Pros: Out of all YMCAs in the area I have been in so far, i can say for sure this is the best one. I don't know how old is this facility but it looks its newer than other facilities so that could be a reason. There are a lot of machines and gears so even if the place is too busy you don't feel it when you decide which workout you will use. The indoor track is amazing, it is long, spacious, and has nice views to all of the gym areas so you don't feel isolated. The swimming area is also great, there is separated section for kids and separated one for lap swim, however there is only three lanes, the water is clean which is fine for most of the time. There is also a sauna, whirlpool ( slightly small) , and steam room. The locker areas especially the family one, I would not say it is the best , I've seen better than it, cleanness wise is OK I would say. I've never attended any of the classes so I can't give them a review. They also have a great day care for anyone need childcare while working out. Staff is friendly. Cons: nothing much but if I have to say something , the swimming pool hours are limited ( I guess due to staffing shortage as most guards are very young so they have school/college). the problem when the swimming is closed , the sauna and steam room are closed too. Not to forget the annoying shutdown when a lighting heard nearby , I understand they have to follow safety measures but I think it is too much and more theoretical risk; according to Aquatic Safety Research Group, "There are no documented reports of fatal lightning strikes at indoor swimming pools. None!, I mean if there is active thunderstorm in the area it makes more sense. The other thing there Wifi signal is weak ( I mean if 100 people playing streams at the same time yes sure!). For unknown reasons they don't serve coffee in the coffe mashine in the afternoon and evening ( it is not the end of the world). If my home has a very close gym like this one that will be my dream!

I am upset with the Nashville YMCAs. They are very obviously classist. They only care to upgrade facilities in affluent neighborhoods. I pay just as much but get stuck with the least desirable Y with much less amenities just because I live in West Nashville and not in Brentwood/Franklin. The Bellevue Y only has ONE mat pilates class on ONE day while Brentwood has over 3 teachers and multiple classes to choose from. Bellevue has a tiny indoor pool and no outdoor pool and its a very small Y. Now theyve closed down the Maryland Farms Y and are cramming way too many people their concord location that also lacks parking space. I shouldn't have to go alll the way out of my way to get to a Y that has an outdoor pool and mat pilates. I have knee issues and this is the only exercise class I can do that helps strengthen my body! I hate how unequal the YMCAs are. Now that theyve made millions from selling Maryland Farms they BETTER improve the Bellevue Y too. This is not okay.

I am quite certain that I am but one of many who miss our daily workouts at the Y during this time of pandemic lock down. Which is one reason I am moved to post this long overdue review giving the Bellevue YMCA the highest possible rating: the staff is excellent; the full range of equipment is high quality and replaced or upgraded regularly; the entire facility is clean, well lit and well ventilated, including locker rooms, showers, and bathrooms; and the overall atmosphere, from both staff and users, is welcoming and supportive. In short, the Bellevue Y is a superb facility in which to spend an hour or two every day, and while I appreciate their on-line resources, I very much look forward to reopening day.

We have been a member for awhile. We join because everyone was so nice and helpful. We had questions about our account yesterday with a woman at the side front desk around 8pm on Friday, 12/15/23 and we felt uncomfortable while speaking to the staff member for the first time since being a member at this YMCA in Bellevue. The staff member wasn’t friendly, rude and made us feel like we didn’t matter. We won’t be back due to the way this woman treated us. We hope that the manager can make adjustments in the future so the community doesn’t have more people treated rudely during the holidays and the New Year in 2024. The Johnstons

Affordability: If you're just starting out of college or have a low income, the YMCA is extremely cheap for what you get (all access). Get the city wide one and you can go to any YMCA in middle tennessee Facility: Very clean, most machines functional and up to date, definitely have something for someone of all levels. I don't do any classes, but they seem to have a good selection FREE PARKING The only negative is that there is no pay per use, there is only unlimited monthly access plans. I would not recommend the YMCA if you are looking to work out once a week or less.

The other Y’s stay open later than Bellevue which makes them better for working people. The policy of shutting the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi an hour and a half before closing is very customer unfriendly. I Other Y’s keep these open until a half before closing. While the staff is generally friendly management seems less concerned with their members needs than at other Y’s. I have started going to Franklin which,although farther from my home, is more welcoming and now use Bellevue if time is a real concern.

The community & upbeat atmosphere, as well as fitness and health goals are the reasons I attend the YMCA daily. During our county-wide mandate, the Y has found creative ways to stay pertinent and thriving! For instance, outdoor classes 6 days a week and everyone who walks in the door must wear a mask and sanitizer! I know things are tight at the Y right now, but the support that you all provide is immeasurable. I am grateful to have the Y to go to everyday while my family is still “safer at home”!

Like all YMCAs, they are always run by great people. This location is a bit small and very well attended. The result is that this location is kinda stinky inside. Lots of folks working out in a smaller space with maybe not enough cleaning crew to keep things smelling clean and fresh. If the smell is not an issue for you, its a nice Y. They need an outdoor pool because Bellevue has zero community pool memberships available.

Good facility, but way too small. Bellevue has severely outgrown this location and they need to expand. Gets very crowded at times including the middle of the week days and can feel kind of tense when everybody is right on top of each other. Customer service not the greatest either. Employees look at you funny, and seem lost when you ask for help or assistance, which suggests lack of strong leadership.

The Bellevue Y is by far the best in our area. It's always clean and the equipment is well maintained. There are plenty of machines so that you rarely have to wait. The cherry on the cake is the staff! They are always friendly and welcoming. We have been members for 14 yrs and even though we moved 3 yrs ago further from the Bellevue Y and closer to another, my first choice is ALWAYS Bellevue!

Clean, lots of cubbyholes to put keys/cellphone if you don't want to use a locker, can walk indoors or outdoors, small rink for rollerblading/skating (I use this often it's safer than skating on the road or a Greenway), childcare, a great deal of fun things to do for seniors, free classes, indoor pool closes when it storms for our protection, and much more

I absolutely love everything at the YMCA. I love that I can bring my child to the Y play and everyone is so nice and professional there., I also love the indoor pool, with the lap pool, and the hot tub is very nice. I also love walking on the State Of The Art treadmills. Very clean facility, and it’s great that’s it’s Christian based.

Everyone on staff is so nice and pleasant!! I look forward to each visit. It is also always neat and clean. I enjoy the lap pool and I always feel like the lifeguards and staff are very attentive to what is going on in the lap and rec pools to ensure that everyone has a good time and no one gets hurt. Going to the Y brightens my day!

Bellevue YMCA accommodates all ages from infants to seniors. First class facility with modern equipment, indoor pool, activity gyms & large rooms for a variety of exercises and programs. Professional staff with trainers and people to keep the beautiful facility clean, safe, and modern. Happy place with friendly people.

I am so impressed with the swim lessons at the YMCA! My youngest son was afraid to go underwater for the longest time, and within 15 minutes of his first lesson he was completely underwater and so happy! Blown away by the professionalism, intentionality, and enthusiasm of the instructors… Cannot recommend it enough!

I am so very, VERY grateful that the Bellevue Y has been able to operate during COVID observing very careful protocols. I primarily use the pool, and Jamie and the guards are awesome. I love the lane reservation system. I have made some very good friends at the Y, and it is my "happy" place.

This Y is great. It is clean and the staff is friendly. I am a member of the Fifty Forward group and they have excellent classes and lots of fun activities to get involved in. The water aerobic classes are excellent and the instructors are vey well trained so you get a good work out.

I visited the Bellevue facility to get acquainted with the gym and the rules of the place. I was very well impressed by the offerings and the kindness and professionalism of the staff member who gave me a tour. Thank you very much for a very well run facility and well trained staff.

We have been going here for three years and it is by far the best YMCA in middle TN. The people remember who you are and always have a smile. Our 1 year old has been in Y Play since he was 2mo old and everyone makes him feel so special and welcomed.

I love the atmosphere at the bellevue Y. It has every single thing I want in a gym. It is well equipped with every kind of machine and everything is kept in good working condition. Every staff member has been incredibly nice and helpful.

Everyone is super friendly, the exercise classes are perfect, Mac and all the staff are wonderful. We enjoy seeing the kids in the nursery area. There are many programs to participate in. And we enjoy the coffee break after our exercise.

This YMCA is a great community center! I go often to work out and run/walk on the treadmill. The equipment is always top notch, and the facility is clean. I do wish they had a bigger locker room, but that is picky of me!

Great facility for families. Clean and staff is always super nice. I go with my toddler so I can workout and he loves it. Never crowded and equipment is always available.

My son and I come here four/five times a week. He loves the rec pool with slides and fountains. If you have a child under the age of 10, they will love this pool.

I do swim team at a different location but I come here to practice doing laps. My brother works out here, and I sometimes come with him and go to hangtime.

Thé AOA cardio, circuit and strength classes are terrific! The instructors are excellent! Wish there were a larger studio because the classes are so full.

I loved this location more than any other in Nashville. I've yet to find one, either while travelling or since moving, that is better than this one.
