I live within a block of this location, and I have two main issues with how they conduct business. The first is that they are far from consistent with their hours. Supposedly, they are open 24 hours a day, but half the time that is blatantly false. There have been days that I’ve shown up at 11:30 PM and they are closed and other days I’ve shown up at 2:00 AM and they are open. If you have a giant sign that says “Open 24 Hours,” then your business needs to be open 24 hours a day seven days a week. If that is not to be the case, then note that in some form of public representation. It does not reflect well on the CVS brand for a location to loudly proclaim something in multiple lighted signs outside your place of business, and then prove not to follow through with that promised message. The second issue I have is that every single thing is in a locked case. If you need to move quickly, you’re not going to get in and out in a timely manner. It takes absolutely forever to get any assistance to have a single case unlocked to purchase something that is lucked away (so basically everything at this store). Meanwhile, there is a Duane Reade less than 500 feet away that has absolutely nothing locked in a like manner. If CVS has such a problem with shoplifting that it needs to have locked cases, then why in the world do they have security guards at the front and multiple employees stationed throughout the store. Maybe they should use those salaries towards paying a legitimate 24 hour a day staff instead of falsely proclaiming hours, that are not true. Patron this location at your peril. I suggest visiting the Duane Reade at the corner of Broadway and Park Place. It’s a far better use if your time and money.
Shockingly incompetent pharmacy. Everyone there should be fired. This review is not due to a one time problem but the general way they do business. If your rx is not available or on back order don’t expect a courtesy call.your doctor might get one. Maybe. Probably not. If you are waiting for a delivery cause you are too sick to go out prepare for 12 hr vigil and an incomplete order. If one of your rx happens to be a controlled substance expect CVS to decide whats best for you, not your doctor, and for CVS to treat you like a junkie by refusing to fill or deliver your rx claiming “ it’s not time”, even if it’s past the 30 day time. Expect them to do as they financially please . Fill it or not. Expect 36 plus minute hold times, then to be disconnected. Don’t ask to speak to a manager, apparently none work there. The App is not user friendly and gives conflicting information on the status of your prescriptions. I could continue with this rant but I’m too sick. I would have felt better had cvs shown up with my medication by 8PM after I called and was told the medicine was out for delivery at 8 AM. Go anywhere but cvs. They are condescending and rude to patients. They second guess your doctor’s prescriptions when it is not their place. They give patients conflicting information. They lie just to get you off the phone. 10 pharmacists will give you ten different rx explanations, all of them wrong. The APP is a joke. Calling them is worse still
Completely incompetent pharmacy .I have Parkinson’s disease with severe hypertension. waited 10 hours for BP meds to be delivered. I am unable to walk to pick up and cvs was informed of that several times by my Dr . Called several times and was told by the usual rude pharmacy staff it was on the way. It never arrived. I am now waiting for a medivan to take me to the hospital with hypertensive crisis. BP 199/120. Thanks a lot CVS. This is criminal incompetence. This is not the first time CVS delivery is a no show with critical meds or pharmacy staff made excuses that the “ delivery guy didn’t show up today” without letting a client know their meds are not coming. The usual wAit time is over 8 hours. If you call within an hour of the pharmacy closing they often disconnect you or do not pick up at all. This is callously unprofessional for a business that deals with people needing their medicine. Several times the wrong meds were delivered or an important medication not included in the delivery order. Try getting through to have the missing medication delivered and you’ll only speak to someone who does not know anything. Then they’ll hang up on you. This was not a one time event which is why I am writing this review. Avoid the 129 Fulton St CVS at all costs
This is the absolute worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I have had several situations where I was told my prescription would be ready by x time, and when I arrived to pick it up - I was told they don't have it and can't get it before close. Twice this was for medicine I urgently needed. Another time, the pharmacy fill the prescription and gave me the wrong medicine - I only noticed when I went to take it that night. This is a major problem and put my health at risk. When I called to discuss with the pharmacist I was met with someone who was rude and condescending saying that my doctor should have known to send the prescription to a specialty pharmacy. While that may be true, their staff should also know not to tell a client a prescription would be ready by x day/time if in fact they do not have it and cannot get it and furthermore they should not fill the prescription with the wrong medicine if they don't have the correct one. Am going to escalate this to CVS directly because it could put someone's health in jeopardy. Shameful and disappointing as I have always used CVS pharmacies to fill my prescriptions.
This is one of the best cvs locations I have been to.The overnight workers so patient and very helpful. At this present time with the covid 19 situation I hope that cvs would be kind enough to pay their workers an extra salary or even an extra half of it each week because they are indeed essential workers. They have been there to cater for us the public and indeed putting their own lives at risk. To the cvs managers please pay your employees an extra salary or even an extra half of their salary each week. They have stuck it out through for us in this pandemic, what will the public do without them in this critical time .Applause for all the cvs workers at this location Thank you from the bottom of my heart .
I try to avoid this location but sometimes it's unavoidable. I have felt some staff of color purposely followed me as if I was a shoplifter. Just last week I went to purchase something before work, traveled to the aisle, and took a few minutes looking. An African American female manager (I assume) just appeared to show up a minute later in the same aisle, didn't say anything to me or offer to help but just stood there doing nothing important for a good five minutes and left. I glanced over to her and was about to say, are you following me? But chose to fight my battles here. Many folks of color work in local government buildings in that area and financially contribute to businesses. Therefore, I am hoping staff receive retraining on how to safe-guard inventory without making certain paying customers feel discriminated against due to their ethnicities. I shop else when I can including the other store on Waters Street. I don't have too many eyes on me as I shop which makes me feel comfortable shopping and supporting businesses with my hard earned money.
WORST CVS PHARMACY I’VE EVER BEEN Was trying to open a locked case. The only store employee I could find that moment kept telling me to use a button to open the case, insisting it was the only way. Well it didn’t work. Before I could finish asking, he walked away on his own. Unable to find anyone else to ask for help, I attempted to open the case after pressing the button. Suddenly a female staff member appeared behind me with keys and questioned why I was trying to forcefully open it. Even after explaining the reason, she continued to blame and accuse me. Thank you for ruining my day and providing an unparalleled terrible experience. I understand the challenges and tiredness of being a shift worker, so I forgive your guys being rude you’re so welcome. However, please ensure you have enough staff available for assistance before locking most essential items!!
I went to the store over a month ago and was racially profiles by one of the employees. He was the older West Indian gentleman. I was there to buy a pair of socks and he abruptly rushed me out of the store. And told me to go place that also sold socks. I am giving it a one-star rating due to the fact that this is incomparable and impassable. I am an American citizen I am also a black American who does not deserve to be treated that way by anyone. And the fact that there is an individual of the same skin tone working there having the nerve to racially profile someone. Just because of how they are dressed and not sit there and take the time to actually understand what they need is sickening. I am giving this store the lowest rating possible because I cannot give it zero.
There are staffs to greet you when you enter the door located at 129 Fulton Street, New york, NY.. I have been shopping in the store several times recently. When I need help, the clerks are actively involved, helping to open the locker to get medicines, etc., and helping to settle the money. It is very convenient. Among them is the manager of the store. It is common for him to be busy recording work in the store. He has also actively responded to my inquiries, helped to find the goods in the store, and picked them up for me. I am a senior customer, thanks for your CVS haveing such a good pharmacy store and staff service! Thank again! Jun
Terrible experience! The CVS website said every location had the Novavax COVID shot, and advised to walk in or call the pharmacy. I tried calling, but gave up after no one answered for 10 minutes. After walking over to speak to the pharmacist, they told me they don't have Novavax and don't know why the website says they do. They then told me next time I should call ahead, to which I responded "I tried calling ahead, no one would answer." They sent me to another location on Broadway, which also did not have Novavax. CVS shouldn't say they have it in stock on their website, and employees should actually answer the phone!
Pharmacy staff are consistently NOT wearing masks at all or incorrectly (below nose) at store #2716 while behind the counter. Tonight I asked to speak to the the pharmacist, Alexandra Spektor, who told me the policy had changed so many times and that they did not have to wear masks while counting medicine because they did it on a tray. She then proceeded to tell me that before Covid no one wore masks to count medicine... Obviously no care to proper standard in medical care which is appalling. Pharmacist never asked individual's to pull up their masks and was incredibly dismissive. Avoid at all costs.
I've been going to this pharmacy for several years now. Over the years the pharmacy has gotten worse and worse. When you call no one really care to go out of their square box to lend a helping hand. I've never seen pharmacists or staff like them anywhere. Granted not ever single employee is bad. But it always states from the top with leadership. The fish rots from the head. I highly suggest no one ever going the this cvs pharmacy! No customer service and they could careless whether you pick up your prescription either from them or elsewhere. Don't make the mistake I made.
What's wrong with black female security?I know she is a security but she is too much,it's looks like by over acting, trying to cover her problems or something, the way she watching you like make you uncomfortable, i work with one of delivery platform so almost go there everyday sometimes 2 or 3 times a day, hope most of the staff knows me,and I'm not a shoplifter, that's not the way I grow up and my religion!I make more than enough money, don't disrespect a person be professional and treat everyone same way! ALWAYS HUMANITY FIRST!
Pharmacy is rude and extremely disrespectful of your time. I called to make sure the prescription was received and asked when it would be ready. I gave them extra half hour from what they told me to make sure I did not have to wait when picking up. But no - half a dozen people behind the counter, no customers waiting and still told to wait because it was not ready. But what is worse - told me that I was lying and did not actually call - apparently "nobody talked to me". Extremely unprofessional, shame that they are in business.
OMG TURN DOWN THE VOLUME ON YOUR OVERHEAD SPEAKERS Started going here cause I hate the Duane Reade on John - the people that work there hate it (I blame the managers. It's always their fault if the employees are miserable) and the music is absolutely the worst in any DR in the city. I had a great experience at this CVS the first two times I went in. Today, at 7:30 in the AM, the music was blaring so loud the clerk couldn't hear me. Seriously? Why don't you just scream at everybody who comes in. Gotta find a new drugstore, again
Last minute I had to transfer my prescription here. I called and spoke with a pharmacist and told him I'm leaving for vacation today and needed help getting my prescription since I couldn't get it mailed in time. I gave him the phone number to call to transfer my prescription. Within an hour I received a text that my prescription was ready to pick up! They were so nice in the store and on the phone. Without this prescription I would have been miserable on my vacation. They made my day and my vacation. Thank you!
Liars! Arrived there at 11.20pm while there are signs all over (see pic) saying 27 hour, and on google it says 12am anyway, I noticed a clerk in the store, knocked at the door and the guy laughing tells me « it’s been two years ». Two years what? What about the signs then, what keeping them up if it’s been two years?! Then he scrolled down the curtain on me. CVS — if you guys don’t abide by your own 1) signs or 2) website hours, then don’t give me that BS about the pandemic, just TELL the customers ahead!
This particular store has one of the worst sales clerks I’ve ever seen she’s rude unprofessional does not know how to speak with the customers everyone to her is a criminal in the store. You can be looking at an item that’s on the shelf without even touching it as she will stand there literally 2 feet from you and stare at you which makes the shopping experience in this particular store very uncomfortable. Her name is Cheryl. This incident happened to me on November 3, 2023 at approximately 11:30 PM
The service at this CVS Pharmacy is extremely bad. I was told it would take 15 minutes to pick up my prescription and ended up sitting and waiting for 1 hour before they called me up to tell me that they could only fill half my prescription. They said I could pick up the other half the next day after 6pm so I went back 2 days later and my perscription had still not been filled. Not only that but the first day the pharmacist gave me a persription that was not mine and I had to go back and return it.
I needed to speak to a pharmacist on my visit today. The pharmacy was very busy, but not only did the pharmacist take the time to speak with me and listen to the issue I was having, he came out from behind the counter to take me to the OTC medication section and talk through my options. He also gave very good advice on what potential medication change I should discuss with my doctor at my next appointment. This was among my best CVS visits and I would recommend this location.
Okay CVS location, but go elsewhere to get your prescriptions filled. We had constant issues with the pharmacy unable to properly submit our prescriptions to our insurance company. The price our medications would vary month to month, and sometimes they would claim that the medication was not covered (after we verified that it was). Dealing with the pharmacist was a nightmare (she was not helpful and very abrasive) so we ultimately decided to transfer to the CVS on Warren St.
Made me wait 3 months for photos and never called. Then proceeded to give me someone else’s photos, make me wait in line three different times just for a refund. Showing any semblance of kindness or patience with these people was immediately met with rudeness and general disdain. An awful experience all around, and the equivalent of retail hell. It’s clear these people hate their job and don’t want to deal with you.
Love this store . You are always asked “do you need help with anything” everyone is avaliable to help you ! Clean and organized . Went there to get something personal and young lady filling in the allergy section helped me beautifully .. she didn’t judge me like I’ve experienced in other places .. she took me to what i was looking for .. gave me great advice and I was definitely satisfied . Thank you CVS .
I called in the morning, Sunday Aug. 7, 2022. She answered my question in a short time. She was very clear and knew what polio was. 2 other pharmacist didn't know and had to ask some one so I had no confidence in their response. 5 gold stars to the very smart woman who clearly explained to me that pharmacist were Not allowed to inject Polio Vaccine. She's too smart to be a pharmacist!!!
It's on and off here, on one hand the pharmacy usually does a decent job of filling in order, on the other when trying to shop for items they are usually in short supply and the check out process is very annoying because there is usually no one there to help you check out since usually they rely heavily on self serve check out machines which keep freezing and breaking.
I'm usually quite partial to CVS stores, but a lot of things about this location are lacking. The space is small and cramped, and it was hard to find what I needed. That's not really so surprising, it being downtown New York and all, but the service at this place is also pretty poor. Looking around at these reviews, I guess I'm not the only one that felt that way.
Do not drop off film here. They lost my film that I dropped off. If you take a peak at the photo counter behind the cash registers you can understand why it’s a disorganized mess. I will never spend another penny at CVS based on my experience here. I am also encouraging the people who work in my building to go elsewhere. There is a Duane Reade just down the block.
I went in on a very rainy day. I was looking for a certain item I want to get in and out quickly. I noticed that I was being watched and followed into every aisle I went. I ask to speak with a manager she seemed to not care about concerns. She looked at me as if that is the kind of treatment I deserved. The mangers really hates African Americans with a passion.
Pharmacy closes at 9pm. Doctor called in a antibiotic for me after surgery at 8:25pm. Took a cab to pick it up. Was told by the pharmacy they wont fill it tonight because theyre too backed up and close at 9. I said, “I’m here, no one else seems to be? Cant you fill mine? Its only an antibiotic. They refused. Im done with this place. Walgreens is close by
I like this place very much. 1. Very polite service and the staff ever ready to help 2. Loved the cold cuts, Sandwiches and rolls 3. The fruit section was extensive and the sheer variety was mind boggling 4. The self check out counters were very useful 5. Their selection of chocolate was awesome Loved this place. Turned out to be a life saver!
She was so rude with bad attitude.. I requested for counter check out for me. She said make self check out ... she was looked lazy cashier there I wait and requested twice more for check out me from counter... she was not ready just she was looking me but not came in counter ... I came here from 15 minutes walking way for purchase my stuffs
One of the few places open when I get to work in early morning hours. There is a super nice lady who works there who greats everyone with a smile and a hello. It does make a difference. The store is well kept and organized and has a nice selection of goodies for the office. Love the self check-out it it is a friendly and easy process.
I went to this pharmacy on Friday due its convenience from my job, the cashier was EXTREMELY RUDE! I asked if they match their online prices she gave me the nastiest attitude and looked at me like if I was dumb, left the merchandise on the counter and left to Walgreens! Please train your staff members especially your front staff!
Been trying to get my prescription filled here for over a month and they still haven't filled it. Keep giving me excuses that my prescription is on hold and they can't fill it because it was filled at a location in Michigan?? Have been without my medications for over a month because of CVS's ineptitude. Do better as a brand.
This CVS location is pretty good at providing that classic CVS service. The staff working here are very helpful and accommodating. Only issue was that one time the cashier charged me extra incorrectly, but the store manager was able to fix it shortly after. Apart from that, I’ve had all positive experiences shopping here.
I've lived in the neighborhood for 7 years. I love the crew there. Especially Lissette!!! She is always so friendly and helpful and asks about my pet and it makes my day when I get to run into her there. There is a Duane Reade that is closer to me, but I honestly walk the extra block in case Lissette is working.
Fun fact: Airlines and international border controls recognise Passports as forms of ID. The 20 year old at the pharmacy, however, does not. "Do you have a US ID?" No. No I do not. What's good enough for United Airlines should be good enough for CVS when you're trying to buy something to stop your nose running.
3.19.18 - called to see if they have the flu vaccine for seniors and they did. My doc's office sent prescription and 15 minutes later it's getting prepared for pick up. There are about 8 staff bustling so thisbslot is busy. However there is one person chilling on her phone. Maybe a 15 minute break?
Just spend over $100 but had bad experiences with one of female staff with dreadhair and eye glass, not friendly , when ask her something the way she talked to me unprofessional and also some of staff need to be friendly for all costumers same way especially older light skin who works at door
This place is not the place to go if you are African American, but If you love being followed around like a criminal this is the place for you. This place has totally turned me off from stepping foot into any Cvs Again. I will spend my money elsewhere where I’m not being judge or followed.
THE ALMIGHTY CVS ALL HAIL CVS CVS is probably one of the best pharmacies out, they're everywhere and they've managed to give pretty good quality stuff I like the shaving cream options and I suggest that you only bring small amounts of money unless you'd want to drain your savings account
I feel weird posting a 5 star review for a CVS but this store deserves it. I have never walked in here without being greeted and asked if I need help with something. I’ve had staff go above and beyond to solve and issue. Keep up the good work management and staff!
The store is fine but the some of thr staff are rude. The cashier was giving me a hard time for absolutely no reason. I didn’t even say anything to her, I didn’t even order anything annoying. I probably won’t go in again, stick to the dwane reed down the street
I always enjoy shopping at this CVS for my medication and other supplies needed. The staff is always friendly with a smile and helpful. The pharmacy always calls on time to pick up medications and other important issues about medications, I Love This CVS.
Busy CVS, especially weekdays, but very well managed with employees buzzing through the store looking for people who need help. Self check-out keeps things moving quickly. Shout out to Lissette for helping me find my entire shopping list in the store!
Today (07/28/2023) evening, I was helped by Ms. Lisa at the cash register, and she was kind, helpful, and professional up to a level where I thought of appreciating her. Also, there was another lady with a burka, and she was so very helpful
The worst CVS location, I live right next to it so I am forced to deal with them every month. Rude, condescending staff…they lie to you to your face, as well. On multiple occasions they would tell me that my medicine is “out of stock” they
This location is absolutely amazing! They are always sweet and friendly. The pharmacy is also the best in my book! I forgot my blood pressure medicine and they were able to issue me a pill for today. Thank you everyone at CVS YOU GUYS ROCK!
Plenty of people asking if you need help. Aisles were clearly marked and the store is very clean. Checkout was fast as well. Very good location right next to the train. Would recommend if you need something and are in the area.
I left my pills at home by mistake and Danny was able to help me by giving me just enough to get through the day. Since I fill my prescriptions with CVS it was easy and very helpful. Thank you for the great customer service!!
Not enough diversity, always lacking products around 1am; self-checkout machines don’t work well. The staff is helpful and polite, location is good. But I’ve been to several other CVS drugstores that are much more equiped.
Get what you need here and be out unless the ac is strong during the day at this location! They have a full line of products at this corner location including suntan lotion :) NYC can be very bright just about now.
Decent store but if you are looking for alcohol, they have a very limited and subpar collection. The store itself is clean but we were creeped out by people standing there simply staring at the customers.
Every time I had to buy medicine and others, I never hesitate to go to this store. Your staff were very welcome not to be told to ask them. All of them were accessible and responsive. Thank you so much!
Good selection and convenient location, security was good about keeping the place safe. Staff were reasonably friendly, and it was fairly clean. Great location to stop in if you need something quick
CVS is a great pharmacy and very helpful. The service is good the people are friend;y. You can find almost any item at an affordable price. They have a self check out for those embarrassing items.
Their pharmacist is rude and nasty and always messing with my med they don’t care and make you go back one then one just to get the right medication and then they still find a way to mess up
The lady at the checkouts directing people was kind enough to tell me "I hope you feel better soon" after I purchased a knee brace. It was so sweet and definitely made my morning ❤️
Dont advertiste "24/7" if the ACTUAL pharmacy closes at 9pm... I came all the way from the Bx to find this....SMH. That s why I rather my local pharmacy, plus they charge no co-pay.
Huge CVS store in Lower Manhattan. The photo department is good enough. The staff is nice and helpful. The only place I had found custom photo print size appropriate to my needs.
Juha was absolutely amazing. There aren’t many customer service workers who go above and beyond anymore however I’m glad Juha is one of them. She definitely deserves a raise.
I WENT TO GET MY MEDICINE ON THURSDAY THE 3/16/23 AT 3PM AND THE EMPLOYEES ARE VERY RUDE I BETTER GO AND CHANGE THE PHARMACY NOW,DUANE READE... IS BETTER I M HAPPY …
The pharmacy is so slow. I got a phone notification my order was ready but it was not. Also why do all of the pharmacists need to take a lunch break at the same time?
Convenient location for your basic necessities. Self service kiosk, semi helpful staff. Cleanliness / sanitation during this virus outbreak could be improved.
loved the customer service at the pharmacy, especially from an Indian lady. she was extremely courteous, v helpful and v quick. I will always go here.
Everyone is so nice. Seems like people here love their job. The young lady at the counter made my day with her kindness today. Also, no racists here.
Completely incompetent pharmacy. Can’t fill a prescription, and can’t even manage expectations on when it will be filled. Never ever come here.
Purchased a tube of toothpaste from here and when I got home I noticed it expired in 2008.. 14 years ago, when George bush was still president.
I’ve been on the phone waiting for over an hour to speak with the pharmacy regarding prescriptions! This is not right! Put some help in there!
CVS is a great pharmacy and very helpful. The service is good the people are friendly, they take very good care of the customer, thank you
Pharmacist raised her tone at me and acted defensive after I asked why my prescription looked different than what I received in the past.
The employees at this location are not helpful. Also, at least one employee had an attitude when I made an inquiry about my prescription.
The manager Tiffany did manage to make our day .. thank you for the amazing staff for the fast , most convenient shopping experience
Every time me and my husband walk in to this specific CVS ...we are constantly being followed and the customer service is absurd.
The “customer service” at this location is comically bad. Rude, unhelpful and incredibly slow. I will absolutely never return.
Excellent location, great customer service. Everyone asking for help if needed. Done checkout for 5 items within 5 minutes.
Very easy to find. Very near train station and wall Street. I stop by this Rx every time I go to wall St to buy my stocks.
Some of the employees purposely place orders late for out of stock items so you cannot get your refills on time.
I got there 15 minutes before their online and phone advertised closing time and they wouldn’t let me in.
the staff is always super helpful and incredibly nice!! easily one of my favorite cvs locations :)
Cashier invented a time restricton on moneygram so that he wouldn't have to deal with my request.
Worst place ever, rude staff, never been cooperating. Specifically that lady at the entrance.
Lissette is amazing!!! Great customer service, professional and assisted me on all my needs.
CVS always has what I need. Customer reps always available n knowledgeable of products
I can not think of one thing. My experience with CVS have always been Great Service.
Not open 24 hours despite the signs in its windows that have been there for years
So sade to say online the you close 12 am then I go there 11.30 pm and you closed
Its was noon time, quite busy and the associated were personal and very helpful.
Nice place employees are friendly, get my medications fast and it’s always ready.
It's a good store let me have your medicine on time the people are nice …
Fairly large store located on two levels. Not especially good service here.
This CVS is great. Yahira truly provides outstanding service. Thanks!
I visit store this quite often, I always find what I’m looking for.
Rude cashier. She doesn't even know how to give changes.
Excellent people at the pharmacy section!
no one answers the phone at the pharmacy
Bilkis was great and helped me a lot!
They never pick up the phone
Good selection for a CVS
