If you have an italian greyhound, avoid this vet at all costs! Our baby came in with a minor tail wound, which were told required tail tip amputation. Surgery supposedly went well however when we took him back to take the bandages off, I was mortified. It looked like the amputation had been completed with a pair of kitchen scissors. At this point, we were very concerned but stuck with the vet as were trusted the process. Months went by with vet visits every few days for new bandages with no improvement and continual bleeding. Every time we visited, we were seeing a new vet and prescribed a different medication with one of the vets even admitting the previous vet we saw had prescribed our baby the wrong medication for a month, doing nothing for healing. Unsurprisingly, the tail became infected again with the vet suggesting to remove the rest of the tail despite him still having 75% of his tail. I should also mention that the vets at Bondi junction kept referring to our boy as a “she” and would often call him different names during appointments - seemed like we were just another number. After thousands of dollars and losing trust, we decided to go get a second opinion from another vet.. the best decision we could make. Our new vet could see how distressed we were and understood that we wanted to save our baby’s tail. They had a new method of bandaging the tail specific to the breed, prescribed our baby with the right antibiotics and were able to save most of his tail. I am giving this place 2 stars and not 1 only because some of the nurses here were lovely. However, I would not trust the “veterinarians”.

GROSS MISMANAGEMENT - my world, my child, my everything is now not with me. Vegas was an 8.5 year old strong, fit french- bulldog whom had ongoing gut issues and chronic diarrhea over the years. I did my due diligence as a mother and took him to this vet beyond numerous times to see what was wrong and every time i was given tablets for settling his tummy. Not once did anyone do their due diligence and suggest a scan or xray to look a little further due to his history. On the last time i visited this vet finally suggested an xray and a 14cm mass was shockingly detected in his belly. 14CM MASS in a small dog!!! It turned out to be cancer which spread from his kidneys to his lungs and 10 days later he is dead. How can a vet miss a 14cm mass upon a physical examination??? It was MASSIVE and easily detected upon touch. I am beyond angry, beyond confused, beyond shocked that a vet can miss this to the point of no return. My world has been turned upside down and my heart ripped out of my chest. If he was managed properly looking at his history and this vet did their job and investigated his ongoing issue, this cancer could of been caught in time. I'm disgusted and I will ensure to tell every single person i know in the eastern suburbs how negligent you are. SHAME ON YOU.

Not equipped properly and does not hold basic medicine for puppy e.g pain killer. Refused to give microchip form and statutory declaration to transfer my cat even my cat has been treated in this centre since 2009. Wanted me to take my puppy in pain to a vet hospital in Miranda and sedate to take X-rays because this place is not properly equipped. It would cost me approx AUD 2500.00 for exams and hospital. They prescribed nothing to my pup. I went for a second opinion at Greencross Vet in Coogee /Maroubra and they gave me puppy painkiller AUD 60.00 recommended to wait a few days and reaccess and my puppy fully recovered without any additional cost or risks associated with sedation.

Took my rabbit here for eight years and cannot fault Bondi Junction Vet at all. Dr Ray, Liesl and all the incredible staff were always very patient, professional, understanding and compassionate for all our needs, with Nicholas being our first and only pet. Health issues were always explained clearly and professionally and surgeries always performed to a high quality with no complications. They would always go the extra mile to make you feel you were in great hands. Loved coming here for vet services and cannot highly recommend this place to anyone needing world class care for their pets!

Such caring, kind & genuine vets & staff! I have experienced many vet clinics and I have to say you won’t get a more compassionate, professional, caring team. We took our 8 year old goldfish in, who was unfortunately on his way out. Jemma was fantastic from the time I phoned the clinic, then when I got there, she was expecting us. Took me into consul with Dr Josie, who was so professional & caring and went thru everything. Whether it’s a goldfish, cat or dog or any animal, I couldn’t recommend anywhere else highly enough as this wonderful clinic & team. Thank you! Jacqui Wurth

If I could give them 10 stars I would, I generally have a really good experience whenever I visit, and this time Julia and Neal have amazed me with how incredibly professional and helpful they are, I went in to get my puppy vaccinated and checked, Neal must have a magic touch because my puppy didn't even realise she was getting vaccinated. Julia has kindly clipped my Puppy's nails for me! I wasn't even expecting that and I am so incredibly grateful! I've been too scared to cut her nails since I got her, definitely would recommend to anyone with a new puppy!

I have been going to Bondi Junction Veterinary Hospital for approximately ten years .They really care about animals . Their prices are very reasonable. Neil at the front desk (who is also a qualified zoologist ) is very knowledgeable and helpful . Julia is my vet of choice , though they are all good . Julia has a wealth of experience and knowledge , will answer all your questions and I feel really comfortable with her .I have only recently become involved with the google review programme, so this is a belated thankyou . Thankyou

I've been to a number of vets over the years with my pet and I prefer Bondi junction vet by far. It is a small and friendly practice and I find all the vets very thorough and caring. Lara is the main vet my dog sees and I have been extremely impressed with her care. She has done a number of procedures on my dog and he is never frightened of attending as a result of their friendly approach . I have also seen the other vets at times who are also excellent. I highly recommend this vet and travel out of my area to attend here.

Dear Bondi Junction Vet We are sorry you have been crucified in this manner over Lara/ Tara mix up. We understand this type of incident can UNINTENTIONALLY happen in any Vet Hospital & we are sending you all our support. Situations like this contribute to the immense stress associated with being vets. We hope you are all taking care of your health & mental wellbeing right now. 5 stars to you and all the staff for ALL the AMAZING and often unseen work that you do!

Bondi junction vet clinic is staffed with excellent caring vets and nurses. They are dedicated, caring and knowledgeable. I’ve known Julia for over 20 years and have nothing but good to say about her, Neil, Ray and the team. Mistakes are awful but they happen. BJVH has taken responsibility for their mistake and all the hate and horribleness just reflects badly on the trolls writing it and in no way helps Tara. As a vet and a person, you have my full support BJVH

I certainly wont be leaving my cat with this vet clinic. It's such ashamed this kind of error made by a staff in the vet. don't blame on human error, blame on your vet's practice on poor quality training. passing someone's cat to a foreign owner, how can a vet clinic make such a big mistake. it's like telling everyone it's okay it's human error. losing someone's pet is okay unbelievable excuse from the vet herself. till today, the cat is still not found.

  • Cassie Sword

The amount of nastiness this clinic is getting at the moment is absolutely disgusting. Mistakes happen, you must know that you’ve tried your hardest and you’re doing all you can. Patient care is the most important and one mistake does not discredit how hard you all work each day. Keep doing your best, I’m sorry that some people don’t appreciate you but there are some of us out there who do. Thank you for all the good you do. I hope you are all okay xo

This is where my lost 'baby girl' Lucy (my 10 month old Border Collie) was handed in by the awesome Waverley Ranger Pas, 7 days / nights after she went missing. I will always have a magical memory of our reunion here- with untold thanks going to Jemmah. Her enthusiasm for seeing the two of us reunited & her natural affinity with all living souls (people & their beloved pets), enriched the whole experience. Thank you B Jnct. Vet Hospital!!

I’ve taken our cat ‘kitty’ to Bondi Junction Vets for a number of years as well as boarding him and found them by far; to be professional and caring above others. We recently had to say goodbye to kitty which was heartbreaking, to say the least. I couldn’t ask for a better vet than Dr. Ray Chan and his staff. Thank for the hand written condolence card. Bought fresh tears to my eyes. Much appreciated. Ann & Alan

I've been going their for year and can honestly say they are an amazing vet who really do car about your pets and all animals. I know when I had to put one of my dogs down due to age and suffering the love empathy and compassion the vets show helps and are an amazing group of people who should be proud of the people they are. So if your looks for an amazing vet for your pet this is the place to go.

I am beyond happy with the caring and professional treatment my dog was given when she unfortunately broke her leg this Friday. Dr Ray and the rest of the Team were incredibly understanding, going above and beyond to help my dog and reassure me during a very stressful situation. I will not hesitate to recommend this clinic to anyone needing a top quality vet!

  • Lynne Black

The vet clinic discharged Tara the cat to someone unknown to Tara's family. This person let Tara out on the street .Tara is now lost in an unfamiliar area. The vet clinic is not doing enough to find Tara. One social media post and a few A4 posters is not sufficient. The vet clinic needs to put more effort and expense into bringing Tara safely home.

  • Marie Ward

I cannot speak highly enough about Ray and the rest of the team. They are very knowledgeable, and incredibly kind. They go above and beyond to care for pets and also pet owners. They explain options and never overcharge. If you want to put your pet in the hands of someone who loves them as much as you do, then this is place! Also very COVID safe.

  • Thomas Eastman

Dr Ray is a wonderful and caring Vet. He is so professional, knowledgeable and made my dog feel at ease. I really appreciated how well he communicated some difficult topics to me and my family. Bondi Junction Vet Hospital are the most amazing bunch of people. If you live in Sydney I recommend you bring your fur family here!

  • Marco Mastrorocco (Coach Marco)

Fantastic atmosphere. Super welcoming nurse and a very professional and friendly Vet (Dr Alan Marcus). We always had good feedback from friends about this clinic and we are glad we finally went there. Not only we were treated as long time friends but also were given a present for our puppy. Awesome place!

  • Ben Gomersall

This vet is always amazing. Don't let the old building fool you. They are extremely well versed in what they do and they do not overcharge Like most vets in the area. Have had nothing but amazing experiences at this vet. And they always treat every pet like they know them. 10/10 recommend.

  • Sash

Great experience for my doggo. One of the best vet visits we have had. Ray took great care and time to make sure Woody (my furry friend) was OK and gave him plenty of treats. Answered all questions I had no matter how silly as well. Will be back! Thanks guys!

This is a great little clinic located in Bondi! We called to ask some questions about a little french bulldog puppy we were sitting at the time, he was having trouble swallowing his food. They got us in right away to see the little guy,

We had a very unpleasant experience today. After they botched a medical procedure on our Dog's leg. They gave him back with feaces all over his back end that he had obviously been laying in for a while. With no consideration for the dog

This is one of the sweetest teams that becomes your family after 20+ years of looking after your many pets. Everybody's true local, Bondi Junction Vet. (And you may see the original and best, Bondi Vet; Dr Chris Brown if you're lucky).

Fantastic staff. Caring, capable and personable. They also treat wildlife, which is a fantastic support for WIRES and Sydney Wildlife Rescue, Sydney's two volunteer wildlife rehab organisations.,

Julia was just phenomenal with such a friendly disposition. The vet nurses are just fantastic and Im told by other patrons waiting outside (covid safe) that the rest of the vets are amazing too.
