I'd previously given BYC a good review but after two recent rubbish experiences, I've disappointedly had to review my review! Firstly, and as an example, on a very recent Sunday music afternoon with the wonderful Tony, patrons encountered a very rude member of staff who showed an arrogant and unprofessional attitude. She refused to allow an outside door to be closed even though a strong, cold wind was chilling everyone inside! Her excuse? "Management told me cos (sic) it's Covid rules". She refused to give her name yet claimed to be the Duty Manager as she leaned against an outside hot embers brazier, cigarette one hand, red wine the other, warmly wrapped in a winter slicker! Although numerous requests were made by guests and more importantly, Club members , she continually refused to use any common sense let alone some compromise! Silly, immature and damaging to the Club. Any point complaining to Management? Not sure but I know it's soured quite a few people from revisiting.

The company that I work for had our Christmas dinner at BYC last Saturday, and have done in years gone by. I have nothing but praise for the venue. Excellent views, excellent food and excellent service. A large range of variety to suit all tastes & prepared and served to a very high standard. Hope to continue patronage for many more years to follow.

Friendly staff, and free entry on the "Saturday Night Rewind" nights. Love the great music supplied by local radio legend and DJ Brett Marley. Hits from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's all together a great night out, just listening or dancing the night away in a great club atmosphere. 7.30 till late!

Great location second to none on the eastern shore working in hospitality myself clearly there’s zero management here from the bar and restaurant not to mention the lack of cleanliness inside the establishment shame speaks volumes as to why there were 3 people there when I walked in.

The food was sub par. Definitely not worth the price we payed. The venue however was average with some reasonable views however it was definitely lack lustre in comparison to the photos. The beef cheek was mushy Andreas little to no flavour. Would not come again.

Been coming regularly for past couple of months. Not being managed to full potential nor being run like a professional yacht club. No boags on tap over Xmas and the flags aren't even up!

Had dinner here on the recommendation of a Hobart local. Highly recommend. Great setting, great service, great food, and well priced. Enjoyed our meal here much more than a pricier, highly regarded restaurant in Salamanca.

Myself and friends have been attending on a Friday night fairly regularly for the past 2 years and have been watching a steady decline in atmosphere due to poor management time for a change shame we had some good times.

Attended a function here. The location was great, the staff working on the day were not. There was over 80 people with a grazing platter, but no self serve tea or coffee. They had to be ordered from the bar....

Such a fun venue, hassell free, mature age people all out to enjoy the afternoon, evening. Great food, cheap drinks friendly staff. And well what a fab view of My Wellington and across the Derwent River.

Friendly environment, staff are lovely and plenty of room for groups. Bar prices are very reasonable and view is impressive as it gets on the eastern shore. Great out on the balcony in Summer

Set on the waterfront at Bellerive with sweeping views across the Derwent River to Hobart beyond. Good food and drinks and great outdoor entertainment on Sunday afternoons from 2.00 to 5.00.

Friendly atmosphere and beautiful location. I have been to engagement parties upstairs and bday parties down stairs and both spaces for a band or dj. Lovely people and good price drinks.

Comfortable, clean club house. The meal I had was well cooked and reasonably priced. Wine just the right temperature for me and delicious coffee. Friendly fast service.

Excellent venue for the Bayview Secondary College annual celebration dinner for Year 10 students. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Meals were fantastic.

The chicken was very sub par, tasted like spicy soap on a Wednesday afternoon. The lamb felt like jelly left in the sun for a day. Waiting for dessert still.

Great marina and ver y professional and reasonably priced marina services. The club offers meals and there is live music at least once a week.
