I have visited this vet about 10 times now over the last year and a half. Needless to say we won't be coming back. I can understand where the good reviews come from, the vets are knowledgeable and good with my dog. However the office staff have proven themselves incompetent time and time again. Am I the only one experiencing this?? Everytime, without fail, they'll have lost someone's script or can't find someone's name in the system. While I'm in the waiting room I've seen them casually hand out scripts which 'should be right'. They told me my dog who had passed away was overdue for his heartworm injection, even though we'd called and informed them of his passing. The worst of it happened when I moved vets, my new vet informed me there was no record of my dog being vaccinated. After calling back and forth and being told by Brookfield Vet that I'd just forgotten to get it done, it turned out one of the office staff had created a whole new account when I took my dog in for vaccination. There were 3 spelling mistakes on that account name. How does this happen? And how many times will it happen before it ends up hurting someone's pet? Unacceptable.

Dear God, I think we ruined Charlie’s one morning off by calling with a question on Christmas Eve. It wasn’t even a pet emergency, it was to see if the practice was open to buy some pet treats. Whilst not being open, Charlie, who we’d obviously woken up with our early morning call, took the time to explain to us what makes good pet treats for a puppy, how to pick healthy treats and advise us on the damage bad treats can do to your pets teeth. He spent nearly 10 minutes on the phone with us, making sure we could make the right decisions. At no point did he complain that the business was closed that weekend morning, or that he had been sleeping (except for his uncontrollable yawns, which he was entitled to), he treated us with kindness and respect, the same way he has with every other visit we have made with our pets to his clinic over the years. And this time, he didn’t even know it was us who’d called and woken him. Yet another example of why this is the best vets surgery in the area.

I honestly don't know where I would be without Dr Charlie and the whole team. Probably rocking in a corner somewhere! I can't speak highly enough and would recommend this practice to anyone and everyone. My Great Dane cross Bailee has had 4 leg surgeries and I have never seen such incredible surgeon work than what the team had provided especially the after care of not only my dog but towards myself also. They are always putting up with my relentless questions and always take it with a smile. My new pup Dustin has now had problems and the team has again over exceeded the highest level of care. We can't thank you enough for the continuous years you have had to put up with me but also looking after my babies. I'm certain they never want to return home with me because they get so much love and cuddles there as they do with me haha. I love this place!

Can’t fault their responsiveness and service. All doctors - especially Charlie , Kirsty and Catherine are very caring and professional. Best vets in whole of Kenmore brookfield and western Brisbane by a million mile and a bit more .. I can’t remember when was the last time I received a call from Vet surgery at 6:30 am after contacting them via SMS. Dr Charlie called me within 15 minutes of receiving the message !! Hats off to their care and compression. My little boy - Buddy had surgery the same day and he is safe and back home. Also M surprised how nurse Becky and almost everyone at reception knows every dog/ pet by name and provide a super personalised care every time. I feel my pets are in safe hands and are getting best care when they are at Brookfield vets ...:-)

I have been taking my dog Ruby to the Brookfield Veterinary Surgery for several years now. The vets and staff are all very caring and make the experience for both the owners and animals as pleasant and painless as possible! Ruby has received care for various reasons from treatment for a paralysis tick, teeth cleaning and abstraction, a dog bite as well as general check ups and routine vaccinations. Ruby always feels at ease and comfortable as their professionalism is only topped by the genuine love and affection the staff have for the animals in their care. I have since moved across to the other side of town to Bullimba - but still take the 35minute trip across town to take Ruby to the Brookfield Veterinary Surgery!

Best vet around. I discovered this place one Sunday when my dog, Taz, was suddenly very sick and no-one else was open. Since that day, I only ever took my dog here, even though there are 3 other places closer to us. Charlie is great, but it's Cath that won Taz's heart! He had never relaxed around a vet, but with Cath, it's like he is actually excited to be at the vet. She has treated my dog like he's her dog. I have never doubted that he's in the best hands and that they have his best interest at heart. After 16 wonderful years, I recently had to put Taz down and they were outstanding in their handling of a very difficult choice and process. Take your pet/best friend here - s/he will be in excellent hands.

We have been bringing our two dogs, Baihdum and Wijit, to Brookfield Veterinary Surgery for over two years now and have never had a bad experience. The vets here are caring, thorough, and great at their jobs. They go above and beyond our expectations every time, offer great service, and treat the girls like family. They have squeezed us in on various occasions, despite being very busy, and took it one step further by getting to us quickly - which we were very appreciative of! They always follow up with phone calls to check on the girls and are patient with us when we have a million questions. We are very happy with and trusting of these vets and would highly recommend them to anybody!

Have been going to Brookfield Vet since 2004 with my horse and now with my dog as well. Can't recommend the team enough, they are absolutely fantastic with animals and feel more like an extended family. Clear communication on procedures and regular updates when my girl has to stay to be looked after. The puppy school is excellent too and is a lovely way of connecting the place as somewhere familiar for your pup to enjoy visiting. Thanks team for looking after Kaz and Sketch all these years!

amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and accomodating vets. Have used these vets a number of times now after terrible experiences elsewhere and being ripped off. They have offered the best care for my seriously ill fur babies on a few occasions. Cannot thank Charlie and his crew enough for their compassion and help with my babies. Highly recommend. Incredible caring vets and staff, treatment is second too none. We travel from Ipswich and will.not go anywhere else now.

Following on from a very unfortunate 3am visit to the jindalee emergency vet (who were also amazing!),our 8 week old puppy Archie had to spend a few days with the guys at Brookfield to recover from a virus. They took amazing care of him and kept us fully informed as to how he was doing. We’ve used you guys for years with previous dogs we have had and will continue to do so with Archie.. cannot fault you guys at all! Thankyou so much!

Our dog Henry has been coming here for five years. Straight from their Puppy School. He is usually stubborn and won't do anything he doesn't want. He leaps out of the car, runs straight in to Brookfield Vets and jumps on the scales. The entire staff are his friends and they are amazing with him. He even doesn't mind his baths there. Great service and expertise from the Vets and staff at Brookfield Veterinary Surgery. They have looked after my mate Fergus for over 12 years as well as our cats and done a fantastic job . Just so happy with the care my 20 year old cats have received from Dr Charlie. They’ve had at least 3 unexpected extra years of life as a result. I was devastated when he was away and beautiful Tia had a crisis but Dr John diagnosed her problem and she is back to her normal self. Lovely to have another excellent vet to consult

The Team at Brookfield Vet are a family-owned practice and have been looking after my pets since I moved to Brisbane in 2006. They are caring and compassionate and do a great job of looking after my four-legged friends. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else to be cared for. Highly Recommended!

I took my darling Bailey to Brookfield Veterinary Surgery. I found Dr Charlie and the team of Vets to be straight forward and caring re the treatment for Bailey. The Nurses and reception staff are great too. A friend referred me to this practice. I can highly recommend this Veterinary surgery.

Not sure about letting others in on this little secret, but this is by far the best vet clinic I have ever been to. So deserved of 5 star reviews. Charlie and Cath are down to earth, amazing animal advocates and have created a wonderful service for all creatures great and small.

Great local vet practice with lovely staff. My doggo, Reggie is a new patient and had his annual boosters and heart worm shot recently. They gave us a sweet welcome bag of goodies which was a nice and unexpected touch. Set in a lovely rural location with lots of parking.

Highly recommended this clinic. All staff are very professional and friendly. I accidentally ran over my cat and the vets looked after her so well and were very thorough with her treatment whilst managing my destrought self. Thank you for all that you guys do.

Always friendly and open when other vets aren't. Your fur kids always get sick on Sundays or public holidays and Brookfield is usually open when we need someone. Our big baby is currently there on an overnight stay and I know she is being looked after.

We tried couple of vets but didn't feel comfortable. They were always after money. Our neighbour recommended us Brookfield vet two years ago. We found them professional, friendly and honest. Our dog doesn't panic when she's there.

Max was great! My cat does not travel well and caused a bit of a situation, but Max handled it well and finished up with the diagnosis and treatment. I can’t express how happy I have been with Max and the rest of the staff!

The team have been very helpful with the various medical problems that we have had with our dogs. We recently needed to have emergency treatment for our dog and they opened the practice outside of regular hours to assist.

Just a damn good Vet .. actually I wish my GP and Car mechanic had the same level of caring professional service. A genuine member of the community - all the staff are the same cut. And generous with their time - thanks!
