We asked for our roof to be painted, expecting items such as gutters, fascia and eaves to be included on our original quotation. As it was, Bob neglected to include painting these items on our original quote, did not clarify whether we wanted them painted whilst work was being completed, and subsequently provided an expensive price for them to be completed after his painters had left. FYI gutters, eaves and fascia are separate items to the roof in the appropriate standard, so make sure they are included in your quote before deciding to go ahead. I'll be finishing the remaining work myself... EDIT: since originally posting this review earlier today, a number of glowing, 5 star reviews have appeared on this Google listing. It could be that Bob has provided this excellent service to his customers and they've decided to make their first Google reviews to share it with you! No way of knowing for sure, I guess.

Edit - Since posting this review (29/11/2022), I've noticed several extremely favourable reviews of this business have been posted within minutes of each other. This may be a coincidence or perhaps (since my recent dealings with this business) Mr de Groot has improved the quality of his service! ----‐--------- Save yourself the headache and find another painter. We recently engaged Bob de Groot Painting Services Pty Ltd to paint our roof and the first floor of our home. I found Mr de Groot difficult to communicate with and unfortunately this resulted in a costly misunderstanding of what we expected and what was delivered. When we raised the issue with Mr de Groot I found him to be unreasonable and unprofessional. I do not recommend Bob de Groot Painting Services Pty Ltd.

Was keen to have some work done at my place but found Bob very rarely returns calls or responds to messages. On the occassions when I pinned him down, he made three appointments to meet at home and only turned up once. I had to follow up each time he didn't show, rather than him calling me. When he actually turned up he gave me poor direction on how to prep my walls for the project, which ended up wasting my time and money. Suggest people spend their time, effort, and money elsewhere.

After buying my first house and realising that it need some renovations done pretty much straight away, I asked my parents if they knew any painters. They gave me bobs number saying they'd used him for years and haven't looked back. Bob came out and did the quote, and although it wasn't Bob himself doing the painting, his employee did an absolute ripper job, he's obviously taught his crew well. Will be getting him back for sure next time some walls need some lovin
