Second time here. Just a great shop to work with. My suburban started making a humming / groaning noise, that was consistent with speed. I figured it was a bearing, but I could not isolate it. I gave them a call to set up an appointment, and Rick told me if I brought it in the next morning, they should have me done by end of day assuming it was not anything worse. This was great, as I only have the one vehicle right now. I brought it in, and rode my bike home. I got a call not long after I got home, with a diagnosis of the front left hub bearing, and the cost estimate. I told them to go ahead. Just before lunch, I got a call confirming it was done. I was able to ride back during my lunch break and pick it up. The ride home was nice and smooth and quiet. Excellent work, and they just did what needed to be done. My previous visit to them was for brake line replacement on my 2003 suburban (same vehicle), and they did an awesome job on that as well. I would recommend this shop to anyone, and may the keep doing the great work they do. Thanks guys!

I had a19.99 coupon for an oil change. They told me to be there as close to opening time as possible. They opened at 7:30 and I didn't get there until almost 9am. From the time I walked in to tell them why I was there to me pulling out of the lot took them less them a half hour!! Plus they have the sweetest cat that comes to keep you company while you wait. I'm totally a dog person but I have to admit that is one of the sweetest smallest cats I've ever met!! I have anxiety when I'm out of my house and I actually left there so relaxed and happy that I actually got way more done then I'd even planned on doing!! I'd definitely recommend them to anyone and even if I moved back to the northern part of Indianapolis I'd drive to The Southside to let them work on my car!! They were all super nice guys but they certainly didn't waste anytime getting my car done and me back on the road!!!

Went here a few days ago, Just for a diagnostic since my engine light wasn’t on and i was confused about what could be going wrong. Don’t get me wrong , The staff is very friendly! They are always nice. But they told me i needed all my mounts, including transmission ,rack and pinion, a rear oil seal leak, and control arms. Not sure if it was an honest mistake, but i took it to another shop and they let me know that all the mounts except one were in perfect condition. And the leak doesn’t need repaired since it’s barely leaking, they said they only found a drop. I’ll still continue going here sometimes as prices are fair, and maybe my review will change. But they do offer great work, just not sure if the work they say that needs done is always accurate.

First time at Brooks and I was blown away not only by the customer service, but the prices and time were incredible. Rick is so kind and funny. When I called Monday asking to drop my car off, after describing the issue he knew right away what I drove. I was impressed. Dropped my car off Friday at 530 and it was done and FIXED by 11am Saturday! My car has never driven so smoothly. I would absolutely recommend using Brooks for any of your auto care needs. You'll feel special, not just another customer or sale. Plus they have an auto shop cat and she's adorable and sweet. Even my husband who hates cats loved her. Support a wonderful local business if you need to and can. Brooks auto and Rick are great!

I have been going to Rick for 35+ years when he worked for his Dad at the Shell Station. Recently I brought my 2012 Buick Lacrosse to Brooks to repair/find a intermittent starting problem. I had taken my vehicle to the Buick Dealer and they could not find the problem and still charged me the fee. My car would not start for my wife last weekend at Target so I knew I had to get it corrected. I told Rick what the issue was and he said he had a excellent mechanic to repair GM vehicles. Rick and his team found the issue, fixed the problem at a reasonable price. Next time I will take my car to Brooks because I know Rick will take care of my problem. A Super Satisfied Customer!! John

Went here for a diagnostic, and they told me many things were wrong. I then went to another place, and they told me this place was lying and that there was no issue at all with most of the things they said. Never will go again. Scammers! Also one of their own family members says they overprice and also lie about work being done! EDIT: this place is ridiculous. they lie so much. i have came here and i have the receipts. and when i came here they were also very rude , and then again, LIED about what was wrong. And i believe they may of damaged something on my car when looking at it.

I recommend avoiding this place. I had brakes done there, front and back, disc and drum, and both the front and back were not done correctly. Had problems immediately. The drums in the back locked up literally pulling out of their parking lot. I was able to free them myself, but then the pads in front failed after only 2,000 miles. Rotors were obviously not turned properly. Called Brooks and their reply was "Brakes don't last very long. Warranty? On brakes? No...." There are 2 other reputable repair shops within a 3 minute drive of Brooks. Go to one of them.

Brooks is the best in automotive repair and customer service. I took my Suv in to have a power steering hose installed.They replaced it,and fixed a tire. It cost me significantly less than I thought. It doesn't stop there. My Ford Ranger was having idling issues. Rick, took care of me again. They put it on the diagnostic machine and found several issues. Lot's of sensors. They are very honest ,and they don't drain your wallet. I can't say enough good things about them. 5 star service !!!

Rick and the staff are so personable and professional. & im happy that even with my ignorance, they didnt make me feel stupid for the issue with my jeep. My battery was dying on me 2 days in a row, even after replacing it (which i was told to do at O'Reilly). Only to find out i accidently had my fog lights switched on and didnt know because of the covers over them. I appreciate these guys so much & their cute fur baby that roams around the shop. Highly recommend.

Honest work, honest diagnoses, honest and fair prices. So hard to find a shop you can trust, Brooks has never steered me wrong or made me feel taken advantage of when something’s broken down. The only time I take our vehicles somewhere else is when it’s for a service he doesn’t offer. And his lobby has a very nice cat thats friendly. Hands down I will never take my car anywhere else. I got an estimate from Pep Boys for service, and they told me $2,500. I jistoved here from Ohio, so I asked a co-worker and they referred me to Brooks, and I am extremely happy that I only had to pay $850. Rick helped me, and he is the best. He was extremely polite, professional, and breaks things down to give you options. I highly recommend this shop.

I've been a customer of Brooks auto for many years. I have been so happy with their service. I always talk with Rick and he is "da Man". I recently had him do an inspection of two vehicles for me. I just purchased one of them. They were so fast and so reasonable I can't imagine what anyone could ever say to make me want to take my car somewhere else. Brooks has been my go to for car maintainace and repair for over 30 years. Bill (the owner) is right up front with customers about what is wrong, what it will cost (if anything his estimates are higher than the actual cost), and the work is the best. Bill will tell you straight up if the car is not worth fixing, rather than pushing costly repairs or trying to nickle or dime you. Very highest rating!

After going to and calling around multiple car shops that either over charged me, kept my car for days, or told me they could not look at my car because they were too busy... This place was heaven sent! They were able to look at my car, tell me what the problem was(with a reasonable price) and get it fixed that same day! I was very pleased with this car shop Best in Indianapolis!!

Dropped off vehicle at 8:30am to check out a bunch of issues. They called at 11am told me what they found, gave me a total price (which was a lot cheaper than I had anticipated) I told them to take care of it. They called at 1pm said they were finished. They did a great job, and they did it swiftly. I've been there before, and I'll continue to go there for my auto repair needs.

Had my car repaired and they somehow bent the door so badly that now it won't even open. I spoke to Rick and he claimed it was like that when he got it. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. I know my family and friends have used this garage that is why I chose to have the work done there. After this none of us will be doing any more auto repairs at this shop.

This place was a godsend! I stopped on my way from Chicago to Charleston due to unforeseen car maintenance. Rick was so kind and helpful and brought my car right in. Years of work done on my family’s vehicles, ranging from simply tedious jobs like replacing an 11’ malibu’s headlights to bigger stuff like Brakes, AC work, Suspension, and the rest. They don’t mess with transmission due to the complexity, but any other mechanical issue (non body/cosmetic) they are hands down the best in the area.

With us being a small masonry business it is critical to us to be able to have our vehicles fixed properly and in a timely manner Brooks has always taken great care of us definitely recommend them the only place you get the small-town family feeling I appreciate everything you do for us you have a customer for life with me

So far so good. I called a few places to get my breaks fix and everyone was charging me over $700. That's a rent payment. I had a front main leak and called and was told they would try and get it fixed today but most certainly could tomorrow, I still dropped it off today and my car was ready literally 2 hours later the tears of joy was real especially when your a single mom with only one car. I am so thankful. …

No problems. They got a new wheel bearing installed same day. Had the vehicle back sooner than expected. I'll be having them do more work for me. I've never heard anything negative about them from people I've known who've taken vehicles there.

We have taken our vehicle to this place three times now the second time was for a tune-up on a Mazda that was $500 one week later the car would not go over 50 miles an hour come to find out they only changed two coil packs when they did the

Every time I take my car there they find the problem and repair it, usually within a day or two. Their quailty of work is excellent. Prices are right on par with a good shop. If you want a shop you can trust these are the guys.

I have had a fuel pump replaced, break service, and wheel bearings replaced along with quite a few oil changes. Each time the staff was pleasant and knowledgeable. The pricing has been reasonable and the repairs have lasted.

This place was my go to when the Kia auto department wasn't up to par. They rotated my tires and changed my oil in a very timely manner and the price was fair. I will definitely be coming back as a regular from here on out.

Took my car in for overheating... they couldn’t fix my car and charged me $185 for “parts and labor”. Not to mention when I picked my car up I was told I would be charged $77, then found out otherwise on my bank statement.

bearing disintegrated due to bad installation within a year of purchasing. They only provide 4 months of warranty as well. So sounds like somethings wrong with this business.
