Worst, I repeat worst experience. To begin with, the pick up time was 5 pm and I reached sharp at 5 pm. The representative said that they close at 5 pm. I mean why do you let customers book the car for pick up time at 5 pm when you close at that time and don't want to give the car. In this case, I was thankfully given the car as a favor. I was supposed to return the car at 5 pm on Saturday, but they close at 1 pm on Saturday. So, I called them beforehand to let them know that my drop of time is 5 pm, so what should I do? I was clearly instructed that I can park the car in their premises' parking and drop the key in the drop box, and so I dropped off the car before 5 pm. On the following day, I was charged additional day and the return time mentioned on the receipt was Sunday 5 pm, which should be Saturday 5 pm. I called the branch to clarify the confusion. But they tried to justify the charges saying that I returned the car after the shop was closed and it goes to the next day. On top of it, the representative was so incompetent that he couldn't point out that 'the additional day would be charged if the car is returned after the closing hours' in the rental agreement. He said that it is written on the deposit box (which is not true), also I had sigend the rental agreement not the deposit box. On top of it, he showed lack of professionalism by talking over me when I was trying to explain him that I returned the car before I was supposed to. After 1.5 hrs on the call, he returned the extra charges. The point is he shouldn't have charged additional day at the first place and I wouldn't have to waste 1.5 hrs making my point. I took the situation to the central line of Budget to get the refund and file a complaint on this franchise. They created case (case no. 49939404), but hasn't took any steps to prevent it in future. To conclude with, the representative was misguiding, rude and unprofessional and disciplinary actions should be taken on this branch. PS: There was another representative (I don't want to write her name on this platform, but her first name begins with 'P' and last name begins with 'L') who inspected the car before giving me and she did her job very professionally by explaining everything and addressed my concerns.

Horrible Customer support, No trust, Charged double from nowhere, careless. Charges in name of late fees are insane. I booked SUV from Budget this location, from Sunday to Monday 24 hrs, I was at Kanata, Ottawa location around 10 a.m. in morning booked car for 11.00 am to 11.am, initially we booked mid size car, changed to SUV added 2 drivers, signed agreement and all it took almost 11.00 am, however, they noted pick up time 10.11 am time from nowhere (This I got to know after calling to there customer service). I didn't know late charges so, I called early in morning to store, but no one picked up. I returned late around 11.30 am but again they noted 12.05 so they calculated 2hrs late = 24 hrs, charged for 2 days rental, how stupid and silly... easy money. So, I called and inquired about whole issue, got to know they even charged us for additional drivers for 2nd day, insane. Agent removed that charges and refunded 15% of late fee charges, refused to further help, took email for support same, No customer trust, service and values. Either never book car or beware of this issues, they will charge you more than double from nowhere. However, Location service was good in terms of clean car and quick drop off

The employee who was on the shift on Monday morning, Jun 5th, was incredibly rude. I entered the place when she was busy with a customer and I was talking on the phone with Budget's customer services who advised me to come to the nearest location and replace the car that I was rented a day before from the airport location because of mechanical's problem occurred on it. when the employee finished with a customer I told her that I want to replace the car and the lady on the phone was trying to call her (I heard the office phone ringing but she ignored it) to advise her about the issue and help me to replace the car. She refused to talk to me or to customer service who was on the phone and all she said was "..go to the airport location where you rented it!!.. and denied to listen or give any assistance. I will never ever deal with Budget!

VERY ABUSIVE AND AGRRESIVE REPLY WHEN I WENT IN FOR EXPLANTION AND WAS TREATEN TO LEAVE THE PREMISES AS I WAS INSISTING ON PROPER EXPLANATION AND A BETTER SOLUTION. APART FROM THIS A PATHETIC LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ARROGANT BEHAVIOUR WHEN I WENT IN TO PICK UP MY VEHICLE AND WAS NOT EVEN WELCOME OR ATTENDED FOR 45 MINS. MICHAEL NOT WEARING ANY PROTECTIVE GEAR OR USING COUNTER SCREEN IS ALSO A DANGEROUS DURING THIS PANDAMIC IS ALSO NOT SAFE OPTION TO OPT FOR.

I rent a cat in Canada (Kanata ON).my contract payment was 2010.58 CD.pick up time was 08/23 at noon and drop-off was 09/06 at noon. I dropped off 1houre before the drop-off time. On 09/09 they charged my credit card 2171.86 CD. I mean 161.28 $ extra charge!!!! I come back to the USA. I called them and they told me that was our mistake and we will pay back the extra charges. But they never did that. I called them several times, but they didn't pay me back my money. this is the last time that l rent a car from the budget. My rental agreement number was 947116413

The owner of this franchise refuses to issue a refund for a rental not provided. Family member rented a GPS system with the car and didn't get it. The rental was prepaid and not provided. After three weeks the franchise owner refuses to issue a refund, on top of the sloppy service my family member has received on every visit to this location to get the issue fixed. This location takes your money for rentals they cannot provide and then refuses to refund the amount. This issue has been ongoing since August 2nd, 2018. I would not recommend this location.

Worst experience. Booked a car on Aeroplan Points & they charged me $169, which they said was a hold fee. It has been more than 3 weeks that I returned the car & no refund had been issued. Went to this rental facility & Manager (Othinel Dupuy) was not there & staff had no clue how to help. Sent Manager an email & no response. Now calling the 1800 customer service number & being transferred 3 times because no one seem to know where to transfer me. I wish they had negative rating that I could give this company & facility. Avoid them if u can. I will.

Had to rent a car last minute as mine was stuck at the repair shop and not ready. I had a rental within half an hour. The service was above excellent. Professional and extremely friendly. I got home and was concerned about a noise I heard so brought it back. They rushed it to a local mechanic to have it lifted to see if there was a problem. The mechanic gave it the OK and I was back on the road; no problem at all. I would definitely rent from this location again and confidently recommend them.

I booked a car with budget on a pretty short notice. I called in early afternoon for an evening pickup. Luckily, this place had a car available. Staff was very friendly and able to answer all my questions. They weren't too pushy with the additional coverage. My only issue was the hour at which this place closed. Six o'clock isn't the most convenient time, but it seems like the standard in the industry. Prices are on par with other car rentals in the area too.

Worst experience in my life. I rent a car every two weeks for travel due to my job. My regular rental company was sold out so I decided to try Budget. The guys there are rude, arrogant and unprofessional. Tried to give me an economy car for a full size and when I told them I didn't rent an economy, they laughed and told me to take it or leave it. I walked out without taking the rental. I will NEVER GO go there again. I'll go back to Enterprise.

Rented a car for 9 days, they were great at getting me behind a wheel. My insurance was invoiced for 9 days, I was charged 249.28 on my visa. I called insurance and confirmed they were invoiced correctly 9 days. I then called budget and they advised me I need to get refund from my insurance. I told them the money was out of my credit card by budget not by insurance. I gave them 2 days to reimburse me. Let's see how that goes

It's not my first time renting a vehicle through BUDGET but the deposit keeps changing every time from $300 to $500 and NOW $750. I called Head Office and they told me if I have a pre- order that I should ONLY deposit $250 NOT $750 which by the way Enterprise only charges deposit for $200...I was very very unhappy with BUDGET only renting from Enterprise from now on

Awful Rental service. if you reserve it and if you didn't pay online for it, and if you decide to cancel it, you don't get cancellation fee. if you pay online, and trying to cancel, you get $50 cancellation fee. Booking and cancelation was done within 15 minutes. Online Customer service is so horrible. I would never rent from Budget in my life time again.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Terrible service. The women working the desk was rude to my husband and I and she was also very rude to a young male employee that was trying to ask her a question. We ended up leaving and not renting a car at this business due to the attitude of the employee.

Ridiculous and large hidden fees that you aren’t made aware of until the day of your booking. “Couldn’t” give our $800 refund because we booked online and sent us out with a 1-800 number with zero apology or help.. leaving us stranded on the day of our trip. Ridiculous service. 0/5 stars.

DISGUSTING COMPANY. guy working the counter this morning is ignorant, useless and we will never return. Overpriced in both rental fees and 3x the security deposit at $500 that’s even after you purchase their insurance !! Do your selves a favour and book with enterprise!!!

Had an 8am reservation for 16' moving truck. Arrived at 7:58. There were two people ahead of us waiting outside. We waited until 8:20 and gave up because we have to move today! Luckiky we were able to get a truck from U-Haul. Horrible, horrible way to run a business!

Dropped the car off on time (with in the 24hrs) . Got charged for an extra day of rental of $365 . No one contacted me to notify of the mistake. Called the office a few times - getting the run around . No return calls. On the 6th day of this issue .

The service want especially fast or friendly but it wasn't especially slow or unfriendly. The process of renting the truck online and picking it up was easy. The company was very helpful and accommodating when we need the truck for an extra hour.

Awesome service! The young man was so helpful and upgraded me to a cargo van from an SUV. Did my move in 3 hours with only one trip instead of 8 hours and probably 4 trips. I would highly recommend this rental location!

As soon as you drive away from the lot, your first stop should be the gas station. Even if the gauge seems to say "full", often it is not. BEWARE. This little trick happened to me the last two times I rented.
