Had a difficult time finding a parking spot in front of the retailer Inwas about to visit. Saw an empty space that was marked for "Mellow Mushroom" but since it was TCBY that I was going to I moved on. The 1st available spot was the one in the photo. As you can see the signage simply states it's use is for visitors to Ballantyne Village retailers for a period of 15 min. My teenagers and I stepped out and were crossing the street towards TOBY when I was beckoned by a man inside the Tinder Box store. He told me that the parking spot "was REALLY meant for people wanting to stop in for a quick smoke. So if you don't mind...." as in *hint hint move your car* I simply replied that we were dropping in for a quick yogurt and would be gone soon. I guess this is not a true complaint, it just really got under my skin today. I follow directions, I didn't needlessly inconvenience anyone, or park somewhere I shouldn't have. I don't care what shop it's if front of....if it's just a vague "Ballantyne Village" sign then it's for anyone who is visiting Ballantyne Village to use. At any rate: LOVE this area and the atmosphere. Lots of stores and restaurants to choose from...always something fun happening as well.

I used to come here years ago and there was a lot younger crowd. Now the most of the music shows at the restaurants and other youthful appealing things have disappeared the crowd is a lot older. The Valentine theater is actually pretty good though, they show independent movies and films and serve alcohol as well as some foods. There are a few good restaurants to eat at and many bars inside those restaurants. I would say to miss the tractor thing for me in this area is the Mellow Mushroom which is actually a newcomer to this area even though it's been around for awhile now. If you're looking to grab lunch with friends or have a good quality dinner with someone special this place is a good place to go. If you're looking for a lively nightlife or something entertaining you should probably find somewhere else.

Wonderful open air mall undergoing construction to make it even better. Mainly known for several different dining options offering varying cuisines, services (like FedEx, Massage Envy, OrangeTheory, among others), and office space (including accounting, law, dental), Ballantyne Village is a great place to walk around and get some exercise because of the safety and beauty of the area. There is a wonderful fountain in the middle that has chairs readily available to sit. And with the current construction going on, exciting new changes are coming that will bring a hotel, more office space, and a rooftop bar! Definitely recommend!

We have enjoyed Black Fin on several occasions. I came with my family, I had the shrimp and garlic linguine, while everyone else indulged in the shrimp and grits. I thoroughly enjoyed my pasta, it was exactly what I wanted pasta without a heavy sauce. Simply good. The shrimp and Grits I was told was a little heavier on the spice than they were used to and the grit cake seemed a little soggy. However, this experience will not keep us from coming back, the atmosphere and previous experience has made us believers in the quality of Black Fin. Everyone has an off day.

Review for: Case del Tequila. Greatly enjoyed our dining experience. Drinks: My wife and I each had a margarita and they were great. Food: We really liked the different spin/interpretation that was put on our dining selections. My chimichangas and my wife enchiladas were different from what we had ever had before and different in a good way. My wife particularly liked the way the shrimp that topped her enchiladas were prepared. The service was attentive, prompt, informative, and accurate. Again, a great dining experience. We will be returning.

I've been to Ballantyne village in the past and have not been there in quite some time and was surprised to see some new venues open. my friend took me out for my birthday and she took me to be good cuz that's the restaurant I was curious about as much as I'm doing mostly plant-based whole food diet. We then went for coffee next door and had a great cup of coffee. the place that just reopened and has coffee on one side and it has wine on the other end they have entertainment as well in the evenings.

The management company of the complementary valet services are so dishonest. The valet damaged our car and didn't even mention it and is now denying that he did it. The management company is giving us the run around. Oh and isn't it a coincidence that the security cameras doesn't work yeah right! Please people park your own car and if you use the valet services please take pictures before you give over your keys. I'm very upset and disappointed at the dishonesty of this company and the CMPD!

The Ballantyne Village is a very nice shopping center with many great restaurants, shops, and even a cool movie theater that plays more select films. The village is clean and fairly easy to navigate once you park. The primary reason for deducting a star is the parking is very inefficient and poorly planned. Multiple areas seem to deadend and it can be difficult to get out without making a few turn around or loops. It is very clean and I would definitely return!

I have listened to pasted steve for about a yr now and I wanted to see the church and what it was like in person it was a 6 hr drive for me and my fiancé but it was worth it ... The only problem was all on me , ive been to a lot of church and I have meet some friendly people here and there ... But when they say the people there are friendly ... They really really mean it ... I was not expecting the hugs and warmth of the people of this church ... Great job !

  • Ericka Mitchell

Very nice upscale area in Charlotte and has some great restaurants. Jade, Terrace Cafe, B. Good are just a few of my favorite restaurants that I frequent when coming here. The only downside is the tiny strip of parking in the center of the village. You're forced to either keep circling the strip until someone leaves or park in the deck and walk over, which is not fun when the weather is bad. Still a nice area though and worthy of a 5 star rating.

  • Bruce Johnson

Good choice of restaurants. A lot of turnover in here though, I imagine rent is crazy. Parking is scarce, and I got a boot on my car a few years ago in a spot that was not clearly labeled. Even the tow truck driver agreed, but wouldn’t let me out of the fine. I called the management company and they refused to help me also. So parking sucks, but it’s not the tenants faults. Crispy Banh Mi, Blue Taj and Jade are my favorite spots in here

  • Adriana Moreno

Love visiting the shops and restaurants at Ballantyne Village! There's something for everyone here and even a place to sit and enjoy the scenery. Parking can be a little tricky at times right by the shops but there is a free, covered parking deck that's available. All convenient to elevators to take you to the action! We hang here often and enjoy the variety of businesses that are found here. Definitely worth checking out!

  • Shontelle MacQueen

This place has always been hit and miss. It's still populated by a lot of tiny stores that sell overpriced clothes and a few restaurants. A couple of the restaurants are good (i.e, The Blue Taj) and many are not. There is a huge parking structure that hardly anyone uses. It would be really great if they got rid of the parking in front of the shops and turned it into a grassy area to hang out and listen to music.

  • Lutherina Walk

Nice little stores but a weird mixture. Urgent care next to a Harris Teeter, then a Pet hospital next to a Realtor Office and Hair Salon, then a restaurant, and so on. I normally love to visit Zapatas Mexican Restaurant about 3 times a month. However, this time, I did not get waited on but 6 people who came after me did. Maybe they're tired of me visiting and I can fix that. The food really is normally yummy.

Zinicola. New discovery for fine dining. Italian. Excellent service, nice wine list with many options at various price points. We ordered 6 dishes and all were over seasoned, the risotto underdone, and yes, we know what al dente is. Heads up on the prices for main entrees however. If you venture beyond pasta and into their seafood or beef selection it is quite pricey. Cannot recommend until we try it again.

  • Karthikeyan Loganathan

Nice little hidden lively place in Ballantyne. It was even more beautiful on weekend early morning before it was too busy to find parking . That’ll be one concern during the peak hours. There my be some parking options near by what we are not aware of as we are still fairly new to the area Many health food options, yoga, iceee cream and sweet treats and more …. Forgot that relaxing southern swing ☺️☺️

  • Melanie Calloway

Excellent location for an afternoon or evening out. Conveniently located off 485 and 521. Quaint boutiques, movie theater (they show independent films as well as blockbusters), and good restaurants. Parking in the lot can be iffy but there is a covered parking deck with access to the upper level of the plaza. The escalator is often out of service but there is an elevator in the rear.

  • Stephanie P

I came here to get my hair cut and let me tell you I love how Annamarie did my haircut. Love it. She gave me enough information on how to volume my hair or how to make my hair wavy style. I definitely recommend her . She inside Salon Loft. She only does appointment. You can go on salon loft website and make an appointment with her. She now my hairstylist.

  • Katherine Blackwelder

The center had a small parking lot and a deck with very small spaces. We went to the movie theater which was on the 3rd level. Did not like theater set up. Seats very uncomfortable and it was so crowed the only seats were down front. Hated the elevator. I thought we might not get out of it. Much to small of a center to accommodate the number of visitors.

  • David McCann

This is a typical suburban mall. Access and parking are good and everything looks pretty new. There are a couple of decent restaurants (Blue Taj in particular) and the movie theater has five screens with stadium seating. Be warned...the entrance to the movie theater is on the third floor and more often than not, the escalators aren't working.

  • Sky Broome

An attractive shopping center with extremely nice areas for customers to sit and relax. Storefront parking tends to be full, but there is a parking deck on the back. There seems to be frequent tenant turnover, but the empty spaces usually are filled with new tenants quickly. Definitely a nice place to come with your family, dine and relax!

  • China Antoine

Went to a Makers Mark Whisky Tasting! Loved it! The host was very informative and Hannah was super helpful and had good energy! We were in the Galery Restaurant area. Only recommendations would be to have a more separate space that would have felt like a private offering instead of in the lobby! Overall, good time and recommend!

  • Betsy Freeman

A small charming village. Good movie theater, although it is a few flights up. Most of the time the escalator works. I think there is an elevator.. haven't found it. The movie theater has wine and beer- a really good thing I love mellow mushroom as well as the jeweler. They work with you and are very creative. Good place …

  • Rocket Man

Mellow Mushrooms- live music at times Panera Bread Movie theater Massage Envy Verizon Wireless Black Finn Orange Therapy- believe it's a cycle gym Smoothie King, etc. Inside and outside seating for a lot of the restaurants. Always packed with people but never overwhelming Safe location Parking lot structure and parking deck

  • jhukmlrldl

This use to be a premium ballentyne location but from I know due owner's rigidness and shortsitness many good businesses moved out from this property. Very wired and awkward parking situation. There is now a new Ballentine shopping area coming up right across so it may be matter of time this place may run out of business.

  • Elle P

My favorite place to go in Ballantyne. Blackfinn is my favorite restaurant to meet w friends. Sit at bar and watch sports and drink and eat. Their brie appetizer and drinks like the blueberry lemonade are really good. The lemon caper chicken is so so good !! Never had something I didn't love here!! Try it asap!!!

  • Samuel Cohen

Many great stores and restaurants in the Village. Jade Sushi, Mellow Mushroom, and a hip little movie theater to name a few. Definitely a place to check out. You can even just hang outside in the Village park on the bench by the fountain. Sometimes they have live bands playing in the Village center.

  • Joey Royer

Just got done eating at Burger 21 and had an excellent meal. Haven't yet had bad service and this is my 4th time there. Ballantyne Village is a nice collection of stores and restaurants for you and come and relax for a couple of hours or spend time hanging with friends or family.

  • Josh Plummer

Glad they've finally got a new restaurant in there with Blackfinn. For the longest time the Mellow mushroom space sat vacant and it's long been time for Villa Antonio to go with the after hours "parties", drugs, and serving minors, it's just a bad rep for a upscale shopping area.

  • Erin Kriz

Just like every other shopping area around here, there's not enough parking. I don't really come over here if I don't have to- simply for that fact. Make it easy for people to shop and they will come. Make them drive around a crowded parking lot and they will probably leave.

  • Madaam Medusa

Had a delicious meal with my family at the Black finn. Had the Blackened Chicken Alfredo and a Mango Ginger Mojito, both were very good. Nice portion sizes, family friendly, indoor and outdoor seating. My only complaint was that the mint leaf in my Mojito was not fresh.

  • Dr. Tarrah D

This is a great place to visit for dining. I went to the movie theater once a few years ago. I eaten at a few of the restaurants. I don't car for the parking layout in front of the establishments because it is tight and limited. Consider using the parking deck.

  • Crystal Maisel

Plenty of restaurants, shops, and boutiques to choose from. There is even a FedEx, a PNC, and more practical stores as well. Very nice layout of the shopping center, and very walkable. Every place I've been to in Ballantyne Village has had impeccable service.

  • Lisa Contreras

I ordered a smoothie and fries at B good. Smoothie was great. Fries were ok. Service terribly slow considering they only had 2 customers besides me. Will not be back to this location. Huntersville gives better service and doesn't skimp on there portions.

  • noneya business

DATE NIGHT ALERT... BUT IT IS NOT GOING TO BE A CHEAP DATE. Located on an insanely busy intersection this complex has a very futuristic and fancy feel to it. You can do pretty much anything here from people watch to bar hop to eat or even watch a movie.

  • Maryann Walters

Theatre was an unpleasant experience. Movie was sold out, but we still waited in line before we were told. Overpriced beer in plastic cups required a wristband and a 5 min lecture from the millennial behind the counter. Also, it was freezing inside.

  • Janet Skip

New Waiter Luke was great! Food is ALWAYS BEST, I had a Mimosa with my brunch, it was nasty..if they use a better quality Orange juice they would get a 5 ☆ the cost was ridiculous( 8$ ) considering the taste..tasted like Sparkling water..1/18/19

  • David Kohler

Home Depots are nice stores as long as you know what your needs are. Available help is not good in most cases and product knowledge is never good. Associates are friendly and respectful just lacking any expertise on products offered.

  • Stevie Morrison

Enjoy the variety of businesses located here! It's a great place to relax and unwind either outside sitting areas or many restraunts. Great place for leisurely time with family and friends! Even my early teens enjoy being here!!

  • Brenda Watts

This was the first time at veltree, I ordered the soulfood plate with greens, mac n cheese and ribs and it was delicious. The service was great the owner came out and explained the menu and I do recommend this restaurant!!!!!

  • Shelley Hamilton

The hours of operations on this website is wrong, please correct this. This theatre hours are 30 minutes before the first showtime and they close at 8 pm Sunday thru Thursday and on Friday and Saturday they close at 10:30 pm.

  • Joel Blady

I went to Panera Bread.... Food, coffee, facilities and staff were all wonderful... But they don't seem to have as many trash cans as they used to... I really had to look at the end of my visit. Otherwise very very satisfying!

  • Michael Thuemmel

I only went to the Panera bread in the shopping center. I have never been to any other stores in shopping center. It's seems nice. The only complaint I have is the the parking and driving lanes a narrow around the Panera.

  • Sandra Latorre

Terrace cafe here for brunch was great. But I walked around a bit in the village and specifically the boutique shops. Nothing to offer of interest to me besides that cafe and the air of pretentiousness was uncomfortable.

  • H2ohJoe

Clean, great seats, great theater quality, ppl are great and the food and options are amazing! Best place to watch a movie in Charlotte... unless you want to lie down (which I'm too tall for that to comfortable anyway)

  • Teresa Love

My husband and I had brunch at Veltre vegan restaurant and it was very good. We had the lil drummies and waffles.mac and cheese. Meatless loaf and yams are good. We enjoyed our food look forward to going back.

  • angel farley

We went for Christmas event for the kids. It was nice balloon artist, bouncy house, train rides, hot chocolate, face painting, decorating sugar cookies and arts and craft. Picture with santa real nice

  • Russell Stout

We really enjoyed our birthday dinner at Mellow Mushroom. Food was hot and tasty, delivered fast and with great service. We really enjoyed our visit and can't wait to get to mellow mushroom again.

  • Roger Brenner

This is a good mall but the parking is limited and they like to plant bushes that block you view of oncoming traffic inside the mall. They need to fix this before they cause an accident.

  • Dee J Vivid

Mellow mushroom has stepped up there game . It's great. They have a server named Tommy, he made the evening great food was awesome ask for him it will make your visit that much better

  • Anzette Shackelford

Very popular brunch spot in the area. I would not recommend the shrimp and grits entree but all the other food looked scrumptious and my dining partner enjoyed their food very much.

  • Allison M. Cain

The food was ok. I asked for lemonade and the waiter said they only had Minutemaid, but after I saw the menu, there were several other lemonades. The waiter should know the menus.

  • chef pick

At first glance it reminds you of the airport as it looks like the air traffic control building. This place has a wide variety of food options as well as entertainment options.

  • Mimi Hsu

Lots of good eating options here. The parking is limited so it makes it difficult to go when a lot of people are there Love the foundation and the outdoor seating they have.

  • E B

There are so many shops and restaurants. You could spend hours here. I like the way the buildings are designed. You can park and walk around or park at a shop and save time!

  • Conley Brodziak

This village can be a cluster of traffic. I've really only been a couple times, but they seem to have a good mix of unique shops along with some staples. Great restaurants.

  • Sheka Cauthen

My favorite place ever! The white people here treat you as equal and so much better than Lancaster County SC White people. I absolutely love coming up here to shop and eat.

  • Adam Franklin

A good combination of stores and restaurants & shops right in the heart of Ballantyne in South Charlotte. Plenty to eat see and do, plus a pretty cool theater there too.

The parking is not always easy on the street, but once you get in it's always a good time here. Great food. Great theater. Try the red velvet walls at the terrace cafe.

  • Telisha Coleman

Lots of great eateries here and the outdoors are desirable. Swings and nice Adirondack chairs to sit in and enjoy the company of the stars or your favorite person.

  • Wanda Lyons

One of the best cleaned, stocked stores I have been too. Excellent service, spectacular choices, in beef, fish, bakery. Large beer and wine, indoor bar as well.

  • Sean Kilmartin

Very cool shopping precinct. Upscale, great shops and cinema. Slightly pricey but that is the area. Parking less than spectacular but great shopping experience.

  • Carl Irish

Parking is woefully woefully inadequate. Otherwise nice area and good restaurant and entertainment options. (If you can get in the lot and find a place to park.

  • Michelle Bradshaw

A very nice clean place full of restaurants to eat. There are plenty of seating areas to enjoy the scenery. I feel relaxed and comfortable in this environment.

  • Ashley Sha-Ron

very nice area with things to do or eat or something you may need. It was quite and peaceful seems like it's a safe area also. …

  • Celia Zelli

This is the coolest place for date night. Tons of shops and restaurants and places to walk around or sit on a bench swing. Patio dining available too.

  • Andrew Goulet

Cool shopping center with a new massive hotel. The architecture of the hotel definitely takes away from the beauty of the crown on top of the cinema.

  • Honey Gouri

Good parking. All the required shops are here. We will find everything here. It's easy to shop for everything at one place. Groceries, food, meat etc

  • Diwakar Viswanathan

Shopping , Restaurants etc. Happening and usually a crowded place . Big parking lot on a separate building . Nice place to try out multiple options !
