STATION ON THE SANDRINGHAM LINE Well maintained station situated in the restaurant and shopping strip along Carlisle Street. Was still staffed late on Saturday night when I was last there. Ramp up to the elevated line from Carlisle Street. Separate street level entry points for Platform 1 for the city and Platform 2 for Sandringham. I wanted to go to North Melbourne Station so it was a fairly simple trip to Southern Cross and then a train change. Staff are friendly and helpful. The station is well lit.

Banger of a station guys. Hilarious staff telling cringe worthy dad jokes over the intercom makes this a memorable metro experience. I hear the Irish travel far and wide to get a glimpse at the raunchy metro staff. Its the real reason police patrol the stations. 10 out of 10 would do again

This station has the nicest lady at the counter. She always makes announcements to serve people lining up at the Myki machine and also makes announcements asking for certain item donations for her child’s preschool arts and crafts class. Very friendly and a great start to the day.

The woman who works at the train station is one of the friendliest people around, she is always happy, chatty and honestly cares about the people who catch the train at her station. She makes having to get up and go to work early, just that little bit easier :)

Staff are very kind, helpful and friendly. Has a nice vibe, coffee shop is nice for anyone that wants to use it. I must point out it is very busy in the morning.

Its very quiet town and peaceful people are friendly to lots of places to go like the noisy river. And quite a few big caves too that you can visit lots of fun

There was an accident on the tracks here today. 13/06/2023 No idea what happened but there were fire engines and police and ambulances everywhere.

While the station facilities are nothing to write home about, the location of this train station is great. Right in the guts of Balaclava.

A grateful thank you to the lady who 'mans' the station. She is always pleased to see each of us and the sentiment is warmly returned.

Used to catch trains from here, convenient coffee stall next to top up machine. Would catch a train from here again.

Toilets available! No level crossing! Trams just outside for an alternative to the city or Caulfield if needed.
