"DO NOT TRUST THIS CVS FOR COVID VACCINES"
"Not only is this location storing vaccines improperly, they are RUDE"
"How is no one else speaking about the fact that this CVS has admitted to storing vaccines improperly from as far back as Sept 24, 2022 causing any vaccination administered during that time inactive and people to have to REVACCINATED for either FLU or COVID"
"I went to buy soap and shampoo and the shelves were basically empty"
"People here are so nice! The nicest of any CVS in the city, and one of the nicer of any chain pharmacy-type thing"
DO NOT TRUST THIS CVS FOR COVID VACCINES. My husband and I got our latest boosters on 10/1/22 (Pfizer). A month and a half later(!) I was contacted by the store that mine had been compromised due to their temperature storage. I got that call literally 6 days after testing positive for Covid, where I'd been lying on the couch. And suddenly it made sense why I was SO SICK considering my "fully vaccinated/up-to-date boosted" status - since in effect the booster might well as not happened. I raised this issue with CVS and spoke with a pharmacist at a district-level managerial tier for the nyc area. He confirmed "temperature excursions" had been identified as a problem as of 12/14/22. He could not offer an explanation for the delay in informing me beyond poor process/poor management/ incompetence. So about a week out from Christmas travel plans, far too late for me to take action to get re-boosted (as they suggested) to salvage my holiday. Upon my question as to why my husband had not also been informed of the booster issue (same day, manufacturer, batch, etc. as me), the district manager reached out to this store location and was advised that my husband WAS on their list to contact, and SHOULD have been called right after me - but never was. No explanation - so chalk that up to mismanagement/ incompetence as well. Save yourself the hassle we had at being sick through the holidays - seriously it was a solid 3 weeks before we recovered our health. Get boosted somewhere else by a provider that's more responsible with your health!!!!!
Not only is this location storing vaccines improperly, they are RUDE. Absolutely terrible! This is the second time that I went to this location as my doctor sent my prescription there in a pinch. The first time, the associate cut me off as I was spelling my name and was short. Today, I arrived just as the team was heading to lunch. Both prescriptions were placed at the same time yet only one was ready at the time of my arrival. I was told I would have to wait until after lunch was over before I got the second. I asked to speak to the manager. Meanwhile, they were lowering the metal partition. The manager came over and was curt. She reiterated that they were off for lunch and further closed the partition. At this point, it nearly hit my head, my phone and earbuds were on the counter and I worried it would get crushed or my forehead would get hit. I verbalized this. The Manger didn't seem to care. She reiterated they were off to lunch, "by law." I was clearly being micro aggressed against. I told her I would be filing a complaint. She told me to call the 1800 number. I went to the front and spoke to the manager. She was extremely apologetic, which I appreciated. She also said another lead would be giving me a call. I will indeed be filing a formal complaint.
How is no one else speaking about the fact that this CVS has admitted to storing vaccines improperly from as far back as Sept 24, 2022 causing any vaccination administered during that time inactive and people to have to REVACCINATED for either FLU or COVID. My niece and nephew both received vaccination for the flu on Oct 31, 2022 and I was notified about my niece on Dec 12, 2022 and my nephew Dec 20, 2022 needing to get revaccinated. Very disappointed and trying to correct this huge mistake is far from CVS’s priority as they informed me that I would need to schedule a new appointment via the website. I will never use CVS for any future vaccinations for myself or my family.
I went to buy soap and shampoo and the shelves were basically empty. Not the first time. I also noticed many things were not stocked in other areas. I went to get allergy medicine, which is locked up, and no one came when I pressed the button. I asked the pharmacy for help and was told to press the button. Regarding the pharmacy, my oncologist had to recently call the store directly because they didn’t seem to want to fill a prescription and he said “the pharmacist was the least helpful person he had ever encountered at a pharmacy who outright lied” to him. Very disappointed in CVS. Is this store closing too? This is the way the Montague store was before they closed.
People here are so nice! The nicest of any CVS in the city, and one of the nicer of any chain pharmacy-type thing. They seem genuinely kind; one staff member patiently helped a dude pick out votives!! The most important choice in life, moreso than marriage partner or car brand. I filled a prescription here and they were able to convert a 90-day ExpressScripts mail-in prescription to three 30-day in-person prescriptions. Really appreciated that; makes my life easier. They were relatively fast with it; ten or fifteen minutes. Charming exterior; it blends into the neighborhood brownstone-y feel and doesn't stick out as a concrete colossus.
It's now just short of noon on Wednesday, 3/16. I have been waiting on hold for the pharmacist for about 25 minutes. At first all I heard was music, but finally, after about 20 minutes, somebody in the pharmacy simplypicked up the phone and put it down. I heard business being done but no response. This is the second time something like this has happened to me. Please do something about this, perhaps hire a another pharmacist or clerk. A quicker response may be necessary in some cases. I have continued to wait while writing this note. Really, enough is enough!
the cvs pharmacy in my neighborhood has a good pharmacy and , pre-pandemic , had an excellent selection of products. it is very expensive altho not generally more than its competitors near me. in the last year or so it has had extreme problem with stocking. it has almost no toothpaste of any brand and certainly not of the sensitive brand variety which i use. many similar necessary items --deodorant, paper products, etc--are not available. one thing that has improved is the staff--there has been a noticable change for the better in the last 2 years.
This is by worst CVS If You don’t have to got here don’t go they never haven’t anything and now with this bring your own bag thing it’s worst I was followed around the whole store yesterday my husband and my self and the after that had to come back to the store because they forgot to put two of my items in my bag I’ve been in the neighborhood for over 20 years and they need to train there staff because it’s not comfortable. Then You have the people with the big mountain dogs I think that’s just ridiculous if it’s not a Service dog .
After receiving notification that my bivalent and flu shots were improperly stored and I would have to get revaccinated, I tried multiple times to make an appointment. Each time I made an appointment, it was canceled. The frustration of having to keep at them to get an appointment is maddening. Finally I went to Downtown RX Pharmacy on Atlantic. It's the difference between night and day. Downtown RX took 5 minutes and I didn't need an appointment. I just walked right in. Don't bother with CVS for vaccinations. It's a waste of time.
AT THIS DRUG STORE, PHARMACY YOU ARE ABLE TO ENGAGE IN MANY CHOICES YOU FAVOR TO PURCHASE. THERE IS A FUNCTIONING PHARMACY & AVAILABLE HOUSE HOLD PRODUCTS USEFUL FOR THE SKIN(COSMETICS) THE HEALTH (COLD MEDICINE) & THE PHYSICAL(HAIR SHAMPOOS, CONDITIONERS, BABY PRODUCTS, GIFTS & CARD SELECTIONS etc.) MY FAVORITE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE IS MY VISITS TO THE PHARMACY & GETTING MY PRESCRIPTION FILLED. I BROWSE OFTEN ALONG THE CVS ISLES TO KEEP IN MIND IDEAS & VALUABLE INFORMATION ON USEFUL PRODUCTS TO ASSIST ME IN ACHIEVING GOOD HEALTH.
I love this particular CVS. The employees here are consistently helpful and very pleasant. I am always greeted warmly when entering. The pharmacy staff here is also very courteous, professional and prompt with filling my medications. There are other CVS branches in the neighborhood and scattered all throughout the 5 boroughs. They are as ubiquitous as Starbucks now. However, this CVS in particular is really a pleasure to shop at.
I think this is the best and most efficient pharmacy in the area! I had to call in a script for my wife and also for myself recently, they filled them super quickly sameday and also worked with us on comparing prices between brand and generic options. Great place for getting meds filled! they also have some staples like Lactaid / regular milk and eggs available if you need to grab other stuff too while youre there.
One of the worst pharmacy experiences I have ever had. Not only is the pharmacist is extremely rude but VERY unhelpful. I was shocked at her blatant lack of empathy and unwillingness to explain how/when I should take Plan B along with my birth control. Confronting emergency contraception situations are nerve racking enough as is but to then have your pharmacist treat you terribly…. just really appalling.
Received great care from Dr. Sabrina at the MinuteClinic. She took time to listen to my concerns, was patient and kind, wrote me a prescription right away and got it to the pharmacy immediately. Pharmacy staff had a LOT of customers to deal with and still remained professional, kind and attentive. As promised, Dr. Sabrina followed up exactly a week later to see how I was doing.
Agree with all the people who say they don't pick up the phone. it's been over an hour. Tried front of store, pharmacy, and no-one can pick up the phone. Would give them zero rating if I could. It's so inconsiderate and horrible customer service. Obviously people need their meds and many are too sick to stay on the phone over an hour with ear splitting music to do so,
These people just cancelled covid booster shot appointment that was made weeks prior to the appointment. They gave no explanation and kept telling me to reschedule. Happened to my fiancee as well whom made the appointment for the same day. This CVS is awful and filled with folks who don’t want to work at CVS. But then again… who wants to work for CVS??
They no longer deserve a 5 star. This used to be my favorite pharmacy. They were always reliable. There are workers in there now that are just simply lazy. They give u the basic minimum help. If you get someone to answer the phone that's a huge deal because they don't even do that. These workers all need to be fired.
The staff are very patient & kind, however, the wait time is super long for picking up prescriptions, approx. 20-40min., possibly longer. Their pharmacy operation is unorganized and appears the staff are pulled in different reactionary directions and the wait times are long. It’s not first come, first serve.
Pharmacy staff refused to take insurance card, and did not even bother to call the insurance company or the doctor to double-check. My son was feeling very ill, and I did not want to argue with them and cause more tension and stress, so I just paid out of pocket a very large sum. I will not use them again.
This store has become impossible to shop at. The people are super nice but like everywhere else everything is behind glass now so they have to spend their time constantly running around opening cases. Then you get to checkout and the self checkouts ring you up improperly. I can’t speak for the pharmacy.
Not every CVS is dog friendly, so I was ecstatic to find out this one is! I walk my girls around the neighborhood, so it was wonderful being greeted with smiles and reassurance that they are welcome in the store. I also enjoy the self checkout section when you just want to grab one or two things.
The workers are all really nice, but this location has so many issues. Really low inventory when compared to other major drug store locations. More and more inventory is locked up, but the store is so understaffed no one comes to open the cases. The self-checkout machines are often broken.
would give 0 stars if i could. waited 20 mins in the minute clinic, the “receptionist” was facetiming someone, never helped us check in and then wouldn’t see us because we “weren’t checked in on time” - a literal joke. go to urgent care, this place & its staff are both not worth your $$
The Pharmacy staff is fabulous and so helpful. They really go out of their way to help. I had forgotten my medicine at home and needed to catch a plane so no way for me to go home. They did everything possible to get my medicine within half hour. Way to go and many thanks.
Completely inept and can never find my prescriptions or have any self awareness about wasting other peoples time. Guess its my fault when i keep coming back and they don't even bother apologizing. At least they have a cute building, about all that's going for this place
HIPAA violations (left personal information via voicemails on phone numbers that were over ten years old and had been REPEATEDLY deleted/asked to be deleted each time I was at the pharmacy in person). Lost my prescription multiple times. Impressively unhelpful staff.
This CVS Pharmacy is in Brooklyn Heights on Henry Street it's across the street from some apartment buildings and two churches in the block it's on a cute name street Love Lane it looks like you house on the outside of it check it out if you're in the area …
This is my favorite CVS bc it is neat, organized, mostly well stocked , and has the most helpful staff. Being greeted upon entering and asked if one needs help are very appreciated. It is also important to see familiar staff that has been there a while .
Shawna is an exceptional clerk. She was engaged with my questions and had the right answers about covid products. Polite, engaged and knowledgable. Promote her and you will be doing cvs a service. Some of your help are average.
I'm impressed by the store's commitment to sustainability. They offer eco-friendly products and promote recycling. It's great to see a business that cares about the environment!" Employee. Amir, Rion, zaheer was very helpful.
Terrible customer service experience with Michelle (store manager on duty) and the CareClinic team. They refused to accommodate me in a timely manner while I had an open wound. Extremely unfriendly and unhygienic.
This store is okay. They do not have consistent service. I have only shopped for the items on sale. I went to the pharmacy once or twice, but I called before I went. Prices vary and there is a huge stock of items.
Everyone here is so kind and helpful. Their pharmacy department is always so patient and great at getting in touch with the right folks whenever there is a glitch with insurance, refills, transfers, etc.
I have to say I have been there several times this month, early in the morning on my way to work and the staff has been friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make my vist flow smoothly.
use the pharmacy a lot. The staff is efficie t and friendly and pharmacists are usually very helpful. I fill about 10 prescriptions a month and have never hsd a screw up.
My daughter made an appointment here for test-to-treat and nobody showed up to honor the appointment nor did they notify her they wouldn’t be there. Very irresponsible.
Manager Jason is ALWAYS pleasant & cordial and happy to help and the staff are too. Store is neat and well stocked. Pharmacy staff are solid & knowledgeable.
I don't mind the service but thy don't re-stack often enough...Not nearly as dependable as Rite Aid. I don't know how they stay in business
I have been on the phone on hold for over an hour for the pharmacy. Incredibly frustrating. Will never use them for prescriptions again.
This location in particular is really nice. Service is usually quick. They have three self-checkout registers, some of which take cash.
Absurdly entitled employees. Didn’t run my insurance after telling me it is & I got charged $600 for something that should be covered
the pharmacy tech in the back was super nice to me, helped me when the store was busy with a smile !! cvs, please give Kara a raise!
Awful pharmacy. Don't care to help when there is an issue and straight up lie about checking temperatures when giving vaccines.
Easy access to products (not yet locked up). Very friendly and helpful staff. But many items here are far less expensive online
Looks like jts going out of business. Nothing in inventory. Empty boxes all over aisle. Managers dgaf clearly
the staff member was not helpful at all and just wanted me out of the store as soon as possible
Get ready to play their DMV quality customer service games. Smells like a used toilet.
10 person deep wait for pick up at pharmacy...but very friendly staff once u get there
They cancelled my Covid booster shot with 2 hours notice and no explanation.
Pharmacy staff is very helpful and turns prescription around quickly.
The staff here is very good. I always come away from here satisfied.
Self checkout is not working AGAIN! And no one is around to help!
Helpful staff and convenient location. Couldn't hope for better.
Self checkout good for buying condoms. Aisles are WIDE.
Very good service, Friendly and Helpful Pharmacy staff!
Pathetic how disorganized and clueless this place is
Friendly staff and great neighborhood pharmacy.
"Let me know if you need help with anything"
Horrible wait time for prescription pick up
Love this CVS - friendliest staff
My favorite CVS on planet earth.
Really friendly and helpful.
they have a self checkout
Clean
