This may be a little long! A little over two years ago, I needed to get an anniversary band adjusted and I had read that Bryn Mawr Jewelers did such work. It was an aquamarine ring and, not only did they make the adjustment, the work they did on the ring came out beautiful. I was really happy with the look. A few months ago, I started to develop a pretty nasty rash under my wedding ring. The rash got so bad; I had to stop wearing my ring. This was not easy for me. Everyone knows that a wedding ring has a lot of sentimental value and this ring especially, means the world to me. It’s not an expensive ring with a huge rock, in fact, it’s a quite modest ring but it means the world to me. I married my husband in Haiti right after the 2010 earthquake hit Haiti. When we married, the entire country was in ruins. I never even expected him to have a ring for me, but he did (I didn’t lol). Then, two days later, while stuck in traffic in Port-au-Prince, we were held up at gunpoint, and I almost had my ring taken. For the past seven years, I have only taken my ring off a few times but now with this rash under the band, I had to take it off for days at a time. Not wearing my ring after seven years on my finger felt really strange. Whenever the rash got better, I started wearing the ring again only for the rash to come back. I was devastated. I had an idea that if I could have the hallow part under the stone, where the water kept getting in, closed up, my rash would go away. I checked the Internet but every site I checked told me that it was impossible to do that to a ring. Then I remembered how Bryn Mawr Jewelry was so skillful in fixing my aquamarine anniversary ring. Desperate, I took the ring to Bryn Mawr Jewelry. Honestly, I thought they would send me away. I told the jeweler my problem and he said, “Yes, we can do that but the ring will be a little top heavy.” I asked what that meant and he explained it and let me make a decision if I wanted to go ahead with the work. Yes! I had no problem with it being a little top heavy since my fingers on each side would block the ring from turning anyway. Of course, I had to leave the ring at the shop. I had never parted with the ring for any amount of time so having to leave it for a week at the shop was not easy for me. A week later, I got a call that the ring was ready. I came to the shop and they brought out the ring. When I saw it, I was in absolute shock and awe. It was more beautiful that I had ever seen it before. The fill looked so perfect, it looked like the ring was made that way. The extra layer of gold made the ring look incredibly beautiful and suddenly, it even looked like a much more expensive ring (not that that mattered). The ring was cleaned and the stones sparkled. It was everything I wanted and more. I could not help but cry. All the emotions from the earthquake and the robbery, the good and bad times of our marriage are all captured in this ring and I believe that Bryn Mawr Jewelry understands the special emotions and memories a piece of jewelry holds for its owner. They took my ring and did not change it but made it better, more beautiful. I don’t even know how to describe it. I cannot say enough good things about this little shop! It is a special gem in the neighborhood. I’m so happy! Thank you!

My HUSBAND and I are incredibly excited to finally be able to leave a review for Scott and the Bryn Mawr Jewelry Team!! Scott initially helped recreate an engagement ring setting that I've always been in love with. Nick (hubby) brought photos of the ring to Scott, after meeting with multiple others (all fails and bad vibes), and he instantly felt like he had come to the right place. He was first skeptical by Scott's confidence to easily recreate the setting but is go glad that he put his faith in him to do so. He not only recreated it, but he put together key details to make it even better. Recently, we surprised our family at our engagement party that we had actually gotten married beforehand. You better believe we went to Scott for our secret wedding bands, too!! It was great to be a part of the process this time around. We worked together from initial designs to CAD images, then wax models. The whole process was stress-free, fun, and felt like we were just working with a friend. We are both INCREDIBLY grateful for his craftsmanship, customer service, and fantastic skills. We tell all of our friends and family about him and, with many friends our age gearing up for proposals, we tell them exactly where they need to go. Regardless if it's a custom piece, mending, or special occasion gift, these guys will take excellent care of you. We can't speak highly enough of them!!

Bryn Mawr designed and created the perfect engagement ring using a lab diamond they sourced, all while being discreet with my partner as to not to ruin the surprise. They also carry a nice selection of wedding bands in all styles, both vintage and new. We are so excited for our next chapter and are so happy Bryn Mawr can be a part of it. Update: not super impressed with the quality of their recent repair- we brought a necklace chain to have it fixed. A few weeks later it broke again but they said we’ll have to pay full price to get it fixed again. I don’t think I will come back to this place for another repair to potentially have it broken again in a few weeks. The journey to find a good jeweler continues… Good price, fast and efficient service and friendly staff! I brought my engagement ring here as the stone got loose over time. They fixed it in less than 10 mins, shined the ring which made it look like a brand new ring. I am very happy with the service they provided, and will be coming back in case I need to repair any jewelry I own!

Cannot say enough about my amazing experience with Jill and the Bryn Mawr team. I was recently in search for an engagement ring and had no idea where to start. Jill guided me throughout the entire process and acted as a true advisor. Throughout our interactions, Jill was patient, thoughtful and understanding, all of which helped quell my anxiety about constructing the perfect ring. Bryn Mawr help curate the materials and create the perfect ring, from scratch, to my (and my fiance's) desired specifications. I couldn't imagine going through this process without them. My husband gifted me a diamond anniversary band that needed re-sizing. Bryn Mawr Jewelry Co was able to accommodate a quick turnaround so that I could wear my new ring to our special dinner. They also polished/resized my original band, and it looks brand new. I knew it was a big ask to see if they could quickly fix my ring. They were kind, compassionate and understood the sentimental ties to jewelry. Beyond this, they are knowledgeable and were able to offer excellent advice so I can enjoy my new ring with my original set. I am so happy my partner and I decided to stop in to Bryn Mawr Jewelry co on the tail-end of our evening walk! As soon as I walked in, my engagement ring (which I purchased at another jeweler) was whisked away to be cleaned and tightened while we looked over their selection of gold wedding bands. Britt was so extremely helpful and knowledgeable – we found the perfect wedding band for me at a super reasonable price. There was no awkward pressure while I was shopping, I felt totally heard and validated and I can't stop staring at it! We'll definitely be back for anniversaries and for any other jewelry shopping we need done.

My great grandma's wedding band needed repair and a replacement stone. The people at Bryn Mawr were so wonderful! I didn't feel any pressure at any part of the process. The estimate was reasonable and they stuck to it. Their communication was reliable and timely. The repair was done so quickly and I had my ring back in a week! Scott found the perfect stone, cut in the same era as the other stones in the ring. And he cleaned the filigree so it's so shiny and fresh. I'm so delighted with my experience here!

I came here to get new stones put in an old ring. We worked with Scott and couldn't have had a better experience. He spent hours with us--walking us through the details, educating us about stones and settings, sending us regular email updates on progress, and didn't even blink when we completely changed our minds 4 times on short notice (not that I recommend doing that). He was fantastic. The ring came out spectacularly, and happened to be quite reasonably priced too. Totally recommended.

Today I went in to Bryn Mawr Jewelry with a ring that is very special to me since it was my father’s. He had found it as a teenager and after he put it on, he only took it off one time when he had surgery, and they had to cut it to get it off. I needed to get it resized so I could wear it, and they stretched it open and filed the edges since the stones in it are unknown and they didn’t want to heat them. It fits great now and they didn’t even charge me - so kind and thoughtful.

They were so easy to work with! I wanted to have a moi Et toi ring to memorialize my dad and I’m so glad I went with this jeweler. I wanted a lab emerald for ethical reasons and they never tried to pressure or shame me into a natural stone. They were so quick to respond and I felt they were very knowledgeable about what looked good. The price was very reasonable. I will definitely be back for my next jewelry purchase. I attached a pic but it really doesn’t do it justice!

Scott designed an awesome wedding band to go with my heirloom engagement ring. I was looking for something less traditional for the band, but that still would look good with the engagement ring and on its own. Scott made a wax cast so that I could see the band and how it would fit with my engagement ring, and then after a few tweaks, he made the ring for me. Everyone was great to work with and I love my new band!

Absolutely incredible. I lost a gold earring that was passed down in my family. They remade it for me. It was a complex design that they were able to replicate exactly. We had tried to get this fixed at sixt other jewelry, repair stores and was told that it could not be done. We took it to Bryn Mawr jewelers, and it looks like brand new repaired. This is the place to go. Scott created a replica of a vintage ring that has been in my family since the early 1900’s and had been damaged beyond repair. The finished product is perfection and the experience of working with Scott and Jill could not have been more enjoyable.
