Re boarding... The staff are very friendly and seem to be doing their best. But I'd say no on boarding your pet here. -One dog - our older higher needs dog - came back emaciated and not moving well at all. We called regularly and were told that the dogs were eating and happy. But by the state of our dog, seems feeding was not supervised and not much movement or activity was provided. -Was sent home with wrong bedding and when I went to get the bed 2 days later it was soaking wet. They said it needed washing? Why? Why did it take 2 days to get around to it? -The website pictures of the outdoor area are also misleading, it's actually a cement floor cage 2.5 x 4m with no shade. -On drop off, we were told that the advertised walking service was not available. It was too late to find another boarding. Sorry but overall a very poor experience for boarding. Will not use again. Sounds like it's a good veterinary service by the reviews, but a no no for boarding in our opinion.

Unfortunately not the best. Having 4 cats and moved to the area a year ago we visited Bexley VET a number of times and our experience and intrinsic feeling were great disappointment. One person greeting us at the door from the very first visit and a number of times since, she is cold, detached, not taking pride in her work. Perhaps she should work in the mining industry where she doesn't have to deal with humans or precious animals. It is sad, over the years, we had to deal with a lot of veterinary places, Doubley Bay VET HQ, Bronte Rd VET, Maroubra, SASH and a few more, needless to say they were all fantastic, friendly and attentive. Not so BEXLEY VET and she has been told so yesterday. Customer service is way below expectations. Will not be going back, rather take my cats elsewhere. Since i have to rate and i can not give a zero star, however please consider receiving none.

We've taken our pets in their various shapes and sizes here for years and have always been more than satisfied with the high level of care given, be that in the form of medical attention or when being boarded and those aspects in themselves are worthy of a five star review but it was the latest visit we made that truly proved what an asset this clinic and its staff are to the area. We had an emergency where our cat suffered some extremely traumatic injuries and we given all of the information in a compassionate, unhurried manner with all the facts, costs, unbiased advice and risks laid out for us to make the best decision in our pet's best interest. It was a very emotional day to say the least for our whole family and we are all very thankful for the empathy we were shown and the level of support we received over that whole terrible situation.

Had my kitten booked in for a monthly checkup and vaccinations. Arrived at the clinic on time but no one was at the reception. No problem. Tried ringing the bell and say hello but nobody responded. Staffs walked passed me and ignored me when I reached out. Fine they probably were busy. Was looking for a toilet so I could get some tissue. Immediately got yelled at saying I shouldn’t be wandering around. Okay sorry but if I had someone to ask I wouldn't have to looking around myself. I explained my situation only got told they did not have enough people like it was my fault. An hour wait for a 10 mins service, I don’t think I can afford that so I won’t visit again for more insulting experience. If you are short on staffs, take fewer bookings then. At least don’t say it out loud as if you are proud of it.

We recently had an extremely traumatic event regarding our two beautiful dogs Juno and Moose. The staff at Bexley vets were compassionate and sensitive and even their eyes were filled with tears. How they carry on doing their jobs every day with such compassion is beyond me. They also sent us some beautiful flowers a few days later and I don't know how else to thank them apart from telling strangers on the internet how they made our grief a little bit easier to bear. Thank you.

We had our dog put down at this vet. We paid for the cremation service they offer with the urn of ashes to be received within a week or so. In the end it took over two months to receive the urn. When I called to ask for an update I was treated extremely rudely by the owners son who told me they will call me when the urnarrived and not to call back. Many of the vets there also seem to be lacking basic compassion. Go elsewhere if you care about your pet.

Disappointed. My dog been seeing them for 15 years got treatment from both good and bad vets. Just called the reception and find out the vet I have been seeing has left and basically got told there won’t be anyone taking over nor anyone will respond to my email to the vet who I have been seeing. Long wait time for the next appointment so in another word she is asking me to take my aged dog to see someone else after 15 years!!!

Booked ahead to get a teeth cleaning for my dog. Told them on the phone when making the appointment we haven't been to their practice and that we have had a recent check up and hand bloods and all records on file. Had to wait an hour on the day as they served others that walked in after and then eventually told that we need a consultation first even though was never mentioned on the phone. Wouldn't bother going there

These guys are so professional and compassionate. We recently had to have our family dog 'Max' put down. The care, advice and guidance shown by this vet was second to none. Even after the event, a bunch of flowers and a card was delivered to our home address as a gesture of sympathy. We recommend this practice to everyone in the St George area. Well done guys and thankyou during this difficult time.

Most of the vets I have dealt with here have been good. I had issues with a vet last year who rather than be proactive and reffer my girl to the specialist vet hospital, continued to just take blood samples. Other than this the rest of the staff are lovely and very caring towards the animals that they look after. My dogs actually enjoy going to the vets!

  • Ashley Prasad

I haven’t been to this veterinary clinic and heard good things. However, I have called twice to make an appointment and they asked if I could stay on hold which is fine BUT STAYING ON HOLD FOR 1 hour 25 minutes IS NOT FINE I hung up after releasing they close at 7:30. Brag about having extended clinic hours but clearly not worth it.

My cats stays at the boarding facilities for 5 nights, friendly staffs and great services. Especially thank you to Christine for the extra communications by letting me know how my cats are doing during their stays. We will come back again when we need to to be away in the future. Highly recommended.

  • A M (ぬこ)

Adopted both my cats from Bexley Vets. I had both cats stay with their boarding services recently, the staff were friendly and supportive all the way. A very big thank you to Christine for updating me with my fur babies progress and sending me photoes of them during their stay. Highly recommend : )

  • Theodora Civiti

Complete rip off, every time we go the costs of consultations and tablets go up. Then charging $22 to get a prescription printed, my family and I have had pets our whole life and never been charged to get prescriptions printed... highway robbery. Would not recommend the vet to anyone

  • Alice Artuso

Gary has been my pets’ vet for almost 3 years and he was great. When he left the clinic I booked an apt with another vet, showed up on time and they told me I didn’t have an apt (I sent an email to book and called to confirm the apt). Very poor service. We won’t be coming back.

  • Hso

Our cat was examined by Dr Anneke and it was completely stress-free, very different from what we experienced at another vet hospital. Dr Anneke was very patient and even explained cat behaviour to us which is helpful info for new cat owners. Will come back again :)

  • Kiki Flowers

Been going here for over 10 years, do yourself a BIG favour and have a look at the ratings lowest to highest... pretty much sums them up. Dissapointing that i had a few bad experiences myself and then a recent one which just completely shook me and opened my eyes.

  • Leisa Curtis

We had to put our beautiful boy Zeppy to sleep 2 days ago. The staff at Bexley Veterinary Hospital were so lovely and caring, ensuring Zeppy was looked after. Our boy just drifted away, totally pain free. We could not have asked for more. Highly recommend

  • J Young

Y'know, every time I've been in there the other folks in the waiting room have been nothing but adorable with their floofs. The staff look to genuinely be 'up to their shoulders' in animals (so busy) and pricing has thus far been very tolerable and fair.

  • Miss Budz

Vetpartners owned so it should be doing well. Seems to have gotten worse since Gary the vet left. Very busy practice. But have huge staffing issues. Receptionist/nurse Marie has a major attitude problem that could be why they have staffing issues.

  • Marilyn Gee

We have moved to Sydney from Toronto but we I had a dilemma with local vet I called our previous vet at Toronto for help. They were so helpful in solving my dilemma. Tali and I will really miss them and their great service for the last 5 years.

  • Julien

Booked an appointment at 11:30am, was late by 5 minutes due to traffic. Walked in apologised for being late, receptionist gives me attitude and says 'well your appointment was at 11:30 and you're late', tells me to sit and wait...had to

  • Fay Alas

Gary is unlike anyone i have ever met, on a human level and of course as a vet. When i met gary i instantly felt a connection, comfortable to talk to and my little dog was relaxed with him also. Gary is honest and is well and truly

  • Michael Harwood

The professional get there was very nice. She treated our cat perfectly and I was surprised because our cat is not easy to handle. We also got great advice about how to handle fleas at home. I'm glad we found this place.

  • Chantelle Taylor

Take great care of my animals. Never rush the appointment, but that does mean that most of the time they run late for appointments. Still, I wouldn't change vets because of that, just something to be aware of

  • Paul Ricco

Be prepared to empty your wallet. I paid $1000 for my sick dog to stay o/n ,with some antibiotics and no real prognosis. They then wanted to charge me a few thousand dollars for scans. Look elsewhere.

  • S T

Really poor communication between staff and clients. Don't expect this vet to get back to your phone calls or messages until a time that suits them. I would give zero stars but that's not an option.

  • Chantelle Beerens

Could not have asked for better care, attention and exceptional service for my fur baby. Such a thorough, caring team. As a new client, I could not be more impressed. Thank you so much!

  • Ane Traj

Very rude, don’t go. After waiting over 1.5 hours the vet was rude, abusive and yelling at me. Was then made to wait even longer for another vet. Will not be going back. Stay away!

  • S J Flemick

Staff are really supportive, helpful and give sensible advise: our pets have always been happy (if not eager) to go to the vets - despite their health problems: always a good sign

  • Emily Andrews

Great helpful vets, adopted my little pickle from there and they have been so great with helping me to get him to settle in with my other kitten So happy with their service

  • John Momi

We appreciate the personal relationship we recieve when our pet Benji requires medical attention. They are very professional and caring as if Benji is one of theirs.

  • Stephen Gray

The Vet was Ok but not very communicative. Seems to know what he is doing... but his communicationstyle needs work. I think we will try somewhere else next time.

  • AYŞEGÜL ÖZAY

I appreciate to Bexley Vet and special thanks to Christine, being so nice and perfectly take care of our baby boy Bekir for 1.5 months. Love you guys …

  • CeeCee Sun

Excellent service with friendly, knowledgeable and experienced staff. Place is clean and bright. They always do something for my cat Frankie.

  • dogs13cn

The receptionist needs more professional training about how to talk to the customer. Your cold tone has already pushed someone away.

  • Ben He

Boarded my cat for over 20 days. Christine gave me an update almost daily. Great pricing too! Could not recommend enough!

  • Mai Le

Vets are super nice, though they seem a bit overloaded. I love that they let the resident/staying cats roam around.

  • Janine Macfarlane

I have been going to this Vet Hospital in Bexley now for over 21 years with my pugs.

  • Karen Hewitt

The staff are so lovely. I just knew our pet was in safe hands.
