"Joshua the Librarian that did the hotspot and laptop orientation was very professional he was very specific on how to use both products I've being a part of the program since it started but no one has explained the uses of the program like Joshua did"
"Coffee shop, vinyl records, ebooks, and real books"
"5stars for GED classes here"
I came to the facility to print from the computer. I wasn't aware a library card was needed. The young woman at the front desk was very helpful and patient while I completed the online application. The facility itself was clean and organized. The computers, printers and fax/copy machines are easy to use. In order to use the printers and fax machines you have to place money on your library card. This was also easy to do as well because there is a machine that assists with that. I'm glad I found this library
I only use this library to pick up online book requests or for printing & copying. I mostly use it for the latter. I have nothing against the staff but the equipment there is terrible. I guarantee anytime you go in there, something is always out of order, broken etc. It is pure torture if you want to print a page or two. Needless to say, I ordered an all-in-one printer today. No more waiting with the unwashed masses (no disrespect).
Joshua the Librarian that did the hotspot and laptop orientation was very professional he was very specific on how to use both products I've being a part of the program since it started but no one has explained the uses of the program like Joshua did.Thank you Joshua you did a very impressive job. Thanks to all the wonderful Staff at the Flatbush Brooklyn Public Library you are the most courteous and best I have met
Coffee shop, vinyl records, ebooks, and real books. Need to print something out? Need a book for the visually impaired? Do you like graphic novels or need to hold a small meeting in a clean meeting space? Want great recipes from another country or culture? Stop sleeping on the library! Take a chance! This place is great! There are many programs and learning opportunities at the library.
5stars for GED classes here. 0stars for only trying to enforce certain rules in this Library. They want u to stay in the adult area. But don't say anything to those that are eating in the library. Doesn't matter if ur quiet they want u to stay in the adult area and smell people breakfast and lunch foods. While in the child area don't have smelly food. Even though they eat there too.
Your guys tax services is impeccably horrible. I think a toddler would be more knowledgeable than the jokers that operate this service. Literally no one knows the correct documentation to bring. All to say incompetence at this level is egregiously disheartening and more concerning. Do you guys operate vehicles because I'd be scared to be next to you guys in traffic.
This local library branch is small, but has all the basic services. I came here to print something and it was a very easy process. Black/white prints cost $0.10/page and color prints are $0.25/page. There are work tables and computer stations for anyone to use. The facilities were clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Weird! I was on the computer and a man came out of nowhere and interrupted me. I still didn't know what he was trying to do but luckily I got the heck out of there. Funny thing when I entered the library, the security was sitting right in front. But upon leaving, I didn't see any security guard insite
Noisy, dirty, disruptive adults, too many teens. A lot of children but children are children so no complaints on them. But the noisy adults should be ashamed of themselves. They talk on their cell phone, sing aloud with their headphones, and fight. There isn't a fax machine for the public either.
Today is my first time at this branch and I have never seen a librarian stare at people without a greeting, a question, or any offer to be helpful so much at any library, let alone BPL, in my life. "Distant" is not an adjective anyone sitting at a library front desk should be, but here we are...
Alesha, a young (and new) librarian made my experience a good one. She was very helpful, patient, and always ready to serve with a beautiful smile. When the other staff members were less than helpful, Alesha stepped in and made everything better. I am glad she was there. I love this library.
Unfortunately, this is the closest library to my home and that is the one I wouldn't want to step my foot in to work unless my home internet is down. Space is limited and you most likely will be surrounded by homeless people. Stuff is vey nice though but amenities could be better.
Love this library! I found all the staff to be incredibly helpful, they have a great understanding of the local community. The library hosts a wide range of free programs including immigration assistance, tax advice, chess class, anime/manga drawing classes, and tutoring!
Super friendly and helpful staff, a couple rooms with tables for working in this small building, but the shelves are practically bare! So sad that not all branches are given the same resources and attention...I had to order all my books from the Central Library.
Whenever the local coffee shops are a bit too trafficked I end up here. Best before school lets out but still a reasonable place to get a bit of work done. Also love that you can request books online -for pickup.
A wonderful local library with helpful staff. They have monthly book club, have exhibitions by local artist and youth, and is overall a safe place to come and read a book or do research.
Worst library ever, there was guy on ignoring customers, doing homework and watching his show on the internet the whole entire time I was there! The workers in there should be fired!!!
It's okay for the neighborhood. They do offer a nice selection of toiletries. To be fair, my visit today was 3 days after Christmas. I'm sure it will be better once they restock.
Normally you would expect a library to be a quiet place but the people that work here are so ratchet and WILL scream at you. Do yourself a favor and go to the midwood library
They’re a brilliant team of staff. I been going there for years. If they don’t have the answer they will refer you to someone who can help I really enjoy going there.
A beautiful ❤️ placed l went to take out a History test book, that l really like and this this placed , l when , though, for the Future of a getting ready.... …
I love this library! The kids section is wonderful. The librarian allows lets us interact with her very sweet guide dog. The staff are incredibly helpful and kind.
Take my daughter here after school. She does the activities they have for kids like gaming, art, gardening etc
This place is really helpful but also very nice cause they can add you more time so u can finish
Friendly staff. There is a nice large room that is used for activities such as dance classes.
Could be improved. There are more and more caucasian staffs all of a sudden, which is weird.
Great place to go to when you need access to a computer or to print Staff was very helpful.
I was able to utilize this library resources to land a job in short period of time.
Love this place to take my kids. Fantastic selection of all kinds of books.
Horrible! Did not print my documents and still took my money! Scammers!
I love it there. The staff is very helpful, cool atmosphere.
A treasure house for generations to the young and old.
