stuff with serious age. I go there frequently when I'm in the US, as it's often 50% cheaper to buy there than in London, even for Scotch! Just make sure you're aware of the particulars to get the best discounts - buy in volume, pay cash, and pay attention to their "dot" specials.

I kinda wish I'd never heard of this place, since I'm now going to be spending a lot of time and money there. Incredible selection, incredibler prices. The woman behind the counter is a real gem too. If you're in the market for a bottle of booze - whether it's a handle of Early Times whiskey or a bottle of Japanese Whiskey - this place will have it. And much cheaper than you'd expect to pay in Brooklyn. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Been ordering delivery and bought in store for YEARS and never remembered to leave a review. Going into 2023 like.... Best liquor store in the area, hands down. Best selection and best prices. All of the delivery guys are really friendly and sometimes I have to call with a question and the guy that answers the phone is friendly and helpful as well. Also, $5.00 same day delivery which is pretty damn awesome. Highly recommend.

The price is amazing but customer service is the worst!! I tried to make an arrangement of delivery at the store. They told me to do online and the mobile site was not quite functioning. Also one guy started shouting at me by saying I won’t help you website bullshit. :-( I ended up leaving store and never went back. Improve your site and hospitality, Mr. BWR Wine & Liquors.

They have the best deals, an amazing selection of wines and spirits, and the most friendly “family owned” staff. I’ve been buying there for 10 years and I’ve always received the best service. And now, during the pandemic, they Added delivery service within hours for smaller orders. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. keep up the good work!!!

An easy going place to shop wine & liquors. There are lots of lower price than regular store. It is very nice family business with friendly service. They're are the best!! They are lovely people- helped me to find the kosher wine that I wanted. Find an amazingly large selection of wines, champagne and prossecco , plus a great list of rose wines. Also find tons of hard liquor, including top-shelf whiskeys at the BEST prices in NYC! I challenge anyone to find a better price for Oban or Macallan in all Brooklyn or NYC. Go there, you will save a fortune!!

Drove to this place from Queens today, and I was surprise by their single malt scotch selections. Staffs were friendly and prices were also great. Walked out with 5 different single malts and a bourbon which I wasn't able to find in queens. Definitely worth the trip, will visit again.

Prices were good, big selection of wine, but liquor not too much. They didn't have different flavors of liquor just the regular. Customer service wasn't very helpful. When I asked about a product I was told, "oh I don't know, we probably don't have that". Staff wasn't very welcoming

Nice local liquor store the staff is helpful when asked questions. The prices are pretty good compared to others around you can't go wrong buying here not checking out the price elsewhere. They also have an excellent selection of whiskeys and single malts.

BQE has good prices, and they deliver. Online ordering is very easy. Delivery is flexible, delivery men are very helpful (tip them well!). In-store (back in the old days, when I went into stores) they were also friendly and helpful.
