I did not feel that they had compassion for the family. It was like we were just another number or a "check" At times we felt like we were irritating the director. Treated us as if we were getting on his nerves. We had questions and concerns and he was just really short with us and act like he didnt have time for us. I personally wouldnt let this guy do another arrangement for my family or friends. I need to know that the people actually care about the loved ones that are going through the difficult time. Because if you were irritated and short with us, there is no telling how he treats the body of the loved one behind closed doors.

As I reflect on the loss of my loving father, my continuous gratitude goes to Burton-E W Calahan Funeral Home. My mother was pleased with how Mr. and Mrs. EW Calahan comforted her by walking her through every step of the journey. All my siblings felt your genuine warmth and support during this difficult time and I will never forget how much you enveloped us with love. You were able to make my father’s last request a reality. They are going to bury my brother. I felt like I was imposing on them to change his suit. The staff reassured me it wasn't an imposition. They have taken care of quite a few of my family. Im putting my trust in them. To the gentleman that gave me a Kleenex yesterday, thank you. To the gentleman that walked us to the door, thank you. To the gentleman that opened the door thank you. I appreciate all of you who help us through these difficult decisions.

Burton Funeral Home has been awesome! Within the last 12 years, they took care of my grandmother, father, mother and husband. They all looked like themselves, and as if they were sleeping peacefully. The staff as a whole was AWESOME! I felt that they genuinely cared and it showed in their work. Thank you! I'm forever grateful.

My dad passed away and this was my first time having to plan a funeral myself. Burton’s made it a stress free experience. They communicated with me very well and made sure everything was handled correctly. Then even fixed problems that they didn’t cause (my dad remains was transferred from a funeral home in Dallas).
