This honestly is The worst consumer experience that I have ever had to endure. About a month ago I decided to purchase a new chair here for my appartment. I paid 129 euro for what looked like a nice new gaming chair. Turns out after forking out all that cash I was expected to assemble the chair myself which I was told by the customer assistant was easy to do-easy for an experienced carpenter! After following all the instructions the chair simply fell apart and I had to return to this store-via taxi-to have it assembled at a cost of 15 euros! I had to carry it home after he assembled it as transporting the chair to my house also came at an extra cost. About 2 weeks later the chair bent back to the point where it felt unsafe to sit on and I had to return it. In order to do this bargaintown had to come to my house to collect the chair. I had to basically stay at home until they arrived as they never bothered to ring or text me when they were coming and when I tried to ring them they refused to answer the phone. I missed them on the first day because I had to bring my dog to the vet in an emergency and they wouldnt even wait ten minutes for me to get back. Thankfully and finally the chair was picked up on Monday morning. When I called to get my refund yet again they refused to answer the phone and then the following friday I physically walked into the store to claim my refund. The woman rudely commented that she didnt see anything wrong with the chair. The only consolation out of all this mess is I will never shop here again!!!

An absolute disgrace of a business. The worst customer service I have ever encountered bar none. If I were the owner I would be having a strong word with your store manager in the bed department store in Queen St. Went in to purchase a bed with cash in hand. Gave us no advice or decent recommendations. Went back as there was one bed we wanted and I had the money again for the next one up in value. 425 Euros after delivery. I had 410 Euro. She wouldn't offer the better bed and told me I could buy the cheaper one. I got home to find out there's free delivery if you purchase online!!! I had that much with me to cover it which would have been 405 Euros. I went back in today to say this to the lady and she told me she'd put it through as an online sale. Gave her all the details to deliver next Tuesday and pay in full for her to arrive at a figure of 458 Euro. I asked her how it could have gotten dearer. She told me their sale ended on Sunday!! Didn't offer it at the sale price when I had been in twice during that period. Never offered to knock off the delivery charge like an online purchase and take 410 quid off me at the time she could have done. Just smirked up in my face. Never felt so difficult to get rid of money in a store in my life. Just saw superior bed in Mattress Mick's. He'll get my money instead. Can't wait until I speak to my best friend who's the finance and purchasing manager where Bargaintown have one of their main housing contracts.

Normally a pleasant trip here always buy my carpet here went in to buy hall stairs carpet after about 15min of browsing we were ready to buy a man walked in from the conversation the salesmen knew him we were totally ignored they dealt with him we just walked around waiting for service then one salesman started shouting to the other make sure if your asked for carpet tell them it's 3 plus weeks for fitting you hear me I just looked at my husband and said let's get out of here I have since bought my carpet else where .

We purchased 2 Galton 2 seater couches which are very nice and reasonably priced but feel we should have been told that they would arrive in a flat pack needing the legs and back to be attached. We did not find the instructions easy to follow. We are not young and would not have been surprised if the couches came from IKEA but did not expect self assembly from Bargaintown. The delivery was made by pleasant individuals but they refused to unpack the couches or take away the considerable amount of cardboard.

One of the worst company to deal with, bought a mattress for €360, went back to complain and I was told mattress was sold as seen, cashier rings the supplier respa and respa told they don’t have a record of selling to bargaintown the mattress I bought, I don’t know where are they buying from or labelling ? Is that mean I have to suffer now for what I paid told cashier and he doesn’t have the answer ?? they don’t have manager on site or give access to talk manager, DO NOT BE FOOLED

Was there this morning , was empty ask the only staff member for help he was so rude it was like he was annoyed that he was asked to to his job , he made you feel like you were begging him to sell you carpet , obnoxious rude little man would never go back , when up to the naas road old lovely gentleman and a lot cheaper , there was two ladies there that had the same experience an hour early , manners cost nothing

I moved into my forever home 10 months ago and thanks to BT I'm just about finished everything all iv left to do is my bedroom floor which is being done next week,I found the staff very helpful especially Gerry for my floors,also there prices are great and you can pay off by the week which helped me out so much. Bargaintown is great but for specific things. Their prices on beds are amazing, outside of IKEA they truly are the cheapest around and as long as you don't buy their cheapest you will get a good bargain. The cheaper wardrobes, chests of drawers and the like are not the best, I'd recommend Ikea there, but for beds you can't beat them for sure

Very good experience visiting branch in Queen St. Robbie was quite helpful. He really helped me to a make decision to buy couple of mattresses. He was quite patient and gave all info regarding different sizes and prices, although he knew that I would go with online shopping option, because of cost of delivery service.

Bought a mirror on a stand for a decent price. The base was a little unsteady though so the two guys there, Dan and Vasily took it apart and put it back together sturdier than ever. Great customer service lads! I appreciate that and I'll be back there for anything else I need in a shot.

They delivered the table on saturday but no one came to set it up, I called them lots of times and no one answer and now I've got to wait another week for someone to come and set it up... I paid so much money and this is so unprofessional... Unbelievable...

Recently had new laminate floors laid in two bedrooms and landing. I was very pleased with the service, promptness and work. I think Dave was the name of the guy who laid the floors, he did a professional job and was pleasant and fast at his work.

Great deals can be found there but had a slow service experience when collecting a piece of furniture. The person in charge was reportedly on break and no one could bring my item to the exit...

Good product. Your man is fairly sound, I feel like he had a lot going on and almost could do with an extra pair of hands, which may have delayed things. But, good service all told.
