"Poor service"
Bought a Chicken, Bacon and Avocado Grilled Sandwich, and it looked nothing like the photo on the selection menu. Couldn't see any Avocado and asked the staff member who served it, if they forgot to put it in. She peeled back the one small piece of bacon (two pieces shown in the picture) and there it was, a small smear of avocado under the top slice of bread. I really hate when you order something to eat and it looks nothing like what they advertise. What a disappointment!
Great customer service. No cauliflower pies, extremely disappointed, upset and confused about that because they were amazing. New pies put a kilo of broccoli in instead which was a bit rank, soggy and bland. #disappointed #upset #confused #regret #bringbackthecauliflowerpies. P.S. tables are wonky and it feels like a bird sanctuary in here with the amount of birds around. Good choice in music, should have room hire please.
Banjo's never let's me down. The service is outstanding. The sausage rolls and pie are one of the best quality I have ever eaten. The pastry is buttery and flakey, full of flavour and just melts in your mouth. The pies have loads of filling and quality beef is used. I would highly recommend this Bakery/Cafe and will always come back when I am in town. Oh and great location as well.
Poor service.. ordered 4 hot drinks for takeaway. Only to be served in mugs. Also ordered 3 slices of fruit and nut toast. Only to be served 2 white slices of toast. They corrected the order but brought out 3 slices of burnt fruit and nut toast. Requested money back, no apology to correct the error. Guys, seriously its toast, its not hard to cook. Sort it out!
Awful service!!!! Would not recommend! Took 30 minutes to “toast” a egg and bacon panini roll - which was soggy and barely edible. Was given no apology but they were happy to blame the error on the new guy on his second shift (poor guy probably wasn’t his fault). Banjo’s bakery needs to have a good look at their customer service and working practices
It's a bit strange because a lot of the breakfast foods (like egg and bacon pie) don't seem to make it out until 6.45 but they have a lot of lunch stuff like beef pies and desserts already out.

Staff are unhelpful, unprofessional and uneducated! Don't go if you have a food allergy! When my son asked if a product was peanut free due to anaphylaxis the two young males (one may have been an apprentice baker) laughed and smirked and said "you'll be right mate" Staff need better training... especially in customer service
Famous Tassie pie shop chain Very good pies. So far I have had curried chicken, pepper beef and curried scallop. All have a little kick but the curried scallop is the clear winner. They don't skimp on the scallops It's not gourmet but it is classic and a tad more.
Great pies, freshly baked on the premises and reasonably priced. The famous scallop pies are seasonal (unfortunately), but a great selection of delicious options, generous fillings too. We visit the Salamanca store every time were down from Melbourne!
Great place to drop in for a quick snack, drink or lunch. Complete with the odd inquisitive pigeon wandering through the door from Salamanca Square, and the subsequent floor show as the staff member tries to coral them outside again …
$11.70 for a chicken salad roll is an absolute piss-take. The food is always fresh and really good, but that price is blatant robbery. They've just priced themselves out of my market..

I was served by a lady who was very kind and enthusiastic. Unsure of her name but she was very friendly and professional, greeting customers with a “Good morning and a “how are you”. That goes a long way nowadays. She deserves a pay rise
We came here for Tasmania’s famous scallop pie and it was the most convenient place to go on foot. The shop is a little concealed and I wouldn’t be able to spot it if it wasn’t for the sign around 20m outside the shop saying Tasmania

Cauliflower and cheese pie yum
Pretty damn good steak bacon and cheese pie but unfortunately got an ice chocolate that was no joke 90% one giant ice cube and there was probably only a slither of milk. All I could drink out of it was the cream.
Ordered croissant, quick service but the product was very poor. Soggy and cold even after being 'toasted.' You are better off going elsewhere for breakfast/lunch, there are lots of good options around.
Had some rolls and savoury and some drinks last time. Nice big umbrella to sit outside in the sun under the shade excellent customer service different options fr sauces to go with dishes..
I'm a big fan of banjo's but stay away from this one it's like they have hired most terrible staff they could find for this shop the staff was so rude I just walked away never coming back.
I had chai latte, lemon slice and some shortbread. Chai latte was extremely creamy and spiced, lemon slice was good but a bit too sweet for me. Overall the food was great
Banjo’s had great sausage rolls at a decent price. I definitely recommend you to go to banjo’s if your thinking off having bakery near the Salamanca markets.
Great place to buy bakery products at Salamanca. Nice coffee stop. Also I like their spinach and fetta rolls, and cauliflower pies.
Good coffee. Amazing dense sunflower loaf. Pepper Beef Grim pies were very peppery... I liked them too peppery for my wife
Delicious, decently priced toastie and coffee combo! Breads are baked daily. Place has a cozy inviting atmosphere too.
Found staff to be vague, rude and snappy. Won't be back I think , was not expecting that kind of service. Shame shame.
Small Australian chain that serves decent pies and pastries. Great place for bread and a snack. Reasonably priced.
Coffee is great, the pie are delicious, flavoursome. Especially the scallop pie, it has 6 big scallops in it.
Nice place for a quick snack. Wasn't crowded even for a market day. The bacon and egg pie was very nice.
They’ve literally taken the exact branding and store layout from Panera Bread in the USA. Very original!
Fresh pastries and pies, so tasty. Coffee is a little weak for my liking but I like a strong coffee.
Great coffee and pastries and pies in the historical and convivial surroundings of Salamanca place.
Nice to rest in the sun and enjoy a late breakfast of smoked salmon and egg toastie and coffee
A good chilled out cafe with good pastries. I would recommend it. Yours truly @fooderarri
Always a awesome experience

Barrister makes cows milk soy latte .... doesn't know the difference...ot doesn't care
A good place for a cuppa when other places were shutting down late in the afternoon.
Great staff, professional and friendly.....best sausage rolls and good coffee break
Typical banjos, you can do better for food options, but you can do worse too.
On two separate occasions my order was misplaced and given to someone else
Foods here are cheap and good taste. But coffee is not as good as others.
Its always dead so never have to wait long for my pie. Staff are alright
Just my opinion that Banjos is killing small bakeries off one at a time.
Was told to come back in an hour for some pies turns out it was a lie
Great food and coffee. Friendly staff and excellent service.
Very good food/service needs to listen to whats been ordered
Their Egg and bacon pie is wonderful. Great service too!
Friendly staff. Place has indoor and outdoor sittings.
Reasonably priced and decent options and good service
Good coffee, service is great and great bread loaves
