My experience was that the staff are not very friendly or caring. Had to get some documents certified as my dad recently passed away and we needed to close his accounts. The lady refused to certify his license, his will and his death certificate (despite all originals being provided, along with legal documentation that I was the nominated executor) – reason being that she would only certify with the person named on such documents present. Despite being reminded that I was the legal executor and that the person in question could not be present due to being, quite frankly, dead; she simply shrugged and told me to find a JP or ‘someone else’. I was too tired to even try to argue as there seemed to be no point with such lack of common sense and basic decency exhibited; she clearly could not care less. We had absolutely no issues with the JP later and would recommend people in similar circumstances to save their time and try other places. Honestly disappointing service, especially for a police station, not even that she wouldn’t sign, but simply that we were made to feel like a hassle for even asking. No other nearby JP addresses or services were recommended or any offers of alternate help/suggestions were given.

Went to Police Station Burwood to get my fingerprints taken for applying Singapore Police Clearance Certificate. First day, the lady in Police uniform told me I need ‘everything’ to be printed out, but she didn’t tell me what is everything. I thought it should include the request letters from Singapore Police and Australia Home Affairs. So I went back and printed out all relevant documents. On the second day, I was told by a lovey lady without uniform at the reception that I needed to get a prepaid envelope first and the Police Station would post it to Singapore Police for me. Luckily the Post Office isn’t far away. When I came back, all documents that I printed were NOT required. Only drivers license and credit card is required. The lady was so helpful and nice and the three points are definitely credited to her. For people who need fingerprints required by foreign countries, just go to your local Police Station with your drivers license or Passport and credit card, buy a prepaid envelope to the destination country, and tell your reason, it should be finished within 15 mins. No appointment needed.

My landlord getinside my room without permission, rob my key, and try to ask me for more money(evidence can be provided). And I asked him back my keys if I give him more money, and I agree, however, the person kicked me out, and detain my property for few weeks, I was homeless during the days, and I been to community legal centre ask solicitor for helping, and he back my stuff with talking to my lawyer, until the day, the guy back my stuff, but I found there are many valuable things are lost. I called police, but police didn't try to help me, they heard the guys' talking and make an AVO order to me without interview me. i have lost like$50,000 in total. I am so sick with Australian police

I would like to thank the policewoman who were on duty yesterday night. Our car and belongings (including house keys) were unlawfully detained by Burwood Plaza car park management / security, and thereby deprived us of basic human right of a place to live which effectively made us homeless for the night. She has helped us to contact the third party management company, point parking, of the electronic gate even though they couldn't do much to help to open the physical gate. Very well done. No doubt appreciate her quick response.

I called the local Police station to report some illegal racing which happens regularly on our street and was appalled by the attitude I encountered. I had marked down the number plates and was told this was 'useless' and that I should just ignore it because it's likely to be young adults and 'kids will be kids'. Not exactly the attitude you'd expect from the Police. I later called the crime stoppers hotline and had a much better experience. I don't recommend dealing with Burwood Police - you're not likely to get anywhere!

On last Saturday morning I came to this station to file a police report for a hit & run accident to my car. With sufficient evidence the case dealing constable did a fast and efficient job, by the same day lunchtime the case had been finalised. The hit&run guy already came to the station and admitted his wrong doing. Thanks to CST Hoopert!

“I don’t know where your brother is... I’m not responsible to track his whereabouts... he can be anywhere, he’s not here.” was the response I got from the cops when I called him all the way from Nepal to enquire about my brother who has been held in custody there. You be the judge to the inconsiderate attitude of the cops.

Just want to give a shout out to Constable Bi Liu and Douglas Gannon. Both were very professional, understanding and polite when approached by them. We definitely need top officers like these two in our community. Keep up the great work guys, your department should be very proud and privileged to have you on board!

Police doesn't know the COVID LGA restriction rules. Called up today 11:17am asking about COVID LAG restriction on whether I can check on my parent's property for rain damage. and the police there doesn't know. all they can say is that if I am pulled over then it is up to the officer's discretion.

I called up to get some assistance and the constable that answered the phone was very friendly and accomodating. He helped alleviate some of the stress I was feeling and did his best to help me out.
