Nice and quiet with helpful staff. It's the kind of place you can go to and probably fall asleep because it's so peaceful and quiet. Plus there are always events and activities for the kids. Laptops with 2hr grace periods, and adult education available upstairs on the 2nd floor. There are computer classes every Wednesday for newbies and experts, and free summer lunches in the summer time for children 18yrs and younger.
Location itself is very convenient but ugh whoever is in charge of hours and staffing needs to do better. I don't know if it's a straight up staff shortage or if building has legitimate issues but I've shown up multiple times to find it closed when it should be open and often with no notice at all! I also live within a few minutes walk and walk by it often with no real notices.
They have daily activities throughout the day, Every day. They really have something for all different age ranges. You can filter and choose. It's beautiful for children and adults of all ages okay... See the schedule, and if you go online be sure to put your specific library in the filter EVERY single time you search. It resets immediately.
Overall, it’s quite good. Nice and helpful staff, however, readers need to be more considerate. One parent played an audiobook for their kid and it was quite loud, I had to stop reading for a while, so I changed my seat, very easy fix lol. After 3.30pm, the noise level increased significantly but it was still bearable I guess.
Feels more like a community center than a library. Limited space. Workers are pleasant, and children are abound. Many of the adults carry on their conversations loudly. It's a nice place to read a novel or magazine. I don't recommend if you need to study and concentrate.
This branch has a very helpful librarian especially trained for access in information. The program manager is very open to suggestions. The library system is vastly changing. This branch should not be confused with the (central branch).
I mostly pick up holds from this location, but I browse from time to time. Not a lot of selection for adult fiction readers, though they keep the new titles rotating. Open late Tues and Thurs, self checkout works perfect.
Very nice staff that is helpful and patient. Around 2:30 till 5:30 please expect noise since children do come to the library. Overall just get some headphones or maybe even go upstairs and relax while reading a book.
If you’re looking for a quiet place to study, this place is NOT it! Super loud Librarians. The kiddie section is right in the same area with the adult area. If you like noise then come on in.
The staff is very nice and helpful to everyone I've been going since a teenager. Only problem is that it can be a little too noisy at times. I would like to go and study without any noise.
I walked up Utica Avenue in search of a bank, found it plus lots of stores and a public library on Eastern Parkway. A great space and lots of children reading books. I shall return!
The best place for children to read/borrow a book :) and There is a computer section, which allows them to do work with their homework,Plus They can print their documents.
Very small and quiet library. Found some nice reads and there’s a pretty big selection of graphic novels. Recommend going there for some quiet time and good books :)
I love going to this place to do my hw. They are very nice and respectful no matter what age , race or gender. Plus it's right by school so it's a perfect fit.
Staff are not inviting or kind and are too busy scrolling YouTube to assist. The staff categorizing the books was helpful and nice.
This is the third time in 10 days I called ahead, walked 20 mins & show up to see they're closed. I get it.
Love going to this place. They always some kinds of free events going on. Staff extra friendly.
Please consider to having a free books giveaway for High School students during the summer.
Take time. Sometimes too long. But other than this, Love the library.
Very supportive / attentive staff when I was there.
