Dr. Deji, Gillian and team are absolutely fabulous. They really live by their values and commitment: “compassion, competence, communication.” I was going to another vet for the last 4 years but due to Covid, they were unable to squeeze me for an urgent matter (I wouldn’t have been able to see them for a month). I called Bathurst Animal Hospital as I began to worry and my first point of contact was Gillian. She was pleasant, understanding of my “crazy dog mom” ways and never made me feel judged for “overreacting.” She got me scheduled in two days later. The clinic was operating with a “curbside” service - they met with me at the entrance, checked me in, and then took my dog in. About 20 mins later, I received a call from one of the vet techs who asked me questions about the issue and any other concerns. A few minutes after that Dr. Deji called me and informed me of two potential diagnoses, walked me through the process, and was extremely clear and compassionate the entire time. The vet tech called me back afterwards to explain the treatment process and when I could pick my dog up again. Once all the tests were done, they called me to let me know some initial findings and when I could get my dog. Dr. Deji even personally emailed me very specific care instructions from what to expect, and a recommended exercise routine given the circumstances. He even contacted me directly to advise me on lab results as they came in. We visited a few more times for follow ups and Dr. Deji always called me directly, never rushed the call and answered every single question I had every single visit and even after hours via email (and I had many questions and after hour responses were not my expectations). Apologies for the long review but I hope it shows how much I truly appreciate the excellent, seamless, and compassionate customer service, and the support. I’m now a new happy client. Ps. Gillian is extremely knowledgeable about pet insurance. I appreciate the time she took explaining everything about pet insurance, her experience, things to look out for, her recommendations, etc. and it was extremely helpful. Thank you team for going above and beyond, and taking care of my best friend!

We came to Bathurst Animal Hospital about a year and a half ago when our 16 year old cat Alice, was having some severe issues. Even from our first phone call with Gillian (to set up the appointment) I could tell that they knew what they were doing and made a point of getting Alice in that same day! Upon our visit I found their space to be very inviting and lacking that metallic/medical look of some other vet clinics. I think this actually helped my cat feel more at ease as this was her first vet visit in years (she was an entirely indoor cat free of health issues up to this point). Dr. Deji and his team made a point of doing a thorough evaluation of her condition and her overall health (beyond her medical condition) and diagnosing her with Pyometra meaning that she required emergency spay surgery. Dr. Deji did an amazing job explaining the condition and what the treatment entailed. He kept us updated on Alice's condition before and after surgery. When we brought our cat home she seemed to be relatively comfortable and bounced back quickly. Unfortunately, Alice passed away this year due to a severe kidney infection (she never showed any sign of kidney issues prior to this). I am confident that Dr.Deji and his team did everything they could to save our girl (while maintaining her dignity), and when the time came to make the decision to put Alice down they were there to answer all of our questions and helped arrange for us to bring Alice home for one last night with the family. I see that some people comment with regards to, the increased costs of their services (which I can't comment on since we only have recent experiences with BAH) but from my experience what they charged was fair based on the quality of treatment they provide.I am certain that not every vet clinic could successfully deal with Alice's Pyometra and that the team at Bathurst Animal Hospital is the only reason we got an extra year with Alice allowing her to live to see her 17th birthday!

I took my kitten (British Shorthair) to Bathurst Animal Hospital back mid August 2021. He was experiencing vomiting and diarrhea. They asked me if this was my first time owning a cat and if this was my first time at Bathurst Animal Hospital. I only had my cat for less then a week. They took my cat in and after about 30-40 min, the Vet called me saying they would have to do more test. When the Vet called me back about his diagnosis, I felt as if she listed all the worst-case scenario. Initially I thought the visit would cost around $200 or so and maybe another $100 for medications…but then the medical Secretary called me back with the quote for the testing that needed to be done. It came to $1300 dollars, and they needed a 50% percent deposit before proceeding. After all the testing was done, the vet called me and stated he needed to stay overnight, and the new cost would be $1600 dollars. I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my 4-month-old cat by himself so I requested to have the medication and that I would take him home. They provided me with antibiotics and another medication to relieve his stomach. He needed to take the medications for 7 days. After two days the vet called me back and the test for his fecal came back positive for Giardia (Parasite). They wanted to do a check up after 2 days. Asked if this was complimentary and they stated it would be at a discounted rate ($70). Summary: My experience was not great, and I will not go back. After reading the negative reviews I do believe that all they care about is taking the most money possible from new pet owners. Just for comparison, my friends cat also caught Giardia. Visit and medication costed her $250 total. My friend was with me that day and she has been a cat owner for 19 years. I should have listened to her and pulled my cat once I got the quote. Since then, I have transferred my cat to her Vet and I feel the care and service that they provide is 10x greater then Bathurst Animal Hospital.

This was our first time at this animal clinic. First impressions were pretty good. The front area was bright and clean, with enough space for us and our cat. Our cat felt really comfortable here, after sniffing every corner of every room, of course. It felt a lot more comfortable for us as well, and felt a little less like a "clinic" - which was kind of a nice thing. The staff were also quite polite and friendly. We were scheduled in the same day, and dealing with all the staff in person and over the phone was very pleasant and easy. We were happy to be seen earlier than our appointment time (about 15 minutes earlier; we had arrived early and were asked to come inside within a few minutes.) The clinical staff were also very pleasant. They were easy to talk to, seemed to understand our cat's needs, and recommended options as well as explained the process we were about to undertake thoroughly. While we feel that all our questions were answered and that all options (including pricing ranges) were explained adequately, we feel that the pricing is a little on the higher end of the spectrum for what is average/normal at a Toronto veterinarian. That said, if the care and attention our cat receives going forward is comparable or better than how we were treated (which was great) then I could see how the somewhat higher price may be justified. I will update this review if necessary, as we still have several scheduled appointments to attend. If anything changes, I will make notes in this review. If today's visit is any indication though, and our experiences continue to be as good as the first, we are confident that we made the right choice to provide our cat with the excellent care he deserves - because he takes very good care of us.

My previous vet was too far of a drive for me and I needed to find a suitable replacement closer to my residence, and I'm so happy I found this place! My kitten, Billiboo, was neutered here and I couldn't have asked for a better team to take care of my baby. Dr Lo and Julia were just lovely to work with, they kept me informed of his status during his post-procedure recovery and took the time to answer all of my questions (via email, phone and text!). They checked up on Billiboo days after to make sure he was recovering well and also provided lots of post-procedure info. Because of covid, I wasn't allowed to go into the clinic, but didn't hesitate to leave my fur baby alone, as I felt very comfortable after meeting his nurse, Julia. Although the procedure was pricey, I am happy they took the necessary steps to ensure it was done safely, I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. The online vet store is a very convenient way to order prescription food straight to my home so I don't ever have to worry about forgetting or running out. I hope I don't have to make many trips to the vet, but for when I must, I will not hesitate to come to this hospital and highly recommend to anyone who wants to leave their furry friends with a very competent and lovely team!

FROM MY EXPERIENCE.... Terrible, absolutely the worst Vet I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They are very nice and all, but believe me they do not care about your pet. My dog had a cut on her side from from a fence. I took her to this sorry excuse for a veterinarian and he charged me apprx. $1100 for the stitches, which looked horrible. I was told to leave the cone on, which I did. However, after 10 days, the stitches opened up again and the wound was completely exposed. I took her back to this horrible vet and he recommended staples, a sock and a tissue sample (why this was not done the first time? I don't know). He charged me another $1100 for this, but he mentioned that he gave me a discount of $50. After 14 days, I took her to get the staples out. There was no phone call or follow-up regarding the tissue samples, infection or anything. Today (three weeks after her staples) after all the scabbing came off, I see a tiny piece of green sticking out of the wound. A F#$KING PIECE OF STITCHING from the original visit. Where these people got their license is beyond me. I hope there is a regulatory body or a board that I can complain to. Do yourself and your pet a favor, DO NOT GO TO THIS HORRIBLE HORRIBLE place. Do not trust Dr. Deji.

Some of the doctors are caring and knowledgeable, but some doctors here aren't very good, they don't bother to follow up or tell you about important things at all. They didn't follow up after a test came back positive and my dog required treatment, they didn't follow up when the second treatment was due, they didn't notify me that there was a 2nd round for the vaccine they administered and I had to get my dog vaccinated twice at another clinic because the time frame lapsed. The receptionist is rude and unpleasant (maybe if you're a regular she likes you more, but being new to the clinic, I was mostly ignored when I came in). My dog never liked it here either. The nurse I had didn't know how to perform something, which is fine, but the receptionist lied that she of course did, despite the nurse admitting she didn't. Compared to modern clinics, they charge exorbitant prices. The same testing is half price at modern clinics, services they charge for are also complimentary at the same. They had the nerve to charge me $12 to trim 1 nail. In a pinch this place is ok if you have no choice, but otherwise, find a place that will treat your pet like their own and treat you with respect.

We have been taking our elderly 15 year old cat here for the past few years, and I cannot stress enough how much I recommend this place. Dr Lo, Tina, and all of the staff members, have been friendly, communicative and helpful from the very start. They make sure they communicate about pricing before any work which is so important because so many vet places just bill you without warning! Our cat Kratos loves the staff. He recently got diagnosed with diabetes and with the help of the team at Bathurst , we were able to get the help we needed and they taught us everything we needed to know. Not to mention they would follow up call on how he is doing, I’ve never had a vet do that before!! They actually care about your animals and it shows. Thank you so much for taking care of our boy Kratos ‍⬛ Update: Oct. 10 Kratos sadly passed away, but we cannot express how much Dr. Nicole Palermo helped us through a tough emotional time. The kindness she showed towards us and Kratos will never be forgotten. Thank you for being there for us and Kratos. Thank you for treating him with respect during his passing and being there for us during this moment.

Ever since Rolo was a 2-month old puppy, we have always trusted the team at the Bathurst Animal Hospital with his care. He has always been a lovable (but mischievous) little guy, so he has been in and out of the clinic quite often. Despite that, we have received the best care every time. His primary caregiver, Dr. Lo, is amazingly kind and truly loves animals. He is patient and someone we wholeheartedly trust for Rolo's well-being. Dr. Hayes has also been involved in Rolo's care and we are so thankful for her expertise and guidance for surgery and treatment. Julia and Gillian have also been so wonderful to us - we often see them taking care of Rolo and making sure he's happy and comfortable. Everyone else we got to meet have been so friendly and caring as well! The clinic truly answers all our calls and emails about Rolo, which is so incredible when you're feeling unsure. It can feel so scary and upsetting when your pet is sick, but the team at this clinic has been there for us every step of the way. We feel reassured and confident that Rolo will be in the best hands at the Bathurst Animal Hospital :)

We got our first dog last year and decided to go to Bathurst animal clinic for his first visit because it was right around the corner from us. When we received the bill we noticed it was a little pricier according to what other dog owners were telling us so we ended up switching somewhere else. We quickly realized a difference and switched back to Bathurst animal clinic. The staff is fantastic. Our dog is anxious: they greeted him with smiles and made him feel as comfortable as possible. The last groomer at the other vet had to put our dog under General anesthesia and still did a horrible job. The groomer at Bathurst animal clinic was amazing and assured us that she would take it slowly and groom him little by little. We were quite frankly very sceptical because of our first experience at the other clinic but she delivered and exceeded our expectations. We ended up saving money because we weren’t paying for the general anesthesia that we paid for at the other clinic. Our whole family thanks you for taking such great care of our little guy.

Dr. Deji and staff looked after our beloved Fonzi, an FIV + cat, for close to 6 years. Fonzi was the kind of cat you dream of having...he was loving, sweet, snuggly, demanding, wicked smart, and one of a kind. We loved him like our own child, and only trusted the best when it came to him. Although we recently had to let Fonzi go to the Rainbow Bridge, Dr. Deji and his team went above and beyond to save him on more than one occasion, even making himself available on a long-weekend to ensure the ER clinic was brought up to speed on his status, and that they would accommodate him overnight if needed as they fill up quickly on long-weekends. Although Fonzi did succumb, he made it to almost 15 years of age...quite remarkable considering his FIV status, and the severity of what he survived. I would highly recommend Dr. Deji, and his wonderful team to anyone looking for highly skilled veterinarians, with wonderful bedside manners, who are all clearly passionate about their chosen professions. Thank you all for everything you did for Fonzi.

We’ve 8 months old male kitten. He was facing some issue with his urination. So, we’ve taken him to this clinic. Without doing any tests, the doctor has simply declared that he has a stone. She even mentioned that my kitten will die if we’ll not start treatment immediately. She has even tried to manipulate us emotionally. She has given me approximate of $3000-$4000 for mandatory surgery. Then, we’ve visited another clinic and they have done some tests and, they’ve given estimate of $1800 for stone surgery. But In their test, we got to know that he doesn’t have any stones. He is completely fine now. There was some minor blockage only. It costs around $700. Kindly check for other clinic for your pet. Bathurst animal hospital might charge you extra and harm your pet unnecessarily. Even the doctor has tried to manipulate us by saying that the condition of our kitten is very serious if we won’t start his surgery with them then they’ll inform government that this kitten has serious issue and we’re not taking any serious steps.

I went to this vet clinic following a family friend’s recommendation. The booking system was easy, and although I booked pretty last minute, they were able to accommodate me. As a first time dog owner, I had a lot of questions but the staff were all super nice and super helpful when it came to answering my questions. They weren’t rude or sarcastic even when I asked what may be considered obvious questions. They also gave me pamphlets with articles regarding my concerns when it comes to neutering and training so that I can learn a bit more about it. In addition, they told me what stuff my puppy needs to get done and when I should bring him in for those things. I was also given a 1-month free trial for dog insurance so my puppy is covered while I find what insurance company I want to work with. Overall, I’m very happy with the team at Bathurst Animal Hospital.

We have been clients of Bathurst Animal Clinic for over 25 years. Dr. Deji and all the staff are very caring and compassionate people and are very dedicated to providing the best care possible for the pets they treat. They are always friendly and welcoming to both people who phone in, as well as people who come into the office. Our dog Benji, as well as other dogs we have had in the past, have always received excellent care and we have been extremely happy with Dr. Deji and all the staff at the clinic. Whether we bring Benji in for medical care or for boarding, he feels very comfortable and makes himself right at home. He loves Dr. Deji and the staff and they show him a lot of love as well. We brought our cat into BAH for a checkup as it was behaving strangely. Their "recommended" services added up to over 900$. Over-Inflated blood charges (compared to our regular local vet) of over 400$ prompted us to call to discuss the pricing. We hit a brick wall named Shelley. Apparently it's up to the client to ask all the pricing instead of being informed of it. Who knew? There is no way bloodwork is 400+. We were shocked at the final cost, but there was zero flexibility despite our disatisfaction. There was zero restitution. It is your call to use these guys, just know they are very expensive, prone to price gouging and not very friendly. They are not the "gold standard service" they claim to be and definitely not "compassionate, communicative nor competent". We will never return. And Btw, the next day the cat was fine and didn't require any of this.

I would have to agree with the review that they are charging the clients for some unnecessary procedures. My cat obviously is having neurological problem, but the vet here thinks it may be caused by the ear. And keep asking me to bring my cat back to clinic again, just to check up the ears and have an unnecessary microscopic cytology. And that charged me almost 200 bucks, without knowing the real cause of the illnesses. Not to mention the first visit and the blood test, totally costed me 700 dollars. And if your pet is having some serious illness, go to the other clinic first. They may have the answer for you. Anyways, do not rush to get the test done, that may not give you any answer. Final words, please stop making use of the concerns of a pet’s parent to make money. Life is not easy when our kids are sick. So please don't do that.

This clinic says they treat birds but they do not have the facilities to treat birds completely and to the full scope of treatment. I brought my bird in and they said to take it to 404 vet clinic and charged me $118 for that, so basically they charged me to tell me to take my birds somewhere else. I called other clinics to get appointments after and asked them if they’d refer me to 404 if they can’t treat my bird, because I didn’t wanna spend over $100 again just for them to say go somewhere else, (I thought this was normal because birds can be tricky) but when I asked them this they sounded confused as to why they’d refer me away yet say they take birds. You are better off going to other exotic clinics I’m not sure why they advertise they treat birds if they are not able to fully treat birds. The staff is nice, so one star for that!

These guys may be as professional as they want themselves to believe they are but they asked for 1400 dollars for a wound flush that was completely and utterly taken care of elsewhere for under 400 dollars total. Not the 1st time either, that they're this thirsty as i asked them about a cat spay last August and they quoted me over 900 dollars for a 6mo old cat that was fixed for a grand total of under 200 dollars total, elsewhere. Go at your own risk. O yea and they told me to also change my rescue dogs diet, as they see it as poor, deemed her too fat, told us to cut down on her treats and put her on a totally new tick and flea medication that is up to their standard, and also clean her tartar while they are at it...... this was their first time interracting with this dog. All she needed was her wound checked and attended to.

I have been bringing my cats to Bathurst Animal Hospital since February 2019 and I can't imagine ever going to another vet clinic. The BAH staff that I have had the pleasure to interact with are compassionate, professional, patient and thorough. You can tell that everyone there is an animal lover and really wants the best for their patients. When my cat Pumpkin became really really ill and eventually had to be put down (all in the span of a week or so), I was a complete and total mess. Dr. Caitlin was incredible throughout the whole process and checked in with me constantly. I will not soon forget the compassion shown by Dr. Caitlin, Gillian and Julia during a particularly hard time. I could also go on and on about the incredible care my other cats Patches and Boots receive at BAH!!

My guys (a dog and two cats) have been with them for years since they were born. A few years ago, I was a new cat owner. Information and care that they have provided me around the time were SO helpful. Especially Gill, their receptionist. I call her a cat lady/master and she has been my cat teacher. Drs and techs are always welling to spend their time to answer questions, explain health issues, etc. I recognized that this hospital provides advanced dental care. Actually, one of my cat friends switched her animal hospital to this practice because of, not only the dental but also other veterinary services that this hospital can provide. I feel good that they are my family vet and keep the records for my lovely fluffy friends. If something happens, I know whom I can ask for the best.

❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗ A hospital that insisted on me getting insurance for my cat. And during my cat's neutering procedure, they asked for $1110 from me. I had it done at another animal hospital for $350. Last year, my cat swallowed a rope, and I had to urgently bring it to this hospital. They administered anesthesia to my cat and charged me $550. They showed no empathy towards me while I was crying in front of them at the hospital. Additionally, my cat did not vomit the rope at the hospital, and I brought her home unconscious and in a very bad condition. They take advantage of people's desperation. I do not recommend them at all. Please research other hospitals as there are much cheaper options available. You can reach out to me for more information or assistance.

Was apprehensive in coming to this Vet do to the fact that Kipling Animal Hospital just closed down abruptly and we felt like, ”Who should we trust now? No one”. What a disappointment with Kipling animal hospital. With Bathurst Animal Hospital, from the first interaction with the receptionist, everything was kind and wonderful. The staff members were friendly and understanding of our unique situation. Dr. Deji is AMAZING. Very knowledgeable and kind and will tell you exactly how things are and if you don’t understand, his explanations are clear and concise in the most friendliest manner. Nothing but RESPECT for all the staff here. Honest opinion, you can trust this clinic. They have been around since ‘76, so they shouldn’t be going away anytime soon.

Thank you so much for all that you have done. First time customers and will definitely be staying. They did my Beagle dog's vaccine and heart worm test and adviced me to add wellness blood work to check the well being of my dog. I love how they give me advice for this (first time owner here). My dog came out happy after his shots today. Never seen him happy getting shots before so I think my pup loves it here as well. Practiced social distancing and informs you over the phone about your concerns and what they did. No vet is perfect so I gave them 4 stars. Again, thank you thank you so much. The people who answers my phone calls and inquiries were really really nice and sweet. Great customer service there.

My gerbil was injured in a fight with his brother and it was quite difficult to find a reliable small animal hospital in the city. When I called I was able to get a next morning appointment. The staff at the clinic are LOVELY and took great care of my boy. From intake to the technician to the vet I felt like they were very compassionate and took the time to listen to what happened and explain the situation and my options. They laid everything out clearly and let me make the decisions with no pressure. Prices I felt were very reasonable for the care and they preloaded all his medications. My little guy is on the mend and I am very pleased and 100% recommend this place for small animals.

Oz is a senior cat who is *very* difficult during his appointments to say the least (always has been even at his previous vet who retired.) Dr Odetoyinbo and team is fabulous with him. They are caring and thorough with such a difficult patient. Deji is honest as the day is long as well as skilled and knowledgeable. The techs are true troopers- Oz likes to release his bladder all over the table and they take it in stride. They use digital communication as an option and I appreciate how quickly I get the bloodwork results via email. I'm glad to have found him after my long term vet retired and am just as happy with the service here. And Oz sends apologies for his hideous behaviour.

Bathurst Animal Hospital had wonderful service and they really care about the animals! It's the personal touches that really make me glad I chose to bring my two little kittens here. As my kittens were being fixed, not only did they provide excellent and gentle medical care, they also went above and beyond to text my roommate and me real time updates on how the kittens were feeling before and after the surgery, complete with little kitty selfies! I really appreciated that they thought of my peace of mind in addition to the comfort and safety of my little kitties. They didn't have to do that and it made the whole event a lot less stressful for me. Thanks Bathurst Animal Hospital!

I have known Dr. Deji both as a professional colleague and as the veterinarian for my dogs for over 20 years now. He is an amazing, highly skilled and personable veterinarian. He took such amazing care of my old dog Lady, that we've decided to return to his vet clinic for the care of our new puppy. As well, I have had the privilege of meeting Dr. Hayes during a challenging health crisis with my dog, and she handled his care with professionalism and tact. All the staff at the Bathurst Animal Clinic are very caring and compassionate, and I know my puppy is in good hands in their care. Highly recommend the veterinarians that work at this clinic for the care of anyone's pets!!!!

My Crazy Guy Jude decided to get into our garbage the other day… Bathurst Animal Hospital was the only clinic that told me to come in right away. Once we arrived to the Clinic I called in (Covid protocol) and a nurse came out to bring Jude in. She assured me that he will be seen by the doctor shortly and to wait for the phone call. As she said, shortly after the Doctor had called and we discussed Jude in depth. They took great care of him right away ! Took X-rays, ran blood test and also sent Jude home with medications to help his tummy. Thank you Bathurst Animal Hospital for looking after Jude when no one else would!

I had my first visit at Bathurst Animal Hospital a couple weeks ago for my old girl. They explained to me the importance of Dental Care and I knew by the smell of Bella’s mouth that she definitely needed some of the care! They reviewed what they call a Care Plan for her Dental Procedure explaining that she might need teeth out as well! I was obviously nervous but because of their care and attention I trusted them and scheduled the Dental. I’m so happy I did! Bella has been better than great ever since! She must of had some pretty painful teeth… Thank you Bathurst Animal Hospital Team for giving Bella the best care!

Princess and I had a fantastic experience here!!!!! She was taken care of so incredibly that if I could afford to I would not h ave taken her home! The staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to ensure that my pooch was happy content and excited for his next visit to the vet! (which does not happen) The knowledge of the staff was fantastic and they were able to answer my questions completely and in a concise way! I was overall extremely satisfied and happy with the work done at the clinic (princess's teeth look better than myn after her last dental) and I like to think of myself as a picky consumer.

The team at Bathurst Animal Hospital are amazing! The staff genuinely care about every animal they see and treat them like they are their own fur babies! Our dog Sasha was cared for so well there when she had ingested raisins which can be so dangerous for dogs and she was watched around the clock for any complications. Can’t say enough about Jules the vet technician as she continuously gave us updates and put us at ease with Sasha’s progress and what was being done to ensure her recovery. Couldn’t ask for a better team when you want your pets to be taken care of whether in a time of crisis or a routine check up!

Dr. Caitlin is very professional. She provided the full check up with Coco, and explained details on every question that I had. The office team is also very friendly. They arranged the earliest possible appointment for Coco, so she won't miss the second vaccine. When we finished the appointment, I found out the battery of my car was dead. With a puppy waiting in the car, the urgency to go to work, auto club hotline with no answer, Gillian came to rescue. A special thank you goes to Gillian from Bathurst Animal Hospital office team. I recommend Bathurst Animal Hospital, operated by good people with good hearts.

Dr. Deji and the whole team are absolutely incredible. They have been taking care of our animals (past and present) for years. Their kindness, knowledge, support and wisdom have gotten us through some difficult health challenges and the loss of our beloved Goldie and their exceptional care of our kittens has been more than we could have hoped for. They treat each pet as if it were their own and each pet owner as if we are the only ones that exist. I’ve been taking my pets here for about 10 years and I have always received great service. The doctors Deji, Lo, Hayes, and Stormonth are extremely knowledgeable and always keep the patients best interest in mind. The RVTs, Tina, Julia, Amanda, and Catherine work exceedingly hard to provide the best experience for all of their patients. Lastly, the ACAs, Brittney, Destiny and Gill constantly put in their all to keep the hospital clean and organized. I would recommend Bathurst Animal Hospital to any new or previous pet owner as the hospital never fails to provide the most optimal care possible.

I came to this clinic when I moved to the area but I left after and did not return after my doctors failed to inform me about important aspects for my dogs vaccinations, they didn't even provide paperwork and the front desk lady gave me so much attitude when I asked for a certification confirming the vaccines given. They don't have proper annual testing, they miss blood and fecal testing. They will be nice to you to take your money but they won't give your pet proper care. I went back to my old neighbourhood where the clinic was amazing, it's worth the drive to just not deal with lazy staff.

I love the workers here! They took my cat in and told me not to stress, not some quick in and out type of appointment where I wait in the parkinglot, they respect peoples time and understand that people have other things to do in life! Loved that!! I gave them my cat and left, they called me and kept in touch to tell me the results and what not and I love how they asked permission before doing anything to my cat! Not to mention my cat is VERYYYY SHY AND TIMID!!! They must have made him very comfortable if he didn't run away or poop out of fright! I would HIGHLY recommend this place!!!!!!

I am so happy I found this clinic! My 5 year old absolutely loves coming to his annual checkups. The vet and techs are great with animals and they always explain to me exactly the purpose of each test or medication. My dog has had a run in with both rat poison and giardia in the past 4 years and both times they were able to give him quick care and an understandable treatment plan. He also loves dropping in to see the front desk staff for extra treats to weigh in and make sure his nutrition and exercise plan is keeping him healthy. My neighbours introduced me to the Bathurst Animal Hospital and I'm so glad they did. My old vet was in Scarborough and I would have to trek my cat all the way there. This location is right around the corner from me and is so convenient. It is just a quick car ride for my squishy kitty and is less stressful for her. The staff at the clinic are so sweet and genuinely love every animal that comes through their door. They are very compassionate and attentive to the needs of their clients. They treated my cat as one of their own and it is such a nice thing to see that they care.

Everyone here is friendly and when they explain things to me, it's easy for me to understand. They answer all my questions I have about my cat, and they are always checking to see if my cat is in good health, giving suggestions on how to improve my cats habits and lifestyle. Booking an appointment with them is easy, and they always make me feel welcomed here. They also make sure that I'm OK with the prices before buying anything, and also offer different alternatives in case it is not in my price range. The place is also very clean. I highly recommend taking your pets here.

My gosh what an amazing team. I was a last minute call-in and Brittany did everything she could to find me a time slot. Our dog Toby was very ill, but the moment I walked in I was entirely relieved that he was getting the best treatment. The fact that they have an on-site lab facility is the golden ticket. The doctor called me with the results within less than 2 hours and we were able to get Toby the prescriptions meds he needed within less than 4 hours. Gillian at the front desk was also super amazing! I am so grateful for this team. Also love the location.

I was excited to visit as my friend is the son of a staff member. Please avoid this clinic as they will up charge you. I sent my younger sister with my cat and they included food in the bill without telling her. She asked for a diet plan and was given and charged for $90 worth of food. At the time of payment, she was not told that the payment included food. I was going to bring my cat back for stool and blood testing but will never visit this clinic again despite it being the closest to me. Do yourself a favour and visit any of the nearby clinics.

Visited Bathurst Animal Hospital for the very first time on Aug. 06, 2019 to get my new pups first ever shot. I called in to get an appointment, but they were able to get me in the same day, and didn't have to wait for a different day. The staff and doctor that looked after Khaia has been nothing but very helpful and answered ALL questions that I had, and kept making sure I didn't have any questions, and ensured that we left their facilities worry free. I would highly recommend and/or suggest new and current pet owners looking for a new vet!

I went Bathurst Animal Hospital with my dog Gibson and I can’t say enough about Dr. Hayes and Jules Gimpel. They treated us so kindly and it meant the world to have them there taking care of us. I would return any time with my pets. Second trip to Bathurst Animal Hospital in August 2021 with our new cat Lola! She had escaped for a couple of weeks and once we found her, our first trip was to BAH. Again, Jules Gimpel and the doctor took such good care of us... and Lola! The nurse is rude and she is acting like she is the one paying the treatment. Felt in her teenaged years when she saw me. Looks really jealous of how I looks. Was racist of my French accent. Kind of girl that was getting bully at school lol. She told me that she and all the clinic was strict on the vaccines obligation and showed me the door cause I wasn’t agreeing with her: Vaccine wise. choose another clinic before coming here if you can. They have a really ratchet clinic looks and it shows from the service to the looks inside.

We'd like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude toward the team for their help on our dog Riceball's death. We just moved to Toronto and our 16 years old dog passed away unexpectedly. We didn't know what to do, but hopefully we came to this place and the team has been very helpful, explained us clearly every options and procedures. We received our dog urn on time, and it is done beautifully with the name we requested. Moreover, we received a sympathy card from them, it really warms our heart, Thank you deeply!

Hands down the best vet I've been to. The doctors and nurses here are not only professional, knowledgeable and friendly, but most importantly they care about you and your pet(s). Other vets and animal hospitals I've been to around Toronto have simply felt cold by comparison. At Bathurst Animal Hospital they won't push any brands on you, and they treat you and your pets like good friends or even family. It's a comforting warmth that makes a huge difference, and I can't imagine voluntarily going anywhere else with my pets.

The clinic staff are exceptionally responsive and knowledgable. My fur baby has seen Dr. Lo and Dr. Odetoyimbo who provide great care and answer questions. I. never felt rushed and I remember the first time I brought my puppy in, Dr. Odetoyimbo called me to see if I had any questions, adding that he had all the time in the world to answer any concerns I may have had. I've never met a more dedicated and compassionate team than the staff at Bathurst Animal Hospital. By far the best experience I have had with a veterinary team. They care as much about our animals as we do. I'll never forget the compassion and respect shown to me during such a difficult time when I lost my fur-baby in January. I brought my dog, Gigi to this clinic as a referral for affordable dental work. She needed a lot and they were so kind, understanding and professional. I've been taking my pets there for two years. The doctors and technicians are good and caring, but once the receptionist gave me wrong information about vaccine booster shot timing which worried me, and another time they scheduled me incorrectly and made me wait for about an hour, and when I was talking to them about how long I'd been waiting and I took time off from work to book that appointment, another lady spoke rudly to me and opened the door for me to leave the clinic!!!

They welcomed me in within the hour of me being in the process of leaving the previous clinic that I was bringing my puppy to. Great customer service, and Gillian was really great at giving me details on how their centre works, and my puppy was very open to her. She was great with him as well. I can feel that there was a trust built right off the bat and she immediately sent the request for my puppy's file transfer from the old clinic. I'm happy, and so is my puppy!

Always gives me the information as it is no hiding the truth. Price is high but then again what vet isn't? Will not do more than what is required to care for your pet and if you ask for more they will tell you why it's not a smart move or is a good move. Been with them for 8 years and both my boys are in good hands. No vet service is perfect but I'm very happy with the service given to my extended family and myself. Dr. Deji is the best and his team rocks.

It was our first time at Bathurst Animal Hospital and to be honest I was a bit scared about how my furson would behave. But Dr. Darren and his team was awesome with my baby that I believe he felt at home. ☺️ Even though we still not able to go inside due to COVID, the updates I received through text message, email and phone call was also very good and extremely necessary to keep me less worry about my baby’s first appointment. Strongly recommend.

Having just moved into the area, we took a chance in our local vet and hit the jackpot with Bathurst Animal Hospital! All the staff have genuine love of animals and are so good at what they do. Our vet Dr. Caitlin Stormonth was so helpful with both our dog and cat's health needs a - and even contacted us after treatment to make sure everything was okay! My family (four legged members included) actually look forward to going to the vet now (!)

Can only say good things about this hospital. When my senior dog developed heart failure this is where I continued to bring him to for the remainder of his life. Service before his health declined was excellent and as new challenges popped up, the doctors (Caitlin, Deji, & Hayes) and the entire team really continued to be great in keeping my dog's life happy. These guys are the best. I have been to a lot of vets in the city, but these guys are so caring. My dog has so many health problems, and they patiently care for my pets (and me) when I call them crying with my latest worry. The technicians are so friendly and they really know their stuff. BEWARE OF THE SUDDEN PRICE CHANGE!!! I was emailed the content of the bill for surgery a couple days before the surgery. The day I brought my dog in for surgery. Before doing anything to my dog, they gave me a different set of bill. It was a thousand dollar more then the 1st bill. I had no choice but to do the surgery. Time was running out for my dog because he had cancer. Since then I didn't trust what ever came out of their mouth

We were referred to this clinic by another patient and we are so grateful! One of our kitties wasn't well. I was afraid how she'd react because as a former "feral", she was very skittish and never let anyone pick her up. The minute we arrived, she was calm (I was the hysterical one!!). From Gillian (at reception) to Dr. DLo we felt so comforted. The entire team handled her with care. We tell everyone about this place!! THANK YOU!!

I have known the staff at Bathurst Animal Clinic for 16 years. During that time, I have always been impressed by their compassionate care, knowledge and professionalism. Dr. Deji has a wonderfully kind way with animals and shows genuine affection for them. He always gives a comprehensive explanation of issues and treatment, and very often follows up with a personal phone call. I would highly recommend the Clinic to any pet owner.

I took my cat Daisy in today for inappropriate elimination. The front desk staff was very friendly. Dr. Stormonth was wonderful! She kept her voice low to help Daisy feel more comfortable and explained everything in layman’s terms. She offered multiple options and let me take my pick based on budget and comfort level. The BAH team is compassionate and pet-centred. After such a great experience, I know we’ll be regular clients.

The team at Bathurst animal hospital was absolutely amazing when my 9yr old dog got sick. The care and kindness shown by Dr. Palermo and the whole team was exceptional - we felt supported and included in every step of her diagnosis. Even after treatment, the receptionist continuously checked in on Chelsea’s status. I couldn’t recommend this place more! If your animal needs some medical attention this is the place to go!

They have wonderful vets and friendly staff members! One of the staff is Japanese, same as me so this was very helpful and great. I brought my very first cat here and I had tons of questions! (Including how to trim nails and clean her ears) They were able to help me understand everything and were very helpful and supportive. This is my family doctor for my furry child! Was looking for a vet that would see our hamster left a vm and they managed to get us in right away. Service was awesome, unfortunately we couldn't meet the vet in person but she definitely made us feel so comfortable that she was caring for our fury little guy. She was very informative even my daughter felt so much more at ease at how sweet Dr. Caitlin was. Would definitely recommend the clinic.

We have an English Bulldog who tends to need extra special care, and we put 100% of our trust in Bathurst Animal Hospital. They are always so helpful, friendly, supportive and even call to check up on our guy when we don't have an appointment booked. Such a lovely vet clinic. We took our 10 year old cat in for a check up (first time in several years), and even though we weren't able to go in with her due to Covid, the vet called us and walked us through everything in great detail. We really appreciate their input! Parking isn't the greatest so just keep that in mind when you come, there are lots of side streets to park on nearby.

Our two big boys (dogs) came to the clinic for their first visit on Saturday. Dr Caitlin and the ladies did a full wellness check, bloodwork and updated vaccines that were due. The team was great. They explained everything they did in the visit. Dr Caitlin allowed me to ask all my questions so I could make informed decisions regarding her recommendations. Will definitely be back!

The staff and the Dr. were very courteous and thorough. My dog has not been feeling well and I feel that when I left there he felt much better. I am very confident they will be able to diagnose what is going on with him. They answered all of my questions and made me feel better when I left. This animal hospital is Great. My pup has unfortunately had a rough go recently and they have made the experience a lot more manageable. Dr Caitlin is amazing and all of the nurses as well. Professional staff that care about the well being of your family pet. I have been bringing my pets to Dr. Deji Odetoyinbo for more than 25 years. He is caring, compassionate, helpful, brilliant and a great diagnostician. All of their staff are amazing. Gillian is incredible and is so knowledgable. Very caring staff, able to accommodate appointments quickly. Short waiting time from when I arrived until my cat was seen. Brought my cat in because she was sick after being spayed, they gave me tons of info and offered additional tests to determine cause. No sales pressure when I asked if I could take my cat home and watch her for a day or 2. (She recovered fine)

Had a positive first vet visit. Dr. Lo is very kind and patient as well as his veterinary team. He explained things clearly over the phone and answered all my questions. Their front desk manager was also very lovely to deal with and was very helpful. Up front fees are a bit on the high end so definitely recommend having pet insurance as the costs add up quickly.

Had a great experience here, the staff were wonderful and really show they care for my little guy. Brought him in for a dental cleaning ( I was nervous), the staff and doctors helped relieve a lot of the anxiety I created by keeping in touch with me through out the day. They definitely gave him the best care I've seen in a long time. His teeth were amazing !

The Bathurst Animal Hospital staff are super friendly and caring. I walked in with my large mastiff mix and he was immediately greeted with warmth and affection (not something I've experienced at different clinics). You can tell that all staff from the vet to the receptionist, are all animal lovers and care that your pet gets the treatment it needs.

Dr. Deji has cared for 3 out of 4 of our pets. All staff at this clinic were professional, friendly, helpful and caring. I trust them so much with our fur-babies that we are back with them once again with a new addition to our family. After the passing of our last pet, we took a few years off, but today, it felt like coming home. Glad to be back!

The staff are very friendly. They make me and my dog Buddy feel very welcomed every time we come in, in comparison to the last vet we were with previously. They communicate well, and likes to check in with how your pet is doing from time to time. Dr. Deji is amazing! He is my absolute favourite. Very understanding, friendly, kind and caring.
