When you spend almost $5,000 on a couch, and pay extra for the "white glove delivery service", you expect exactly that... However, my experience today has been anything but that. It's about 1 week since I ordered the couch. For today's delivery I: - Got my apartment ready for them to deliver and assemble today without any issues - Arranged the freight elevator to be reserved for them - Sat around for their 3 hour delivery time window - Made emergency accomodations for them since building management had to use the freight elevator for 20 minutes (right when they arrived at the end of the 3 hour window I was given). After making emergency accommodations for them so the delivery people wouldn't be left waiting around, I told them they would need to pull into the alley to unload in the loading dock. I told them to wait 1 minute while I run inside and have them open the loading dock for them - they said ok. 30 seconds after I ran inside to get that taken care of, I turn around to see them driving off down the street - giving me a metaphorical middle finger. I called customer service, who was about as useless as other reviews will tell you. The best they could do was have a different support team call me back 30 minutes later and submit a "go back request" in the meantime. Well, as you'd imagine, after metaphorically telling me to go F myself, the delivery team was less than eager to come back. So they denied 3 different "go back requests" that were sent to them. So, after speaking to 3 separate "resolution specialists" and being escalated to speak to their supervisor (channeling my inner-Karen)... the best they could do was reschedule my delivery for 1 week from today. While speaking to their resolution specialists (I use that term lightly): - Not a single apology was offered - No accommodations were made to resolve the situation - No discounts or services were offered (which I could honestly care less about, but it's something we're accustomed to in situations like these... even Burger King support is competent enough to throw 10% your way when they F up lol... this is a bit bigger than overcooking a whopper lmao) - They made me feel stupid for even being upset in the 1st place If you want to pay $5,000 to feel like a clown, this is the place for you. My only hope is that the couch is worth the frustration and headache this experience has caused me. High blood pressure runs in my family, so Bob mighta just taken 5-7 years off my life today.

Hello, I am writing to you for help with a purchase made (less than a year ago) at one of your Chicago locations (639 W Roosevelt Rd, Chicago, IL 60607). We purchased a living room set (a couch and a recliner). The couch was delivered to us and we noticed it was damaged. We have gone through the proper channels and now I am reaching out for further assistance. As you can see in the pictures attached there is a gap between the seat cushions on one side of the couch but not on the other. The gap is so wide that my child’s leg has fallen in several times and he has gotten hurt. In the picture you can see that the hole is so big you can actually see the floor when looking at the couch. We first called customer service a few months ago to report the problem and use the “goof proof” insurance she purchased. At that time the rep told us it would be no problem to replace since the furniture was still under manufacturers warranty and since we had purchased insurance. They sent out the first technician who took pictures and then reported he saw not problem with the couch. We did not agree with his assessment so we called again. Again we were told that another technician would have to come out. My mother again let the second technician in to her house who took pictures and told her there was nothing wrong with the couch. He tried telling her that this is the way the couches are made. He said it’s typical for both sides to not match. He also offered to “fix” it for her while he was there. Once he tried, and failed to fix the problem, he told her there was nothing else he could do. Why would he offer to “fix” something that, in his opinion, wasn’t broken. After this visit she again called customer service and was told that her only option was to open her door to a THIRD technician! Needless to say we are very upset. My son has been hurt by this couch and my 70 year old mother is stressed that she spent over $1000 on a broken set of couches. She has now let two complete strangers into her home and now is being told she will need to let in a third. At this point we want these couches out of her house and to receive a full refund so she can pick a different set of couches that will not hurt her grandchildren.

This location is inside of a strip mall, has plenty of parking spots. As soon as we walked in, there was employees by the door waiting to help customers. It was very similar to a car dealership, but we didn’t feel any pressure! We were greeted right away by David. David was great for our whole experience. He was friendly, patient, didn’t pressure us and didn’t hound us. He gave us our space and let us try things. He was available and around for questions, but again kept his distance. David asked us a few questions to start off, like what we were looking for and if this was our first time shopping for a bedroom set including mattress. I appreciated this even if it was a sales tactic because it helped him help us to find exactly what we need. He pointed us in the direction we needed to look at, let us try multiple mattresses and worked with us on providing prices. The trying different mattresses was a great experience. I am not sure if this is their general practice or because of COVID, but they give you your own pillow and a fabric sheet to lay and test beds. We appreciated this. During our visit, I did have to use the washroom and I have to say the washroom was so nice for a furniture outlet from the floor to the fixtures. I was surprised by this and their hand sanitizer available has aloe and alcohol. If you don’t like the strong smell of alcohol, I don’t recommend to use it. If you’re looking for your next furniture purchase and you’re thinking about Bob’s, I recommend to come in and asked to work with David!

What a waste of money because a few days later I discovered three very deep scratches on the edge of our table. The delivery had placed the damage near the interior wall so I would not be able to see it unless I walked around and looked down. We called the customer services and the representative told us to take a in store credit. DO NOT ACCEPT! They use the in-store credit to void the limited warranty and refund policy! The rep told us we would receive the in-store credit in email in three days. We did not. So we went to the store and they retracted the in-store credit to send out a services tech to fix the problem. The service tech came today and told us that we would have to REPLACE the table top because they could not fix the damage at our house. We called the customer service and was informed that because we accepted the in-store credit that we were not able to replace it! Why on earth would you send a service tech to our house if we could not get the item fixed due to accepting an in-store credit we never got notification for!? Then they told us that the in-store credit is attached to the phone number and email we used to purchased this dining table set. How on earth was we to know that if we were just informed about that detail today!? This company can not be trusted. The discount is paid in their practice as a business. Clearly honesty and integrity is something they can not afford to pay! BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I purchased a sofa from here a few years ago and a piece of it was missing so they gave me a credit. Here I am today using that credit for an ottoman with pull out single bed. I got the ottoman but no mattress. I had friends visiting that could not use the bed that I purchased for the reason of visitors having a comfortable place to spend the night. Bob's stated my mattress is back ordered 3 weeks from receiving the ottoman. Bob's send me a text the day before my delayed mattress to arrive. The text just says it is delayed with no time frame of the delivery. I am disappointed with there service. I will not purchase anything from them moving forward. I will also make aware to others this is not a reliable company and take there business elsewhere. When I called they were not helpful and simply said early May. I ask what does early May mean. They stated the 1st 10 days. The issue here is I have to reserve my elevator for delivery and they literally leave me with nothing

From the moment we walked in we were greeted by Tony K. with nothing but professional courtesy. He made a very GREAT impression which I believe sold my mother before she even saw the furniture she wanted. My mom can't walk for long but has been on a hunt for new furniture and she had to sit 5 min into the store. She asked for a chair not knowing Mr. Tony would return with a wheelchair and literally chauffeured her around the store from floor to floor and his tone or gesture did not skip a beat. He was very nice to my daughter asking her what she thought of the choice. Just awesome sauce. Nowadays you go into places and you are treated differently because you are judged before they even know if you can afford or physically you just don't look the part but not one time did Tony make us feel like we weren't a part Bob's family and we thank him for such an amazing experience. I would seriously give them 0 stars if I could. My husband and I were so excited to get furniture from here for our new house. I bought a set of couches and a bedroom set in August and was told I’d receive my furniture in October. It is January and I am STILL waiting. My bed set was partially delivered and when the men tried to set it up they said legs for headboard were missing so I had to wait a week for a new headboard. When I received the new headboard the delivery men said that there were no legs needed but when they tried to set up the bed again, some of the wooden panels were broken so now I have to wait over a month for my bed and 3 months for AN UPDATE on the rest of the furniture I bought in august! I would have never even stepped foot in their store had I known I would be waiting over 6 months for a bed. Don’t waste your money or time on them especially if you’re a new home owner. They will make it hell!

Stay AWAY from Goof Proof protection they offer. The following is a ticket that I initiated as the bed I bought from Bob's broke after less than a year of purchasing. Guardian is the company they use to handle issues when furniture is damaged. I had this bed for nearly a year when it suddenly broke in the middle of the night. The support 2x4's broke and I initiated a claim. After two weeks of waiting they refused to repair my bed and said that since it happened while I was sleeping (alone that is) they would not be able to fix it. Richard the salesman was great throughout my purchase however the minute something goes wrong and to no fault of my own Bob's/Guardian turned their back on me. NEVER AGAIN!!! Altho the people there are nice .. The service from bob is real bad i purchased a bunk bed for my kids back in January..Did not receive it till April 9.. which was suppose to be delivered mid March.. Had delivery frame from 7am-12pm.. and delivery drivers didnt get there till 5pm... Besides it being late there were missing parts so they couldnt assemble it.. Tell This Day 4/26 i had not received the missing parts all the bed parts are laying on my kids room Everytime i contact customer service i get the run around.. Always telling me parts are on there way one day the other person tells me a different day.. Ask for a refund but apparently they dont offer refunds.. Wth i havent even used it and its already paid for..

I ordered a mattress, bed frame, and sheets almost 3 months ago. I still have not received the sheets. In a Chat with customer service they said the estimated restock date was august 28th. That has passed! Had another online Chat with the rep just saying we will email you when the item arrives. Now yesterday 3rd time checking I went to the store and spoke to the store manager, he gave zero solutions. Had no idea who the vendor was, told me I couldn’t return it which I know isn’t true. Lastly…. The website says these sheets ship within 3-5 business days… I don’t want anything free! I just want the product I paid for. I’m a general manager in retail. This whole situation is baffling to me.

My experience was absolutely wonderful from the time I walked through the door where I was greeted by Lyn. I have recently had knee surgery, so I was walking with a walker. She was very patient with me and she assisted me all the way through my whole buying process. She helped me to find the perfect mattress that would be good for my health and recovery. She was also helpful with assisting me in purchasing the Panther sofa and loveseat. She assured me that the furniture would be able to fit into my home and how the furniture comes in separate pieces. She explained the financing process to me and answered all my questions. I'm glad I chose to go into this particular store. Thank you Lyn

Raqesha helped us purchase a new mattress today! She was charming, knowledgeable, thorough and to the point. She didn’t push anything on us, she assisted us with information on the mattresses we were interested in. The store manager came up to meet us and he was great too!! She explained the 12 month financing option and walked us through that process and explained the non-prorated guarantee as well. She was also very respectful to our needs in light of the pandemic, each time we needed to enter info on her tablet, she wiped it off and handed us wipes as well. An all around wonderful experience that We will definitely share with family and friends! Thank you!!

At first it was great, then turned into a NIGHTMARE! My wife and I are going on our 3rd monthly payment and the King size bed frame we purchased at Bob’s Discount Furniture has broken. The mattress is too heavy and/or material is really cheap. I’m submitting a claim. I will update this post with hopefully a positive resolution. ** Update ** 6/19/21 - Bob’s replaced broken frame and is scheduled to replace mattress in July. Turns out that the folks that put frame together when delivered installed it wrong causing the bed to collapse and break part of the frame. Shouldn’t have happened in the first place, but satisfied with Bob’s response.

I tried getting touched with the corporate office to resolve a dilemma that I had with the local office. I'm Roosevelt about issue I had and I told me I had to deal with the office. I'm Roosevelt and they don't explain when you lease or buying trying to buy you some furniture. How Their policy works they act like thugs when they call you up there very disrespectful. I feel good praying on people that are able to buy furniture outright. And they're not explaining things to him. They get them into contracts that they can't handle. I wouldn't say handle but do not explain it the all out impact of what they're signing

We love Bob’s Furniture. We got our dining room table from Bob’s and today a outdoor sectional. The customer service at Bob’s is night and day compared to other furniture stores. They treat you very well and help you find what you’re looking for versus you just trying to find it yourself. They offer coffee, cookies and ice cream. Today the sectional we wanted was sold out. It they let us take the floor model for 50% off. Selina at the Roosevelt location was a joy. So patient and attentive. She was advocated for us with her host to get the floor model. We will be coming back to Bob’s for any furniture needs.

Tony greeted me when I came in the store. I was looking for specific items. He took me right to them and provided the information I needed for my buying decision. When I needed time to discuss the purchase with my spouse via video chat, he left me alone to have the conversation and let me know where to find him. We chose an item for purchase and he took care of it, answering all questions that I had about delivery versus pickup, warranty coverage and furniture care. He provided his cell in case I had any questions during the delivery period. I was fully satisfied with his service.

This is our first time in a Bob’s furniture, let alone our first time buying furniture. The minute we walked in we was greeted by another associate who was very helpful, then introduced us to the amazing Jacqueline. Her customer service skills are impeccable and she is very patient. My shopping experience was a pleasure. I came into the store with a worn down grumpy attitude because I’d been shopping around for furniture for a while and was unable to find what I really wanted at prices that were friendly to my pockets. Although I was greeted at the door with a smile by Sales Associate, Selena, I really wasn’t in the mood to smile back. Selena remained cheerful, however. She hung in there with me for well over an hour, as I tend to be indecisive. I received great advice on the items that I chose and left Bob’s Discount Furniture with a smile.

The salesman that help me with my order was extremely polite and helpful in the whole process from the minute I walk-in until I left. He was not pushy at all but close by if I needed assistance. He offer my family and I refresher and candy for the little ones. He talked about the different styles of bed and how your bed should complement your back and your side as well as taking advantage of the mattress protector. These guys have the best customer service ever. Raquiesha was the salesperson who worked with us walking through the entire store from section to section patiently. We spent almost two hours together and took her help with several questions. Our favorite was the Nora couch and Agora Grey Carpet. A good thing that we learnt about was the 0% APR 12 month financing option from Wells Fargo that Bob’s provided. Raquisha was kind enough to suggest it understanding our financing needs. We never felt forced to buy anything and therefore bought a lot.

Customer service, rep was absolutely beautiful, friendly, Polite,and well organized knowledgeable of the product and business wise, they made it fun to be there no pressure. During my initial visit to the South Loop location, Jermaine assisted me. I returned on 1/17 and interacted with Richard (who was great) and ultimately Lyn who completed the sale. Lyn was very professional, helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. She explained everything in great detail and I would highly recommend her services. I purchased a lovely power recliner sectional with a chaise lounge and I can’t wait to receive it!! I also loved that they were able to split the sale with Jermaine since he was off today. From the time we walked in the door Tony K. was amazing he made us feel like family and not just a customer. He was very patient and you can just tell he loves what he does. There is parking in the back. It's an actual garage that you can park in for free. If you do park in the smaller lot, be sure to get your ticket validated at Pets Mart, then parking is 5 dollars. That's what we had to do after we made our purchase at Bob's, we walked to Pet's Mart, walked around, and then got validated. The sales guy was on point... literally answered all my questions. I purchased a coffee table and a patio seat. They were delivered and put together for me. Delivery went very well.

Got my first apartment went down on Roosevelt ordered a 1600$ bed came delivery day everything was broken the whole bed set broken!!!!!THEY DO NOT CHECK THE FURNITURE TILL THEY GET TO YOUR HOUSE!!!!!!when I called the store/corporate all they told me was they were going to put in a special request to have my furniture checked if I still wanted!!!!!!!THEY DO NOT CHECK THE FURNITURE BEFORE LOADING ONTO THE TRUCK!!!!!!!CARLESS!!!!!I should had went with my first option which was the RoomPlace!!!!!

Nice looking furniture just a bit over priced for my liking. Some of the kitchen furniture I looked at was not the best quality. Some pieces where very poor quality for the price. My 7 and 5 yr old grandkids leaned on one of the kitchen tables. The table moved then it rocked back and forth. I thought they had played rough only to discover the kitchen set was of cheap quality. From a far furniture looks stylish but not worth the price. Nice customer service and very clean establishment.

I purchased a sectional sofa from Bob’s. I am very satisfied with the look, comfort and price point of the playground. My family came in to try it out and was greeted and served by Dayren. He was absolutely amazing! He answered all of our questions. Was friendly and patient with the little ones running around. He gave us space to make a decision. although i haven’t received the couch yet, the service at bobs on roosevelt road was amazing. esp Selena. i was all set to buy one couch and last minute, as she was filling out the delivery work, i realized that i didn’t love the texture actually. Selena walked me around the two floors pointing out which ones might have a better texture. super patient. wasn’t in my face to buy, she let me take my time and think. she was amazing.

Always a pleasure doing business with this company. Staff was exceptional I purchased a brand new recliner which was missing a power cord. Well I ordered a power cord from Amazon for 14 dollars and it worked for a week than stop working. Mrs Lynn you told me to order a cord and I did. False information was given to me. If I had known it wasn't just the cord I would have just purchased something else. $125 dollars wasted.

Wonderful and patient staff. I wanted a complete overhaul of my 7 year old livingroom. I wanted a mix of Ivory and beige. After 3 hours I found the perfect set. I gave 4stars because the delivery date changed several times and it took over 4 months for the set to be completely delivery. Overall the staff was very friendly with keeping me updated. I couldn't be happier.

Lyn was so pleasant and friendly, but never pressured me. She let my wife and I walk around on our own, but was always nearby if I had questions. I love the new South Loop store; it’s an awesome location and the layout of the store is great, with a great selection. I’ll certainly be back and look forward to seeing Lyn as our sales agent again! Walked in with financing completed ready to purchase and no one was available to help. Sat and waited for a while. When I informed the young lady at the desk, she states to me, “just look for someone near the escalators.” So I have to search out an employee to spend my money. Nope. A sales associate seen me and never said a word so I’ll just order online.

This the 2nd i made a purchase from bobs and the sales rep entered my information incorrectly to the credit company causing me to not receive my financial statements or be able to check my balance (resulting in late fees, etc) had to call fortiva to resolve and get more info. Other than that Love the couch I bought. So comfy even several months later.

So far we purchased 3 furniture items from Bob’s. They are perfect for my budget. Their Goof Proof warranty for 5 years is impressive. I would definitely get the additional coverage. When you read it you see that it covers EVERYTHING and if they can’t fix it they replace it or give you your money back. The team member Selina was very helpful as well.

He answered all of my questions, the prices were reasonable and the finance part was pretty easy and quick. The manager was cool and everyone was friendly.
