As much as the Resaurant is at a nice quiet location at 7pm on a Saturday night. What happened to us tonight was not acceptable from a restaurant anywhere. It was Saturday the 3rd of September the day before Father's Day. My wife and daughter took me out for Father's Day . We entered the restaurant were welcomed and shown to out seats all three of us. They only gave us 2 menus as that's all they had in the restaurant. We ordered 1 Entree and 3 mains. The entree came out and t was nice. It was an entree share. Then the mains came out. As the mains were being put on our table the waiter slammed the mains on the table. Almost knocking my wine over. My wife and I got steak and Lamb shanks . My daughter got a pizza. After the food was slammed on the table the waiter left quickly. My daughter took one piece of her pizza and under the pizza was a big black blow fly crawling half dead from under the pizza. We tried to get it to fly away but it could not. After seeing this my daughter did not want to eat the pizza I went up to the counter called the waitress over and said please see this. She took it away. After she walked away my daughter said she did not want to eat here. I went to the counter and said please do not replace the pizza. I went back to the table and finished the other 2 meals with my wife. I really felt sick eating that food. Still do. At the end of the meal went to the counter to pay the bill and the girl said we are not going to charge you for the pizza. Still ended up paying $89.00 for the entree , 2 mains and a bottle of wine. When I got home I called the restaurant asked to speak to the Manager on shift explained the situation and her response to me was I don't make enough money to handle complaints. I will get the GM to call you tommorrow. I gave them my number and hung up. My advise is DO NOT GO TO THIS restaurant unless you want to get sick. Really not a good experience at all.
After having recently moved to Eynesbury my daughter and I went to the Homestead restaurant; a meal we had been looking forward to since moving to the area. I do wish I had read the review below regarding the quality of the food. The service was average; however, my meal was inedible. I ordered the crispy beef, although not an expensive meal, I would have expected more than a handful of mixed lettuce, fatty, chewy casserole steak and a dressing that seemed to consist of 90% sugar. It was so sweet I felt like I was eating a bowl of sugar. My daughter who loves sweet food could not eat it either saying it made her feel ill. I noticed that when the staff collected dishes from the nearby tables, they asked how the meal was. When my almost full plate was collected, not surprisingly, no one asked how the meal was. We had intended on having a family gathering there, but after this experience that is most definitely out of the question. Even fast food is better that what's on offer here!
Thank you Annabelle and Staff for the amazing job you did of hosting our wedding. Annabelle was easy to communicate with, and was happy to accommodate what we wanted for our day. Even right up until the very last moments, with the risky weather, Annabelle worked amazingly to make sure everything went smoothly. Everyone loved the food (Duck spring rolls need to be bigger...too good), and the grazing station was a real hit with everyone, even the kiddos. We did have to deal with a few different menu changes while planning but again Annabelle was happy to try to accommodate our previous menu if we weren't happy with any changes. The whole set up was gorgeous and the elegance of the blue stone homestead just really added to the beauty of the day and evening. Once Annabelle left the staff did a great job of managing the rest of the night.
Beautiful old Homestead warm and cozy inside fires burning and great food I went with a Hawaiian Chicken Parma it was tasty and fresh a welcome change from Truck Stop food! Staff were just amazing this guy served me he was very efficient yet friendly at the same time, good customer service skills. I decided to check it all out early on as it's been two years since my last visit here and it still sets the bar I think in this area in terms of restaurant hospitality and service. Fortunate to have scored a nice wedding in the 1800 Hummer Limousines Black H2 it was perfect transport for the bridal party today. The grounds are amazing and the golf carts are fun to cruise around on. Definitely worth a visit!!!
I desperately want to love this place! We moved here just before Christmas and have given it many chances. Every time we've gone there's been an issue though... Between the insanely slow service, mixed up orders (learn your wine list. Reds and whites are in fact very different) and food taking forever and coming out completely different to what was ordered, there's not many positive things I can say. The food when it's correct can be amazing! Coffees are a bit meh, scones are horrible and management can be argumentative when dealing with legit complaints. I doubt we will be going back there any time soon.
My partner and I chose Eynesbury to host our wedding for its beautiful feel of the surrounding nature and it truly did not disappoint. Everything was just so perfect, the food was amazing and the venue space (marquee) just looked incredible all dressed up. The surrounding gardens in October was just beautiful with the blooming flowers and close to the lovely lake made for some amazing wedding photos. Annabelle who was a function coordinator was so lovely and truly helped make our day so perfect. I could not fault the venue and the service.
First time I have eaten there and unfortunately the last. Food was sub standard. Between 3 adult meals hardly anything was eaten total waste of $84. Chicken snitzel Claims to be crumbed in panko crumbs, it definitely wasn’t or if it was not the panko crumbs I buy and use. Compressed chicken breast similar to the cheap chicken snitzel you buy at the supermarket deli. The parmigiana was not much better ruined by the chicken. The pizza was way below standard. Sorry won’t recommend or be back.
We popped out for a change of scenery. Had to wait 20 minutes for the coffee while we sat on the outside seats. Found the coffee on the bench and the muffin was still in the kitchen getting warmed up. I was told it wouldn’t be but when checked it was there. They don’t have any gluten free options :( The coffee shop is the local golfers rest-bite as it shares half its real estate with the pro shop. Oh and the coffee wasn’t very nice either, however the muffin was
Perfect day, scenery and bar. Would have rated the golf course 4 out of 5 had it not been for three inconsiderate golfers who hit golf balls so close behind us that we had 5 potential hospital injuries. One ball actually hit our electric cart and fell into one of the compartments!! It's the club's responsibility to keep everyone safe and ensure everyone respects the rules. Won't be coming back for a while...
Went here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Staff were friendly and the food we ordered came out relatively quickly and was decent for the type of venue. Prices were also very reasonable and the venue is beautifully decorated, situated within well maintained parkland. Only downside is that it is out of the way, but definitely worth the drive if you're passing through the western suburbs of Melbourne.
Very nice restaurant set in a beautiful location. Their menu is quite diverse and has something for everyone including steaks, 5 different types of parmas, pizzas, pastas and a children’s menu. Food was extremely fresh and absolutely delicious. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I can’t wait to go back and try something else from their menu!
Delicious food at great prices. I had the Vegetarian curry and my companion had the fish and chips-delicious fat chips! The curry was beautifully served and absolutely scrumptious. There is an excellent wine list to choose from and the service on Sunday was excellent. Try the tasting plate dessert for two- easily enough for 3 people. Go on I dare you
Had the opportunity to visit the course recently and whilst I didn't get to play, the course set out is something special. I think it is a Graham Marsh design. I did however over hear in the pro shop there was a risk the course may be closing. We must stop gems like this one becoming a thing of the past.
Evidently committed staff. Special mention to the green keeper . On a cold winters Monday morning when the course was full of frost he never allowed anyone to play until the course was suitable. Well done. Most impressed. Now if you could give everyone a lesson on how to repair a pitch mark...... …
Heritage building with friendly service staff. Kitchen serves comfort food, good selection of beers and wines. Daily specials are a delight. There's the massive snooker table that keeps the conversation going long after you meal overs few beers
Eynesbury Homestead is the perfect place for a wedding. Just 40 mins drive from Melbourne CBD. Amazing venue, staff and location. What a gorgeous historic homestead set amongst beautiful grounds. The food and service were great as well☺
As a photographer, I am always on the look out for new spots! I am so glad I had the opportunity to capture a wedding here. It was a perfect place for the wedding - amazing venue, staff and location! Photo by Nikko Blue Photography
Nice cafe food, excellent wedges ☺️. I think golf area here is pretty top notch. Nice walking tracks and relaxing atmosphere here. Playgrounds, court, BBQ N picnic tables. We sometime spend weekend afternoons here. …
Friendly people! Very good lay out of the golf course but its like a dry farm paddick on most holes and doesn't look like its well looked after like others i have been to.I didnt eat but looked nice place to have a bite.
We had our wedding at the Eynesbury homestead and the day was absolutely amazing. The venue, staff, food & service were all great and all our guest comment on how beautiful and perfect everything was.

The absolute best day of golf I have ever played. An amazingly challenging course but so much fun to play. Can't wait to play here again. Thank you so much Eynesbury.
Attended a wedding here on Saturday, the place is gorgeous. Just wanted to say that the bar tenders were amazing. Great customer service and really helpful!
A group of us ordered 3 seperate orders. The lady at the inside cafe counter was so rude The two girls got the orders confused and made the orders wrong.
Great place to relax with a beer outside on a nice arvo. Good beer on tap and a comfortable family friendly atmosphere in the outside area.
Very peaceful sitting in the library enjoying a coffee with a friend, going for breakfast next Sunday hours 9.30 to 11.30 for breakfast.

One of the better experiences we have had at Eynesbury, with the service being better than it sometimes is.
Great food, great service from the friendly staff and beautiful old building. We'll be back for more soon.
Stepford level sterile, with low level snobs hanging around, but the place itself is really quite nice
Course design is excellent. However, almost no grass on fairways and bunkers not well maintained.
Extremely challenging golf course, definitely need a cart. Lots of hazards, need to play straight
Wonderful spot, country feels just outside of Melbourne. Great place for functions or photography
