The girl with the pointy face, brunette ponytail and the constant scowl really needs to change her attitude. She’s been like this since she started the job, and she seems to work a lot of shifts for someone that obviously hates being there! I’ve heard other customers ask her “Have we upset you? What’s wrong with you, you look so miserable”. Has she ever smiled, seriously EVER? I wouldn’t recognise her if she did! I feel like every time I’m served by her, that I’ve done something wrong, as she’s constantly giving me the ‘Eye Daggers’. I feel like every coffee I drink, I’m actually drinking her misery and sadness. Why is she acting so Defiant?! Who hurt you? Obviously she’s gone through some kind of trauma, and I truly feel for her, but this job is not for her, and the owner needs to do what is obviously required. She needs to find a job that doesn’t require warmth and lovely customer service skills. It’s actually painful just walking in there. I couldn’t imagine walking into a lovely Tuscan Patisserie and encountering this attitude, she wouldn’t last five minutes! Having said that, the food is great! Try the Buffalo Mozzarella Wrap, damn good! Ciao!

When you desire a traditional Italian cake or savoury food you may automatically think of the Carlton/Brunswick/Coburg areas. But I was delightfully surprised to find an Italian Pasticceria in the hills right on the main strip in Belgrave. Belgrave Bakery serves the best of traditional savoury and sweets to appeal to all likes. I called in specifically to feed my coffee fix and requested a Sfogliatella, a typical sweet pastry from Neapolitan cuisine. The host, Fabio, originally from the Ile of Capri (what a place to come from) knows the traditional recipe and presented me with a Sfogliatella hot from the oven. Perfection. Suddenly I was back in Napoli. Plenty of culinary choices to choose from and plenty of seating available. Friendly staff happy to serve makes this Bakery a must pit stop. Highly recommended.

This little bakery is also an ltalian Pasticceria (pastry/cake shop). I went in hoping to find either jam or custard donuts and l wasn't disappointed. My eyes caught the little round sugar coated balls of creamy vanilla custard-filled delights as soon as l entered. They were smaller than your average donut but sometimes that can be a good thing. They also had various pastries and l tried the cauliflower/cheese pie. It was a great vegetarian choice - flavoursome, cheesy with a crunchy pastry. The donut was excellent. I regret only getting one. I will definitely stop by when l'm next passing through this area.

Classic old school Italian pastries, just what I needed before cycling back to Collingwood. This place has some really nice sweet and I would definitely give them a go. I really liked my pastries. The pistachio icing on top was great. Belgrave almost feels like a country town compares to Collingwood, it's really quaint and this cafe isn't far from Puffing Billy either. I prefer my sandwiches from the cafes, as the Puffing Billy options were a little bit lacklustre.

A pleasure to have a freshly baked croissant so early in the morning when so many more up market cafes peddle stale items as fresh. The coffee was only barley serviceable, however, and owing to the lack of internal seating (C19 scare?) I had to endure single digit temperatures on the pavement outside. A major positive is the availability of the shop, it being a very early bird prepared to catch the early worms.

My wife just brought home some bakery goodies, from you. You have restored my faith in local bakery quality and how good it can be. With many other shops seeming to have bland, tasteless food and super poor quality service, yours takes the cake! THANKYOU FOR THE WONDERFUL FOOD, oh, thanks to my wife for going to you! I can taste the European love in your food!

Great food and sweets at lowest prices in the area. I was going to go to the pub up the road, but looked at the really pricey meals on the menu and end up going to this bakery instead for lunch. My son and I ended up having lunch there for less than the cost of one meal at the pub. We also picked up some.melt in the mouth donuts to take home.

I love this bakery, whether it's a wrap for lunch or a egg and bacon roll for breaky but most importantly the best coffee going around. In fact I travel 10 minutes out my way most mornings to get my morning fix from this little gem. If you want quality with a smile at value for money please do yourself a favour and stop in.

Many options of pastries, pies, sandwiches and desserts. I loved the rolls, especially for the bread. The owner is a baker too and has a strong Italian accent, which is everything that I expect from a great bakery. The authenticity is present in every food. Highly recommend and will go back when it's possible.

Update sep22 had a chicken snitzel burger which was really nice today. Service was great. Up to 5 you go. Original Service was friendly and the coffee was hot and enjoyable. There muffin was fresh and ok but I think it was made with dried apple instead of fresh which was a little disappointing.

I went last Sunday with my son. Great service, very friendly service too. Excellent value for money and they sell the best custard donut I have ever eaten. Seriously this donut was next level. Vegemite scroll was pretty good too. I will definitely seek this place out when I am in the area.

I am a little bit bias (cause I'm local) but the folks at Belgrave Bakery are warm, funny and lovely. The food is excellent and the chocolate mudcake..........OMGoodness, you'll never be able to look at another chocolate mud cake after you've tasted what Adrian can do!

We popped in today on our way home, surprised to see there was an Italian pasticceria/bakery in Belgrave. We bought the eggplant parmigiana & some bomboloni to take home. Yummo! Both delish! I may now have to travel a bit to get my sweet & savoury fix …

Coffee is fine and relatively cheap (compared to other cafes in Belgrave). Customer service is terrible. Received a smaller coffee than I ordered and wasn't offered a partial refund, and was later grudgingly offered a replacement. Not very friendly.

Went in for lunch. Chose my items and was charged more than what was on their boards. Asked and was told the "prices went up but we haven't changed the board." Last time I checked this is illegal. no offer of refund. Won't come back on principle.

I've been going to this Bakery for years and they usually do everything perfectly. In the last year their wholemeal loaves are quite often day old or more. You can tell the difference, because when you get a fresh one they are superb.

Love this Little place! Great pies etc. Their Nutella donuts is to die for! Customer service is friendly & attentive! Child friendly, although if going with a pram there might be some space issues... I recommend this place!

Had a coffee latte here , coffee was amazing especially for someone fussy like me , food delicious , l travel from wantirna to Belgrave just to buy their Almond lemon biscuits , so delicious and Staff are always friendly !

I come here on regular basis. They have incredibly fresh food and a wide variety of meals to choose from. Coffee is great. Friendly staff and outdoor seating has a nice view during sunny days. Reasonable prices as well.

Genuine Italian pasticceria with lovely skippy items too. You can't beat the quality or price of the mini donuts - 5 for $5 in generously filled jam, nutella or custard flavours (tissue pack for a frame of reference).

Great little bakery, made a good cup of tea(hard to get in Melbourne), nice food and lovely staff as well as well priced. Although no steak bake or 4 sausage rolls for a quid like a Gregg's. But much better quality.

I can only speak for the sausage roll... it was all pastry and not much meat. The meat that was there was mostly fatty. Not the worst I’ve had, but nothing I would get again...
