Very rude receptionist who can’t be bothered to acknowledge us let alone smile when we were waiting for her to finish her chat with her colleague before attending to us. The dentist was worse, very unprofessional, spent 3 seconds pretending to glance at my child’s teeth which he didn’t see, won’t listen to my child who was trying to explain the reason for her visit, very abrupt, cutting us both short amidst sentences and very dismissive, literally rushing us out of his office once he made me fill out the forms with which he’ll claim charges for service he didn’t provide. Definitely the worst dental service ever in my opinion! This wasn’t the first time either, the receptionist always shouted at my family whenever we visited the practice and I just don’t understand why they are not even trying to be professional at all. Or perhaps they’re selective in who they treat nicely because as far as my family and I are concerned, we’re always nervous going there. We were kicked out in less than 45 secs after entering the dentist’s office. Their main focus was on getting the forms completed and no interest whatsoever in why we were there.
TLDR: Unprofessional dentist caused damage to my gums and teeth during what should have been a standard checkup and clean. Today was my first visit to this dental surgery. Sadly, I will not be going back. The reception staff were pleasant enough, but the dentist lacked basic social skills (and that's coming from an Autistic person!). Both he and the dental nurse didn't introduce themselves, so I have no idea who I was seen by. He did not test my gum health, as is normally standard. He made my gums bleed during cleaning - which was also a painful experience and done in a very rough manner. He also didn't polish my teeth properly; I had polish flecks all over my face and he wasn't paying attention whilst doing it (too busy talking to the nurse and not looking at what he was doing with my teeth) - which resulted in some teeth being over polished and some not very much at all. Upon getting home and inspecting my teeth, I found that he had split/cut my gums in a number of places - the largest being next to my left canine and visible when I smile. I went in pain free and came home with sensitive teeth and painful gums.
Got a last minute appointment today so went get my teeth checked in. Got called and was seen by a dentist called Mr Bassi. I just felt like he was in rush with the rude behaviour. Initially when I went in with my jumper and there was a nurse and probably an observer who said you can hang your jumper behind the hanger but then this dentist said to me keep it with you , which I was a bit shocked. If there's a place where you can put patient's extra clothes then why would he ask me to keep it with me? Secondly, he was very blunt in terms of giving the right management plan. He was like you could leave it as is or extract your teeth If its not improving. Everybody knows it. I just felt like I went to see the dentist for no reason as if I had nothing to do. He finished my sonsultation literally with 3-4 mts. It feels like this place is purely business oriented more than for the patients.
Terrible service. When they eventually answer after being cut off several times they put you on hold as soon as they answer without asking if you can hold you just hear a quick 1 minute or hold. Then your left on hold for a long time 15mins plus. I had to put the phone down several times as a couple mins is fine but that is just going too far. This is not the first time that I've had this issue. It has been every time I've tried to call. I have emailed and they say you have to call to make the appointment although I cannot do that as they don't answer/on hold for too long. Once when I got an appointment I had to cancel as my daughter (1 years old) was unwell and they had the audacity to give me a warning although if someone had answered I would have been able to cancel on time. Just WOW terrible. Oh and don't bother leaving a voicemail as they never call you back.
I have been a patient of the surgery since I was very young (now aged 24). Overall the dentist and reception team are great. I make an effort to book a clean and check-up every 6 months and they always find a date and time that accommodates me (sometimes even a weekday evening), often they phone me on the day to say that I can come in earlier which is always a bonus. I make the effort to travel from Dartford because I am that happy with the service of the surgery. Granted the dentist is very speedy and often I am in and out within 10 minutes, but last time they took the effort in giving me an X-Ray which I hadn't had for years. Over the whole time I have been at this surgery, I have only ever come across one miserable receptionist that luckily I haven't seen for a while.
I had a dentist appointment this afternoon at Bellegrove dental surgery, welling with dentist Peppa Khan . During examination she advised me to clean my teeth and gum . I agreed her advise to clean. But she spent only less than five minutes cleaning it. She didn’t clean my all teeth and gum . I don’t believe I got the right service what I paid , £65.20 , in that time period. I don’t believe she followed dentist ethics to check me properly. Either she asked me to pay for the service which I didn’t need or she didn’t look after me properly in the minimum time period. I would like you to look in to this get back to me please. Thank You.
RIDICULOUS PRACTICE - I signed up as a new patient this year and they must have automatically booked me in for a check-up appointment the following week (they did not make me aware of this). My daughter was due this same week so I would not have agreed to this appointment, needless to say this appointment was missed. They are now refusing to re-book me and told me 'find somewhere else'. Imagine if a doctors surgery operated this kind of policy - absolute disgrace. Have done me a favour really as I would not want to visit such an unreasonable surgery, just a warning to others.
We were recommended this dental surgery by another parent and we have found them to be very child friendly. Appointments on Saturdays do book up quickly and you will sometimes have to wait a while if you don't want to go during the week. For us adults the dentist we see is efficient but he lacks a gentleness when he does a clean. It feels like he's always in a rush and it does hurt! Despite this he is helpful and happy to answer questions. The surgery has a car park or Welling station is a short walk away. There are also buses along Welling High St.
This was my dental surgery as a young man and I'm surprised to see the same staff still there. I left because I had an accident in early 2000's that meant I needed major work. Mr Bassi told me not to tell anyone, took me to a surgery in New Cross and did a botch job. I know it was a botch job because my teeth kept falling out and Mr Bassi's advice was to stop playing sport and eating apples. I eventually had my work done at Welling Corner by Dr Lijesen and my teeth haven't left my mouth for 15 years.
Have been going to this dentist for a few years and for the most part have received excellent care and some of the most successful and long-lasting fillings I've ever had. However, on one occasion the appointment felt a little rushed and as though they had perhaps missed some minor problems that needed addressing. With that being said, I have not had any major problems with my teeth since this occasion. Overall, a great practice and surprised to see some negative reviews.
Starts poorly with the Receptionists who ignore you when they arrive. Sometimes having a chat or doing a little bit of admin you are never gonna be a priority. Onto the dentist who seems to always be in a rush. I've been coming for a few years and the service has always felt totally impersonal. You get the feeling that they are trying to churn out as many patients as possible. I guess it's just business at the end of the day...
I’ve been looking for a new dentist and I’m so glad I’ve found one. The reviews here are not fair on some of the fantastic doctors that are caring and patient like Dr Jonathan Thirunavugarasu. He is professional, considerate and kind. The receptionist were friendly and helpful too. Don’t understand the negative reviews , so I thought I better write in and share my positive experience.
Great dentist! Had a filling done here when I was around 15 years old, I am now 26 and the filling has not fell out, although (after over 10 years) I started to now have problems with the same tooth the filling is in so bellegrove managed to get me a same day appointment and seen right away- Thank you so much!
The dentist i saw was off hand, and missed out two teeth I had problems with. I had a temporary filling in one of my wisdom tooth, and he missed that completely?! And there was a decay on my front tooth(at the back of it) and he missed that too! Dentist very incompetent. No words to describe it.
We had a bad experience before with a different dentist so my partner and kids came to this Bellegrove dentists to try - they saw very nice gentleman dentist with a beard who was really good with the kids. They are very happy will be changing to this dentist. And there is easy parking.
There are no dentist in that surgery, just random people from the street. Two treatments-two disasters. Reply: it looks that surgery is not that good on keeping records to. I had a check up and another appointment for the filling 2 month ago, now I have to have it removed and replaced
Since Covid appeared, we can only benefit from medical services, there are no more appointments with doctors. It's a pity that they have become the weakest clinic. I will retire as soon as possible. I feel sorry for Dr. Mitrova, she is really very good!
This is the best dentist I have ever used and i have used a lot i am almost 50. he don't waste your time he is fast cheap. The only dentist I ever see with price list. All my children use them going here about ten years really good work they do here
I visited today on an emergency basis, and I will revisit again. The dentist (Abirami Panneerselvam) was lovely and showed empathy. They explained the reasoning behind my sensitivity and gave out treatment plan. Revisiting again. Highly recommend.
Reception staff and nurses pleasant. Dentist I saw was off hand when he found out that I am on the NHS!! My temporary crowns dropped off 3 times. Crown now inserted badly, I can't floss between it. Will not be going back to this practice.
The dentist just looked at my son's teeth gave him a toothpaste prescription no wash and asked to pay £21. When I complained i was asked by the receptionist to rebook another appointment to have a clean. Absolute RIP off.
Been to many dental practices over the decades and this is the best service all through. Excellent. The dentist is quick, friendly and informative, really skilled at extractions and fillings etc. Helpful receptionists.
Great practice reception staff are helpful and courteous my treatment was carried out over a number of weeks, Mr Patel was excellent throughout Id throughly recommend many thanks
I have been a patient for 35 years, but all they've done in the last 5 years is literally cancel or reschedule every appointment I book!! I've never know anything like it!!
Very efficient computer system with gentle reminders. My treatment was carried out with care and consideration. Would highly recommend. Also has plenty of free parking.
Paid 40 pounds for a private treatment in order to get thorough dental cleaning, but it lasted less than 5 minutes! Would not go again and would not recommend it.
The dentist only briefly look at my teeth and done the washing very quickly not even 10 seconds. I was kicked out in a minute. And the reception is rude.
I had a cracked filling and after 5 visits my teeth are still painful. Ive had to book an appointment to a different dentist to do what’s needed
Good overall service. The Dental nurses/reception staff were pleasant and helpful. The Dentist was informative and good at his job.
