The customer service at the pharmacy is awful! My boyfriend's doctor called in his prescription so we waited a couple of hours to go get it. When we arrived, he got in the pick up line and waited behind about 4 other customers for about 15 minutes. When it was his turn, they told him that because he had insurance he would have to go wait in the drop off line. Bear in mind the pick up person was close enough to the drop off person to touch them or hand them his insurance card, but my sweet boyfriend who had been up all night in pain with an ear infection did what he was told and got in the drop off line. He waited behind another 3 or 4 people for another 10 minutes, he gave them his insurance card, and then they told him he had to go get back in line at the pick up desk to get and pay for the prescription. So, he got back in the pick up line behind another 3 people and waited another 10 minutes. When it was his turn, the girl had to cancel and ring his prescription again 3 times because she couldn't figure out how to ring it up. The pick up cashier was quite snipy because my boyfriend was annoyed by waiting for 30 min to pick up medicine for an earache. When we got home, my boyfriend called the manager to complain, and the manager just told him that is how they do it in that store. So, I decided to write this to warn anyone who is trying to decide where to fill a prescription. Go to Walgreens and save yourself the headache!
I went in to buy a phone charger and was using my credit card. The chip has been malfunctioning for a couple months and I haven't had the time to go back home (I'm a uni student) to the bank or try and request one and all that-- and honestly haven't had a big need since most of the shopping I do online. Well, I tried to tell the cashier that whenever I come here I just enter my credit card number since the chip doesn't work and the CVS machines don't allow my card to swipe even if the chip isn't working, and the cashier ignored me and told me to do it anyways which I don't mind. I did, surprise, it didn't work. Then, he asks me "well, why didn't you get a new card then hm?" and I'm a little taken aback because he has no place asking me that, with that attitude, and I even tried to save us both time off the bat-- very politely. I don't even know what to say and I shrug a little and he literally, mocks me, and makes fun of me by also shrugging back with a stupid look on his face (like literally eyes wide open and tongue kind of out). I'm so irritated and infuriated. I was nothing but respectful to him and this old man is acting like he's my father and pays my college tuition... Horrible customer service.
I have had the worst customer experience in my life. I have been a customer at this CVS for two years. Today was the worse. I have been extremely patient with this disorganized staff in the pharmacy for the past two years, and as I look at the reviews, it's apparent by reading the majority of these post, many have experienced the same results. The pharmacist explained her rational about how my wife was unable to pick up her prescription. She gave a mandate to me about Tennessee law and filling prescriptions. However when we eventually got past this point, I told them that it's always a bad experience when I come here. Whether it's updating my address or just fulfilling a prescription. It's always a problem. Then afterwards, she shut the pharmacy window in my face. Very rude, and she ignored my request to ask for a supervisor (she also made sure that she covered her badge so that I couldn't see her name). She was a white women with Burnett colored hair. She was the main pharmacist. I spoke with the store manager. His name is Clint. Nice guy. Listened well. Hopefully they are in the process of hiring more customer friendly, organized people.
There’s an issue every time I come to this location. Recently, I stayed in line for over 45mins just to drop off my prescription. The Pharmacy Tech advised me that my prescription would be ready for pickup in an hour. I left and came back and the lady at the Pharmacy Register, Kayla, was extremely rude saying that there’s no prescriptions available for me and requested that I get out of line so that she can take the next customer. She never attempted to check if my prescription was misplaced or consult with the Pharmacy Tech who received my prescription. After I requested that she talk to the Pharmacy Tech, only then we found out that the Pharmacy Tech never put in the prescription. It is something everytime I come to this location. Kayla has had an attitude every single time as she is normally the one that is at the register. New management is desperately needed. Too bad this is the only CVS close and convenient to my home.
Don't try to get pictures printed at CVS. I recently had pictures from my wedding printed in a rather expensive $222 order. I wanted 6 sets to send to friends and family. When my husband picked up the pictures, they were completely out of order. It took us a couple of hours to sort them into complete sets. While we were sorting, we found that about 75 prints were unusable, as they were either printed in the wrong place on the picture paper or had giant ink streaks through them. My husband sent several hours on the phone trying to get the problem fixed, during which he kept getting transferred and disconnected between about 10 different people. They eventually made him drive back to CVS in person and then only refunded him $30. Complete waste of time and money. We won't use CVS to print photos ever again.
The only reason you want to go there is that there is no other option close to campus. I do my best to avoid it due to unprofessional and untrained staff. First of all, I didt not see the employee follow safe distance from you when they are providing a service. But, the horrible experience happened to me was in the phot booth. I asked them for 4 passport pics. They gave me the pics and I didnt realize that my face was cropped in those. I sent my application to USCIS and I was rejected due to improper passport pics. I went to store and talked to the manager and asked them for a formal letter about their employee's mistake. They just apologized and never gave me a the formal letter they were supposed to give me.
Waited an hour for my appointment that I scheduled in advance and arrived 5 minutes early for. Doctor took a look at me for 5 minutes when I described sick symptoms, did no strep test or anything like that, and just decided I have a sinus infection. She gave zero explanation until I asked for more information and said there’s a chance it’s not even a sinus infection, but prescribed me medicine anyway. She then prescribed me the wrong amount of pills. The container says take 3 pills a day for 7 days but there are 14 pills total. I waited another 30 minutes after coming back just to pick up the pills too. I’ve lost all my trust in the minute clinic and the pharmacy.
Given the customer base this pharmacy has, they are exceptional at what they produce. Ailing patients from the local hospital to the students from the Vanderbilt campus WHO NEVER KNOW THEIR INFORMATION AND MAKE IT HARD FOR THE representatives there that try to assist. If you don't have your proper information prior to getting your Rx filled then don't try to demand the assistance from the pharmacy and get mad b/c you don't have your facts in order. They are a service to you not vice versa and there are plenty of pharmacies within the Nashville area for you to choose from. At Best, a innocent bystander
I went in to have a prescription filled and had to deal with a pharmacist who has a Huge GOD complex. It was 8:30pm and he told that he couldn't fill my prescription or approximately 4 other people that were standing there. His reasoning was he was too busy filling scripts that were dropped off earlier Typically if I have ever gone to a pharmacy their willing to fill your script. because he has gotten bebind. His attitude was as if he were the only pharmacist on Earth and I Will listen to him.!!! I took the prescription and walked out.. I would suggest taking your business elsewhere.
I shop here all the time for myself and to DoorDash likewise. Jonathan is a wonderful help to this store and to customers. Today, he helped me get a CVS card to start using for all the shopping I do. Makes sense so I said sure absolutely. Then the next time I came in, which was about one hour later, the lady working next to Jonathan, was confrontational and combative about me asking to use my CVS card. She requested accommodations from Jonathan after conveying my concerns regarding her refusing to help me. I have enjoyed shopping at this store until today.
Horrible. Don’t ever leave your house and forget your medications needed to keep you alive, because this Pharamacy won’t lift a hand to call your doctor to get you a 3 day emergency supply if for some reason your scrip is out of state and happens to have no refills left in their system even though you plead with them that it should. Like come on— my life and death medicine just suddenly stopped today.... obviously it is a system error. At least get involved to help me. They will just leave you to die in place. Horrible people at this place.
If I could give a lower review than 1 star, I would. This pharmacy consistently provides poor service. They either do not have the prescriptions ready, do not fill the prescriptions properly or make you wait a ridiculously long time to fill your prescriptions. You are required to make multiple trips to the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions because they are not ready or are incorrect when you attempt to pick them up. I highly recommend you utilize a different pharmacy that actually cares about providing good customer service.
Unsure of the lady's name, but a close friend of mine came into this store and said the cashier refused to help him. He explained to me that he shops here nearly everyday for the past month and has had no issues until today. The lady asked a guy working named Jonathan to take over for her after refusing to help Phil. When Phil asked Jonathan why did she refuse to help, Jonathan said he did not know why she wouldn't help. Seriously this store is obviously trying to improve but this isn't the way to success.
An absolute dream. The staff is helpful, personable and knowledgeable, and the selection is all we hoped and more. The ethnic diversity of their team is inspiring, and their overall grasp of human decency is second to none. We regularly fill prescriptions here, buy necessities and occasionally splurge on candies and snacks. This place truly captures the ethos of the milk of human kindness and deeply understands and abides by the Hippocratic Oath.
Good selection and seems clean. However, their service is absolutely horrendous. Waited about 3 minutes for assistance at self and no one came so went and looked. I found someone, asked for assistance and they told me I had to come to the front. I said I just need to have my ID checked and they told me I can’t check my own ID, I have to come to the front. How rude can you be? What an obnoxious and unacceptable example of customer service.
The pharmacy is badly understaffed. It takes forever to get your prescriptions filled. The staff don't seem in any hurry whatsoever even if you are sitting there waiting while the others they are working on are callins who wont come back until they get tye message that their rx is ready. Most of the staff I dealt with seemed haughty and stuck up. The one employee who was courteous and friendly was obviously new and untrained.
Absolutely worst experience of my life! Post op could get no help. I’ve never in my entire life had a pharmacist be so Uncaring unhelpful and disrespectful in my life. Refused to listen or help me even tho I was the only person in the store. Made me cry and wait an hour and thst was after she said I’d have to wait 3 bc she had other things she wants to do first. But POST OP! I needed to be home resting.
My wife was transferred to Vanderbilt Hospital from a hospital 3 hours away. My doctor called in a prescription that I take daily because I forgot to bring it with me. Dr. immediately called the Rx in but it took 2 1/2 days to get it all together. It wasn't an insurance issue because the medication cost $11. Just so unorganized. Computer down... excuse excuse excuse. Don't recommend.
I’ve been using CVS for years, there has been one man, in the pharmacy, that has routinely, short and rude. I have noticed that the morale in the whole pharmacy has changed over the last years, where they seem to have all taken on this attitude. I just changed all of my prescriptions to a different pharmacy. There’s no need to be treated like this when you are trying to do business.
WARNING! CVS is running a SCAM! CVS Loyalty Members are getting Text Messages claiming if you complete a Survey you'll get a "cash" reward. Of course, you Don't. They Do offer discounted items that they purport you Only Pay Shipping for. Then they come back and Charge you the Listed Price a few days later. If you're Not already doing the Survey, Don't Bother! You'll just get robbed.
My dog loves this store! Every time we go for a walk, she has to stop in. The staff is super friendly and love how you can bring your dog in, everyone loves her. Pharmacy personnel is super helpful, had some issues getting a prescription filled from insurance (surprise!) and they called and made it happen. Everyone is super nice and polite, even if I move, I’m still coming back.
Got a $40 ticket when parked in their parking lot. The parking company, Stewart Parking Solutions, wouldn't drop it even after i showed them proof of purchase. CVS management refused to help me resolve. So if you like getting ripped off both with CVSs high prices and getting parking tickets even though signs suggest you can park there, go here! If not, stay away. Shameful
Not sure why this cvs has such a lowe score, but since I moved to Tennessee this has been my pharmacy, the minute I got there they had issues with my prescription etc. I moved from a different state, they did everything they could to get it resolved. The pharmacy staff is always busy and I haven't had one bad experience yet. Thank you to the pharmacists, y'all are great
Went to load money onto my card and asked them to count the money before. I’ve been to multiple locations including this one where they are able to count the money before scanning the bar code. Which is a big deal because if the money is off by one cent it won’t let me load any money until the week after. Manager was very rude about it. I will never come here again.
This is our family's go-to pharmacy, and we always receive excellent service. I will say, though, that it is always busy, since its right in the heart of Midtown and across the street from Vanderbilt. Free parking is available in the adjacent garage, just be sure you go straight into CVS (and not somewhere else) first, or you risk getting ticketed.
You will leave this place without your prescription or your will to live. They successfully fill a routine prescription about 40% of the time, and there is always a new and different issue. The sheer level of unabashed incompetence here is unbelievable. I would rather be punched in the face than ever set foot there again.
Be aware that you cannot walk in for a flu shot as advertised. They told me it would be an hour wait and then said instead the pharmacist is not doing anymore flu shots 2+ hours before they close. I went to Walgreens on Charlotte which is just as busy and similarly staffed and was still able to get a flu shot.
This pharmacy consistently has incredibly long lines and often the wrong prescription when I go in for a refill. I have to fill my prescriptions at CVS and this is the closest to my house, but my experiences have been so bad that I am considering driving father away to have less frustrations.
This place used to be alright but now everyone is very stuck up, the service is consistently slow, and every time I have called I wait at least 15 minutes on hold before giving up. One time I was picking up a prescription when they received a call and no one even acknowledged it was ringing.
I'm highly satisfied with the service I received today . It was my best experience I have ever had in any CVS stores. The staff are very kind and helpful especially Michael who spent time and helped me a lot to make a very beautiful Greeting Card . Thank you so much Michael !
Was kept waiting on hold for over 10 mins for a pharmacist. Finally, after someone picks up, they just hung up the phone without saying hello. Great Customer Service CVS! I should note, it's just this particular store that's terrible. Other stores have great service usually.
Not a great experience. Was on hold for an extended period of time. I was forced to call back several times, finally got an answer from the front desk on the 3rd try. The automated phone system is an absolute nightmare. I would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone.
Front store is great but I would not recommend the pharmacy unless you want that bubble headed pharmacy intern telling the whole store your business and lying to you. Literally happened to me today and I refuse to go back I will take my business to Walgreens
This place is always busy that’s not the problem it’s when you give them your prescription they try and discourage you getting it filled here . Our insurance works with cvs they tell us to fill at cvs and this cvs just hates filling prescriptions!
Yea I will definitely never be back to this store extremely rude and no customer service skills whatsoever...basically they act like they do not want to be there and it's very obvious that they don't want to be there NOT a smile or nothing!!!!
I have called their cvs over 3 times to try and talk with a pharmacist about a script. Every time I have been on hold for well over 10 minutes. Eventually I gave up every time, and today is the last day I take my business to their pharmacy.
Incredibly disappointed in the lack of compassion and care that I encountered at this store. Train your staff better. When someone is physically hurt you don’t just tell them what aisle to buy the first aid kit and then not offer any help.
Overpriced items, and the ATM charged me a fee even though it was in the Star network and should have been surcharge-free, but the people working there were really nice so that gets them an extra star in my rating …
This is my neighborhood CVS. It has most of what I need and want. Our pharmacist, Rodney, is the best. He has been very helpful over the years. I enjoy shopping in this store, and really appreciate CVS.
Slow, disorganized, and extremely busy - not a good combination for success. Rude staff, the pharmacy cashiers roll their eyes at people and mumble negative comments - just constantly bad experiences.
The pharmacy is terrible, on hold for an hour or more at times, often hung up on while waiting. Prescriptions not ready when they're supposed to be, not even opening on time, rude customer service.
The absolute worst experience over a week with these creatures at the pharmacy. Telling me one thing one day and then when I go to pick it up they say to come back. Over three times.
I guess because they are busy most of the time their customer service is horrible. They were rude on the phone and in person. Management need to work and advise on customer service.
Places is good just 2 stars because of the parking! It's so hard to find a spot and such an inconvenience if you park far and you have to get heavy stuff..... other than that its ok
I have been on hold for over 30 minutes and all I need is the pharmacy fax number, they keep picking up the phone and putting me back on hold.. this is truly poor customer service..
The staff at this location is first-rate, especially the managing pharmacist, Rodney! They are reliable, always helpful, fast and friendly. Best customer service hands down!
I got to the pharmacy right when it opened and the pharmacist never showed up. I waited for 45 minutes and was late for work. Who knows if they ever came! So unprofessional
I would avoid this pharmacy if you can. There is always a long wait. Even if you call ahead to give instructions, they still aren’t followed when you arrive to pick up.
This place sucks! They will tell you anything to get you off the phone. They will flat out right lie to you. Their automated system sucks.I hate this place!
I go here almost every day, and Reggie is the man. He always greets people when they walk in and remembers you if you come there often. I love this CVS.
The sign says 24 hours, Google says 24 hours. Drove all the way there and this MF is not anywhere close to being open 24 hours. Stupid.
Wouldn't sell me a medication after I walked a mile to get it just because staff was being lazy early in the morning f you
Great store staff and management. The pharmacy associates and technicians need to work on friendliness/people skills.
Posted Storefront hours…7am - 11pm. Currently standing outside the front door at 7:40am in 29deg weather. Thanks!
I went to try to buy something and the cashier said I didn’t have any coupons but I applied them to my card
Pretty well-stocked, very clean, nice employees, and I'm always in and out within 5 minutes.
Love CVS Vanderbilt and their staff products and business hours
Never had to get prescriptions here. Everything else is okay.
Great Pharmacy, great customer service and friendly staff!
The dumbest people I’ve ever met work at this pharmacy
생각보다 매장이 크고, 물건이 다양했습니다. 주말까지 늦게까지 열려 있어서 좋네요.
Great staff!! Very professional!Great staff!!
