I have nothing but amazing things to say about every single person at bloor court vet clinic. They are a team that respects and loves all kinds of pets, even the reactive ones that require ALOT more patience. My dog is a reactive fear aggressive dog that usually HATES vets! So when i switched vets to bloor court, I was very eager to try to make my dog see it as a positive place. We stopped by every week and just got treats and pets from the all the staff there, and each and every one of them were so patient and loving with him, even at times when he got a little growly. They took the time to have dummy visits with us, where we walk into a room, and worked on his triggers (such as stethoscopes). Andrea and Christina were especially helpful with this every week. When it came to an actual appointment Dr Rachel along with Alyssa went above and beyond to make sure my dog felt safe and happy. As soon as he was a little uncomfortable with something, they respected his boundaries and reassured him with lots of positivity, pets and treats, rather than judge and be pushy with examination. Since we couldn’t get far with the appointment we had to sedate him to be able to get a through examination, and both Dr. Rachel and Alyssa changed their schedule, to come in for my dogs exam, because he was comfortable with them and they wanted him to be less stressed. Alyssa became my dogs best friends so Alyssa took extra time to just hang out with my dog so he felt safe while i could not be in the room any more, and even hung out with him in his cage after he woke up from his sedation!! Dr Krystyna who was also part of the examination under sedation adventure, was so clear and patient with me when she called me to tell me how the whole thing went. She went through every detail with me about what she found and how, then outlined my options of treatment, told me her recommendations and was so patient with all the questions that I had too. All of this goes to show the commitment this clinic has to your pets physical and more importantly mental health!! Keeping your dog healthy while making them feel safe. This is the best vet experienced both my dog and I have ever had and I highly recommend it to everyone! Especially scared, anxious dogs!
My Shihtzu Scruffy went in for a check up and vaccines. He got a clean bill of health except for teeth extraction required as per Dr. Mark. Scruffy went in for teeth extraction I was thinking maybe 2 or maybe 3 but no (22 teeth were removed-CRAZYYYY!!!) which was performed by Dr. Krystyna. He died less than 24hours after surgery due to blood in his lungs from the surgery and had issues breathing from the time I picked him up to his passing, his tongue was hanging out as if he had a stroke, he had trouble balancing trying to have water or something to eat. He was to out of it from the surgery. I was assured that everything he was going through is normal for the procedure performed. Dr. Krystyna didnt have the courtesy to call me or email me with her input. Scruffy would not have died if they were more competent. Also they are very expensive!! HE DID NOT HAVE TO DIE!! He was my Life line and helped me through my Mental, Physical and Emotional Health. Scruffy deserved the Best! He was so Loving Huggable Playful Happy and Spunky. I Love Scruffy Always! There is none like Scruffy. Bloorcourt Team Thank you for your reply and sympathy its appreciated. I also want to Thank you for trying your best to revive Scruffy but he was already gone and Dr. Krystyna for finally reaching out to me. It's unfortunate that I lost my Scruffy it will be 1 month today that he had surgery. I lost my Scruffy as well as surgery $$. Your offer for postmortem would only make things worse I do not want him disturbed further he died a dreadful death now please let him rest in peace. This is not Cyba bullying the above still remains a fact. Thank you. THE END
I trust this place with my pets. The doctors here are very thorough and patient. My first cat I took to The Cat Clinic at Christie for his neutering. It was a regular surgery where he comes back with a plastic cone. (Very normal) For my second cat I took to bloorcourt because we had moved and it was closer and with really high reviews. He came back with a fabric cone that looked more comfortable, and also received pain meds for his next 5 days. The doctor also called and check up on him the next day, and wrote a big email to us the day before and after the surgery to describe the procedure, how to prepare, what to expect, and how our cat will feel, what his bowel movements will be like. . They also lay out all options for you. My second cat was a stray and the doctors told us which ones are optional for his exams and which ones are not. They told us the cost of everything individually upfront for us to make our decisions, and give us different prices for different options every time. I always know exactly what I’m paying for and I don’t feel scammed. They may be more expensive, but they are all expensive anyway so what’s an extra cost knowing that your pet is going to be safe and comfortable? Don’t cheap out on their health. There are other vets in the area with reviews on other clients who had their pet accidentally killed from a simple surgery due to lack of oxygen.
Bloorcourt has been my vet for years. The staff is caring and professional, and they are as gentle with my anxious, mean cat as they are with my relaxed anything-goes cat. They make room when I have a truly urgent issue, and can get me routine appointments to suit my schedule. They let me know all of the options available for testing and treatment, but are not judgmental about my cost-benefit analysis regarding how much care I can/will provide my pets. Similarly, they provide reminders for follow-ups, but don't get judgmental when those are delayed or overlooked entirely. They were respectful and compassionate when they had to put down a very old cat of mine many years ago. They are not cheap, but the staff are worth it and I'm sure rent is not cheap either at their very convenient (for me) Bloor Street location.
Hi my name is Lucia and my pet name is Bella I went today to the this vet to pick up food and a follow up appointment, the doctor with her talk she call me “lier “when she can give the right training to her staff. When I went there for the first time doctor assistant told me the follow up was free so I was not prepared for the coast of 92d they ask me for the consultation today. Doctor Rachel is not professional , and I recommended her to training her stuff to do a better job for future. I have to leave without food for my babe dog because the people working at that place not communicate properly with the customers. I do not recommend this place .To everyone know me I’m animal lover and I can’t just let this passing when they treat you like you are the problem for not having the crazy money they ask for. Bem aja
Even though they were running slightly behind, the staff made sure to take the time to answer all of my questions and to clearly explain all the the shots and test options (and prices) up front for my dog's annual exam. My dog has figured out what happens when we go to the vets, but she gets such a warm welcome and plenty of treats and pets that she doesn't seem to mind the few needles. There wasn't a single member of the staff that didn't react positively to her during our time there and they made every effort to make her comfortable. They got back to me the following day with all her results.
i took my cat to Bloorcourt because he was long overdue for a checkup. This was his first visit to the clinic. The news was not great and there are gonna be a series of tests for my poor kitty. But the doctors and staff at the clinic are fantastic! So thoughtful and caring and despite having to be outside the clinic doors waiting for him they keep in contact explain things thoroughly and thoughtful and since I've pretty much got a phone call check in everyday! You can not do better for other pets care. I’m thankful to be taking him there.
Today I called to enquire about the cost for having a fit to fly cert for my dog. I was given a range of 130-250. I asked can it be more specific & I was told. " I CAN NOT, I JUST MAKE THE BOOKINGS". I then asked can he go & run it by the vet & was informed "THAT IS ABOVE MY PAY GRADE". The staff member constantly talked over me & kept telling me details about china's requirement for pets. I am Irish flying to Ireland, China doesn't concern me. I won't use the vet but what an ignorant unhelpful individual.
The best Veterinary clinic and team for my two large breed dogs. I've been coming to the excellent Bloorcourt Dr. Kayla and the amazing supporting team Maria, Christina, Giselle, Amber, and Alyssa for many years. They are understanding, patient, accommodating, caring, and professional. There are many clinics much closer to my home, but I drive out of the way to bring them here because they've been the most comfortable, compassionate and helpful for my lovely fur family boys Dante and Alan.
I recently brought my cat Pancake to Bloorcourt Veterinary Clinic for our first vet visit together, and the team was so kind and welcoming. As a new pet owner, there is a lot I am still learning, and both Stephany and Dr. Krystyna were friendly and gracious in teaching me ways to keep Pancake healthy and happy. They gave her a check-up and a vaccination in expert fashion, and Pancake even got some treats! Thanks Bloorcourt Vet Clinic!!
I recently switched to this vet clinic and have already needed to deal with a number of issues for my dog, including a surgery entailing multiple procedures in one go. All the doctors and technicians here are extremely kind, helpful, and informative. They not only genuinely care about your pet’s well-being, but are also thorough when answering questions and making sure any complicated concepts are well-explained.
Highly recommend Bloorcourt Veterinary—vets, vet techs, and administrators are skilled, kind, and compassionate. My cat is very shy and terrified of vet visits, and the care she’s received at Bloorcourt has been thorough and patient. Recommendations for vaccinations, cat food, products, and other medical services are all excellent, with pros and cons well explained.
I called Bloorcourt for my cat Marcie, who I suspected had an eye infection. They were able to squeeze me in the same day, and the vet I spoke with was extremely knowledgeable, practical, and kind, going over options for me and prescribing eye medication. I would highly recommend this clinic for straightforward, up-to-date medical advice and compassionate care!
We have a high energy feline which is not a fan of vet visits. After experiencing a medical crisis last year we found Bloorcourt Veterinary Clinic from a co-worker's referral for our companion's ongoing routine care. Dr. Kayla's team were professional and especially caring with our cat making us believe we found a permanent medical ally. Thank you!!!
This is the best vet I have ever gone to, they have taken such good care of my cat over the past years (who is a senior with some chronic health issues, and is a big ball of anxiety about seeing the doctor). The vets here are very kind and communicative and take the time to build relationships. Love this place, can't recommend them enough.
Very competent and compassionate service. My rescue cats (sweet, shy and very scared of strangers) saw Dr Meaghan who was amazing with them, they did not freak out! They have a fear-free method in this clinic that worked for us. The vet technician was awesome too. Examination was comprehensive and they ensured to answer all our questions.
While the Dr is amazing and the vet techs were so helpful, their front receptionist staff are rude and Incompetent. Often providing wrong information, leading to rescheduling or exhausting exchanges. It was frustrating and difficult trying to communicate with them. Do not recommend at all.
Dr. Kayla, Dr. Krystyna and the rest of the Bloorcourt Vet team have been nothing but kind and helpful throughout my cats dental surgery and recovery. They have always answered my questions with empathy and have done everything they can to get my lil cat back to full health. Thank you!
I've posted a few different reviews here. I've been bringing my pets here for many years? Although prices have gone up since the pandemic, the vets are great. Front desk staff have improved sincey last review. They always check up a few days after appointments to see how everything is.
I take my 5 month Rottweiler pup to this amazing vet! They are kind and take really good care of my pup and I’m more than positive with other pet owner animals as well! Never had a bad experience here highly recommend prices are fair and the staff are amazing!
We have had a great experience with this clinic for the past 5 years. The staff is very attentive, patient and kind. They are on the ball! Our cat sees Dr. Meaghan, she’s fantastic. We always feel well informed and appreciate her patience and care.
I just took my cats here for the first time. My cats haven't been seen by a vet for a long time for two reasons 1). vets intimidate me when they have a pushy approach with services 2). my cats are intimidated by vets. Both those issues were
Small clinic with friendly staff, who are willing to make recommendations, but ultimately gave me the ability to decide what I wanted to do. For example, since I have an indoor cat, they said that the chances of getting Feline Leukemia was
The Bloorcourt team were with us from our pup's first vaccine at 8w until she passed as a very old girl (14y 11m). Always kind, always happy, always supportive, and always remembering the tiny details of pet and owner, the Bloorcourt team
I've taken my dog here for almost a year and every single visit has been incredible. Our pup loves this place and people so much he RUNS inside - no fear or hesitation. We've had all of his shots here, gotten medication and his neutering.
I love Bloorcourt Vet Clinic. I've had cats my entire life and they've always received the most consistent and thoughtful care here. My concerns are addressed, and I feel I'm given plenty of well informed options. One of the best things
Thank you Bloorcourt Veterinary Clinic! Yesterday my cat Phoenix had major dental surgery at Bloorcourt, and many reading 'dental' know all that that entails, from start to finish it is hard on the pet, the 'pet's person' and the staff
If I could give this clinic more than 5/5, I would! We were always welcomed warmly and everyone seems to truly love their work. Love their team approach with the vet and tech present for appointments, which helps things move along
Wonderful staff, Dr Kayla is amazing with our dog. She is up front with the cost of visits and provides plenty of treatment options. She ever tries to push anything unnecessarily expensive on us and she’s very honest and friendly.
The compassion, support, professionalism and promptness with which everyone at the clinic addressed our cat's health concerns has been superb. This is a respectful environment and above all, a place where we felt safe.
The staff were very friendly and although I merely had a couple of questions to ask, I was thoroughly satisfied with the answers I was given. In particular, the vet assistant Giselle was extremely kind and helpful.
best clinic! the staff here are super kind, patient, reassuring and informative. they are a bit on the pricey side, but i know it's worth it with the prodigious care they provide for my cat. 10/10 would recommend.
I had a great experience at this vet, by far the best vet I have ever been to. The veterinarian and other staff were very caring and went above and beyond. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new vet!
We have had nothing but great experiences with this clinic. Our dog is quite a nervous and anxious boy and they still make sure to take their time to make him feel safe and comfortable. That means a lot.
Loved it! So helpfull and I felt so comfortable. We actually at one point all sat on the floor at my dog's level as the vet examined him there to make him feel more comfortable.
Amazing team! Very friendly and compassionate. Prices aren't any higher than your average vet. They moved across the street so they have a much more accessible entrance now.
The vets here really care about the pets they see. Everyone is so friendly! It's the only vet clinic I would bring my fuzzy to.
Bloorcourt takes great care of my pup, Bourbon. Dr. Kayla Guse is awesome and has a genuine love for dogs. Highly recommended.
Very disappointing visit. My 11 year old dog was coming in for his routine annual vaccines and I completed
Best vet I've ever had! They really care and they don't overcharge for random stuff you don't need.
