Visited barking Park today, first time in over 25 years. Still a great park. The boatlake is still going but these day they pedalos instead of rowing boats and the lido is now a splash, fountain play area. And sadly the train is not in operation. Still good day out. More

I was pleasantly surprised just how lovely this park is. It has a splash park, a lovely play area swings, a very long slide, and a pirate ship (sort of with lots of imagination). Unicorn pedalos. The splash park/pedalos are not free.

A really nice big well maintained park, with a lake and lots of wild life. On a good sunny summer day it can be really crowded. There is provision for boat ride but that’s seasonal, only in summer.

I used to live near here and whenever Im back in the area a walk through Barking Park is a must. It is well maintained and lots of improvements like the cafe by the lake that serves great coffee.
