I would definitely NOT recommend anyone visit this place with their pets. I brought my cat here after discovering scabbing on his neck. After waiting over an hour to be seen during my set appointment, during the exam (which was not even an exam) all Dr. Santiago did was check his weight and didn’t even bother to check his temperature. She could not tell me what the issue might be other than possibly fleas. Which I already knew from Google. My pet is never outdoors. After recommending an ointment, Dr. Santiago then informed me they did not have it and I would have to order it on my own. The entire visit was a complete waste of time. Two weeks later, my cat started throwing up consistently for an entire week. I called Dr. Santiago as soon as the office opened and was told by the receptionist, Kathy, that she would call me back. The entire day went by and Dr. Santiago did not call me back. Two weeks later, I am still waiting for a call back. She never bothered to call me back and instead had her technician call me who recommended I take my cat to a vet to be examined again. Again, not helpful! I then asked the tech to have all of my cat’s paperwork forwarded to me as I have the right to that info and would need the new vet to see it. She promised me she would have Kathy send it over. I never received that paperwork! What kind of pet hospital operates this way?! The entire office including the receptionist Kathy and Dr. Santiago are all liars, very unprofessional and extremely inconsiderate. Do not waste your time here!

Banfield has made vetcare affordable for my family. We signed up for their Wellness plan and we can get our fur babies teeth clean without costing an arm and a leg. Cathy at the Hylan Blvd location is so very friendly and helpful. Sometimes there's a little bit of a wait but that's common in other vets too. I don't use their website to make appointments because they never show any appointments available and you are better off calling the hospital directly. In case of an emergency, I am not sure how Banfield would hold up being that they are only open Monday through Friday so you'll probably need a back up vet. Edit: I wanted to add how the techs and vets are all super nice and knowledgeable. Great services at an affordable price. The hospital is very clean.

Carol is the most nastiest, disrespectful person there. If I could give 0 stars I would. The way I was treated and talked to was unbelievable. I have never been so disrespected in my life especially in this devastating time with everything my dog is going through. She was so unhelpful and unprofessional. The attitude was unbelievable I thought I was talking to a ghetto teenage girl. I dont know what kind of business this is having staff being so rude and inconsiderate to others but I will not stand for it.

The one time I was actually able to see them the staff was very nice. The tech loved my cat and the doctor was very thorough and answered all my questions and concerned. But it's impossible to get through to them. I had an emergency with my cat and when I called multiple times they left me on hold for nearly a half hour. I don't know of they're understaffed or what the issue is, but if you want a vet that's available when there's something going on don't go here

My dog had some serious dental issues. I was turned away from about 20 other vet offices due to lack of appointments, but Banfield was able to give us an appointment within a reasonable timeline. Dr. Santiago was incredible-- she explained everything clearly, she answered all my questions, and I felt like she really cared about my dog. And the rest of the staff was equally as polite and helpful. Highly recommended.

The receptionist there are very rude and condescending I could wait for a prescription for 24 hours because they got the ask the doctor if it's approved and if you look right there in the record it shows that there's refills and the dog is on the medication and the Doctor Who.. is right there in the back room usually six to seven that's all there the back takes forever to get an answer

The office staff is SUPER friendly and attentive! They take the time to show they care about your pet! The doctor is super friendly and takes the time to explain everything that is going on with your fur baby!!! This is what I expect from a hospital when I’m putting the care of my animal in their hands. Would highly recommend their services to anyone.

What’s the point of making an appointment. There should be some kind of regulation to how many patients can be taken at a time. My dog gets overly excited so I just wanted to check her in and go to the side. I received the nastiest reply from the assistant telling me to calm down even tho I just asked when we are going to be checked in.

I had a great experience here just for a routine check-up. Update my dogs vaccinations with no problem. Staff was nice, especially Peter. He gave my dog 5-star treatment and informed me on everything they were doing behind the scenes. The vets seems well equipped and care for the animals here. Truly happy with this place.

I bring my dogs to Banfield on Hylan Boulevard and everyone from the front desk to the back take such good care of them. Dr. Santiago, Dr. Swaha and Dr. Evans care for them as if they are their own. They are patient and take time to answer all of my questions. I highly recommend this hospital !

I was told my dog is getting a full dental exam but I would have to pay extra for fillings and tooth extractions So I agreed to the $700 bill. Upon paying the bill I was told the $700 just covered the cleaning because they are not licensed to do anything else. Civil court here we come

I’m genuinely appalled at the lack of basic skills and knowledge by the veterinarian at this branch Staff is uninformed and negligent Vaccines are administered in the wrong area I would caution anyone against choosing this practice/hospital for your pets health & routine upkeep

Dr. Evans is amazing. She is not only thorough but she is caring and sweet. The receptionist, Kathy, is so professional and always goes above and beyond for me and my dog Coco. I would recommend Banfield to everyone!

Honestly like this location better than forest Ave. I feel they have more availability and staff is super friendly and helpful. I go out of my way to this location. Even though the doctors rotate location.

The receptionist at the front desk was very impatient. Her attitude made us feel very uncomfortable. The nurses there are very nice and responsibly.

Probably one of the few places left in New York that provide international travel certificates! Staff was extremely helpful and patient.

Amazing staff and veterinarian. This was my first time ever taking my dog to the vet and they explained everything in laymen's terms.
