You can see my new LaCie d2 Professional 4TB USB 3.1 Desktop External Hard Drive (STHA4000800) if you review my photo. Try to ignore the other items in the room! I bought this item online. I am never going to post a negative review, but I do have some thoughts about my online experience. I sometimes surprise myself when I do not necessarily buy the cheapest thing in the solar system. I do thoughtfully check Google Reviews. I have bought lots of gear from Best Buy over the years. I have used their website. I almost always purchase my gear via PayPal. I paid more than I had to pay, but I remembered, at the last second, that I had bought lots of LaCie gear over the years. I think of LaCie as high quality. I SOLD their gear for years back in my day. Once I had placed my order, I did not get the usual constant email updates that I usually receive from other eRetailers. I could not even find the order inside Best Buy's site. I soon grasped, despite being properly logged in, that I was processed as a Guest, I presume, due to bouncing out sideways to allow PayPal to do its thing. I feel very safe with PayPal. My order status seemed stuck at "Processing". I knew PayPal would not release the funds until the order shipped. I recall bouncing around quite a lot and I felt that my url, after one bounce, showed slightly more than www.bestbuy.ca . I am aware that www.intl.bestbuy.ca, for example, is likely a fraud site. I panicked and felt I had been scammed. I resisted the urge to cancel the deal. The next day, everything seemed to look okay. My status evolved beyond 'processing'. I did not grasp that my order shipped from BC to me in ON, Canada. I was not 100% sure I was receiving my HD from Best Buy or a 'Blind Ship' vendor partner for quite a while. I was not in a rush to receive the item; I just wanted a bit of extra info regarding status. I noted that my HD price dropped $10 the day after I processed my order on Black Monday. I didn't bother seeking price protection. All that said, the HD is quite slick. It's got a solid state drive, and it winks at me all the time. I used the super slick software formatting utility to create three partitions. I liked being able to register my HD with LaCie (which, as far as I can tell, is really Seagate). I will absolutely buy again from Best Buy online. I do like their North Queen Street location too. I do realize how hard it is to maintain a website and to constantly cascade all the info that the users want to see. They will receive an A for effort for sure. If you see my photo, you can also see Mr. Reliable in the back. That 750 GB FireWire LaCie has lived in a SAFE for almost 20 years. He is a backup of a backup of a backup. He is finally socializing with all the other gear. He has earned his promotion.
UPDATE: As per Best Buy's response below, I went to their online chat and the person did not understand what was going on even though I sent them my review and Best Buy's response. They seemed to have difficulty with English to be honest. All they said was, "We don't have any offers." So sorry Best Buy. Even your online chat, someone named Dhodda Y, isn't even helpful. You want to help, reach out to me directly 'cause this is terrible customer service. Cell Phone Plan Area - I was tricked into thinking I was getting 5/5 quality. 1st time I went - I knew the new iPhone 15 Pro Max's weren't out yet, but I wanted to go over potential plans for when it did. Alvin, the manager, was helpful, informative and even gave me his card and said to email him when they did come out and he will set me up. Email - I emailed him on a Monday and got no reply. So on that Thursday, I emailed again and got an apology from him. He said he would give me a call Friday. That was September 21st. It's now October 18th. October 16th - I went in to hopefully get an answer on deals/phones etc...No Alvin, but two others that work there spent a good five minutes near the security camera area talking to a senior customer. It was clear after a few seconds that only one of them needed to be there. Neither of them were checking to see if there were customers waiting at the cell phone area until I approached them. They fell out of their trance, I assume the senior customer service person was a magician 'cause that's the only logical reason why they weren't checking to see if anyone was at the cell phone counter, and to help demonstrate that the conversation with the customer wasn't important, they left him right away and both attended me. So they were wasting their time and not checking their area. They informed me I'd have to order the pro max online but after all this lack of communication, incompetent customer service...I'm out. This Best Buy deserves it's 3.6 rating. Are there great staff there? Yeah, one or two. Most have "phoned it in" though and are only going through the motions. These days I tend to know more about the technology they are selling which is sad. Remember when they used to be the experts?
My 5 star review is for Martin Leung who works in the major appliances department at the Sherway location. He went above and beyond to help me with 2 awful Best Buy online experiences. The first was with a treadmill purchase last Boxing Day and the second recently with a dishwasher. For the treadmill, the delivery guys refused to bring the treadmill to the basement stating it was outside of their job responsibilities, meanwhile we were assured by the online agent that they would deliver this to the basement location. Even after sending new delivery guys, they refused to do it. After many calls and time spent talking to various agents on the line, I went into the Sherway location to find a person who can help. Martin Leung was very understanding and helped me navigate the situation even though his system is completely different than Best Buy online. With his assistance and guidance we finally got this delivered and installed. For the dishwasher, I ordered an open box one in “perfect” condition online for a rental property, which turned out to be completely destroyed once the installer came to install it. I called customer service and they needed “proof” it was no good, so I had to track down the installation company that Best Buy contracts out to get their report, and once I finally found them, they refused to give it to me. I again came into the store looking for Martin to help me, which he did. Once the dishwasher was returned, I purchased a new one from Martin and all went 100% perfectly. If you need an appliance, I highly recommend Martin. He is very kind, helpful, not pushy… probably this store’s best asset.
I made a discovery today that I wish I had made a long time ago.. it was bittersweet, because it was such a wonderful experience, but sad that they weren't as popular as the big box stores even with knowledgeable staff which were wayyy friendlier, and helpful. I'm a contractor (construction). I don't know much about computers/laptops, so youtube is my go to.. I needed a Sata cable and an ethernet cable. Like most people I would imagine, I though Best Buy was the place to go.. nothing against Best Buy, they're a great store for what they offer.. selection. Let me tell you how THREE employees in the computer dept didn't know what a Sata-USB cable was or what it was for. I had to show them on Amazon. One of which couldnt tell me the difference between a Cat6 and Cat7 ethernet cable.. Geek Squad came through but explained they didn't carry the Sata cable. I asked them about Staples, and the two of them directed me to Canada Computers, which I had never heard of until today. I'm in Etobicoke, so by chance, Canada Computers had a store across the street from both the Staples and Bestbuy.. I walked in to Canada Computers, was greeted immediately, and was helped by someone amazing (I wish I had remembered her name) she had all the answers for me. Anyway, the store isn't as dressed up and fancy, but if you want help with Computers, this is the place to go.. I know I won't go anywhere else as of today. And bonus for you woke folk.. if you'd rather help out local businesses instead of big box stores, this is a perfect way to do so.. Hope this helps! you can thank me later
This is in reference to their mobile department. I wanted to buy an unlocked phone and had to wait in line for over 1.5 hours while the two working employees were negotiating deals with people looking to switch contracts. I had asked multiple employees if it's ok to just pay at the front, or even order online&pick up in store but they told me no. When I asked why, I was told because certain number of phones were reserved for if other customers would do BOPIS (but I was happy to do so it it means no lines). After consulting with a manager, they were able to sell me the phone, but was told I still had to wait in line to get the payment completed. Since I was there for an hour already, I thought it was a seamless and quick pick up. I was wrong - they made me wait in line still since only the mobile advisors could sell phones. In fact, when I got to the front of the line, I was told they can't sell me unlocked phones. Upon showing that on their website I can do BOPIS, or even better, order directly from the DtC website...and a manager approved this half an hour ago, then they were able to assist. Terrible customer service and made no sense! the entire transaction took less than 2 minutes but I had to wait in line to purchase this item. I also wanted to purchase another piece of electronic (smart thermostat) but had to go to the front of the store and wait at another line to process this. Absolutely horrendous method of processing transactions. 0/10 would not recommend.
I purchased an Iphone 13 and a protection plan here. The seller named Praveen confirmed with me that I can call in to cancel my protection plan and ask for refund. However, it took me forever to get connected to the right person. The website mentions I have 3 options in order to cancel my plan: chat with an agent, call in, and come to the store. Guess what? Initially, an agent could not do anything; I called it for several times and waited for more than 2 hours, no one picked up; came to the store and they asked to call in. How am I supposed to do? Finally yesterday, when I chatted with an agent and asked them to transfer to the Billing Department agent called Gabriel, then my plan finally got cancelled; however, they could not waive the fee or refund the unused portions. Just called them again at 3AM and finally got connected. Again, the agent named Jay said he could not waive the fee. He also mentioned that this is the first payment that got charged on Dec 29. This is NOT true! I got charged twice. The first time was when I purchased my phone at the store Nov 25 and the second time was Dec 29. So why am I not refunded for the portion of the protection plan that I haven't used? This is ridiculous! Hope they will email me to resolve this problem. I will never purchase anything at Best Buy anymore. Really frustrated to deal with this problem, especially when it's holiday seasons!
I haven't been to Best Buy in ages since I mainly buy online where other vendors are usually better (more selection, lower prices, faster delivery). I was looking for a portable Bluetooth speaker and wanted to compare the finalists (Ultimate Ears Boom 2 vs Megaboom). This time Best Buy looked like the right place. They were not busy and had the items in stock. The store has been updated and looks fresh. It was much more confusing than shopping online. I eventually found the right section. Items were organized by brand rather than product. Why would someone looking for speakers want to see headphones too? I couldn't find Ultimate Ears and there was no one available to help. Finally, I found the section. It was large and easily visible from the walkway that goes around the store but that wasn't the path I took. There were lots of speakers but they were glued to the display! I couldn't compare the weight of the models that interested me. There were buttons to hear the speakers but they didn't work. I didn't see the physical boxes of speakers. How are you supposed to buy one? At the exit, what would I say when asked: "Did you find everything you were looking for?" There were five employees near the exit but they were busy with themselves. No one spoke to me as I left (or the entire time I was there). Next time? There probably won't be one.
Worst. Experience. Ever. I got the tvs and protection package and wall mount from the Queensway location. That part wasn't the main problem, although the transaction took forever and the actual manager apparently lied to me about a few things. Fast forward to my tv instalation. It was installed crooked. Of I wanted crooked, I'd have installed it my self instead of paying the so called professionals. The levels all showed it was crooked. The 2 installers tried to say it was a bracket issue and said that they'd get the store to call me in a week max and have things sorted out. The previous installers said the bracket was faulty (not the instalation). They also said they couldn't go get a new one even though thr store was 10 mins. from my home or stay because they would be off shift soon. Fast forward 5 weeks and still no call. So I called and got no one. I then went online and tried rhr chat function. I set up a service call. Today the gentleman tells me that a new bracket is going to cost me. He also said that when the store manager said they wouldn't install their tvs with a bracket from somewhere else, that wasnt true. So basically, no integrity in the work or word of thr people who work out of this location. My service call is between 1-3pm today. Let's see if they actually fix the issue.
Martin was a phenomenal help during my purchase today. My recommendation to improve best buy would be acknowledging amazing employees like Martin, promote him to manager, let his professionalism, product knowledge, and customer service skills be taught to new employees. He is the face of customer service, great salesmanship, and a above and beyond shopping experience. He had great knowledge on the specifications of the features of the product, patents, discussing shipment times if I were to wait for a new product to come in stock etc. Just every little question I had he was able to answer and more. I even took the time to tell some customers who were in the area that they are in the best hands ever because Martin was so helpful during our purchase. In today's world its hard to get employees who care, Martin is a rare gem in this world. Martin was so fantastic I am extremely thrilled with my microwave purchase. I've been thinking of buying an air conditioner for a while but my interaction with Martin has made me want to go get one tomorrow, and I will be returning to buy from him again at this location! I trust him and his knowledge on products and I want to support employees and businesses who put in the effort. A huge thank you to Martin. He is fantastic!
I wanted to take a moment to leave some positive feedback about Martin Leung. I recently purchased a stove from him and was extremely impressed with his professionalism and experience. He was not pushy at all and gave me several options to choose from based on my budget and preferences, which made the process much easier and enjoyable. And he managed to give me a great offer compared to the competition. Unfortunately, the Maytag stove that I had initially purchased arrived with a dent, but Martin was extremely apologetic and worked quickly to solve this issue. He had no control over such accidents but he made sure that I was taken care of and helped me choose a different Samsung stove that I ended up being very happy with. In fact, he even gave me a great deal on the new stove and made sure that it was delivered quickly and on time. Throughout the entire process, Martin was pleasant and professional, and always followed up with me to ensure that everything was running smoothly. His level of dedication and customer service is simply outstanding, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking to make a purchase. I will certainly be buying from him again in the future. Such a positive experience.
Horrible service… waited over 15 mins for someone to help me with laptops. Asked two employees and both send they couldn’t do anything as it’s not their department and I should just wait around or try looking for someone else?! Ended up going to the MacBook section in the front to see if their was anyone to at least help me with those. After another 5 mins someone was sent to talk to me, supposedly he was knowledgeable in that department (apple/ MacBooks) but didn’t really have a clue about the difference between various other laptops and Macs or even between comparing different MacBooks… He then told me he would just find someone in the laptop department to come talk to me. So I waited for another 10 mins for him. He came back to tell me that everyone was busy and I should just go wait around the laptops as I did originally or just kind of look for another employee and try talking to them. Will be going to other stores in the future and hope that Best Buy improves their employee training. Especially for employees who are working in specialized departments; such as laptops or MacBooks, areas where they should know what there talking about to be able to properly assist customers.
Went there to buy a MacBook adapter I brought the wire with me incase just to make sure I get the right one. At first i looked around to see if i could find it and nothing. So i asked the guy standing at the door and he told me to ask the guys by the phone desks i went there there was no one I saw another guy with the blue shirt so I asked him and he was helping another customer so he told me to go ask in the laptop repair section, went there and was no one that I could ask. Finally at the end I found it myself and asked him if I could open it to see if it fits my wire he said i can’t open it so i told him to ask anyone that knows if this is the right adapter. Then he asked and finally told me it is. Overall such a frustrating experience the way they’re throwing me around to each other for a laptop adapter they should be more knowledgeable than this. This Best Buy’s staff used to be way better before Covid I bought my phone from there and had a smooth transition. I’m not sure if it’s management or some new staff but they all suck
Back in December 2021, we visited Best Buy Sherway In Etobicoke, ON and purchased a Washer & Dryer with help from Martin. We were brand new homeowners (since June 2021) and being faced with our first major appliance purchase was incredibly daunting. Martin made the process as easy and as straightforward as possible. We sincerely appreciated all of the insightful advice he gave us when making this big and expensive decision, and we are absolutely thrilled with the performance of the washer and dryer that he helped us choose. When we were faced with the need to replace our dishwasher due to a leak that has destroyed our kitchen flooring, without question we knew we needed to visit Martin. When we arrived in-store, he was quite busy and had a bit of a lineup waiting to talk to him. He called one of his colleagues over to help us, but we decided to leave and return later to see if he was available and he was!! Our new dishwasher was ordered within a half hour and will be here in a couple of days. Thank you for everything, Martin!!!
Martin Leung was highly professional, helpful and sincere. He was looking out for our best interests and our family's needs. We were struggling to find the best washing machine and dryer to meet our needs. After going to multiple stores there was no such luck until we found Martin! My husband and I spoke to Martin on multiple occasions and not only was he patient he was also providing us with multiple options and told us to take our time to think it over. We actually live quite far however, Martin has exceeded our expectation as a sales rep that we just kept making the trip over. Not at one point was he pushy or rushing us through the process. I would highly recommend him to all my friends and family to help them when it comes to making any purchases at Best Buy. As a professional sales rep, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Martin and his attitude towards helping us. I’m only giving my experience a two-star because Lauren, the Dyson representative, was beyond amazing. She was friendly and knowledgeable and could answer every question about my new Dyson vacuum without hesitation. The issue is that the other Best Buy staff here were rude and condescending. Witnessing the interactions they had with each other and customers was cringe-worthy. I would have walked out without purchasing my $1500 Dyson, if it wasn't for Lauren’s constant friendliness and willingness to help. At the cashout, Lauren asked a coworker (Rahul) to get an electronic item that was locked away and was part of the deal with Dyson. Not only did he snap at her offering no assistance, he then proceeded to ignore her and me. While I stood at the cash for 10 minutes to pay, Lauren was trying desperately to find an Associate to assist her. Thank you, Lauren for your positive attitude and friendly service. Shame on Best Buy for allowing staff to treat each other like that.
Bought my Alienware there on September, employee persuade me purchase insurance for it promise me if computer has any problem, they will give me a new one. Hard drive died and I send to geek squad on end of November, promise me will fix it and bring it back within 2 weeks(not change for new one, yeah, I was stupid to trust a sales guy.) Geek squad’s “friendly driver” took 2 weeks to bring computer to “geek city”. Finally it took 6 weeks to bring it back with lots of scratch and losing outer shell, what a amazing speed. Never answering phone, didn’t receive any emails or calls. Nothing personally, what I could say is this company doesn’t treat customer’s property well and fail to training their employees properly. Finally, where is my god damn charger wire, how am I spouse use my computer without my wire?! Doesn’t worth for one star, shame on bestbuy.
I recently had the pleasure of being assisted by Martin at Best Buy for purchasing several appliances for my new kitchen. From the onset, Martin was incredibly helpful, demonstrating an impressive depth of knowledge about the products. He took the time to understand our needs and preferences, ensuring that every selection was the right fit for our kitchen's design and functionality. What stood out the most was Martin's patience and attention to detail. He walked us through the pros and cons of different models, helping us weigh our options without feeling rushed. His recommendations were spot on, balancing quality with our budget. Martin's customer service skills are commendable. He was friendly, approachable, and genuinely invested in our satisfaction. It's rare to find someone so committed to delivering such a personalized shopping experience.
This place needs to really figure out who they hire. The staff are very unprofessional and racist. There was an “Indian” guy named Harry who has a really bad attitude. He was losing his temper, swearing, and throwing objects like pens. He even tried to step to me but he backed away when I stepped back to him. On top of all this he is working in the customer service department. All of this was because he read the receipt wrong and he said I couldn’t return a warranty. After showing him that he was wrong he had no choice but to accept the return but he wasn’t happy about. This is terrible behaviour and very unprofessional. He even tried to lie to me that I need to keep the warranty anyway because all laptops fail after 1 year. This is a blatant lie and a shrewd sales tactic. I hope some action will be taken by Best Buy.
Had to take a sec to recognize this lovely young man named Gurshwan I came in looking for some help and feedback about computer/laptop and after getting bounced from one place to another with other "busy" employees, I was approached by Gurshwan asking if he could help He was so incredibly helpful, honest, and genuinely took a personal interest in providing the highest level of customer service. I am not easily impressed but this guy was such a breath of fresh air and his warm professional demeanor made my day I hope he is recognized for the awesome job he does As a customer, this kind of service is what keeps us coming back and I would be incredibly grateful to have a person like this representing my company / on my team! If you are reading this, thanks again for all your help!! I sincerely appreciate you!
I normally don’t post bad reviews but this is just poor organization on Best Buy. The last few times I frequented the store I left without what I was interested in buying while browsing the store because the items I was considering were all in the wrong location showing the wrong prices. Multiple items in the home not just the odd one some customer put back in the wrong spot. The entire stock on the shelf was incorrectly placed misleading customers to think the prices were correct. I live in the area which is convenient to get items quickly if need be but I will not be buying from Best Buy anymore. Multiple occasions where items are all in the wrong spots just makes my experience shopping there frustrating and more time consuming. I will be using Amazon and other electronic store from now on.
Biggest scammers - bought geek squad protection here a few years back and was told I could upgrade my phone any time by sending it in. Fast forward a few years, my phone broke and didn't work and they wouldn't even fix it on the spot! I had to send it in but no guarantee I would get an upgraded phone but the exact same one (which is over 6 years old). Been trying to call the geek squad helpline to speak with a manager, no call back at all and it's been a week. Gave up and tried filing a claim online and now it is showing that I have a missed payment (I have an automatic payment set up) and was told it was a payment from 2019? Funny how this error never showed up until now when I need a new phone.... don't waste your money and shop elsewhere, Best Buy is the worst!!!
Nobody ever picks up the phone here. You can try multiple times. They have some outsourced call centre in a third world country. Well those people are super nice they just don't know anything and have zero training. If you want to waste your time at the store go ahead you will get zero service if you have any questions later on on the. It is impossible to get hold of anybody by calling the store. All of this is done in a clever manner to keep the cost down and to make the customer go away rather than answering any questions they may have on the product they spent hundreds of thousands of dollars. Just go to the manufacturer sites.l direct you will get much better service and everything gets delivered.
If zero starts was an option i would picked that. Bough cellphone from bestbuy website. Phone came and something was obviously lose in the phone. Called customer services, it was supposed to resolved in 24-48 hours and it wasn’t. Went to the store and manager told me that even tho it was sold by bestbuy web page it was third partys phone. So they are selling stuff on bestbuy webpage not checking it. Now they couldn’t exchanged it for me, even tho I’m leaving for a trip and i need this phone in next 3 days. This is my last purchase in best buy and i will also urge friends and family to do the same. If u don’t stand behind products u sell dont sell them and waste your customers time.
6 days ago I took my friend to best buy to purchase go pro and he used his international card to pay for go pro . When he used his card its says approved but didt print any receipt. So store employees told us that it didt went thru so we tap again and it's says approved but didt print. So they told us not working so I used my card for go pro. Later when he check his bank account they already took 2 times . I've went to bestbuy and told them we need our money back and they told us it's will take 2 to 3 business days but nathing. So today when I went to best buy they r saying 10 business days . It's not our mistake and it's taking too long to get our own money back.
I ordered an Xobx series X on line, last Sunday. A label was created Tueaday and the Best Buy website says it shipped out Wednesday. No activity on UPS website. No one at Best Buy seems to know where my package is. Extremely disappointing, now it's a minimum 5 to 10 days to complete their investigation. Meanwhile they have my money and refuse to cancel my order until thier investigation is complete.I feel like everyone along the way I have spoken to has no idea what is going on or how to find my item. First time ordering online with best buy and I will never do any business with Best Buy! If you want to get your item in a timely manner don't order from Best buy!
Needed a PS4 controller as I bought a used PS4 for my son. When we got into the store we clearly saw the PlayStation signs so we knew where to go. The displays were disappointing and they had very little selection on the shelves. I could see the disappointment in my son so I was force to speak to someone. Once I finally found someone my day turned around. He was very pleasant to deal with…I wish I got his name so I could mention it. He had to look in the back where he found the exact controller my son was looking for a Camo colour. We paid I joked around with the guy and he laughed…..as a dad any laughs count. We’ll be back for any of our electronic needs.
My partner and I had a great shopping experience at this location, all thanks to Martin! We went in looking for an appliance and were overwhelmed with the different options displayed in store. Martin was informative, professional, and guided us in choosing the product that best fit our needs and budget. At no point did Martin rushed us to make a purchase. He took his time in explaining each product on display, made recommendations, and patiently answered our many questions. The service is very poor at this Sherway location here. No accountability or integrity. I went to purchase a laptop ($1000+) but the transaction failed and I left with no laptop. However I was incorrectly charged $500 to my debit. I have shared my declined transaction receipt with the store, my bank has disputed the transaction many times over the last year and still no answer from the store. Unbelievable. I have receipts! Lining the wallets of corporations unfairly. What a scam. I will no longer be shopping at best buy until this is resolved. If anyone from best buy is reading this, I would like my money and time back. Thanks
Writing this review after the positive experience we had with Martin in major appliances. Having never bought major appliances before, I was very much worried about purchasing our stove. Martin made the experience so pleasant, his kindness and humour made the interaction feel so friendly and not at all like your stereotypical “salesman”. It gave me great relief to know that Best Buy employees are not on commission and are therefore a lot more genuine than other sales associates at competing stores. We walked away with confidence, knowing we bought a great stove at a really competitive price, from a really nice guy.
My partner and I purchased a set of appliances from this location a few weeks ago and were assisted by Martin, who is the best guy you can ask for in that department. Having never bought major appliances before, I was worried about purchasing our fridge, stove, dishwasher, washer, and dryer. Martin took his time to walk us through everything we asked for into detail and made sure we got the best package for the best price. He is so polite and isn’t trying to just sell you appliances, he is genuinely trying to help you and fulfill your needs. Thank you, Martin!
I was shopping for soundbar and I spoke to Amal in Tv and Audio dept.He suggested Sony HST5000. He had two in store one was open box he assured me no issues with it warranted same as new one. Once I got home to find no remote or cables to connect also unit looked beaten up scratched. Next day after confronting with him that I’m not paying $1500 for used soundbar. After discussion with store manager Amal gave me a new sealed box for same price. Now they know that they have me as a customer for future business. Thanks guys BTW it’s a kick A__ system
My husband and I love this Best Buy location, it's hands down our favorite!!! As soon as you walk in, you get exceptional service. The employees are caring, professional and knowledgeable. In particular, we absolutely loved dealing with Simran, he's our man!! He helped us out sooooo much with our TV purchase. All of our needs were met, he is so pleasant and professional, knowledgeable, patient and super nice. Had a great experience. Im not sure if something has changed since the beginning of September, but customer service was on another level. Not only was I approached by a number of employees during my browsing, but upon entry one employee guided me to what I was looking for. He then asked some questions and provided answers/solutions which would best fit my needs. It over selling but just finding the right product for my needs. That guy is either a manager or should be one and deserves a raise. Best customer service I have ever received from Best Buy.
I have had to use Best Buy roughly 4 times in the last year and every time I visit, all the items I pick out seem to be labeled wrong and priced incorrectly. The first two times I left empty handed because they expected me to pay $240 for a keyboard that was listed as $60, but since then I started taking pictures of the incorrect pricing and asking for managers so I can get the price they’re actually advertising. Staff can be helpful with questions, but the incorrect stocking can be really frustrating.
If you need home appliances, do yourselves a favor and go to this best buy and ask for Martin. He is kind, very knowledgeable, a great listener who will work to find the appliances that meet your needs (budget, or other key factors). I also appreciate the time he takes to walk you through important steps such as the delivery and installation requirements, and his tips and recommendations are great. Great customer experience and so far excellent appliances, smooth deliveries and installations.
Customer service doesn’t seem to know their own policy. Wanted to return my breville espresso machine even with having a authorization number from breville they would only provide store credit. Different from what customer service said from head office. When asked to speak to a senior manager I was told to look for his information on LinkedIn. Went to another best buy and got my full refund. Always buy big ticket items direct from manufacturers easier to return and have the same sale prices.
Worst Customer service. I went to take a look at smart watch and had selected few to compare and try it on my wrist on saturday morning. Asked few of the best buy representatives.Each of them was just looking and was pretending as if they were super busy. I felt very much inconsiderate and ignored by the staff. And this best bus was not low on staff. Would Never recommend to go and look for products unless you have pre-decided to buy because no one will show up from the staff to cater you.
The website says Cybertek items usually leave the warehouse within 2 business days, I waited a week with no communication. I contacted the seller and was told I had to wait 3 more business days to hear back, so I called Best Buy and they gave me an email that didn’t work. Finally I got a shipping email with an order number, however the number doesn’t work when I try to track the package and I’m currently still waiting for it to arrive. Very disappointing, and won’t be ordering again.
I cannot agree more with Michelle R's review. Martin from this store was super! He is really knowledgeable about his products, incredibly helpful and he gave me many much needed practical advices. Martin really puts in the time and effort to help and I am so happy with my appliance purchases. Probably one of the best examples of poorly structured customer service. Wanted to get a get a pair of airpods pros, no one was there to help out. Once I got someone, they advised one person can help me, the guy at the earphone (?) counter. He was tied up, so I asked if anyone else could jump in... No one could. 6 employees hanging around, but none could help. Because it wasn't their department. Waited for 20 min before I left. 1/10 wouldn't go again.
I picked up an order that I purchased online and the sales associate at the customer service desk failed to give me my reciept and a bag. I asked him "don't I need my invoice or a bag"? and he said no, Its fine. Well appeently it wasnt fine. I was stopped by Best Buy security (following me around) in another store. I have never been so embarrassed in my entire life. How about training your employees properly. I will never shop at this store again.
I walked in today needing a new phone as I had a very bad experience with Bell. I was greeted by Isaiah, the manager who helped me right away. He was amazing! Very professional, helpful with a great attitude. He is a true Rockstar at making sure that I got the best phone that would work for me! Staff are very rude and unhelpful just waking around. The person at the Apple section didn’t even bother to help and told us to find what we need ourselves. We went to the cash and asked for what we are looking for and Patrick who’s in training was super nice and helpful and was able to find the product for us. He truly went above and beyond. I’m leaving 4 star review just because the amazing experience we had with Patrick!
Five, maybe six years ago I bought an HP laptop at Best Buy. A regular, new laptop. After a few years, the sound mixer malfunctioned. When the technician at the service center unscrewed the bottom cover, it turned out that the computer was not new. Refurbished. I bought a new one, paid for a new one and received a sloppily put together junk. The technician nearly cut his fingers. There are a lot of scammers in this store.
We bought a washer and dryer from Best Buy. There was a supply chain issue so we had to wait a while before they could be delivered, but we received outstanding service from Martin Leung. He kept us informed throughout the process, gave us a good deal to make up for the long wait time, and made sure that everything went smoothly with delivery and installation. I went in yesterday to purchase a few home appliances for our new house currently under renovation. I was amazed by the level of support and care I received from Martin. I was looking to buy an iPad for my son. I chased down an employee, he said it wasn't his department and would call someone over. I waited 10 minutes, and flagged another employee, who said the same thing. Waited another 10 minutes then left. 2 stores down is a Walmart, they sold me an iPad in less then 5 minutes. Terrible service at this best buy. Go to another location if you want service.
Was in the store for 20 min trying to find someone to help me purchase a tablet and accessories. Not one employee acknowledged that I was there or bothered to ask if I needed assistance??! Taking out the garbage seems to be more important than a customer wanting to buy. I guess they'd rather I take my business to Amazon instead. Terrible in store experience! Don't bother wasting your time!
The entire experience of ordering online to collecting the product via curbside pickup was flawless and efficient. After ordering online, my order was ready within 20 minutes for pickup. The wait time for getting the product in hand after arriving at the store and checking in was roughly 5 minutes. It was impressively quick. I will definitely use this service again when needed.
We bought a Samsung dryer at this location and after a bit over a month we began experiencing some issues with it. We needed a replacement and an associate Martin was extremely helpful with that. He made sure I didn't have to do the extra work trying to get my dryer replaced and everything worked out better than I expected. Definitely recommend going to this Best Buy location.

Looks like sales persons are interested to sale brand products other than their own brand 'insignia'. They had too much knowledge on products but failed to answer specific question about 2 years protection benefits. Had to repeat same question multiple times and had a very uncomfortable experience interacting with a some how frustated saleman.
My wife and I had a very good research and shopping experience at the Etobicoke Best Buy today. Parmeet was very knowledgeable about the Samsung Frame TV we were interested in. He answered all our questions and provided additional insight and information, was professional and courteous. A top notch, quality customer service experience. Kudos!
Spent $900 for a purchase with no help or consultation. Nargis the manager or the cashier - zero product or brand knowledge. Rude and lacked customer service skills. Very poor customer service. I was there today to buy a soundboard and I was waiting half an hour for someone who works there to help me choose what is the best to buy there and I didn't ask one worker but she was rude to me and ignored me so I left because no one wanted to help me, I will never return there.
Lazy geek squad here... I was just looking for something that was in the warehouse, because the shelves were empty... But the geek squad guy who was just a step from the warehouse told me to find someone in a blue shirt. I thought all of them are working for the Best Buy... I guess not anymore.

Best Buy is a chain of stores selling electronic gadgets. Computersand accessories, Lcds, Mobilesand accessories, Kitchen and home appliances, games, Refrigerators etc etc. As the name suggests, there are many discounts. The store is big and display is nicely done catagory wise.
I like best buy in general as they have the newest and coolest things. I was trying to buy a router and it took over 20 min to find someone to help as I had some technical questions. I end up taking pictures and googling it as the help I received seemed like guess work.
I bought phone from them when i have to claim the insurance they told i have to pay something and after i argue they say its a glitch in system. No outstanding payment They don’t even want to help me out sassy the girl I have to face too much just for my insurance claim

We came into the store about a lost shipment. The managers promised to call us the next morning with an update. Two days later, still nothing. Before I left, I asked for their phone number in case no one calls me. The response I got was that they don’t pick up.
The staff here are incredibly helpful and kind. Aldrin spent over an hour helping me to identify the best laptop based on my needs and budget. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient, answering all of my questions honestly and in detail. Amazing experience!
