This is by far, the WORST experience I've had with a bike shop in San Antonio. My boyfriend and I purchased tune up's for our bikes from groupon. My boyfriend took his bike in the day before I took in mine. They called and said his was ready. He had just purchased the bike from Target and the owner of the bike shop noticed there was a broken screw in the tire but didn't repair it. That was my boyfriend's experience. I come in with my bike the day he's there to pick his up. As I walk my bike up to the owner I smile and said, "Hey there, how's it going?" The guy snivels a bit and says (about my bike) "well, that bike is alright I guess, I mean it's better than a Huffy." and he starts to laugh. My issue is this...I just walked into your establishment and said hello how's it going and before greeting me, the owner chose to insult my bike instead. I have a decent Schwinn. I paid about $350 for it. At the time, I was 100lbs heavier and needed something that worked with my weight and something I could afford. This guy doesn't know me, or know my situation. I came to this shop for help in tuning up my bike and cleaning it. I also needed new brake pads and I needed a spoke put in. Right after we bring the bikes home, my boyfriend had a seizure and fractured his back. Not even two weeks after that happened he broke his leg so we have not had a chance to ride our bikes yet together. I went to take my bike out this past week and discovered that I had paid these guys an additional $20 to replace my spoke. It was actually just tucked inside another spoke and not replaced at all. I also didn't get a run down of services performed like my boyfriend did. Please don't waste your time by taking your bike here. You won't get what you pay for!!!

Watch out for this place. My bike needed a tuneup because the chain kept messing up. After “fixing” the bike, I found out they had messed up my right handle brake. I kept having them adjust it and testing it out in the parking lot, and it was still messed up. Whenever I asked them to adjust the break, they made me feel as if I was crazy for thinking anything was wrong. After at least 10 tries, it finally felt pretty good (but not as good as it did before, I was just settling for a worse brake) so we went home. We’d wasted so much time there because they couldn’t make the break work right. However, I used the bike today to find out the break was broken again, and it doesn’t fully respond. It’s dangerous to ride, and it was supposed to be fixed after we left. This is unacceptable, and should never have happened. That’s over $80 dollars thrown away, and I’m left with a worse bike than before. The only thing they did good was clean the bike and install an adjustable mechanism for raising and lowering the handlebars. We’re going to try to get at least a partial refund. EDIT: The adjustable handlebar mechanism broke while I was riding the bike, and I almost crashed at a high speed because I couldn’t control the bike or brake. I injured my leg and it was bleeding as I walked my nonfunctional bike to my car. We went in to ask for a refund, but he refused to give one. He said he hadn’t done anything wrong, and it was my fault for not knowing how to ride a bike (I only rode it on flat roads and sidewalks.) Avoid this place, they will only make your bike worse and not offer any refunds.

The absolutely worst place I have ever bought my bike. I asked them to put on an internal hub. I showed them my hub, and asked them "Can you do it?". They said "yes". Boy, were they mistaken. They called me in and told me my bike was ready. I go in, and it's not ready. Four weeks later, I decided to call them. They finally get their act together (so I thought) and told me to pick up my bike the next day. I rode it around the back and it seemed alright. When I got it home and rode it more, the shifter would only shift into three of the eight gears. The pedals would feel like they were slipping after I shifted. I take it back, they tell me it's alright. These clowns managed to throw out my perfectly good rear tire in the process. They threw out my handlebar plastic end piece. They threw out my rear reflector. They screwed up almost as much as you could possibly screw up. They even forgot to tighten my rear brakes. I had to take it to another shop so they could fix my hub so it would shift properly. I was out all $120 to these people. They refused to give any of my money back. They did replace me thrown out rear tire with a miss-sized replacement (35c vs. 32c front). Don't ever take your bike here for service, you won't get any.

Purchased a Groupon for a mid level tune-up, received a call saying it would be ready at 5:00 pm. We arrived at the shop on time and the bike was not ready. They told us the brake pads needed to be replaced and they could do it right there for $20 total since the bike was already taken apart and they wouldn't charge for labor. They finished and we went to check out and the total came out to an additional $40 because they ended up charging us for labor and and something extra that I still don't know what they charged us for. We haven't even tested out the bike yet, but we will not be returning to an unhonest business.

Amazing customer service! Not a fancy bike shop by any means, but has everything i need. I found this bike shop through Groupon and had them perform an extensive tune up. They did an amazing job delivering me a bike that performed flawlessly on the MS150 ride! Since then they performed service on my daughters stand up Razor scooter and gave me expert advice on how to perform the service myself in the future. In addition I was also able to have them troubleshoot and give me advice on how to repair my son's Mongoose bike. I am a repeat customer who isn't looking elsewhere for bike service!

On my second visit to this business the owner was very grumpy. I was trying to buy a head kit to replace the bearings for the front wheel steering and he seemed annoyed. But he then offered to "show me something" so I followed him into the disorganized chaos of bikes in there. I thought he was actually going to offer a solution at that point but he then turned and pushed me and started yelling something about not returning. In short, not well stocked, not helpful, not worth your time and you might get assaulted. Sounds crazy but it's true.

Very nice guy, and he knew his stuff. He explained why he was performing certain repairs and what he recommended. He said he’s been in the business for over 30 years, he was friendly and attentive. edit after getting our bikes back a week late, there were still issues that were not resolved, details that were overlooked. when asked if i could bring in to fix them real quick. i was told i would have to drop it off an wait again sigh

JR did a major tune-up and rear hub rebuild on my 30 year old Schwinn. They were in the process of moving to their new location so things were in disarray, but he was able to get the job done on time and I am very happy with their work. Nice folks. I will recommend to my friends.

Paid for Major tune up... look at pics I added. This is not a wash or polish... plus there is no lube or anything. I understand I do have rust. But they didn’t add anything !! Very rude over the phone. Save time and your money and go to a reputable place.

Appears they are closed, not sure why they're still selling "major tune-up" Groupons. Hopefully Groupon will refund.
