"They have the necessary stuff to cook authentic Puerto Rican food"
The gentleman and owner of this store have been in business for many years. It has been my experience of his kind and straightforward professionalism. I needed ingredients traveling from the Dominion area and he was willing to wait after business hours so we could purchase what we needed. Great products and for those who know the supply chain industries I would say that prices are fairly priced considering the specific products he carries and the niche market he serves. I hope to see shops like this continue and would rather support them than big-box stores. Thank you Sir for your what you do!
Just called to ask if they sell 3 certain traditional Caribbean food items. The woman who answered had trouble understanding what I was asking for. It was obvious English wasn't her 1st language, so I spoke clearly and spelled one word she might not have recognized (it was new to me, too). She was very rude from the moment she said hello, very short-answered, and (because I had already asked for 2 things she doesn't sell) she hung up on me as I was speaking the 3rd and final request like she just didn't have the time of day for me. I had never been here before and NEVER will now.
I love the store and service . A bit expensive side . Needs improvement though like Fresh produce imports from Puerto Rico. If the prices were lesser than more people will come. To Bring in more customers. You must advertise because most people don't know about your store. Low prices and good quality foods , fresh produce and items from Puerto Rico that is not available anywhere else would help your business flourish. Take my advice. Then you can later on expand to a supermarket. Thank you for your politeness and service. .
They have the necessary stuff to cook authentic Puerto Rican food. High prices yes but considering transportation of stuff I don't mind, why I gave it 1 star was the guy started scanning while I was.still grabbing things from the SHELF. I THINK HE OVERCHARGED I ask for a receipt it's not label like any other store. I ASKED him to explain and could not accurately do it. IF IT WASNT THAT I NEEDED THE PRODUCTS FOR NEW YEARS DINNER I AM NOT GOING BACK.
This place has a few Puerto Rican items but the prices are super high. I wish I could go back often and visit Killeen, Texas Bell county because now they have a store full of all kinds of latin good especially Puerto Rican goodies. I honestly i rather waste my head go by to Killeen visit friends and go to the store over there
1.The prices are too high 2. You go to the store and he don’t even knowledge that you are there no even a Hi or good morning we didn’t buy anything because was too expensive we said Have a Good day before we left and he didn’t replay or even wave or smile, so customer service is something very important.
They have all the products for cooking Jamaican meals. But the prices are WAY too expensive. My suggestion is to make the price is more reasonable and they would have more customers And less food they have to throw away because it expired because they can’t sell it because it’s too expensive.
My first visit to Boricua’s. I had been searching for tapas para empanadas for over a week. This market had three types! I bought one of each. The owner was very kind and offered my unruly toddler a treat to let me shop in peace. Definitely worth the 25 min drive here. …
I'm a Jamaican... They're a lot of store that sell Jamaican product but when I find this one store the Barbacoa foods market on Redman in San Antonio Texas I was happy ..it got the real Jamaican stuff... Manager is so nice he'll help you with your grocery to your car
Very upset - took in my friend to buy pasteles because she really wanted some to share with her family for Christmas. They charged her $35/ dz and were 1/2 the size of what my grandma used to make and sell them them for. Most of the time
SUPER EXPENSIVE!! NO NEED TO RIP US OFF, I found a better PR store!! On Culebra Road, La Garita, prices are a little better but the Pastels are awesome!! You can eat there too, the people are Not Rude there and don't scam you
Not only is this store my connection to all of my native foods. The owner is one of the nicest gentlemen I've met since moving to Texas. It doesn't bother me to come across town with service they give. I LOVE this place!!!!
Nice place, but a bit overpriced. A few things I've picked up have also been expired by several months, but apart from that it's a nice place to get your Caribbean fix. The couple who own the location are both very friendly
Five star Kimchi - the best I've tasted in years. Owner told me his mother in law grows the red Korean peppers and its abundantly clear. The complexity, depth of flavours, and texture is unmatched.
If you know, you know. I get that prices are high, but you cannot find a lot of their shelf items in other stores. The owner was super nice and fair. Will be coming here a lot more.
They have a good variety of goods I use so to make my Puerto Rican rice. Most of all their pasteles are Ssoooo good Ssooooo Delicious. I will be goin back for Sure
3 stars they have all a lot of puerto rican products but the prices are very expensive they are literally charging 3 to 4 times of what the products is worth.
Love Puerto Rican products just to expensive the prices are ridiculous it's like triple the amount if the sold products cheaper they would get more customer
Rude and unprofessional wife. Pleasent and professional husband, sister, and nephew. Caribbean items are always in stock. Items are extremely overpriced.
Best place for Puerto Rican foods and offers a great selection of products as well as ready made foods. They bring a bit of the island here.
This store has everything that my Puerto Rican heritage likes to eat. Cooked food also sold. And it belongs to my dear father. …
I like trying new things, which makes this place very resourceful. Only issue is, not everything is very clear/understandable.
Was happy with the pasteles at first..but now they just too small for the price being paid..starting to look elsewhere.
Well stock with Latino products, but the price is to high,in conparation with similar store's in San Antonio.
I love to find all the food from my wonder island of Puerto Rico good store alittle over priced but worth it
Was at the 225 Urban Brick BBQ. Very good BBQ restaurant. Plan to go back again. Good food and service.
Would shop there but he overcharges if you're not paying attention and prices are ridiculously high.
Stuff is overpriced lol. OVERPRICED. Go to different store to get more options and cheaper items.
Great selection of Puerto Rican produce, souvenirs, etc. However, prices are outrageously high..
Mi favorito since I got here in San Antonio in 2018. Pro customers all the time. I recommend it.
Sofritoooooo! Ugh yes bomb! The coquito was bomb too! Definitely happy I found this place!
Very nice an helpful employee an has everything my husband needs from his home country.
Great place to get Jamaican food products as well as products from Spanish countries.
Rude lady at the register. Not worth coming here for their crappy selection of items
Not very good selection. The fresh sofrito was 2 weeks old. Rather disapointing.
Expensive bad service the last at counter can't speak English not Spanish
You have to be very desperate to buy here everything it's so expensive.
Way over priced, and a lot of items you can now get at Walmart or HEB.
It's delicious and I'm Puerto Rican and I'm tired of Mexican food
Best place to get alot of the stuff you see back on the island
I always find everything I need to make different Latin dishes
Found everything I needed! And was priced appropriately.
variedad y servicio. Great Service and Product variety.
Too expensive. Not enough items to choose from for me.
Didn't have anything I was looking for.
Such a fun place- they have everything
Where the latinos can find there sabor
Los precios por lo cielos .muy caros
Best fresh sofrito ...hands down!!!
